Went to the drive through. Checked the bags as we were leaving the parking lot, took a while as we had food for 5 people.. We noticed we were missing chicken tenders. My partner went in to get the nuggets and had to wait in line for 5 minutes, only to be accused of stealing the food. They gave her more, but clearly stated that she "put them in the bag for sure", as she gave them to my partner. I called in to complain and they refused to give any information as to who to get in touch with. I even used the name that was on the receipt and the person on the phone told me they use fake names. I then had to tell them that I came through the drive thru TODAY at least 3 times. The person on the phone said "I will call you back". When they called back they said they were unable to find my order. I asked how come they couldn't find an order from less than 30 minutes ago. She then asked me if I came yesterday, AGAIN. Needless to say, super shady that they won't provide management information. Will never drop a dime here again. Because I have to be honest, the food was pretty good even though it was cooling off a bit. Seriously though people who customer service, the minimum you can do is offer a call back from someone qualified to handle it, not repeatedly telling a person they have to call back again on their own time to deal with something. Customers shouldn't be having to chase people around after initial contact. Oh yeah, you shouldn't accuse people of stealing either.

I lived near to this location & took my 4 year old daughter to it for lunch last may and when I got our burgers she bit into something hard. I pulled open the burgers and basically both looked like the were cooked on a dirty grill. It had bits or hard stuff that didn’t look right, so I approached the staff to inquire the one girl smirked at the other coworker, said something in a different language than turned and looked at me and said it looked OK. Dropped it on the floor. I responded that’s my point exactly. And asked for them to remake it or maybe make us something from the deep fryer up the grill is dirty. They basically told me no and there is nothing I can do if I had a problem I could call the corporate office they refuse to give me a phone number told me to look on Google. We basically spent close to $30 plus the food we had to buy in the store after to eat while we drove home, I was very upset never called corporate because I thought maybe this was a one time thing, but I’m seeing online that other people are having similar experiences. I am very disappointed with this franchise, and I refuse to eat out at any other A&W. They should be careful, especially with competition all up and down an Pembina Highway. Next stop for me has always been Burger King since this incident.

TLDR: Don't eat here if you have food allergies because cross-contamination is king at this location. I watched the staff in the back taking lettuce mixed with sliced tomatoes and use it on my order (none of which was supposed to have tomato), and even though I ordered my burger without onions, I watched as they took a handful of onions to put on another order right before handling my food. No gloves, no handwashing. It's a good thing I'm not allergic. If they openly display cross contamination of veggies, what are they doing where we can't see? You would think that the most expensive fast food burger chain would put at least a little effort into health & safety. They definitely would fail a health inspection

This location is by far the best I've ever been to!! There is a particular staff member I would like to highlight who was there the other night. I think her name was Anna and she mentioned that she was a manager. She is by far one of the friendliest managers in fast food that I have had the pleasure of meeting! She helped me out with such efficiency and positivity and I am absolutely stunned! Her service went above and beyond and she truly deserves a raise! While I was there she was literally RUNNING up front alone to make sure the service was on point while running the drive thru window at the same time! She is the future of this business and I am so glad I got the chance to experience this incredible service. Ps. The food was good too

I had the unfortunate circumstances that put me in front of this location for an afternoon. Crying because I'd been left behind by a rideshare. 2 lovely ladies gave me some money (which happened to be exactly what I just gave my ride for gas) so I asked a woman working at A&W bringing orders out to patrons , could she please call me a cab? She said no. I asked pardon? She then said just one minute and never came back out to confirm a cab was called. I did go in and purchase a meal anyway. Absolutely the worst staff. 3 Indian girls were on counter. Not only did they lie to me about the price of my meal, they made me wait outside in the drive through spot for MORE than 10 minutes. When I walked back in to ask if they've forgotten my meal, one of the staff gave me attitude and said, "you have to wait, it takes 5 minutes to cook you know?" interring cuz I've waited more than 5 in the drive through, and more than 10 in the drive thru parking spot. I’ve been to every A&W and most of the popular breakfast spots in town. This is the best fast-food restaurant to visit, especially for breakfast, for three reasons: the atmosphere (vibrant but peaceful), the staff (friendly and genuine), and the food (tasty, hot and well cooked). They use porcelain plates (warmed up!), and metal cutlery. Your breakfast arrives in two minutes, it’s always HOT, and the coffee is excellent. All in all, a clean, well-maintained and very cheerful place to visit.

Very rude customer service in the drive trough. The lady who served me said she was the night manager, and she doesn’t understand English at all. I repeated three times about the thing I wanted and she couldn’t get it. Later I added on other things and she didn’t give me the thing I want. When I asked for it and she said that I never asked for it in a very rude way, and let me pay for the extra. If u r working as a manager at least you should have a great attitude, I don’t care about your English skills. Customer is the god, and you make people angry. U should be ashamed of yourself.

I went to A n W (instead of my usual Timmies) thinking I would receive better quality and value. I could not have been more wrong! I ordered a couple spicy chicken chipotle wraps. What an absolutely pathetic rip-off!! They were not advertised as bite-size, but believe me, they were EVEN less than that! They should be clearly advertised on the KIDS menu- NOT as a snack wrap! Having visited many A&W restaurants in Alberta, this was my first visit to one in Manitoba. More specifically, the Pembina location in Winnipeg is a wonderful place, very clean and modern looking. Worst experience ever! Ordered 2 teen burger combo with coupon in drive thru. The lady mistakenly gave 1 teen burger and overcharged for another one. When I complained to the manager, she told me there was no voice record and no apologies in the entire conversation. As I finally decided to get the money back, she throw the burger into the trash ban with a very bad attitude and her voice was so rude. Never come back again! It is the worst A&W restaurant I had experienced in whole country. I felt sorry to give 1 star, I should give 0 star!

I use the drive through. They are ridiculously slow, but they always make me pull into the parking spot and wait for me for, even when they're is nobody behind me. They are lying to management about their metrics this way, saying they are quick cause it registers as complete when you pull through. In fact, it's actually much slower as they have to walk out or to you. I get needing to pull up if there are customers behind waiting for finished food, but if not it's just a lie and it's annoying. @management.. they are lying to you.

I went to this restaurant at 2:30 am and it was raining I asked the guy very politely that if I can sit inside and eat... as it was raining outside and dining was closed, I was expecting a simple 'no' but the guy told me I can't and even he can't serve me from drive thru too.... and if he is serving me from drive thru he is going against the company policy....he said he can't serve me from drive thru and dining is also closed but internet is showing open....I waited there for more then 20 mins in rain.... his name is ritesh.

Restaurant floor was filthy, had to try and wipe down a table myself with a dry napkin. Got my order wrong, and then argued with me about what I had ordered, and charged me more for correcting it. Immediately turned to co-worker and had a conversation in a different language, then looked back at me. So unprofessional. Rings were sadly undercooked, as they were rushed out to complete my order. Have rarely been disappointed in A&W, but today's visit was unpleasant, to say the least.

I went to this restaurant and recieved a burger and fries, they where both stale and tasted disgusting. When I drove back I was told "ohh sorry we don't know how to do refunds we're new here" and when I asked to leave a message for the manager regarding my order they refused. Would appreciate management reacing out to me because I've recieved horrible customer service from one of my favorite restaurants.

As chain fast food joints go, sure you can grab a quick breakfast at the ultra popular places, eat in the car and question the choices you've made in life. Or, you can go to a likewise convenient fast food place like this A&W and enjoy some surprisingly good breakfast options. Friendly staff, and a clean establishment with good chow. Most much to complain about. That said, my only gripe about this place is leaving the parking lot to head north pn Pembina isn't overly intuitive.

The staff here was rude and not only gave me a meat burger to a vegetarian, double charged, refused to give a refund and then called 911 and we refused to leave. This staff needs to be fired. I was there today on 11oct at 7pm for a coffee with a friend and the Indian girl at the counter asked my friend ...so 2coffee ? Ordered a mozzarella burger meal with no tomatoes. Received it with tomatoes and no drink. A bacon egger paid for extra bacon and added lettuce with chipotle mayo on it. Didn’t receive the extra bacon and the lettuce was gross and soggy and no chipotle mayo. Ordered sweet potato fries and paid for extra chipotle mayo and didn’t receive any chipotle mayo at all. Fries were disgusting. NEVER ordering from this location ever again. Worst experience ever. Waste of money.

The worst A&W in the whole Winnipeg please stay away from this location, my order was messed up with no lettuce no onions no nothing it was just the burger and the bun where I actually asked to have a regular burger with lettuce and pickles and everything on when I spoke to the workers they said they can’t help me that was my order even though it wasn’t. Quite frankly, I never realized fast food is that pricey!! 3 teen burger meal cost us $41 !!! Also not so fast either!! They told us it'll be a 10 minutes wait after we paid at the drive through!! I can't really rate the food because I didn't eat it! Drive through has no atmosphere. Ser ice was not the greatest since we had to wait& we were the only customers at the drive through around 11 pm!

1 am after the movie night, we came in to grab fries and onion rings. Waited 30 minutes at the drive thru, 5 people inside working and when finally i made it to window, all fries and onion rings given were cold. Nice, clean interior with many comfortable seats. Younger staff up front most likely at it to pay down their university tuitions, but an older guy who I presume to be the manager/owner of this one definitely seems to know how to run a place. Whoever they've got in the kitchen, they consistently put out excellent stuff.

I love the new Beyond Meat burgers. Nice to see they are catering to everyone now. Not everyone eats meat so it's a nice option when you go with friends who all eat meat and you don't. It's harder getting people to go to vegan restaurants, so I feel this is a smart way to bring in the vegan customers

I ordered takeout for my friend and me. She liked the hamburger, but the two orders of onion rings I got for us were salted so heavily they were inedible. We had to throw them out. Three weeks before we ordered onion rings and they were fine. There's no excuse for such over-salting.

Went there Tueaday at 2pm to buy a teen burger. The price said 3.99 on their menu. When I ordered, they said that it was no longer the price and that it was last weeks price. False advertising! They should have taken it down. If it was last week's poster, then they had time to take it down.

This is your orthodox fast food place. Their burgers arent what you would you get at a classy restaurant but do the work regardless. Relatively cheap. I was not a big fan of the fries or onion rings and I dont take root beer. If you enjoy any of those, this would be a great place for you.

Great set up. Friendly staff. Quick service. The fries come in individual metal fry baskets which Is a very nice touch. Plus, for the fries lovers you receive a large order. Our teen burgers were delicious.

I got the best root beer experience at A&W Pembina Highway, Winnipeg. They will give you an "iced" beer mug with a good tasting root beer. It says, pure sugar cane ingredients was on it. Burgers and fries tasted good as well.
