I used Trekking Planner for a first-ever trip to Nepal in November 2022; my 65-year-old father and I completed the Three Passes trek using Trekking Planner’s services. I could praise this company for pages and pages - if you’re looking for a positive, well managed, supportive experience visiting Nepal, go with Trekking Planner! From my very first email inquiries, I could tell that the business would be perfect for what we needed. The owner, Dipak, was so responsive and answered every question I had. Because the company didn’t have a preset date for the trek we wanted, they set up a private trek - just me, my dad, and our guide and porter. And because my dad has loved Ama Dablam since he was a small child, we even added a side trip to Ama Dablam Base Camp as part of our trek… Trekking Planner had no issue totally curating our itinerary to make sure we got exactly what we wanted out of our experience! From arriving in Nepal and being picked up at the airport, to being put up in a beautiful little hotel in Thamel before and after our trek, EVERY detail was handled Trekking Planner. As first-time visitors to Nepal, it was wonderful to be able to relax and enjoy without any of the stress of planning the details ourselves. When my dad’s flight ended up changing, making him arrive in Kathmandu hours ahead of me, it was no problem - Trekking Planner picked him up and delivered him safely to the hotel, and was there to pick me up when I arrived later, too. The trek itself was incredible. Our guide, Ananta, was very knowledgeable and experienced… and patient with our constant stopping for photos! We felt like we were in very capable hands; there was always a plan for each day, and our acclimatization was slow and steady, giving us the best chance to avoid altitude issues. Our safety and health always came first, and there was always a feeling of an open dialogue. We met many other trekkers during our weeks on the trail, and some traveling solo. To be honest, when I was first looking into coming to Nepal, I was leaning toward going solo / unguided myself. My dad and I are experienced backpackers and climbers; I wasn’t sure if I’d enjoy being “guided.” However, I now look back and can’t imagine going solo! It would have made the trip so much more difficult in so many ways - and less enjoyable because of the added stress. Using Trekking Planner, we got to simply hike and immerse ourselves in the amazing beauty around us, without any concerns of finding a lodge for the night in each village or navigating the unique experience that is the Lukla airport. If you want to have the best experience possible, use a guide service. Beyond what I’ve already mentioned, supporting the local economy by employing a guide and porter is really important. It was clear throughout the trek that Trekking Planner has really strong relationships everywhere you go. At each lodge, we were treated so well, and even at the Lukla airport I observed the Trekking Planner guides able to get good information from the airport workers, so that we could stay up to date (and get seats on the planes back to Kathmandu! Some unguided travelers got bumped, because preference goes to guide services). In Kathmandu after the trek, we were treated to a farewell dinner from Dipak and even offered complimentary massages from our hotel’s spa services. We couldn’t take advantage of that last part, as I had hurt my ribs toward the end of the trip, but it is just another example of how Dipak and Trekking Planner really take care of all their clients, down to the smallest details. I couldn’t be happier with how our trip went, and truly owe most of that to Trekking Planner. My dad will likely not be back to Nepal, so I’m so grateful that his bucket list trip was handled so professionally and gave him everything he could have wanted from it. I am quite sure I’ll be back at some point - maybe for an easy climbing trip like Mera or Island Peak - and I’ll absolutely use Trekking Planners services again. Five stars, 10/10!

EVEREST BASE CAMP TREK FOR 13 DAYS IN NOVEMBER 2018: AN AWESOME FIRST TREK! I went on a solo journey for the Everest Base Camp trek and decided to join a small group as it was my first time on trekking. I was grateful for Dipak, owner at Trekking Planners, as he had made arrangements according to the requests I made from the email. The response was smooth and quick, no matter the time difference in the country I'm in, he made certain that everything is planned when I arrive. Anil and Anish were great guides who we were with us on the course of our trek. They ensured that we were on track, followed through the course and enjoy during the trek at the same time. I was slow-paced as the altitude increased and they were both considerate of my well-being, even pursuing to move forward was tough as I ran out of breath, still, they looked after me well. We were given good advise on the best food to eat in the mountains to avoid any discomforts while we proceed on our trek. Good and comfortable accommodations were provided. I was close to not having reached the EBC as I had AMS but they helped me out to recover, the following day, I felt better and moved ahead! We became good friends along the way. Overall, my goal of getting to EBC was the best moment and celebrated with my newfound friends who were with me on this journey! As my journey ended, flights unexpectedly cancelled the last day I was about to fly due to bad weather. As I needed to fly back urgently, it was impossible on that very day. I'm grateful for Anish as he went his way all throughout assisting me and ensured to get me on the flight the next day. I got on a chopper, got safely in Kathmandu and Dipak picked me up from the airport and got a great hotel to comfortably settle in for the day. All the trip was a memorable one and I would like to give thanks to Dipak, Anil and Anish for all the hardwork and great planning in order for me to have a memorable journey to the Everest Base Camp and a safe trip back home!

EBC Trek - Awesome Team, Professional Approach & very Responsive Review of Everest Base Camp Trekking My wife & her friends went for an Everest Base Camp trip with Trekking Planner and we were completely satisfied with the whole experience. From the first time we spoke to Mr. Dipak, we knew we would have a good team to support our adventure. Dipak ji & his team are very professional in their approach, their response time for any question/concern is usually within a few hours in spite of all the time differences across the globe. There was full Transparency in their communication, full details were provided ahead of time & their Pricing was fair. I must also add, they are very flexible too. We had a few changes throughout our planning process including 2 people dropping off at the last minute, but Dipak ji was very accommodating all along. If you think you want to go to EBC or any trekking adventure in Nepal you must use Nepal Trekking Planner. From my first inquiry, Dipak was very quick to communicate and answer all questions. He took care of every detail of the trip from airport pick up to setting additional nights in a hotel to ensuring I was able to get COVID testing per country requirements on entry and exit--- he truly personalizes each trip to your needs. They even run trips on select dates even if you are a solo traveler with no additional fees. Ananta was my guide and since it was just me he also portered my bags. I certainly left Nepal with people who I now consider dear friends, and I am so lucky to have had someone to keep me laughing and positive while on the trek. Ananta was amazing, and I honestly wouldn't have finished the trek if it wasn't for him. When I came down with altitude sickness and wanted to quit, he assessed my symptoms and encouraged me rest and let me know it would be better tomorrow-- which it definitely was. He pushed me and encouraged positive thoughts only which is truly what got me through the trek. Things with the government and a lockdown d/t COVID happened quickly while I was there and both Dipak and Ananta went above and beyond to ensure I could get back to the US before all international flights were shut down. Ananta never left my side and kept me calm while he was dealing with all my tears because I thought I was going to be stuck in Nepal for an unknown period of time. He was also such a trooper--even with a sprained ankle after a fall, he never complained and was still faster than me getting down the mountain! These two are a great team! and EBC is amazing! My family and I had a really lovely time in Nepal. This was due, in no small measure, to the superb itinerary arranged by Mr. Dipak of Trekking Planner. All the transport and hotels were organised by him. The hotels were very clean and came with swimming pools, en-suite, WiFi, HDTV, great restaurants and above all really friendly and helpful staff. The hotels were comparable to any I have stayed in, in Europe. Mr. Dipak organised Trekking Planner guides to be with us for our entire stay. The guides - Mr. Kedar and Saritaben looked after us really well. Their local knowledge was very useful, whether it was about the history of different places or where the really good restaurants were, to getting us good rates at the places where we had to buy entrance tickets. And this is typical of Trekking Planner - the personal touch. Mr. Dipak was always available to be contacted if the need arose. He met us at the airport on our arrival and also took us there for our departure (even though it was an early morning flight). He would contact us regularly when we were on the road to make sure that everything was alright. Mr. Dipak also took us out for lunch and dinner while were there. Nepal is a beautiful country and the Nepalese people are truly wonderful. This was our first holiday to Nepal, but it will not be our last. There are so many wonderful places to see and things to do that you cannot do everything in one visit. We will definitely be going back to Nepal and, when we do, we will be asking Mr. Dipak of Trekking Planner to organise our trip. We started reaching out to trekking operators many months before our trip, wanting to find a reasonably priced, responsive, professional operator that would tailor an itinerary to our needs.  From the first contact to the end of our trip, Dipak was extremely responsive, always answering emails within a day, and carefully addressing any questions.  We spoke with a few other operators, but Trekking Planner Nepal quickly became the obvious choice, in part due to reviews from other customers, but mostly due to our first hand experience with Dipak in the early planning stages.  Our goup started as four to five friends, but ended up being just two of us, so we were given a guide and one porter to share. These guys were amazing.  Our guide Sonam was friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, professional, and also flexible.  We made a few small itinerary changes along the way, and he helped us evaluate our ideas realistically and then handled the logistics seamlessly.  Our porter Kazi was equally professional and friendly, and we sincerely enjoyed our time with both of them, and could not have asked for a better crew.  There are so many details I could share about the trip itself, which was filled with stunning views, and a sense of accomplishment that grew with each physical feat, but there are endless resources for understanding what the various routes entail, and the main objective of this review is to specifically recommend Trekking Planner Nepal.  If I were to return to Nepal in the future, no doubt I would contact Dipak again for assistance.  Thanks Dipak, Sonam and Kazi for everything!

I highly recommend Nepal trekking planner for all your Nepal area trekking needs. I recently signed up for the EBC trek with them ( 10 days EBC with Chopper return ) and it was such a great pleasure working with them . They took care of all the end to end needs ..right from pickup from the Kathmandu airport to the entire trekking trip . Dipak ( the CEO of the company ) was in constant touch with me prior to the trip and did a perfect seamless planning for my entire trip .His guide Sonam executed the same perfectly and enabled me to complete my greatest dream ever to have my Trek completed safely( sound and secure ) . Dipak has an amazing team working around for every single patrons they deal with . Diken , Dipak’s son and trekking planner-lead received me at the Airport and helped me to visit their office in Kathmandu the prior day . The company’s entire crew helped me get preped up for this trip immediately from the day I landed .Right from finding a comfortable hotel accommodation in Kathmandu , enabling cell phone data plans, providing Gear rentals , helped to get me the much needed comfort factor before the trip . His Porter Chhong Dorjee Sherpa and Guide Sonam Sherpa did an amazing job being with me thru out the trip and taking care of me every single moment .All the teahouses that they have association with thru out the trip were of good quality and no complaints !! They satisfied all my trekking needs and went above and beyond and they deserve a five star and I highly recommend this company for your future trekking needs in the Nepal region .

Communications with Dipak before and during my Nepal visit was prompt and informative, no enquiries dismissed even the small ones. He follows through once in the country, as well as being available. My trip was a 'slow and easy Everest' which reaches 3,800m for those not wanting to complete the full Everest run. I was a solo, senior female traveller and my guide Lhapka and porter Pemba were two pleasant and personable young men. I found the estimated walking time per day to be a fair estimate, having reached daily destinations well within the indicated walking time frame, even though I would have appeared to be slow, in particular on ascent at 3,800. Accommodation for the area is pretty standard, but one in particular I think could have been improved on (namely Khumjung). Namche had the best (access to hot, cubicled shower). One destination was not reached, Tengboche due to a couple of factors. One, not securing accommodation in advance, even with a major Monastery celebration. The second, being my decision not to attempt the long ascent from Phunki Thanga to Tengboche to then turn around the next day and retrace part of the trail finishing with another ascent to Namche. This resulted in being one day ahead of the itinerary, giving an extra day in Lukla which was way too long. Having said all this I have no hesitation in recommending Nepal Trekking Planner and Dipak for his dedication and professional approach in providing a trustworthy service.

I went with a friend to go to EBC and he had used Trekking Planner previously and had received a first class service, so naturally we booked with them again this time The quality of service we received from Dipak and his team was absolutely outstanding. From the moment we landed at Kathmandu airport we were greeted by one of the team who drove us to our hotel. The hotel was perfectly placed within the town and was extremely comfortable with a superb restaurant and facilities. The following day we were driven around Kathmandu to see all of the famous spots The guide spoke exceptional English and was incredibly knowledgeable regarding the history of the town Then onto the trek itself, Our guide Suman was an absolute pleasure to work with and he always made sure his guests were fed and watered at the various tea houses before he would sort his own meals out He made sure the porter dropped our kit off in the tea houses and carried out regular Oxygen level tests. I felt completely relaxed and confident in his ability to guide us safely to EBC. We made it to EBC with no issues to speak of and it truly was a fantastic once in a lifetime experience. All of the headache of booking flights Taxis Guides etc was all taken care of by Dipak and his team. I spent 3 weeks in Kathmandu and trekking to Everest Base Camp with some friends. During the few days prior to heading out to EBC, we spent some time in Kathmandu. We did some local tours planned through Trekking Planner out to Patan and Bhaktapur, and then through sites in Kathmandu itself. I don't think you could really have a better guide than Kidar who was literally the head of Nepal Tourism for a while and knows everyone. After leaving Kathmandu and heading for Lukla, we were in the wonderful hands of our guides Anil and Pemba. While the trekking was tough at times, it took us through such beautiful areas. The tea houses we were booked in were nice tea houses and the food was good. I was a bit on the slow side and Pemba usually stayed back with me to make sure I was doing alright, which was nice, it made me feel like if something had gone wrong, I would have had someone to help me. The mountains all around us were some of the most amazing things I had ever seen. They make the Rockies seem small. Loved the trip. After we got back to Kathmandu, it was discovered during Covid testing to return home, that I had caught Covid on the trail. Dipak helped me take care of communication with the hotel and checked in on me every day until I was able to return home. Knowing I had Dipak keeping an eye on me made both me and my family back home feel better about the situation. Thanks for an awesome trip!

Where do I start? There are so many concerns while picking up the right tour company for your trek. After a lot of looking around, we finally booked trekking planner for our EBC trek. And Boy! It was the best decision. Dipak was super patient and helpful in addressing all our queries. It was a really smooth experience from the moment we landed in Kathmandu. We were welcomed with a lovely welcome dinner (a cultural show here was a surprise) and then the following day we were taken for a guided tour of Kathmandu. When we arrived in Lukla, we were received by our cheerful guide Gyeljan, porters Chhongba and Gelu. Gyeljan took care of all our needs and made sure that we were all very comfortable. He kept our spirits up specially on the difficult trekking days when it was the most needed. He is the best guide one could ask for. Don’t forget to ask him his card tricks. Chhongba and Gelu were also super helpful and really a lot of fun to be trekking with. Our days would end with us playing various board games/pool with Chhongba and Gelu. Accommodations on all the days was very comfortable, hygienic and the food was good too. As requested we got attached washrooms with our rooms on all days except just for Gorakshep. All in all guys it was a Fantastic experience. Look no more and book trekking planner. You can thank me later!

Beginning of this year I ‘ve started to plan my trip to Nepal. I wanted to do a trekking tour and also some sightseeing. After some research I decided to do my trekking tour with TREKKING PLANER and this was a really good decision. Dipak (the manager of this company) also help me to plan my sightseeing tour and the only thing I needed to do was to tell him what I want to see and which dates I want to come. From the first moment when I arrived in Nepal there was always someone taking care of me. I was picked up at the airport, bus stations and so on. During the sightseeing tours in Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan I had really nice guides who made this time unforgettable for me. After one week of traveling in Nepal I ‘ve started a trekking tour from Lukla to the Everest Base Camp and the Gokyo Valley including the Cho La Pass. This tour was also perfectly organized and I had the best guide I could imagine. We were always laughing and we had a lot of fun. Most evenings we spent together in the tea houses and it was great to listen to his experience in the mountains. At the end I think my trip to Nepal could not have been better and I ‘m really thankful to Dipak and his team. If you are thinking about a trip to Nepal and you need some help with the organization I can warmly recommend TREKKING PLANER.

I knew I needed a trusted company to help me arrange Everest Base Camp, and I am so, so glad I found Trekking Planner (through here, actually)! As soon as you walk in, you're made to feel like family, and that feeling doesn't end... even after the hike. EBC, which well-known, is still no joke. I felt totally safe and fully supported - which was a big thing for me as I was unsure how the high altitude would affect me. Not many of the guides from different agencies were doing this which surprised me a little. I had 16 days in the mountains and enjoyed every minute. As things became harder or easier, my intinery was flexible with Ananta very willing recommend alternatives and to make changes to suit. This made a real difference and I really felt that I got the most from my trek. I recently completed the Manaslu and Tsum Valley trek with Trekking Planner and I can honestly say that it was one of the best decisions I made. I’m a 22-year old female student and I decided to go on my own. From the beginning on it was very easy to communicate and get any information from Dipak, who was always very professional and helpful. He answered all my questions, gave me some advice and was always very honest with me. Everyone I met at the agency was very kind and welcoming. During the trek I had an absolutely incredible time. My guide Shusil and the porter Thoman both did an amazing job and were such a nice company. I always felt safe, had a lot of time for myself but never felt alone. We really adapted the trek to my pace and needs, and Shusil was always ready to help me, especially when we had to modify the itinerary when I got sick. I had an incredible experience climbing Mera Peak with my boyfriend, Gyeljin Sherpa (our guide) and Umesh (our porter). The trip was superbly organised by Dipak at Nepal Trekking Planner, so everything went smoothly and we were well informed throughout. I am coeliac and he made sure I had gluten free snacks which was hugely appreciated. During the trip Gyeljin and Umesh were a brilliant team to spend time with. We really enjoyed having their support (which was always incredibly attentive and professional) but also their conversation and company. Gyeljin's English is amazing and we spent 14 days laughing, joking and learning. I am also so grateful to Gyeljin for his gentle encouragement and mountain knowledge that got me up to the peak on the summit morning when I was really struggling with the altitude. Making it up there was the highlight of my Nepal experience. Thanks again to the whole team. As a side note to women trekkers, be aware that it can be harder to find the right sized gear to hire at Kare.

10/10 would definitely recommend Trekking Planner! The entire experience was top notch. My daughter and I were taken care of so well by Dipak and his team from the moment we landed in Kathmandu. He was able to arrange an extra day of sight seeing for us and fielded all of our pre-trek questions and concerns without batting an eye. We completed the Manaslu Circuit trek (14 days) with our guide Sandip and porter Suraj. Sandip was so knowledgeable and attentive. He was able to balance my 26 year old daughters fast pace while ensuring I was taken care of especially at high altitude over the pass and provided us with not only a safe, but cultural, experience as well. Suraj was very kind and checked in on us often. While some porters rushed ahead he stayed with us ensuring one of us did not get too far ahead or drop too far behind. I can not recommend Trekking Planner enough! Dipak and his team are extremely efficient in what they do. As a first time solo traveler, I had my share of worries about somethings, however, the Trekking Planner team were always ready to make you feel comfortable and reassured about any worries. Anil, my trekking guide was very knowledgeable and consistently helpful. As someone who had less than average fitness level, it was very difficult for me in the beginning of the trekk. My guide had adapted to my level and worked with me to achieve more realistic goals. He made the journey fun and enjoyable and showed outstanding patience considering my many needs. The yoga every morning in the breathtaking scenery had helped me to mentally and physically prepare for the day ahead and had also helped me to lose a few pounds (bonus). I am a 21-year-old female and recently completed the three passes trek solo with a guide in 17 days. I can honestly state that my trip was nothing short of amazing. I just completed a climb with Trekking Planner- Gyeljan Sherpa and I summited Mera peak on 4/30 and made a dream of mine come true! This is the second time i come to Nepal with Trekking Planner and it is always a pleasure to plan and work with Dipak! Everything is organized to the smallest detail-from airport pick up, to meals and gear rentals-everything is great every time! Gyeljan was more than an excellent guide, he made sure i am ok at all times not only physically but mentally also when above 6000m! Pasang was also making sure i am well fed and taken care of at all times while at the lodges. Dipak made sure the return and stay at hotel was rescheduled smoothly due to ongoing changes. This is an amazing company that provides the best service both in Kathmandu and high in the mountains! I will be back next year for sure!!! Thank you for everything!!!

A successful trek through Nepal trekking Planner! It was our very first experience of this sort and we had many queries and concerns for the trek. Dipak was very efficient and responsive in every aspect. He was true to his word to all that he had promised to provide us with. Especially attached toilets to the rooms. Also when we suddenly decided a helicopter ride back from gorakshep, he immediately got us the best deal. There was never a delay or wait for pickup or drop. Trekking Planner sets the bar so high! From beginning to end, the experience was gold standard. Excellent communication, seamless airport transfers, a very warm and inviting staff, and a clean and comfortable hotel… and that’s just in Kathmandu. The Everest Three Passes Trek was INCREDIBLE! Trekking Planner has professional and knowledgeable guides who make the trip fun, and they organize great tea houses with comfortable beds and delicious food. The only thing this company can’t do… is provide perfect weather. :) But even with a few snowy days with no visibility, the trek was still incredible and will be remembered for the rest of my life. If you have the time to dedicate to the Three Passes Trek, go for that over the traditional EBC route. Absolutely fantastic experience! 6 stars for Dipak and his team if I could.

The trek was very well organized by trekking planner. Dipak is very prompt with whatever questions we had all throughout the trek. We had especially insisted on attached bathrooms, and were delivered what we were promised. He made sure our stay was comfortable from the beginning up to the end. The prices quoted by him are reasonable and value for money. Our guide Gyeljan kept us safe. He was very entertaining and made sure we had a great time. I recommend him completely. We actually planned to go to Everest base camp (trekking & yoga). Due to the weather and cancelled flights for two days Dipak (Manager of trekking planner) helped us to find an alternative. We just finished an amazing trek to Everest Base Camp! We were also supposed to go to Gokyo Lakes, but I unfortunately got altitude sickness and needed to descend early. Our guide Sudip helped me carry my pack when I couldn’t carry it myself, and took excellent care of me when I wasn’t feeling well. He helped us figure out a new itinerary for our remaining days and taught us a lot of Nepali words and even some new dance moves. Even though our trip didn’t go exactly as hoped with my illness, we still had so much fun on our trek. I am sad to be leaving Nepal and hope I can come back for another trek with Trekking Planner and Sudip soon!

Thanks to Dipak I was able to spontaneously organize my trip to Nepal and the trekking to ABC. He was very quick to respond and everything was organised smoothly and easily. My guide Binod was doing a great job keeping me motivated and laughing every day even in times when there was not much going on (because it was off-season) he kept me entertained! We had a great time trekking in Nepal and felt totally safe during this trip thanks to our guide Ananta and porter Indra. They were incredible- really helpful, patient and friendly! We would love to come back to Nepal just to spend more time doing another trek with them. Ananta had a great sense of humor and made the trekking very enjoyable and Indra was really sweet, patient and super friendly! We ended up spending one day less in the mountains than what we had originally planned, but the company was very flexible and Dipak changed it without any problem. Great experience!

I recently completed a trek to Everest Base camp with Trekking planner. Was supposed to do the high passes but fell ill with slight altitude sickness but I still managed to get to Gokyo though to see the lakes. Dipak did a great job organising everything. Wonderful trip to Nepal arranged by Mr Dipak and his team. My family and I saw so much of Nepal in the best ways possible thanks to this team. Sarita, our tour guide, was with us the whole time with excellent English and knowledge of the country. We were also provided with a vehicle to take us all over Nepal. Incredibly organised by Mr Dipak to ensure we got the best out of Nepal, the hotels he had arranged for us were also amazing. The organisation of this holiday made it so memorable for us all.

Had an awesome 4 weeks in Nepal on the Annapurna Circuit. Great set of guides and porters. Excellent organization by Dipak. Included flight past Everest and paragliding in Pokhara. Should add that the trail as far as Manang is being disrupted by a new road. Hopefully the trail will be rebuilt off road.
