Nurses are overworked and under caring. Doctors seem to be good, when they actually read the charts and communicate...which is never. They all treat patients like they are their job and not an actual person. Shift changes are horrible because instead of going around patients schedule, they are coming in during shift change at night, poking and giving pills, but during the day you hardly see anyone or can get anyone to come to your room in timely manner, so be prepared to get no rest. I’m speaking from experience of my family members and also a friend who is there now. They are kicking her out ASAP with a bag draining from her because they don’t wanna take up a room longer than needed and did the same thing with my Gma when they put her on hospice after finding out she had stage 4cancer, kicked her out the next day, when they failed to find the cancer earlier that year and the year before when she came in emergency claiming she had pain.Said it was her weight and they couldn’t do anything for her, sent her home with pain pills. Try Presbyterian. My Gpa went there and no complaints. Everyone there was nice, helpful, caring. Went above and beyond.

Nurses were great very kind and helpful. Dr Ellison on the other hand is a real piece of work. My girl was there to get issues with her esophagus fixed. Put her on a liquid only diet which I understand cause she has trouble swallowing. But prescribes oral medication when she can’t swallow. Makes no sense. He pushed out her 3rd treatment for a week and told her she can’t go home she has to sit there and wait for an entire week. She has a 19month old that she needs to take care of. He treats he like an inconvenience and not a human being. Results from her Biopsy she got a week ago still haven’t come in. At this point she needs to go home but if she does they will cancel her next treatment if she leaves. He is very unprofessional and uncaring. One would think to be a doctor you should have good people skills and be caring. They also do not communicate between doctors at all

I was surprised to find that parking late night was easy and once on the main level from underground parking The interior hallways were all connected with building to building arrows to find your destination So Remember where you park and the rest is simple.

Most nurses are nice, but for your treatment, plan on staying several days more than they say, having to have visitors share information between doctors because they have no communication (even though charts are electronic?), having procedures and surgeries unscheduled, so days and plans are up in the air. If you want someone to be with you through any of it, be sure they can just devote 12 and 15 hour days to sitting and waiting to SEE if the surgery or procedure will actually happen when they say, if not, you won't know until you realize it's 9 p.m. AGAIN and it's not happening. If you have to fast, be prepared to fast for a few days because the procedures will not happen until they get ready. So disappointed and in disbelief at the unprofessional care here.

The staff, no matter what floor you're on or department you're in, will ALWAYS take excellent care of you. You may be ill, but you can be guaranteed that you'll leave in MUCH better health. If you're unfortunate enough to have to frequent this hospital, you can at least be comforted by the idea that the nurses and patient care technicians well remember you from the first hospitalization on. I, personally, have been sick for just over two decades, but I KNOW that I will always be treated with great care and respect. I consider myself lucky that I have such an awesome hospital that can thoroughly take care of any and all needs I have.

I had transplant surgery in November 2020. Post-surgery care was phenomenal! The day following my discharge, I suffered a transient stroke and back to 13 Roberts ( 13th floor Roberts) I went. Again, phenomenal care! Two days after discharge, I received a positive COVID-19 test. On New Year’s Day, back to 13 Roberts with complications of COVID for a stay of almost 3 weeks. The staff at 13 Roberts were incredibly caring. I’ve never met a more caring bunch of nurses, patient care techs, environmental techs (housekeeping), physical therapists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, food service and doctors! BSW Dallas just rocks!

Horrible service from nurses. They provided a room with dirty linens which is unacceptable coming out of surgery and during a pandemic. Removed dirty linens until the next day. Several issues with the bed not working . Call the nurses station several times without issue being resolved . Having to deal with the attitudes from the nurses is very frustrating when a patient is dealing with recovery and cannot get help from who is supposed to be assisting. Will not be returning to this hospital due to this experience

There's a fraud going on to the store in the first floor, someone might have hacked their machines for payments. I just reported a fraudulent activity on my card today and the operator said that someone might have copied my card because they paid some food in this location by inserting the chip. I said we were discharged 3 days ago. So there's no way I'll be buying food there. Be careful just use cash to pay instead of card.

All of my crew from the docs, rn, house keeping, patient care techs. Inline vine specialists. Food servers, and pre surgey nurses and blood workers have been great and observing and motivational to my regaining my health to many names to write so I will leave a photo of there names BAYLOR please recognize these hard workers for me and I believe communication all around could be better improved

I’m super grateful for all of the staff members here. Everyone was super caring, funny, honest, extremely hard working, straightforward, and professional. Even with an attempt to be overly super critical, I would have nothing negative to say in the least. Every doctor, nurse, assistant, technician, kitchen staff member, and janitor I personally came across was absolutely incredible!

My stepmother had a double lung transplant at BS&W Dallas. The care was excellent. The staff was so caring. We ended up back in the ICU 2 months later, and she was treated like royalty. Thank you for treating her like family. There are several stand-outs... Caitlyn, Brittany, Bailey, Caroline, Dr. Mason, & Sam (sorry about my dad & the cane incident ).

Husband has been in recovery waiting for a room. I truly understand that you have to wait for rooms for people to be discharged and rooms to be cleaned but please does it take this long. This is my husband third visit here, great hospital, nursing staff, and support staff, but housekeeping had been an issue.

  • Joe Clement

People are ok, surgery was ok. Parking lots show open, but 50 cars are roaming and not a.single spot. The hospital is the same. Surgery planned in December, pre-admitted last week, and no f'n hospital rooms. Been waiting in recovery for 6 hours. And they're out of food and meds too. Never coming here again.

Shout out to (nurse) Ulrich Degho! He did such an amazing job at comforting me and my family during this horrible time. He has such an amazing sprit and it definitely made a difference. Ulrich, keep progressing and keep up the great work! Don't stop until you hit the top. Thanks, Baylor & Ulrich !!

  • Salem Cull

Here because for some reason my town doesn't have a GI surgeon that my insurance take. Doctors are good but, good lord do they require the nurses to not have a personality? It's taken 3 days for them to figure out no one started my home meds back up. I don't tbh I sick of being here.

  • Debbie Schneider

After surgery my Mother was on the 16th floor and I can not say enough about the outstanding care the tech and nurses gave to my Mother. Sweetest and skill nursing staff I have ever encounter. They were the best. Excellent care would give them 10 stars if they had it

  • Maria Cecilia Rojas

Horrible financial assistance program… represents no assistance at all. They would have providers go in your hospital visit and then run unnecessary testing and then bill you separately for them without letting you know…. Go somewhere else if you can

  • Linda Lopez

The amount of support and care my mother and I received are beyond words I can express. From the moment she was in the ER to when she was admitted to The Roberts Building I will forever be grateful. They are truly heroes without capes!

  • Lori Zidell
