I must have checked-in to a different hotel from the people who left the 4* reviews! I am at the hotel now - it is tired, rundown and in need of modernization! The rooms are remarkably small and the staff are about as friendly as a highway cop giving you a speeding ticket! Went to the lounge bar in the lobby - got the 3rd degree about if I had lodged a credit card for the guarantee... This hotel looks (and the staff act) like it’s in financial trouble ! I would rate this hotel 3 stars at best ! Look for somewhere else to stay - don’t believe the hotel’s description of itself .... its wildly inaccurate !

We stayed here in early May. Herbert the dining manager was very hospitable!! He provided us with a map of the area and pointed out different interests in Chengdu. He made sure the good was acceptable to fit our vegetarian diets and top quality!! We were so comfortable we aImost felt like locals. Dylan at the front desk was also very accommodating. I can’t wait to visit Sofitel in Chengdu again!

Lovely hotel room. When we chose to pay for the breakfast up-front we were given an upgraded room, which also gave up access to the executive lounge. As with many hotels in China, the hardware is great but the staff softskills are lacking. At breakfast our hot drinks were delivered with no stirring spoon and the supposedly hot breakfast was Luke warm. The freshly cooked eggs however, were delicious. Front desk were friendly and helpful.

Hotel molto comodo bello e ben tenuto, camere davvero spaziose, la colazione fantastica c'è di tutto. Molto comoda e piacevole ai piani alti due stupende piscine che noi abbiamo usato la sera per rilassarci.

Great hotel, breakfast was lovely I had best Dan Dan noodles there in Chengdu. Although not much around the hotel but the walkway along the river park opposite hotel was surprisely pleasant. Subway was around 8min walk on very busy road.

不知是否因節省能源或金錢問題，在冬季的時候，只有暖氣供應，完全沒有冷氣系統，使房間像個沒有空氣流通的焗爐內。其他設備都是一般正常4星酒店級數，裝潢比較舊，清潔度一般，房鏡子特別多。 唯一優勢就是地點理想，面向河景，視覺非常開揚，步行10分鐘內可到1號線錦江地鐵站，步行15分鐘可到新南門車站(公車站)，可坐車往峨嵋山較遠等景點，步行約20分可到春熙路步行街，晚餐夜宵吃到零晨1點到不是問題。

Zimmer geräumig und sauber. Frühstück, große Auswahl und sehr schmackhaft. Swimmingpool ist in Ordnung. Wifi Katastrophe und Personal ist nicht wirklich der englischen Sprache mächtig.

Has very good service. Staff can speak good english. The breakfast was one of the better once i had during my stay. The coffee was also great. With mutilple type and not just black.

Nice hotel, comfortable rooms, good whirlpool and swimming pool. Tiny gym, poor WiFi and only receptionists speak some English.
