Bangladesh is an independent country located in South-East Asia. It is bordered by India and Bay of Bengal and little bit Burma. Dhaka is the capital of Bangladesh, located in the heart (center) of Bangladesh. Bangladesh is small country, but it's very rich in its historical site. There are several historical place available in Bangladesh. People and tourists love to visit these historical places. Here, we are going to publish a rich list of Historical Place in Bangladesh. Mosques: Dhaka is the capital of Bangladesh that is why it has an importance. Dhaka is known as the city of mosque. There are thousands of mosques all over the city. Most of these mosques are very old. These are very beautiful and have a historical value. The seven mosques (it was built in 17th century). Baitul Mukarram Mosque (The national mosque of Bangladesh). Star Mosque (it was built about 200 years ago). Chawk Bazar Mosque and Husaein Dalan Mosque. The National Memorial at Savar, Dhaka is a symbol of the nation's respect for the martyr's of the war of liberation. It is built with concrete, but made of blood. Its stands 150 feet tall, but every martyr it stands for stands so much taller. A national competition was held for the design of the project in June 1978. About 57 design was submitted, from those Syed Mainul Hossain's design was chosen. Image Source: visitbangladesh.gov.bd Monument complex is spread over an area of 34 hectares (84 acres) wrapped around by a green belt of 10 hectares (24.7 acre). The main monument is composed of seven isosceles triangular planes each varying in size in its height and base. The highest one has the smallest base while the broadest base has the lowest height. The main tower of the monument is 150 feet. This unique arrangement of the planes has created a structure that seems to change its configuration when viewed from different angles. The main monument built was by concrete and all the other structures and pavement of the complex are made of red bricks. There is a lake, and several mass graves in front of the main monument. From the main gate one can see the monument axially, but to reach there one has to walk through different levels of red pavements and cross a lake – all these representing the struggle for independence.

বিজয় কেতন জাদুঘর বাংলাদেশের ঢাকা ক্যান্টনমেণ্টে অবস্থিত যা মুক্তিযুদ্ধ, মুক্তিযোদ্ধা এবং বীরত্বসূচক খেতাবপ্রাপ্তদের স্মরণে নির্মিত। ২০০০ সালের ২১ নভেম্বর প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা জাদুঘরটি উদ্বোধন করেন। সংগ্রহ: বিজয় কেতন জাদুঘরের মূলমন্ত্র হচ্ছে অতীতকে শ্রদ্ধা কর, ভবিষ্যতকে আলোকিত কর। এ জাদুঘরের ছয়টি গ্যালারিতে মুক্তিযুদ্ধে ব্যবহৃত বাংলাদেশের সামরিক যোদ্ধাদের নানা কীর্তি, স্মৃতিস্মারক, সেক্টর কমান্ডারদের আলোকচিত্র ও পরিচিতি, মুক্তিযোদ্ধাদের ব্যবহৃত রাইফেল, কামান, বীরশ্রেষ্ঠ হামিদুর রহমানের বহনের কফিন ইত্যাদি প্রদর্শন করা হয়। জাদুঘরের সামনে সাতজন বীরশ্রেষ্ঠের ভাস্কর্য ও সংগ্রাম থেকে স্বাধীনতা নামে দীর্ঘ মুরাল বা দেয়াল চিত্র আছে। এই জাদুঘরটির প্রদর্শনীয় সামগ্রীর মধ্যে রয়েছে বাংলাদেশের ঐতিহাসিক পটভূমি, আগরতলা ষড়যন্ত্র মামলায় আটক বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানের বন্দিশালা। এগুলির নামকরণ হয়েছে ‘হল অফ ফেম’। তাছাড়া এখানে প্রদর্শিত হচ্ছে বাংলাদেশের সংবিধানের মূলকপি, জাতীয় পতাকা, বাংলাদেশের মানচিত্র এবং ধাতুপাতে খোদাইকৃত জাতীয় সঙ্গীত। জাদুঘরের মূল ফটকে স্থাপিত হয়েছে সাত জন মুক্তিযোদ্ধার একটি সম্মিলিত ভাস্কর্য। এদের একজন হলেন বাংলাদেশের পতাকাবাহী এক নারী। এই বিশেষ ভাস্কর্যটিকে বিজয় কেতন বলা হয়। পরিদর্শন এর সময়: বুধবার ব্যতীত বৃহস্পতি থেকে মঙ্গলবার বিকাল ৩টা থেকে রাত ৮টা পর্যন্ত, শনিবার ১০টা থেকে দুপুর ১২টা এবং বিকাল ৩টা থেকে রাত ৮টা পর্যন্ত বিজয় কেতন মুক্তিযুদ্ধ জাদুঘর খোলা থাকে।

This is a museum complex featuring a milestine event of the Struggle for Independence of Bangladesh- the infamous 'Agartala Trial' against the Banganandhu Shekh Mujibur Rahman and the close associates. During the trial Bangabandhu was atrested and imprisoned here inside Dhaka Cantonment. In remembrance of that this place was coverted into a museum. Many important artifacts related to Agartala Trial as well as Independance War and Bangabandhu Shekh Mujibur Rahman are displayed here. The beautiful sculpture outside was made by Famous sculptor Hamidur Rahman. There are some replica of ancient astronomical instruments displayed here. The whole complex is run by army and entry is restricted for civilians.

Great place to represent the Liberation war of Bangladesh. It has a great collection of weapons that was used in the Liberation war in 1971. Again this place represent the 'Agartala Case' very beautifully. The trial room that was used for tha father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, here is a demo version of that room. The number of chair and position, location of judge all are depicted perfectly as it was in 1969.

Amazing place to learn about Liberation war 1971. I saw the coffin of Bir.S Hamidur Rahman, many weapon used in 1971, the replica of the court of agartala case 1965 and many many other things... there's multimedia hall, library etc too. But keep in mind in most of the case you would need cantonment pass or army reference to enter any museum in cantonment and even in the cantonment.

This is a museum located in Dhaka cantonment near CMH hospital where history of our Liberation war of 1971 are displayed for the next generation. It is a good place to take children to make them educate them with our history. It is a very neat and clean and green place to visit and open for all.

Place where our 71 war history are displayed for the next generation. We should go there with our child to familar them with our history. It is very neat and clean,open for all.

The museum barely have anything for the viewers to see. But there are some historical things and items that were used during the liberation war.
