The paint job was so unprofessional that we have had to employ another painter to fix the problems. They spray painted our house leaving overspray on windows and the floor. We asked that they come back and fix it up which they did but they only spent half a day and left much of it incomplete. As a result we are having to clean overspray from all of the windows and the new painter is repainting all the ceilings which are patchy and the casement windows and doors which were not sanded back and where now the paint Is peeling off. Paint drips are in areas where we will have to sand and repaint. We keep finding more places that we will have to fix or get a new painter to do a professional job. We paid ‘A Better Finish’ good money for a professional finish which we did not receive. We had high hopes of this company as they were very friendly and came across as professional but the result is the opposite. Sadly their work practices are shoddy to say the least. Please be very careful about engaging this company. Make sure the owner is checking his contractors carefully and ensuring that they do what he contracted to do.

October 2018 Rob & John prepared all surfaces thoroughly (2 story timber on brick house with steel stairways & railings) removing peeling paint, grinding rust spots, treating steel with rust remover and timber with mould inhibitor and sanding and undercoating (+ sealing gaps to eliminate spider webs) before applying two coat's of Dulux acrylic paint. The house looks new again and I know it has been painted properly by experts (I saw what they did and both Rob & John kept me informed). The previous paintwork lasted 16years - it was also applied properly, so I know this work will stand the test of another 16 years of bleaching Queensland sunshine. Rob suggested some colour changes that would suit the house better and I like the 'new' style. He and John work calmly and quietly (neither smoke or make unnecessary noise) and leave the site tidy at the end of each day. I recommend 'A Better Finish' painting & decorating without hesitation. "A Better Finish", was engaged to undertake an exterior clean and paint of my elderly aunt's high-set timber house at Lota. The house was last painted a couple of decades ago so needed extensive preparation before painting. Rob's quote was competitive and he provided helpful advice on colour selection to my aunt, who wanted "something colourful". Work proceeded to plan and was completed by the agreed date.
