Well what can I say, all I can do is laugh now because I do not have a leg to stand on. My car broke down and so I called RAA they told me it was a clutch problem. Rang around to see if I could get it replaced, 1 guy said it was $1050, and ABS said nah bring it down let me check it out and it'll probably only cost under $300, so I did, but here's the thing my clutch was working again, it was an intermittent fault I see. So they told me they couldn't get it done for a few days, I said ok no problem and didn't offer me a replacement vehicle. I specifically told him I am a uni student and cannot afford $1000 all I had was around $300-$400, Rob nicest bloke in the world, he tells me it would not cost me $1000, and it was maybe under $300. So I took it down, and you know how the story goes, I get a call back saying it'll cost me $450 to fix a master cylinder (btw I have no ideas what that is), but said okay....., so I did an OXYPAY service to help me with the funds. Guess what happens a week later? Yep you called it my car broke down with the same problem. Called the RAA again and they tell me the whole clutch should of just been replaced not the master cylinder if your clutch was still working, well well looks like I've been duped, called them up to complain but like I said I have no leg to stand on because I'm not a mechanic and just went by what the RAA told me, he even told me I would not even have an argument if my car drive out out the workshop, here's the thing the fault was intermittent so I may have driven it out without if breaking down on me again. The service that was done was a fluid flush, clutch m/cyl, s/cyl and labour $496 exactly around how much I was getting paid as a uni student (funny that). So all I can do is laugh and give this review, good luck on anyone that uses them if you ask me just go to the actual dealers, these guys maybe cheap and have good friendly service but friendly services need to get paid good too.That was my experience sorry and I'm out of $496.

The service i received after ringing to get an idea of price, one which others with the same product or service had no problems offering was a surprise surprised they are still in business if they rely on new business. I have called twice in two weeks asking for an estimate or quote to have my front suspension re done to code and struts replaced ... all are off the shelf items for supply and fit. Both times i gave name and number, had it read it back to me so no mistake there and then told i would be called back same day. ?? Never happened on either occasion. The car was unroadworthy and a fix was urgent. The professional that has now completed the job, charged a very reasonable rate one which was comparable to the other 2 companies, that have customer service skills aswell. If that's what they operate like when you are giving them the opportunity to make money, imagine the difficulties when it's comes to any warrenties, and They had to pay us

i have had my car serviced by my usual mechanic for many years and although he was charging 250 a service every time, i never had issues after he had finished. Very trust worthy. I used these guys once because of a stupid voucher i purchased by a door knocker thinking i would save money. All of a sudden once the service was complete one of the workers called me and said that the radiator was leaking and wouldn't last a week before it needed replacing otherwise the motor would overheat...I've never had any issues or signs of it leaking as he car gets checked monthly. I now have to take it back to my usual mechanic to fix. Not only that but 1 day after service the clutch has been playing up and is very sticky...again i will have to take this to my original mechanic...STAY AWAY form these muppets, they will skrew your car to get more business...i will be taking this further than just a review

I have been twice for log book service now. This time i was quoted $602 but charged $659. The first time, I went for my 150000km service, they tried to push a break fluid change and spark plug change on me, extra charge on top of my log book service. I refused and asked them to just do the service. When I picked up my vehicle I was happy with the work, but they removed the check list for both 150000 & 160000km service in the service book. I found out that 160000 km service includes spark plug change and break fluid change. They were going to charge me extra on my first service, knowing these procedures were due on the next service. Then they tried to cover up by removing my next service book check list. This is deceptive behavior and the reason people find it hard to trust mechanics. Beware of this mob. I don't appreciate you dishonestly trying to separate me from my hard earned money.

Great service and quality work, good prices compared to around the place. I'll definitely be coming back. This place did my brakes a few years ago and I haven't had any problems with them since. They also managed to book me in for a diagnostic with 2 days of notice! The other place I usually went to couldn't see me for 3-4 weeks. After I dropped off my car (early, before my booked time), they found the problem within a couple of hours and also offered to fix it. In my case, the previous place I had been going to didn't fit my oil cap properly and it had ruined the coil, so they replaced that and also did my spark plugs which were due. Everything was fixed in less than 4 hours and my car has been running better than it ever has.

After several other businesses were unable to change the Front Ball Joints on my Jeep JK Wrangler this guys were able to. They were able to use some initiative and lateral thinking to remove the Press Fit joints. Whilst under the vehicle they identified some further work they recommended having done, but at no time did they pressure me to complete it. The only disappointing aspect was the failure to correctly torque and tighten an axle nut and discovering it falling off whilst rotating my tyres. To their credit they immediately corrected the problem at no cost. Overall I would recommend ABS Salisbury to others and will continue to utilise them for my automotive needs.

Poor service and really bad customer service-I got my diff replaced last year and I have had issues since I have asked for the invoice for proof of it being done and now being told I haven’t paided for it and there is no record which is a lie,also I got a service done 8 months ago and my husband is trying to do the service himself as he’s a mechanic as well and he can’t do a service as the sump bolt won’t undo as it has been done up that tight and I called up asking to crack it so we could do it and they want to charge for that when they were the last ones to service my car. Do not recommend abs Salisbury unless you want poor service and your car not running right

Paid $700 to have brake pads replaced and a “brake service” done. Drove less than 150km to have braking system completely fail and no brakes working in the car... Now they are quoting just over $900 to replace a brake hose (which should have been detected and replaced already when serviced if it was in fact worn or damaged). Have now rung 3 other independent mechanics who have quoted $220 up to max $250 to do the exact same job (parts and labour all included in that price)! Bad workmanship, dodgy inflated pricing and ridiculous justifications for their over the top huge price. DO NOT USE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF!!

I have a Peugeot 206 gti180 and getting repairs done for it has been a nightmare until I took it here. The only place I been that I feel they were completely honest and upfront with me the whole way thru, keeping me updated if optional repairs, costs, timeframes, etc.. I can’t possibly speak highly enough of them. They even explained to me exactly what was causing the issues I had and the options I had to repair it (attempting to undo the damage caused by a minor accident it had before I bought it that was well hidden but causing continuous issues with my wheel bearings). I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

These guys checked my oil plugs and replaced it without additional charge, after having done minor servicing on it the week before. I'm sure it's a nearly hassle-free affair, but it's the little things like these that will keep me coming back as a returning customer. Their customer service is also doing a stellar job - properly informing the customer of all the information that they need to know without being superfluous AND most importantly to me, being able to answer all the inquiries that they've got to ask. This gives me some reassurances and keeps me returning as a customer. Solid performer, these guys are.

stay away, my dad took his car because he doesn’t know better. Overcharged for an oil change. they charged him $150 for an wheel alignment, trying to justify why it costed $150 giving my dad 6 excuses on "what we needed to do". bare in mind a month before he took it in ABS i had his wheel alignments done at bob jane, but ABS suggested it needed to be done and convinced my father. down at bob jane they only charge $60 and they're a proper tyre store. side note* they tried to charge a customer $30 to change his number plate.....

I thoroughly recommend ABS at Salisbury. Rob who is the owner manager went out of his way and beyond the normal customer service requirements and located a trye that i required for my car as i was going away the following day. He took my car to that tyre outlet to get it fitted, waited and drove it back because it was out of hours and no other outlet would assist him. Hes certainly an execption to the rule nowadays of bad service and inferior client focus. He's got the job as my mechanic for life!

Mario went out of his way to help get my car back on the road after 2 Ford dealers couldn't help for 2 weeks. He even lent me (a new customer) his own personal vehicle when a loan car wasn't returned on time. Repairs to the cooling system were carried out very quickly and I was back on the road again within a few days. I will certainly be returning to ABS Salisbury when my car is due for the next service, and would recommend the company to anyone.

Rob is a very easy and knowledgeable guy to talk to. He also is careful not to do more work than necessary and to suggest areas that do need attention after initial diagnosis. I have always had good experiences with the ABS brand. The Salisbury store is continuing the trend. I'll be going back. Also offers Pensioner discount which is a bonus.Also cleaned the car which was a pleasant surprise. Great work professionally done and great value.

I have found ABS Salisbury to be thorough in their workmanship. They all let me know if there are any problems and I have never had take my car back. Rob or Peter always go through the work that has been done so you know what your paying for. Also loan cars are available too. Since I have been going to ABS salisbury I have seen the business grow to a one stop shop for most of my car servicing. Well done Rob.

Been going there for awhile now an previously been dealing with Michael an khala, rang up the other day to book my car in only to be spoken too badly an told that they had been fired. Adelaide being Adelaide asked around an find that they are running midas port adelaide now, they weren't fired. So that will be my new local. Ripped my partner off. Quoted $380 for service. Paid with afterpay on auto guru. Had the car for 7 hours charged $450 extra on pick up. Over $700. The only thing we agreed to was wiper blade replacement and a scan for the. Heck engine light. Equaling $200 extra there's a long list of extra thing they did without asking. What if we didn't have that extra money on pickup? Absolutely ridiculous.

Did a 90000km service on my Dmax. The service was excellent at reception phoned me to discuss what needed to be done above a normal service. Cost was quite satisfactory for amount of work done. Called before the expected time for me to collect. Would recommend to potential customers for quality of workmanship, attention to vehicle needs and advice on repairs or maintenance at next service.

I went to ABS Salisbury on the reccomendation of my son. On first appraisal they located the faulty master cylinder component and were able get a new part overnight. By arrangement I dropped the vehicle off at start of business next morning, they handed it back to me early afternoon the same day. Everything operational. The service at all times was friendly, polite and professional. Allan.

I have an older car it would be easy for them to try to pull one over on me, but I've been here twice now and both times the car had what it needed fixed without them doing other things without consulting me first, Rob really worked with me to make sure I could afford the work that needed to be done. Had my imported 80s Bronco's full brake system done including custom fabrication of all the lines for half the price quoted by others in adelaide. The thing stopped on a dime and was finished way before i was told. Rob goes out of his way to help customers out with their cars. This man and his team are mechanical geniuses.

Had a great experience with these guys. They helped fix my car for cheaper than I had been quoted elsewhere. They saved me a lot of money on injector pump by using their special BG injector clean to clean out my fuel system, which worked out to be a fifth of the price. Very happy with their products, do highly recommend!

He doesn't call first to see if the customer is happy for them to do any extra work on it, instead they will do the extra work on it and will call you and tell you that they've done it already. Don't go there as they'll just rip you off.

I was charged $20 by ABS Salisbury for 2 minutes of labour to add a flare to a steel brake line. This equates to an hourly rate of $1,200/hr or half of the cost to buy a new brake line flaring kit. Not happy - I will not be going back!

The staff are very friendly and call you to let you know if other repairs are needed on your car...they have a payment plan which the repayments are interest free...l have been using ABS for a long time and can highly recommended them

Took my car for an evaluation of passenger seat problems Paid $60 to be told it was broken, I told them that for free when I arrived, I don't like being taken Be aware they charge you just to look. NO I do not recommend this company
