My husband and I own a brownstone and while out of the country one of our tenants informed us of a bathtub leak. We wanted to find someone reputable who could take care of it right away and contacted this company based on its great Google reviews. I messaged directly on the website and also via WhatsApp. I explained our situation, making it clear that we are in Africa with very spotty wifi and limited calling abilities and asked if they would be able to assess the leak. The woman quickly responded that I need to call, and when I again explained that I do not have calling capabilities due to lack of data and reliable wifi, she said they only work with people who are in the country. If this is a policy of theirs to prevent scammers or being ripped off, then that’s fine, we were happy to find someone else. But moments after, she accused us of being someone named ‘Dre’ and ‘trying to do something that they shouldn’t be doing’. Highly unprofessional in my mind, and a red flag for anyone looking for a professional and reliable plumber in Brooklyn. Just to clarify, this is not ‘Dre’ just someone who was trying to take care of a tenant’s leaky bathtub while on our honeymoon.

It was early Sunday morning when I got the notice that the hot water stopped working in our garden rental apartment. Just returned from overseas to my 1st snowstorm in years that hit the Brooklyn area hard. Then my basement toilet started to back up as the snow piled up. I called the service that we pay for monthly – the earliest they could arrive was Tuesday morning. IT’s currently, Saturday night and this will not do. I am in the middle of the plumbing crisis; however, I had to write this review for Candace from 24 Hour Emergency Plumbing. First, my basement flooded after Ida and my sump pump been running since the storm and my water cut off valve couldn't prevent the flooding in my basement. There are only three names you need to know for outstanding Plumbing: 24 Hour Plumbing, Candace and Brian. Hurricane Ida hits on a holiday weekend and most of New York is underwater and my business that is responsible for two hundred people is flooding. I call my plumber and explain that my business is in very bad shape and I need help right away. Their reply to me was that they can’t do anything for me and no one else was replying to me. I am pleased to echo the comments below and to praise the remarkably quick and courteous service provided by the team from 24-Hour Emergency Plumbing. When my basement flooded and my two water heaters (including one for my tenants) were knocked out, I was so lucky to get 24-Hour Emergency as the first number I called. On a very busy night of mass flooding, their response was immediate they were on the scene within hours. Robert expertly got one of the heaters going straightaway; the other one was still wet and he came back after one full day and got it going. Throughout all this time, Candace was constantly available, courteously and very efficiently handling the scheduling -- and continuously following up. Yesterday’s blizzard brought some excitement! Someone in our apartment building clogged a guest toilet upstairs (not with just tp, it was nasty) and despite calling our landlord all night, he just turned his phone off. Raw sewage was leaking through our ceiling during a blizzard. We called this business and after calling several different techs, the person we spoke on the phone with, Candace, came out and fixed the problem herself. She was excellent. Super quick, knew exactly what she was doing, and found several problems which would have prevented us from being able to stop the leak ourselves (broking and missing valves). Candace is a hero. On May 30 Memorial Weekend I called your company needing an emergency sewer main backup cleaning, basement toilet overflowing with waste/water flooding floor! Spoke to Candace told her the urgency of the problem and she dispatched a team to respond after they finished another call. Techs arrived in less than 2hrs assessed the problem and cleared out the clog quickly and made sure drain was flowing properly. I arrived home from a trip to find my entire basement covered in water. My water heater busted and it was 10:00 pm. I called popular name companies that said they couldn't help me because they do not fix water heater. The staff was professional from the initial phone call with Candace assisting with questions and scheduling our appointment to address concerns about the wiring to our boiler and the burning smell from the radiator when the heat was on. Candace and her team are amazing and they mean 24 hours! Came over at 5am for emergency call (burst pipe) and had it under control within minutes, pumped out flooded basement and identified and replaced ancient and problematic pipes by midday restoring water to the house. Followed up with us to make sure we survived the dry out and also helped us trouble shoot other problems we were having — gave their card to everyone I know with an older (or newer) house and will always call them first. Professional, responsive, efficient and so kind and reassuring in an emergency.

Following big and sudden rain pour, I experienced rain water back flowing out of the trap and into the basement. Considering it an emergency, I called a few emergency drainage companies for help. While other companies were not responding or had availability in one to two days, Candace was immediately respinsive, picking up the phone right away, and telling me she would be there within two hours. 24Hr EPR was the only service who not just answered my at 2:30 am, but also helped right away. Candice spent an hour on the phone with me, walking me through steps to stop water leak. They also gave me the earliest service appointment in the morning (to compare, the other service who picked up had only noon availability and mean time were going to leave me with water gushing and overflowing bathroom). Robert arrived promptly, diagnosed and fixed the problem. I am immensely grateful!

Definitely recommend 24hr emergency plumbing, my tent didn’t have heat for about 4 days and they were quick and responsive to answer my call and send a plumber that day and figure out what the issue was. Robert was great he was able to figure out what the situation was 2 parts that needed to be replaced, even though they were fully booked the following day they where able to squeeze us in for an early appointment and get the parts replaced. Finally the heat was back and running!

24 Hour Emergency Repair lived up to their name. Answered the phone at midnight on a Saturday night (Sunday morning) and came quickly to help diagnose a leak from a hot water heater and pump out the flooded area. They came back on Sunday and installed a new water heater. They were extremely communicative through the process with frequent updates on arrival, issue, options, and pricing (which seemed very reasonable especially given the overnight weekend work.) I had water backing up into my shower and toilet. Called and spoke to Candace at approximately 10pm. By 11pm Robert and his assistant were at my house fixing the problem.
