This place is a part of a chain specialized in traditional local cuisine. Food is really good and pretty cheap knowing the average prices in Minsk. Everything is home made with fresh products which is really nice. The mood is a bit artificial all the staff being dressed in traditional outfit and the decoration and furnitures being in a local style but it's pleasant, a bit like while visiting Disneyland. Note that for weekdays lunch the restaurant applies 15% discount on all the menu and also has a pretty cheap daily one (3 courses for 9 roubles). Also paying by MasterCard you'll get 5% discount. Home made drinks like lemonade worth their price. We went there twice and enjoyed it.

This place is really hit or miss. Some things are fresh, and some are really bad. First time we've ordered some potato pancakes and they were nice, so we came back later and ordered some mayo salad, which was definitely perished and we didn't had a mood to even bother,and just left it untouched. Plus the service is slooow..our weiter was kinda nice, but it looked more like she's trying really hard, and when I asked why it takes so long to bring our last dish ( we were already done with everything else we've ordered, including dessert) she just said " I don't know" and left.

We were informed before we make our order, that hot dishes will take about an hour to be prepared. We decided to stay and try the food, as we had read good reviews about the restaurant. So we ordered 2 beers and some appetizers. of Our food took finally almost 1hour and half to come to our table and it was not anything special. It was not bad, but when it takes so much time to be prepared, it has to be something that really worths the time spent waiting. The waiter was a nice guy and seemed to feel bad for the delay. At least it is cheap...

If Disney did typecast "traditional" restaurants then this would be it. It makes me think that hotels are so afraid of the downside of recommending something different that they inadvertently create an oligopoly of average, "clean" and acceptable restaurants to the Western pallet. Picture menu, traditionally dressed waiting staff and a restaurant that looks and feels like a staff canteen made of wood. The food is passable and the drinks are club 18/30. You won't hate it, but you won't like it. You will just feel lost in a puddle of average.

The restaurant has a good ambience and decent range of traditional dishes on the menu although prices are slightly above average. We visited for an evening dinner and whilst we enjoyed our meals we found the service somewhat slow. When the hot main courses were finally served to the table I began to think that my cold herrings starter had been overlooked or forgotten but they actually served the 'starter' about ten minutes later. The restaurant wasn't especially busy so the reason for serving courses out if order is unclear.

Food with a lot of fat - what is typical for belarusian cousine, but my stomach seems to not understend it :) Hard to find something light there. Design is very nice, old belarusian style. The service does not speak English, nevertheless you can get English menu. Once I was waiting almost one hour in a cue and when I finally got a table, the waiter informed me that I need to wait one hour for a dish and 15 minutes for a glass of water. So I can recommend it only if you have time in early hours, and if you like fat meals.

I've visited the restaurant on a weekday without reservation. I couldn't able to find a seat at the patio, so I had to sit inside. Staff was friendly but they didn't speak English much, so we used Google Translate and body language mostly. I ordered mineral water, borscht and babka with sour sauce. They didn't served the mineral water cold and they didn't change it(it was summer). Anyway I liked the soup and the other potato dish. I paid 16 rubles. In general prices are reasonable.

Food below average; holodnik OK but not excellent; ribs very fatty and not much care went into the preparation; on top of that warm barely enough to eat; underwhelming cheesake. Poor service, seated a group of 7 at a table that was comfortable for maybe 5; we had to ask for additional chairs; we didn't get enough cutlery and got main course served in the middle of eating soup/starter. Empty glasses taken from the table which is uninviting to stay longer and get more drinks.

One of the best places to eat in the city, especially if you are looking for a traditional Belarusian food in a Belarusian style place. They also have other comfort foods, not related to Belarusian traditional, but nevertheless tasty and well worth a try. I visit this place rather often and I am mostly satisfied with everything. Nice cozy interior, moderate prices, delicious national food. Sometimes service is not excellent: yesterday no one met us at the entrance and offered us table to seat, so we just entered and chosen place ourselves. Then waiter gave me almost ruined menu. But the dishes were put at the table in a good order, next dish was brought only after the previous had been eaten.

We had a horrible experience where we waited for our coffee for 15 mins, our appetizers for 45 minutes (which were supposed to take 15-20mins). After waiting for an hour and half for our main course we decided to cancel our order. Even though it was a busy time, no efforts were made to accommodate us. Other locations of this restaurant are a lot better. I would recommend going to any location, but this one!

Disgusting place . Staff is not helpful at all . Do not inform about time of cooking. Don't explain anything. Was waiting for my food more than 45 minutes . Noone told me it would take sooo long. Noone inform me during the waiting . Not recommend this place at all . There are so many good places around with a great food and staff . My friends got some food and it was cold . Don't waste your time .

Everything we ordered was pre-cooked and served almost immediately after ordering and luke-warm. I hope tourists will find alternative places to sample Belarus cuisine as Vaselki is very far from that representation.

We came here a couple of times and it always takes very long to get the food. Minimum waiting is 30 min but today it got worse. We received the food 1 hour after we arrived. Ordering was 10 min so 50 min to prepare hash browns with sausages and a fried egg. On top the sausage was half faw I side. Food in general is very good but this waiting is a no go.

The food is pretty good, but the service is horribly slow. People consistently wait for 40 minutes for their orders. But most alarming is that if you sit in the central section anywhere near the serving window, you will be subjected to having to listen to the cooks and waiters constantly yelling at each other and bickering loudly. Very unprofessional.

Wonderful place to visit especially if you want a bit of authentic Belarusian dish I came here for dinner and breakfast two days in a row and I must rate this 9/10 for everything. Very spacious and cosy environment and can fit a lot of people who want some decent meal! Situated closed enough to the centre if anyone wants something!

Medium prices, a lot of space, friendly staff, national cuisine. Highly recommended for visiting and spending at least an evening with friends and/or family. Get some draniki, potato with mushrooms and cream sauce, Belarusian nalivki (vodka or smthing like this, but berry-based) and let your mind and body rest there!

Not Good! Not recommended! I have been here more than 5x and the waiters there just dont want to work. They dont want to take orders; they told me it will take minimum 45 minutws and that it can take even longer. Every time! Very impolite. Very slow. Its over!

We came there with 3 kids. Made easy choice, but had to wait long time. Food came in 3 very separated waives (while there was one course per person ordered and should come together). It's was not fully busy to have any excuse for such delay. Though personal was nice and food is good there.

Good local cuisine at a good price. The dumplings and fish were really nice and the environment is nice to sit in. Good food for a decent price and very much what you would expect. It's a nice place without being too expensive but at the same time it won't blow your expectations away

3 of 4 dishes were very bad. The steak seems to be in the pan for hours, it was much too tough. The crust of the fish was not a bit crusty and tasted like a fast food dish. Besides we waited 45 min for our dinner. It is a nice cosy location but no opportunity for us to go again.

Good place to eat Belarusian classics like kalduny, draniki, and kletsky. Their interior design also looks really cool, like it's in a birch forest. Prices are ok as you'll be really full. The bathroom is one of the cleanest I've seen in Belarus. You can pay by card.

I was pleasantly surprised with the food here. The restaurant has an authentic feel to it and the dishes that I tried were all excellent. The menu has many different options so you could go here a few different times just to try everything.

Great food, good service. Food took kinda long but its to be expected, considering how the place allways is busy. 3 sitting areas; 1 outside smoking area, one bigger inside and a tiny loft with a few seats for a more quiet dinig experience.

Wonderful food. Had a smoothie that was bright green, spinach apple, mushroom crepes and locally made soup with sausage that was sour with lemon slices. Dark bread is a local favorite. Had some Cassis cordial. Yum.

Visited in May 2019. Great selection of local cuisine, mainly dumplings and potato-based dishes. Occasional slips in service but overall a very pleasant experience with reasonable prices.

Previously OK but this time took over an hour for draniki, not the most complex of dishes, to arrive. The two arrived at different times so we did not eat together. Not impressed!

The food is delicious, we returned twice! There is an English menu and the staff speak a little English which was great. The beer was really good too. Overall not expensive.
