The room and toilet is clean. And that is where it stops. Staff needs to be trained on how to speak to guests. Security was stuffing his face with food and didnt see my husband entering the front door. When he realised that my husband had not have his bag checked, he shouted “Oi!!” to him. What a welcome. As we entered the breakfast area,we were told that we couldn’t ( in a rude manner) . The staff in front could have said politely if she could check with front desk on whether we had paid but no, she shook her head and raised her voice. Not acceptable when you talk to guests. Ordered waffles during breakfast to a male staff but he gestured that it was not his job and pointed to female staff . After some time, i went back to the waffle station , only to be told first that there was no more waffles. After that , they said that the machine was spoiled. I told them that someone should have informed me at least rather than just make me wait.There were only 2 families left in the entire breakfast area, mind you. I thought maybe it was due to culture difference and that was the way they communicate here but the porter and chambermaids were lovely and said hi and welcomed us with smiles, despite not being well conversed in English. Please train your staff. Especially those in the frontliners.

My wife and I stayed 2 nights in Cairo at the Novotel by the Airport. I am giving it a bad review for the following reasons: 1. Rude front desk at check in and check out. 2. Septic smell in washroom and throughout entire room if washroom doors were left open. 3. Thin walls, we could hear conversations in the next room. 4. Room was very small. 5. Unable to charge items to the room, including room service and bar drinks. 6. We informed cleaning lady not to clean our room (there was no 'do not disturb' sign to use) however she 'cleaned' it anyways but didn't replace all the big towels. When we returned and asked her for a towel, she provided one but then blocked the door requesting a tip. 7. We found a small hotel towel in our luggage when we were packing up. We suspect that maybe someone went though the luggage, and accidentally put the towel in there as they repacked everything in (there is no other proof other than the small towel though, and nothing was missing because we didn't leave anything of value in the hotel). 8. The hotel shuttle service didn't offer to help load or unload the suitcases onto the van for us, but he still demanded a tip for the 5 minute drive back to the airport.

Firstly, the staff of the hotel were friendly. However, the hotel was full of shortcomings that need your attention and action. I had 2 connected rooms and the comments are: 1. The smell of the carpets was awful and bad. 2. There was a man playing music in the lobby of the hotel, focus please as it is the lobby, and the waiter in the coffee lounge charged me (Listening Fees), can you imagine that!!!! Listening Fees for a musician who was performing in the lobby not inside a closed facility. The waiter waved the fees after (consulting) his manager. 3. The bathrooms did not have (Shataf) which was strange as Egypt is a Muslim -Arab country not a Western one. 4. The hall of receiving the water of the shower and letting it out in the sewerage was broken and always open which allowed the dirty bad smell comes from the sewerage. 5. The card readers on the rooms' doors were mostly broken and did not have the original covers. The faucet on the basin is very small and tiny so our hands were always hitting the basin.

The hospitality of the housekeeping and restaurant and the breakfast buffet that is included are remarkable. The coffee at the coffee shop is the best in Cairo. They hlgave is day rate, check in at 10am, check out at 3pm for $150usd. Everything else.... 1 star. The shops are over priced. The reception tried to insist that we needed two rooms for three adults when we asked for only one. The spa is a joke. It's filthy, dingy, the massage room is a dark partition room with a table. It's dirty-- the steam room has soggy tissue on the ground, the sauna wood was black from grime... THE JACUZZI WAS WAS FOGGY AND COLD!!!! None of the three girls at the front could accommodate the simple requests of including simple sauna use with massage service. There is junk all over and no locker space available. The hotel room was sufficient and the bathrooms in the room was spacious. There is a refrigerator and a safe. The pool area looks nice and clean.

The hotel is a bit tired but my room was located in the “new Wing” and was absolutely fine - clean with all amenities . The window opened allowing fresh air and a view over the green lawn and pool area . Very quiet. . Good fitness centre The staff were fantastic - friendly and caring. Khaled (in the Italian restaurant by the pool ) ensured I had a perfect mezze plate - very fresh and plentiful. The ladies in housekeeping were attentive and responsive. The price was good , the location excelle and free frequent shuttle to the airport. V convene or for an overnite stay

Nice hotel, but 3 main issues: 1. Air conditioning was useless. Set at minimum temp, with fan on high and overnight full on, reduced the room temp from 25 deg to 23.5 2. Each evening when arriving at my room, my door open key would not work. Happened 3 times, so had to take a long trek (big hotel) down to reception and queue to get it reactivated. Note, I was careful to keep my key card well away from my phone 3. Price they wanted to charge at reception was significantly higher than that given me when I made the booking. Good job I had a copy of my original booking

The room, although booked for two beds for three people, was only one bed. When I requested an upgrade and was willing to pay for a suite, the staff told me it was already the best room. The room was dirty, smelled of smoke, and had carpet, linen, and curtain stains. When we needed to extend our stay and went to the front desk for help, they refused and told us to book online. We also requested business services and we were turned away twice before being allowed to complete them. It was disappointing.

واضح جدا اغلب التعليقات تمدح بمبالغة السعر مقابل الخدمة عموما عالي جدا منطقة الاستقبال جيدة الغرف والممرات كانك في سكن شركة تمشي الين تتعب خاصة اذا غرفتك بالكورنر المسابح اثنين والساحة جميلة المكان حق ليلة واحدة لاجل النوم والاكل فقط دخلت غرفة ممكن تكون مش جاهزة او مسكونه بعد ما اعطاني الاستقبال مفتاحها المهم تم النبديل فورا الادوات ناقصة في الغرفة والحمام خاصة كفرشة الاسنان والاحذية وبعض الادوات اللي يجب ان توجد مقابل السعر المدفوع امثر من ١٠٠ دولار لليلة سررت بانني جربت الاقامة بدون مرافقين عشان ما تعم الفوضى النفسية والصدمة تكون محدودة ‍♂️

My wife and I love Novotel cairo international airport. It is always our number one choice to stay in before leaving abroad. Food is very standard enough for good breakfast meal. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The reason I rank room 4 stars is that after shower too much water gets out of the shower cabinet make rest room like a small lake, surprisingly everyone knows about this issue and admitting it but no action taken.

Thank you for your reply! I just wanted to say that I waited for 40 to 50 mins and didn't see the bus shuttle arriving to the airport to go to the hotel. Sorry but this was the only bad thing. I was really disappointed and tired. I had to get a taxi instead (10$). However transportation from hotel to airport was great.

Small dirty rooms. Our room was unlocked when we arrived. Passage way carpets were dirty and smelly. The curtains did not fully cover the glass door. There was no shower gel despite calling and asking numerous times. Our request for an iron was totally ignored. This is probably the dirtiest hotel I have stayed at.

I stayed in the standard room and essentials were missing from the room like water bottle, sleeper in the bathroom etc. Service wasn't as expected I had wifi issue in my room so I reported it and they said they will get it checked. Nobody checked it. I asked to change my room and was told that no rooms are available.

The service was exemplary and Miriam was particularly helpful. The food was also great! It is certainly a very good place for someone looking for a place to spend sometime before their next flight; it is located quite close to the airport and there are shuttles leaving to and from about every 30 mins.

Rooms aren’t too big, but fine for a one night stay, but they are clean enough comparing to other hotels in the area close to the airport. Bathroom was tidy also, but not wide. Staff were helpful and cheerful. In my opinion, i think the lighting is too low, which makes the place a bit gloomy. Tea and coffee were available in the room and 2 bottles of water.

It was the first time I have been in Novotel hotel. The staff is very friendly and responsive specially Mohanad from the front desk. I usually had my breakfast at the hotel restaurant which is delicious and has various options of food. I really enjoyed my stay there.

Really really courteous and helpful staff. Food is excellent. Not a bad experience.. Taxis are really expensive though but understandable. A lot security which is also a really good thing. Meeting rooms were also very comfortable and adequate

A very good experience. We chose the hotel because of its proximity to the airport as we had to take an early morning flight the next day. The hotel was very good and provided a free airport shuttle as well. Definitely recommended.

Thorough security and a nice lobby area when checking in. However, after this standards dropped considerably. Hallway from the elevator to the room was very dirty. Room was not much better with a very scruffy feel in the hotel outside of reception. Not worthy of the price paid.

Never posted review earlier, may be their front desk submitted the review while setting up wifi in the mobile. Hotel rooms were very dated, bathroom had no exhaust fan and had mold/mildew, shower curtain had turned deep yellow and might not have been cleaned or replaced for years. Very much unlike Novotel experienced everywhere else.
