PVG Terminal 2 is a great airport to arrive and depart Shanghai for business or pleasure, Internationally or domestic. The airport is one of the busiest in China, but it never feels crowded due to its size and open design. The roof design is quite cool. Service is world class at Terminal 2 on all fronts and it continues to improve all the time. I recently read that the annual capacity could handle up to 70 million people, which makes Terminal 2 even more impressive. You can get to PVG via a number of different transport options these days like the super speedy Maglev train (try it at least once) which makes it all the more interesting.

Enjoyed a proper dinner at Terminal 2 VIP lounge 69. They offer a wide range of choices, including typical Asian dishes such as beef rice and chicken noodles, salads, sandwiches and various snacks. If you prefer a freshly cooked meal, you can order from the counter, a bowl of noodle or wonton will be ready within 5-7 minutes. The only drawback about the lounge is you won't hear the boarding announcement there so you have to keep an eye on the screen or set an alarm to remind yourself. Other than that, it is a perfect place for a quick bite or a proper meal break.

The baggage check-in process is fast and efficient. If you are at Terminal 2, I've checked with 2 security guards, and they advised me to have my meal before going through customs. There is a small food court near door 29, level 1 (arrival hall level). Food options include KFC, local dumplings, beef noodles, and rice dishes. Do note that everything closes at 11pm, including duty-free in the departure lounge.

One of the busiest airport in China. Owing to wide space, it doesn't appears to be crowded. Nice restaurants, very beautiful shop and wonderful amenities for travellers. The immigration clearance and security check were quick and comfortable. Maintenance is excellent. Air-conditioned with plenty of natural light.

Worst airport of such scale, hectic and unnecessary luggage scans at every entry to the building, intl flight check in starts 2 hours in advance only, waste of time, airport also looks dim and uncomfortable. Also, flights from/to this airport are always delayed due to bad traffic control

I can't blame the airport for staying in a queue 45 min. for 28-30 people. This was the Turkish Airlines fault. But, for cleaning which is less then all the cities in China to the lack of correct options for food and resting prior departure can't give more than 2 stars.

Terrible experience. Almost two hours in line to checkin for a flight to São Paulo. You should start telling your customers the time they will take to complete this task. Disrespectful.

Классный, современный аэропорт с самым плохим бизнес залом. И с прекрасным видом на самолеты за которыми сразу видны корабли, плывущие по морю. А во время пандемии было как на фото

The airport is very nice indeed. To me, the lighting arrangement of this airport is not GREEN. The airport should be even more bigger considering the amount of traffic it handles.

It is one of the busiest airports in China, but it spacious enough and it does not feel crowded. There is a decent choice of cafés, restaurants, and shops.
