Jiao Kou Metro Station is the last station to reach Foshan. Outside Jiao Kou Metro Station on the first floor, there are many shops for food and beverage. If you reach Jiao Kou Metro Station and have no idea to get some food and beverage, it is not too bad to give a try. At night, there are many street food along the street. Next to Jiao Kou Metro Station, there is a bus station. My friend's house is opposite to the station. I am able to get on some buses to enjoy the view and go to the city in Guangzhou. Further to the bus station, you can walk about 15 minutes, you will see some streets on the left hand side, you may explore to see local lifestyle and might see some local supermarkets and local restaurants. The vendors don't speak English. Some of them are nice to try to help you. The cost of living is not as higj as in Guangzhou. There are some tourist spots in Foshan but the info is not much. PS. Travelling from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (the new airport) to Jiao Kou Metro Station needs to transit about 3 Lines. It is not hard to travel by metro in case that you know how to use Baidu Map (Google Map is blocked in China if you have to VPN). The traffic is not that friendly in the rush hour so taxi might not be the best choice. It is the best to go back to the airport by metro and it should not be more than 1 hout for sure.
