This local store needs some work. They run out of items quickly and are always rearranging the store, as if that would make it more accessible. Customer Service sucks. I've witnessed a female store manager talk negatively about people and then had the audacity to interrupt the cashier ringing up my purchases to show the cashier box pictures of her kids. The Manager didn't even bother with assisting her coworker by bagging my groceries. After I packed my groceries, in the car, I decided ti go back and address the Manager with my complaints. She told me that she shared the pics because the cashier wasn't busy? SURE SHE WAS CASHING ME OUT! The Manager went on to say that she would've bagged my groceries if I had asked for help? Since when do customers have to ask for bagging service? Last, when I told the Manager that I found her behavior unprofessional and leadership questional, she said "Oh well." Their parking spaces are minimal, although more parking spaces are available throughout the mini mall. Heads up, as there are men lolling - most looking for work, others are just drunks.

GROSS, DIRTY, SMELLS TERRIBLE! I WILL NEVER SHOP AT THIS LOCATION AGAIN! Approaching the store I saw a derelict heaving and throwing up in the trash right in front of the entrance, so I should have known just to leave then. The front of the store is littered with transients and coughing drug addicts. I grabbed a cart and it was so disgusting that I had to get wipes from my car and painstainkly scrub for several minutes before shopping. Walking around the store the floor is dirty and old throughout, it smells musty and unclean, and many of the other customers were obviously on hardcore drugs making the environment even more uncomfortable. It does have a wider selection of products than other dollar stores but this seems moot as you expose yourself to filth, sickness, possibly catching a disease, and crazed customers on meth. Upon asking the cashier why the store smelled so bad, she remarked, "Well, it's a dollar store." THIS STORE SHOULD BE CONDEMNED AND SHUT DOWN! DON'T SHOP HERE!

Okay first of all this place has great deals. I stopped by a couple times a week. Here's why they don't get five stars... First off anything that's not 99 cents needs a sticker on it saying so because rarely are the tags for products that More than 99 cents directly with the products. It just makes it confusing and you get up to the front and you have to put items back if you don't want to spend a surprising $5 on something that you thought was a dollar. The reason why they're losing the other star is that they have a sign in front of the restroom hall that says restrooms are out of order. This is a lie. The restroom will for work the employees use them all day. I understand if you don't want to have a restroom for customers but you can put up a sign that is at least honest and doesn't involve lying to your customers. Pretty basic moral values that are lacking. If you're going to lie to me about something like that what else are you going to lie to me about?

Not everything in the store is $.99 anymore. A few years ago, everything in the store was only $.99 each. Hence the name. I have seen items go as high as $9.99 so buyer be aware. The rule in the store is, if it does not have a price tag on it, then it should be .99 cents. Other wise they will have a blue and white price sticker on it. The price sticker could be on either side of packaging and is about the size of a nickel and is blue and white. With that being said, there are still a lot of good deals to find in these stores. I have gotten deodorants that sell for $8.00 retail for only $.99 and full size Degornio pizzas for $.99 and a ton of other good deals, so definitely worth shopping at. I just wish they would change the name of the business now that the items in the store are not ,99 cents only. Kinda like false advertisement or click bait

so I went here about a week ago to get a couple of items...and since the last time I shopped at a 99 cents store ONLY I was irritated that it was NOT 99 cents only and wondering why my bill was more than I counted. the cashier said because one rug I got was 1.99. I explained I was not good with the change and they should change the name since it NO LONGER 99 cents only. It wasn't the lil dollar I was complaining about...it was the TONE of her response. As if I should know this. So i asked for a manager...and his response was similar 'take it up with corporate'. So I asked him 'how do you get paid'...he reluctingly responded 'from our customers'. I said 'exactly'...because without satisfied customers, you are out of a job.' And I left...won't be coming back to THIS 99 cents NOT only store.

  • Eric Pinson

I do not know the cashier's name because she did not have a name tag on. However, she did not say hi or actually say anything until this our total. During the time she was not looking at us or talking to us, a gentleman named Juan, who seem to be an assistant manager of sorts was talking to her Spanish and English back and forth the entire time. The only thing we understood was the English and it had nothing to do with us. After we paid and did not ask us if we wanted to receive, she did not give us a receipt, he asked for a receipt then she said something in Spanish with a confused look on her face and realized that her printer had no receipt paper. This is kindest version of this experience that I can give. One Step Up from that would be simply no customer service whatsoever!

  • Laura Rivard

I went in there with only $10.00 to spend. Thinking I'd be walking out with 9 possibly 10 items. Walked out with like 4 items. What I don't understand is how come it's called .99 store, when EVERYTHING, YES EVEN A CANDY, isn't ever .99. It SHOULD be called everything OVER .99 cent NOT .99 ONLY. WHO CAN SAY FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. But it was, just a little cheaper than the regular store. Here I'm talking about Fry's, Wal-Mart those kind of stores. Only reason I went in there, was it was on my way home from getting my nails done and treating my daughter. For her upcoming birthday. And what gets me, is had I gone a little ways down the road, there was a store, can't think of the name at the moment, but NOTHING is over .99 cents.

UNBELIEVABLE, THIS PLACE IS NOT AN ONLY 99 CENT ONLY STORE!! ONLY A HAND FULL OF ITEMS ARE ONLY 99 CENTS! THE REST OF THE ITEMS ARE MORE, PRICES AS HIGH AS ALMOST $20.00!!! COME ON GUYS REALLY?¿?¿? YOU KNOW THE LEGALITY OF THIS SOON COMING!! DO NOT SHOP HERE!!! PROTEST......⚠️⚠️⚠️! THE OWNER OR OWNERS SHOULD BE ASHAMED!!! I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO THE HOMELESS!!!! RESPONSE TO THE OWNER; YOU ARE WRONG MY FRIEND, YOUR SIGN DOES REFLECT YOUR PRICES, WHEN SOMEONE SEES YOUR SIGN THEY IMMEDIATELY THINK ONE THING, EVERYTHING IN YOUR STORE IS ONLY 99 CENTS NOT $14.99 OR $12.99 BUT ONLY$.99, ONLY ONE DOLLAR SO THE STATE OF ARIZONA AND THE BUSINESS/LICENSING CAN REFLECT ON THIS!

  • Ryan Perry

A couple of weekends ago, I decided to kill time and peruse my fave store. Unfortunately shortly after I made my way to the seasonal isle, a woman started following me around the store screaming. When I realized she was screaming at me she said that my backpack was not allowed in the store. I can either leave my bag with her (haha) or leave! I chose to leave. And never return. I am NOT a thief not do I appreciate being SCREAMED at in front of your customers (also walking around with bags) that I can't have mine in the store! Are you kidding me!? Screw that!

  • Rocio G

I am so Angry. first, i had exactly 25$ to spend, i bought stuff that costed me 20$ and a couple cents. The lady with black hair to her shoulders, did not give me my change. After the person behind me went (because i didn't want to be rude) I told her that she forgot my change. She denied it, and told me that she did. (i had no money left in my bag) I kept trying to show her my bag and the receipt, but she kept denying it, So i eventually left. This makes me more mad because i don't have a job and need to spend carfully right now.

  • Katie Duran

Very wide selection of items for a dollar only bad thing is they have a whole bunch of registers but usually only one register open when they have a long line of people waiting to be rung up and then you see a bunch of workers in various different aisles stocking the shelves instead of coming up to the register to open so there's not a long line waiting customer service is definitely not on employees Minds!! If you need help finding anything don't ask the stockers because a lot of them don't speak English!

  • Danielle

Great deals! One thing I completely hate is that they have a ton of items usually $1.99-$10.99! I thought it was called a "99 cent ONLY store" for a reason? They need to change their name to 99+ then, or deny items that they want to charge more for. I previously worked here, the managers are usually not the smartest. They have gone through quite a few managers who are rude, not helpful, and honestly should not be managers. Other than that, the store is relatively clean, they carry decent products.

  • Joseph Hughes

Has a good selection of things 99¢ stores carry, reading glasses, batteries, some automotive selections, pet supplies, cleaning products, laundry detergent, all kinds of detergents, dish, dishwasher detergents, and some food items I don't buy my produce there and the milk cost more then some grocery stores, not 99¢ $2 plus. It's a clean store & they carry things for kids costumes (seasonal) Things for birthday parties, and they have make-up ACC., & Things for school, pencils, paper, and etc...

  • Amanada Hogencamp

I have been coming to .99 cent store for years. Over the years I seen good and bad here. I got a chance to see your deli WOW I have never seen it so full. I met a fellow by the name of taylor. I assume a manager by the professional look, as well customer service. I asked him why he chose here. He said he wants to run his own store some day. His insight was over the top. This is what .99 cent needs workers willing to work for less. To see a future in the end. Thank you Taylor. Amanada.

  • TRACY JAMES (Miss James)

your basic 99 Cent Only franchise .... these stores were always a favorite for the sheer variety they contain. Then, they decided that they should also sell items for more than .99. But to my surprise, I now like these stores even more! Whike they still mostly carry items at the original price, some of the higher priced stuff is a great deal. Today I got a big bottle of Downey concentrate for only 3.99, saved me alot over the grocery store price! Win!

  • Stacie B

I was having a good experience at this 99 cent location. 9/12/14 Until I walked up to check out. When I approached the check out line I tripped over a tile that was not glued down. I stubbed my bad toe. When I asked the cashier to ask for a manger, she replied " We don't have one here right now." She was rude and did not care there was a tile that I tripped over. Where is any customer service? Or Manger? It did hurt my toe. (just saying)

  • Chad Watson

This might be my favorite store in the history of ever. The customers that come here are as diverse as the range of products, which is awesome. To me a shopping experience is partly what you are shopping for and partly people watching and this is the place! It's all good, no bad vibes, the store is clean and well organized, which is tough to do with a place that has so many things.

  • Christopher Amerson

The 99 cent store is very good fern quantity the qualities okay I always get what I want these are starting to sell stuff like shower curtains drapes this type of thing for 799 1099 so it's not just a dollar store anymore they have quite a bit of stuff I recommend it to anybody and everybody very satisfied with the dollar store I read and I know the tune I I read it 9 out of 10

  • Shrtdrgon Fly

Good selection of items. Lines generally are long and most the time they only have one or 2 registers open. Today they had 2 lines open and a third for part of it even though all lines were down the isles. Staff often doesn't seem to know what they carry let alone where some of the items that are regular items are located in the store. Most the staff however are friendly.

  • Samantha

You can expect everything to be 99cents except for a few items with a yellow price tag from $2.99 to $4.99. Great selection of groceries and household items. I regulary buy salad packs, sandwich bags, bleach, and dog food for 99cents each. Just be VERY careful when buying the food there though as many will quickly expire or already are expired and can be rotten or stale.

  • kristin roney

Lines are ridiculously long. Only 2 lanes open. Manager on shift really should get up on a register and help their cashiers out. I go in there to buy 3 items and i end up having to wait 15 min just to pay. They should have a line for 10 items or less. And 1$ sour cream is never a gud deal. Plz just take it off your shelves. I like a good deal. But no... Just no.

  • Jamie Horn

This store is gross. Management is corrupted. Juan, Phil, Arturo store manager. Really lied about employees. Rafi your employee is one of the worst. Do you drug test. Your managers , And employees seem intoxicated. And really what's going on with the Ear rings in your store managers ears. The 80s called they want there fake plastic Bling back.

  • Holly

It was 9:00 on the dot. The store just announced that they were closed. As I was walking up to leave because they didn't have what I needed, a store employee walks up to me and asks me to go. I said yeah that's what I'm doing. Like I know its closing time and you want to go home. I was leaving anyways but I just found it to be rude.

  • kate shea

When you first walk in your greeted by an awful smell. Although named 99 cent only, not all products are 99 cents. Cashiers are polite, but numerically challenged. Better to use a card than cash at this location, as I have witnessed on more than 1 occasion. Double check doors are locked at this parking lot.

  • luv life

DO NOT EVEN COME HERE UNLESS PAYING Absurd asinine completely completely out of this world beyond beyond inappropriate prices Absurd asinine!!! YOU MEAN INSAINLY PRICED NOTHING IS ONLY .99 CENTS IN THE ENTIRE STORE NOTHING IS .... Everything is JACKED UP PRICES FOR SAME OL STUFF THEY USED TO CHARGE 99 FOR

  • mark s

Almost everything is 99¢, large selection, if moneys tight or you want to spend a little on many items from doggie training pads to cups to you name it, good place, big store, easy parking. Lock your car, not enough cashiers, and of course 99¢ is not always the highest quality, but hey, 99¢.

  • Esther Martinez

I like the store, but something I didn't like was that the cashiers where talking about a homeless guy and one employee was following him around the store and she took his backpack away and left it at the entrance I get it they want to prevent shoplifting but they could be more discretion

  • Dana Wengeler

Good variety of different kinds of food. Cashier was very friendly and helpful. Bad experience was with the shopping cart. You aren't able to push the cart out to the parking lot. I had $70 worth of items and disabled. Please make it where the shopping carts can go to the parking lot.

  • Arlina Rechlin

Not a fan of the 1 newspaper per person rule when other 99 cent stores limited to about 3 or 4. The shopping center its in is shady and needs to be cleaned up. People begging for money and shooting up there. While the store is nice itself it needs to keep the shady people away

  • Monda Jackson

Love the location and the items for sale and they have almost everything and the prices I love the most especially since I'm broke. This is the best store ever made. Thanks 99cents owner for the thought and helping low income families and individuals such as myself. God Bless

  • mary sykes

This cashier is a older African American she took me for double on my Five dollar purchase. The transaction on the card insert showed that my card, took care of it then she touch her register key.And then it showed card declined. So I had to pay double thank God I had it.

  • Natalie Rayes

These guys here at 99c and the manger is so bad i just download the app and active the coupon and they said we cant use it .. that was so bad he said i use it before and i didnt .. if he is the manger he can just do it and he saw the coupon .. that was so stupid ..

  • Mel Jordan Iii

This location, is nicely located at E Bell Rd & CAVE Creek. 99 Cents now sales a variety of soap that I like. Here, you'll find dry goods, food & fresh vegetables. Whether you are on a budget or just like saving money, 99 Cents stores is the place to find a deal.

  • Brenda

Well stocked shelves! Clean! Name brands. Large selection. Friendly staff. I hadn't been to 99 Cents in a long time because it's not geographically convenient, but I'll plan better in the future. Check out was quick, even at 4:00 on a Friday afternoon!

  • Rebecca Erickson

You never know what you will find in this place. They have some groceries, a decent amount of cheap fresh fruit and vegetables. They also have cheap decor items. There is a little of everything in this store and they are very reasonably priced.

  • Jamillah Brown

I can always find something reasonably priced vs going to the major grocery store chains. I've bought framed pictures, fresh vegetables, and dried goods. The staff is always friendly and professional not matter how busy it is. I go here often.

  • Rhett Lawmaster

This is a large location with tons of inventory! The staff was very friendly and put a smile on my face. I highly recommend this location for anyone needing some reasonably priced goods. From hardware to grocery items, this store has it all!

  • Nadene Carroll

It's in a rough area. When I was checking out the lines were extremely long. They had two registers open out of 8. The lines run back in to the aisles. This is not a place where you can run in and out. However, the staff are always helpful.

  • Az Freedom

They've got just about everything here (always out of shower curtain rings it seems). They carry packaged food, some frozen, dairy and a bit of produce. This store is yet the cleanest and nicest of the 99 cents Only Stores I've been to.

  • Karl Kunz

Always friendly and willing to help you find or get what you need . Store is clean and well stocked and staffed. I have never had to wait in line long at all if they have long lines they open up another register and out you go …

  • Joanna Kelly Lyons

This is my go to store and I absolutely love it. The employees are always friendly and very helpful when I need to find a items. They also have great children's toys and in my budget. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

  • Lisa Pearson

It is no longer ONLY 99 cents. Everything is obviously cheap, you get what you pay for. Employees are not very friendly. But if you need something inexpensive, it works. I mean, it IS a dollar store. It works for what it is.

  • J. Michael Rogers

UNBELIEVABLE, THIS PLACE IS NOT AN ONLY 99 CENT ONLY STORE!! ONLY A HAND FULL OF ITEMS ARE ONLY 99 CENTS! THE REST OF THE ITEMS ARE MORE, PRICES AS HIGH AS ALMOST $20.00!!! THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A ONLY 99 CENT STORE!!!

  • anthony ciro

LOL, it's a $.99 cents store, it's cheap, that's the point. Nice to be able to purchase a lot of stuff for $20 you might spend double of more for elsewhere. Yes, may be lower quality depending but still, $.99 cents!

  • Rustam Binpeih

I love 99 cents store. Like Ariana Grande said "I see it, I like it, I want it, I got it. And this store may help you to not spend too much money cuz their prices are affordable. Make you smile and happy

  • nancy szura

Big selection and the inventory changes frequently. Lots of good deals here. The only problem here is the lines are always very long at the checkout. Party supplies, food, kitchenware, household items, lots of stuff

  • Deb C

Prices up , no longer .99 but 1.29, for all products. Get good deals here. Produce, dairy products look good. Easter deco out, bought fake flowers, 1.29 a pic, 7 pics made a nice bouquet for my mother's gravesite.

  • Mis Meg

Could have friendlier cashiers and staff dont always know how to help throughout the store. They seem bothered to help customers. Like to go and see what random products I can find. Lots of name brand items I like

  • Judy Ayers

Love the 99 cent stores. Produce is so much cheaper than grocery stores. Then I sometimes see items that I am curious about and don't feel bad if I only pay 99 cents for it and don't like it and throw it away.

  • Briann Lippold

I love this particular store. The people that work there are great & very customer oriented. I tend to buy the majority of my produce there as well as all of my bread and assorted other things. :)

  • Yesenia Merin

They always have empty shelves make sure u see the price some stuff if Moore then the grocery like chips bags the big ones and other s store have cleaning stuff they don't have much and good ones.

  • Kristen Edgar

What can I say? I love this place! You can decorate your house with cute little items, host a party, or just grab some quick last minute supplies for cleaning your house or sprucing up you car.

  • Guy Chilelli

Filthy store, horrible shopping center. Of course it's not the other employees fault, but dang have enough people working...that God there is another store within 5 miles, I ll go there

  • Carrie D

Better selection than other 99 cent only stores nearby.. alot of weird folks in there though but weird is relative so.. always something interesting and different or one of a kind find

  • steven spicer

I called to inquire about Christmas lights! An I have to tell ya something!! Crystal was the one that answered the phone an it was amazing customer service! Wow very impressed!!

  • Gerald Cody

Vegetables and fruit well priced and not old and dated. Cashiers very pleasant and efficient . Security personnel friendly and helpful. Cashiers move people through quickly.

  • Gracie B

This place is no longer 99cents anything anymore. But still convenient and can have some pretty cool things available randomly ( amazing dog beds, organic healthy food.

  • Chelle F

Fun place to walk around. Love the mini garden section. I'm here 2to3 days a week to get my retail therapy fix. Cashiers are friendly to a point, never seen a manager.

  • Debbie Barnes

People in the parking lot that looks sketchy I felt scared getting out of my car man was trying to ask you for money and I just kept walking Star wars not very clean

  • Brenda K Heise

They usually have the types of items that I go shopping for, but sometimes they run out on their shells because their trucks have not come in quick enough.

  • Laura Weis

They really have some nice items worth shopping for. Some areas looked low on supply but got what I was looking for so got that and a few other things. :D

  • John Easter

Lots of empty shelves. Merchandise needs straightening and facing. Some merchandise on the floor in one aisle due to overstock of the item.

  • Nabil Bahnoo

Organized, you may find most of daily needs for your family except produce, sometimes I find good quality and don't hesitate to buy some.

  • Cathleen Clifford (Moonbeam)

Always a pleasure esp the new loss prevention guy Dave nice guy. You can tell someone has taken measures on shoplifting. Way to go dave

  • Jenny Harris

Easy to get into and out of friendly staff clean store. Had everything I was looking for at a great price. Would definitely recommend

  • Pamela

Lots homeless around door. Very dirty entrance to store. Many day illegal workers in the parking lot all day. Safety issues.

  • AC Speight

Should be called 99 cent plus. Seems they are moving away from 99 cent items and shopping carts that leave the store.

  • J. B.

1.25 now and most products have already been smaller packaged , there's really nothing worth buying there anymore

  • Stacy Kulas

While this is not the cleanest store I've ever been in, I enjoy going once in a while just to see what they have.

  • Sandt Oconnell

My favorite place to shop. Great deals. I do all my shopping here they have produce and freezer deals

  • Selina

I didn't know that now you have to pay a quarter to use a shopping cart. Nothing there is 99cents.
