Cloud based bookkeeping – before moving onto cloud-based bookkeeping, we were always told that it is expensive. Western CPA converted our bookkeeping on the cloud. It is less expensive and much more effective. 3. Business acquisition: Western CPA certainly understand our industry very well and assisted us with many mergers and acquisitions. They also provide due diligence services and assist us in evaluating business acquisitions. Our financing and renewal of business loans are now lot quicker as they proactively provide us business plans and other documents as requested by bank. The amount of time, CRA late fees and penalties we saved after moving to them is beyond our imagination. We certainly are now in proactive mode than reactive and have better sense of our financials. I had my whole business accounting with a different accountant previously. They were not responsive, and after putting up with them for over a year, I was hit with an HST audit. My previous accountant did not respond to them, and when the deadline neared, asked for an extension then didn't respond again. I was so nervous to pick the right accountant this time. I found Chirag, and was a bit hesitant because it was a home-based office. However, I decided to talk to him on the phone and visit him. He was very knowledgeable, and able to think critically. We came up with a strategy and figured out how to act accordingly. The CRA wanted me to pay $100,000 as part of their HST audit, and denied my HST refund. They wanted me to provide loads of documentation. This was because all my customers were in the USA, but I had a Canadian business. Chirag worked with me, set up several meetings and worked diligently. Finally the assessment was finished, and Chirag was able to get us assessed at a $1,100 refund. So we went from owing $100,000 to getting a refund of $1,100. Really happy with the overall results. We had a few months during COVID-19 where Chirag was really busy, so there was a small gap that the responses was slow. But once brought to his attention, he immediately called me and reassured me everything was being taken care of.
