  • "Store is very clean"

"The BEST Aldi I’ve shopped in! I’m so happy there’s an Aldi in Uptown close to my place"

"Aldi is great! This location(the one on 26th and Lyndale) seems to be the cleanest and best location I have visited! Their selection is awesome and the underground parking rocks! I do almost all my grocery shopping at Aldi, specifically this one, now! Their foods are cheap and delicious! I know how they operate so efficiently and can keep prices low! Very little staff, no music playing, the products are stocked in the boxes they're shipped in, you have to pay to use a cart(but you get your quarter back, so no one steals carts! It's all around, a very smart business model! How other stores have not adopted any of Aldi's business models, is beyond me!"

"Aldi has really stepped up their game since I first started shopping there in college, and they are definitely my favorite grocery store"

Store is very clean. Additionally, it offers a wide selection of organic foods & beverages. Underground parking is a plus. Consider entering parking lot from the south to avoid turning into two lanes of traffic. Parking lot is designed in 90 degree angles and can be somewhat challenging to maneuver around in. Drive slowly, carefully and assume that a family is behind you when backing up. Be nice. Avoid idling your vehicle when inside lot area. Bring a quarter for the cart rental. Service members are nice in general, but they do not seemingly go out of their way to assist customers. Apartments are above store whic is really an excellent idea. Customers tend to stick to themselves and seem serious. Other stores have a varied selection of products so you may need to ask managers about product availability. They do not carry tofu. Go down the way to the Wedge for that. Organic produce selection is relatively good/mid-sized. If you do not see products stocked that you are expecting, ask to speak with the manager and attempt to make formal request for it. The more customers who demand organic, free-range and non-generically modified foods the better. Uncertain how this store derives its electrical power. It would be nice if it supported renewable energy sources such as wind power and community solar for 100 to 125 % of its electricity needs. Finally, it would be nice if this and all Aldi's allowed customers to round up for organic farmers to support them. Also, having more locally grown produce would be a huge incentive to shop there. Close to Wesley Andrews which is nice if you are craving a matcha or coffee specialty beverage. Be respectful to staff. Sat Nam.

The BEST Aldi I’ve shopped in! I’m so happy there’s an Aldi in Uptown close to my place. I stopped in this week to check it out and I was very impressed. Parking - There is free underground parking. Right now you don’t need to validate. Just pull in and park. I really hope it stayed this way because its always a hassle for me to remember to get those tiny little tickets stamped. Produce - The fruits and veggies looked nice and fresh! Most items were slightly higher priced than what I’ve found at other Aldi stores. Store hours - 9am to 8pm. I really wish they would stay open later. 8pm is is quite early for a grocery store to close. Overall I LOVED the store and location. It was super clean and organized! I was in and out within 15 minutes! Definitely stop by for your groceries!

Aldi has really stepped up their game since I first started shopping there in college, and they are definitely my favorite grocery store. Everything is store brand, so you're not paying for advertising, and the products are the same level of quality that you would expect from most brands. I shop here once a week, and I am typically able to get everything on my list for about $50. Part of the fun of this location is checking out the horizontal freezers for specialty or seasonal items - if you see something you like, buy it! It might not be there next time. Shout out to Halima, who is one of the fastest and friendliest cashiers at this location!

  • Greg VonRuden

Just witnessed some very poor customer service. As we were done checking out, one of two cashier's decieded to take a break, or walk to the back?? As we moved to the counter to pack our groceries, the other cashier decided there were other priorities more important than to continue checking out the line of customers. He asked the line of people to move to the other register while he whistled his way to the pile of baskets. Nonchalantly moving them to the front door, and made it clear in his own words "I have other things I need to do". Leaving the line of customers with no one to check them out....

After a couple of years watching this Aldi (and apartment building) be built, I’m glad to see it finally here! The grocery scene in this neighborhood was always lacking – Cub is super depressing quality-wise, Wedge is insanely overpriced (sorry, I would love to shop local produce, but it’s unfortunately not within my budget here), and other options are pretty subpar. I’ll be saving tons of money shopping here. Aldi brands are great for the price and there are always deals on name brand stuff if you look around. Definitely encourage Uptown folks to shop here if they haven’t already checked it out.

I have been underwhelmed by Aldi produce, and I was extremely disappointed with my last experience at the store. I found a very large, dead insect waiting for me in my “ready to eat,” “pre-washed” spinach. Upon taking the product back to the store, the manager joked that the bug was “cute,” and told me that these kind of things happen since “it is the garden, after all.” While I don’t recommend it, if you must buy your produce here, do yourself a favor and check before you chew. I’ll be walking the extra blocks to Wedge from now on. Guess I learned the hard way that you get what you pay for.

Aldi is amazing if you've never had the chance of the opportunity to go into their store and save probably 50% of any other store you should check it out and while it may not always have the exact products you need and they do rotate things from time to time I would definitely start out my shopping experience there always staff is always super hip super friendly is always wide variety of humanity in their shopping and again the prices are just insane and it's the exact same food you would buy any other reputable grocery store always support the small business

  • Ashlee Croaston

This is the absolute best Aldi in Minneapolis, by a LONG shot. Fully stocked, super clean, cheerful employees, free underground parking. We got every single thing on our shopping list, which is quite rare when it comes to shopping at Aldi (had to dig a bit to find vegetable broth, but it was there). This actually might be the nicest Aldi I've ever been to, including the ones in Chicago and in the 'burbs. Anyone who gave this location less than 4 stars has clearly never experienced the Franklin location... I honestly don't think they'd survive it.

  • Sam Rose

the best aldi i've been to, and i really loved the one in my hometown too so that's saying a lot. i used to go to the one on east franklin, but unfortunately they have been out of a lot of stuff lately. maybe i'm just not going in at the right times. regardless, i really appreciate that staff are friendly, efficient, and wear masks (properly!). products are easy to find, the store is amazingly clean, and i never feel like i'm overspending. i especially like buying meat here, i save a ton of money compared to other places on that front.

  • Mol D

I would like to see the choices expand as well as the amount of products on the shelves at Aldi. In addition, on my last few trips to Aldi I found that most of the produce to be beyond ripe âs well as multiple pieces of moldy produce in the prepackaged produce such as the strawberries. Overall, I enjoy my shopping experience and purchase a good portion of my groceries at Aldi as it offers the least expensive but quality food items and you can purchase items that you cannot find in any other grocery store at Aldi.

  • Sony

Everything's fine except the entrance to the underground parking. It's quite dangerous to have a single-lane entrance/exit on a steep decline. What if I drive to the door, it opens and there's another car trying to get out. What if the car inside can't back up because there are other cars behind it. I couldn't reverse out of that steep decline onto busy Lyndale. Dangerous. Widen the entrance/ exit so that it's TWO LANE with a line down the middle so that cars entering and exiting don't get stuck.

  • Kirian Crabtree

The staff are great and so are the prices. Unfortunately the produce is often bad, especially things like onions, berries, lemons, and such where it's serveral pieces of produce in a bag together. I think they might package newer produce with older because you'll have a lemon covered in mold next to one that is perfectly fine in the same bag. I still appreciate that the store is there especially for those of us who have a harder time affording groceries nowadays but I think it could be better.

  • S. Chinwuba

Absolutely love the underground parking for the Aldi store itself so you didn't have to fight for parking there were grocery carts in the garage which was slightly confusing by the elevator but when we got up to the store they were cards right there which the convenience of that and the return of cards totally made sense but a little confusing at first Kansas staff when the lines got 3D they called more stuff over to open more registers the produce department was stocked beautifully and fresh

  • Tony Lee

Best selection for any Twin Cities area ALDIs. If you live in the area and can bring one of those old lady grocery carts with you then I highly recommend you do. Because it’s sure easy to get here, park here- good luck leaving. If you can avoid driving here then do it. Otherwise the parking facilities are more than sufficient - and heated in the winter! And I could be wrong, but it feels like there’s more room inside to navigate this particular location than others.

  • gordie loewen

I was about a block from the store when I saw a guy with two small dogs wearing sweaters. One of the sweaters looked like R2-D2 and the other C3PO. I said to the man "You there, how long have you owned those dogs?" and he said, "These aren't the dogs you're looking for." I silently resumed my journey to your store. Not 10 steps later, I saw an albino squirrel and chased it around for a minute. I thought that was pretty neat. 5 stars out of 5, would visit again.

  • Nick Olson

Aldi doesn't sell everything, but the quality and prices are so good that I've just adapted my diet. It's become a way of life. You won't find 13 different brands of everything like you might at a bigger store, but I actually prefer having 1-2 options that are both good. I always keep an Aldi quarter on hand for the shopping carts, because you never know. The staff here is also very efficient and friendly, and the location is convenient.

  • Elizabeth Mathers

One of the more unique Aldi's experiences I've ever had. Parked in a parking garage [free] and to an elevator [free] up to the store to grab a cart [25 cents, but you break even]. I felt like a movie star buying beef jerky and paper towels. A nice location for all the good Aldi's groceries I need. Staff was kind. My friend, from the big land of California, was scared at how fast they scan items. He'll get used to it.

  • P. Landreth Neel

So I almost didn't go back to Aldis but that's because I didn't understand that a $0.25 is needed for a cart AND it's imperative at check out that you have a cart as they quickly scan your items and throw them in to an already existing cart in check-out. This is why you MUST bring that quarter it unlocks the carts and upon return of said cart, you get it back! BTW - wise to bring things to bag your items as well!!

  • Uri Neren

The lowest quality of food presented at low prices - but probably not a better deal than say Targets grocery. Some of the organics looked like a decent deal - if they are actually organic which is unlikely given how little Aldi cares about the quality of the store, environment, and all other products. Really don't understand 'the hype' around this store opening which usually means it was all due to a PR campaign.

  • Amanda Roloson

Love this Aldi, and have busted several times as I'm walking distance but the last two times I haven't seen the simply nature organic chicken sausage in spinach or Italian varieties. I hope they continue to stock them here! I also got some organic butternut squash soup. May have been seasonal, but now it's gone, wish I bought more. Please stick organic tomato paste. You guys are great! Keep it up!

  • Kelly Goldthorpe

This Aldi is THE BEST. I just want to shout out the employees who are constantly crushing it. They have to be the hardest working people in Minneapolis. I love coming here - it fills me with joy seeing how much I save. The store is clean, well stocked, and usually has some fun seasonal gems (ghost shaped pizza anyone?) Thanks to the whole Aldi team for your hard work!!

  • Banana Hammock

Hours of 9am-8pm everyday - formerly 6pm, so that’s an improvement. But still the fewest operating hours of any grocery store in Minneapolis. Cheap prices, but plenty of cheap products. Limited produce, especially bulk. Checkout is always slow and feels like the TSA designed it. Pricing gets you in the door, but leaving the store feels better than any cost savings.

  • Stacey Scherer

It's an okay place to shop. I don't think I would trust their meat. Their produce is hit or miss. I don't know most of the brands they have which makes me hesitant to buy. I'm more of a name brand girl. I suppose if you're trying to save some money at might be desirable. I just cut things out in other parts of my life so I can shop at a regular grocery store.

  • Bradley George

This Aldis is super cool, everyone who shops here is a total hipster. Want to see where the personality is in Minneapolis... surprise, check out Aldi's on lyndale. The workers are super cool and this grocery store has an all around good vybe. If you consider yourself unique, awkward, different, a one of a kind, not the garden variety, u will find kin here

  • Joe Piscaschmoe

The blackberries I bought turned out to be moldy on the same day. I didn’t bother buying peppers because there was a swarm of fruit flies around them. The milk I got turned out to have a bunch of who knows what black stuff on the top of it. Prices are decent but not worth dealing with these problems. This isn’t a third world market. Do better, Aldi.

  • The Times

I recommend going here first to get all your produce before hitting a Cub foods or any other major grocery store I got all of my produce for a very nice price very clean establishment staff aren't too attentive but for the most part they can help you get what you need done very nice parking area I might add with safe and secluded underground parking

  • Talicia Jackson

Very convenient. They have free underground parking. Bring a quarter to get a buggie (you get it back when you're done with it). You do not need coins for the small cart. You bag your own groceries and pay for a bag if you need one. They only have the basics in grocery. If you're looking for speciality butter etc, go to a bigger grocery store.

  • Hope LaBerge

The best Aldi I’ve been to. The produce has been fresh every time I’ve been there, the store and bathrooms have always been clean, and the employees are very nice and helpful. I go in the mornings around 10, and it has never been busy. The underground parking makes it the easiest store to shop at with my kids, especially in the winter!

  • Victoria

The produce was fresh. It's a huge store with everything you could want and the prices are lower than most stores. I love the ALDI FINDS every week. Although these items are becoming increasingly expensive compared to their food choices. Underground parking too. And don't forget to bring your own bags and a quarter for the cart!

  • Jeremy F

I enjoy shopping at Aldi and appreciate their commitment to social distancing. Even so, small round stickers on the floor don't really stand out and so customers continue to go against "one way" suggestions. Staff is friendly and helpful as always, and during rain, like today, underground parking rules!

  • Andres Perez

Very low prices, good quality. Inventory varies, so do plan around that. Go in with the expectation that they might not carry what you want. After a while you take note of what’s sporadic, and you start to buy those things when they’re in stock even though you may not need it immediately.

  • Louie R.P.

This Aldi is much better than the other one. It's clean and staffed a little better. Shelf stocking needs to be improved and they need to hire more cashiers as the lines are long and people get grumpy. I don't understand why any of the lanes are closed when the store is always busy.

  • Nick

Cheapest grocery store in the city by far. Pretty busy location but always stocked well. Line for checkout goes really fast and employees work like crazy. Parking in basement below the store is super tight and often very busy so be aware it could be hard to park when it’s busy

  • Shannon Svensrud

If you already know Aldi; it's likely I am preaching to the choir. While there are "watch-outs" (fruit doesn't last overly long, namely); the ease of shopping, the prices, the quality of the chocolates and cheeses and in this location - the underground parking - can't be beat.

  • Miss A

My first visit met expectations. Friends and media say it is a lower price alternative. Very few employees. You bag yr stuff and get the hell out of the way. Parking is underground and takes a few minutes as in/out are the same. Not many organic choices. All are major brands.

  • Coral Dirks

My favorite Aldi by far! Located in an upbeat neighborhood. Co-op vibe. Clean, vibrant, modern interior! Ample underground parking. Unbeatable prices and great selection of food, including things you wouldn't expect to find there (e.g., almond flour and protein powder.)

  • Drea Kingston

This Uptown Aldi is super convenient. With an underground parking area and excellent location, it's for sure a benefit to the neighborhood. I like to buy my produce and dairy products here, because the prices are so much cheaper than any other grocer. Good job, Aldi.

  • Damon Hall

Great! +-Fantastic!! +Friendly-Help. Would be-Nice to-have a small-section of school, writing, (+-mailing?) -supplies like; erasers, pens, mechanical pencils and leads, paper (and envelopes, -stamps?). [- just!-kidding!! -About the midnight to 3:00AM! -hours!!!]

  • Brian Keller

A well-managed store! The employees are always helpful and nice, the store is always clean and well-stocked, and the prices are lower than anywhere else. Further, one particular manager is always cheerful and helpful, which makes for a great overall experience.

  • Mike Gustafson

Very good 1st experience. Newer store with wider isles and the produce was super, and so many desirable items with GOOD pricing. I will go back. The under ground Parking is a big plus due to lack of street parking & might add to good security feeling for some.

  • Ellie Martinson

Great when not busy - often out of stock on weekends. Great parking situation except for the giant hill on the way out. Friendly and helpful staff. Produce is hit or miss. Super cheap and love their deals aisle for a nice little treat at the end of the trip

  • Charles Depietri (Father)

Great selection here on Lyndale Avenue Aldi. Staff was pleasant and service was above the call. Quiet clean and friendly place. Prices are excellent and the quality is good. Recommend this aldi for anyone in need of good pricing and fast acceptable service.

  • Bailey Griffith

This Aldi is in a super convenient location for me and I really appreciate that it has a parking garage underneath the store. I can usually find all the staples I need at a low price. I wish the store opened a little earlier or I would give it five stars.

  • Kerri Javorka

It wasn't busy at all when I stopped by this Monday afternoon. Things were easy to find, parking is easy with the underground free lot, and as usual I walked out with 2 or 3 times as much food for the amount of money I'd spend at Cub or other stores.

  • georgia hazel

the cashier was awesome I didn't have a quarter so she borrowed me one and she was also very nice to watch my things while I had to use the bathroom and the store was clean very nice good deals but I wish that you would have more choices in pet food

  • Brian Thielke

Great Aldi store with excellent prices and descent selection of organic produce and products. Store is always clean and staff are very efficient. You will need quarters in order to "rent" a shopping cart or there are shopping baskets as well.

  • Nancy Harms

Consistently the best! I have loved shopping here since they opened. During the virus, they've outdone themselves with healthy shopping measures. The quality and prices of products are great! Professional and courteous staff. Thank you,

  • Mbekstar ABOGE

Love this store. Lots of variety for ready to eat meals like riblets, patties, egg rolls, pulled pork and vegetable fried rice. Very friendly staff, clean and well organized store, and most of all unbeatable prices …

  • Ranieri Claudio

Clean and very organized store. Staff does a great job at keeping the place up to standard. All MN stores should follow their example with the underground parking. Hats off to this Aldi, actually thinking in the future.

  • Jamie Potter

Eat the produce the day or day after, or pick them. Such a good deal but I was wasting bunch. Aldi is the way to go for single mothers/fathers that dont have time Wonderful store, saved, and is saving me so much money

  • Davi Gray

Aldi has mostly good prices and produce, and an interesting eclectic selection of goods. This location is a bit troublesome, parking-wise. I'd avoid the underground garage if at all possible (tricky to negotiate).

  • Mallory Strehlow

The cheapest groceries around. The store is always clean and well stocked too. Some might not like that there are fewer options than most grocery stores, but if you're not looking for specific brands it's great!

  • Melissa Kramer

Excellent produce, neat and tidy and tend to be fully stocked. The lack of open cash registers often adds a couple minutes to the visit but the cashiers work quickly and efficiently to keep things moving along.

  • J Waterous

Brand New Aldi. Perfect distance from my condo to walk to and get back in a half hour. Best ceilings of all the Aldi stores? Maybe! Loving the selection of German delights in the frozen foods department!

  • Marie Smith

The parking, the associates, the items, the pricing. This is my favorite Aldi's. They literally ask if you need help. Everyone is always smiling even the employees. Its a nice and friendly environment.

  • N Nygaard

Nice Aldi store, parking is the biggest challenge but nice placement for the many people living so close to there. Check out was quick and employee was kind and threw my stuff in my shopping bag for me

  • ron heichert

I do like the store, just can't plan on getting everything on your list. Come here for inexpensive things to check off, then head to another grocery store for everything else. Otherwise I like it.

  • Mary B

Although it's tight parking, I definitely recommend their basement free spots. It makes it easier to load up your groceries in the winter, and then you're not close to traffic like street parking.

  • John Thorud

We love this store! Friendly staff, great selection, quality products at very low prices! The location is also very convenient for me, it's only a few doors down from our mattress and futon shop!

  • Em Marci

Happy this Aldi is finally here! Stopped by because I’m in desperate need of groceries and everyone was very polite and everything was clean, crisp and obviously they had great prices. …

  • Zachariah Booth

I tremendously rewarding experience. It has everything you could need, aside from special fruits and vegetables. The sense of community is great, very few karens and short lines during the week.

  • Andre Wilson

They have underground parking but the entrance is really small coming and going. I'm not a big fan of Aldi's, but it's a good place to get snacks for your kids if you're trying to save money.

  • Aryl Doughty

I love this location. The underground parking is genius. One issue only which is obviously minor but 1 elevator wasn't working. Cashier was pleasant. Store was very clean. Will come AGAIN.

  • Gareth

Nice place with great prices. As someone who comes from Colorado, I was shocked at how affordable aldi was... The place is clean and start are kind. Safe and nicely located grocery store.

  • Sidney Nguyen

Great location. I use it to get cash back as you can get up to $100 per transaction. Clean store. Free parking underground or on street. Traffic tends to be a problem. Around here there.

  • Adam Cameron

Went here for grand opening. This place is literally the worst. Figuratively, was a fairly normal whatever. Was expecting an actual Aldi, but this place does not yeet in the slightest.

  • Alana M

Conveniently located in the Lyn Lake area. The store is bright with staff happy to help. Parking is available for customers but can be challenging to exit onto Lyndale so use caution.

  • jamie hale

This is an amazing Aldi. The employees are very helpful. It has free underground parking, which is quite amazing for the uptown area. It is clean, friendly, and professional.

  • Nick Lindeke

I am continually impressed with how great the team at ALDI is. Everyone is so nice, friendly, and efficient. I wish all of my shopping experiences could be as good as ALDI!

  • Peter Neururer

Affordable, and quite high quality for the price. They follow European food standards being based out of Europe so no pink sludge/food binders on their beef for example.

  • Caroline Paredes

First Aldi’s I’ve ever been to; so excited to have this within walking distance. Prices are amazing!!! So clean, everyone friendly, all around great shopping experience!

  • James Rasmussen

Good experiences at this Aldi. It is smaller than most Aldi stores but is always stocked well. Friendly staff that makes an effort to make sure checkout lines move fast.

  • LReyes9044

Pretty damn decent meat and veg/fruit selection compared to all the overpriced bs around the area like lunds/wedge/kowalskis. If better parking id give 5stars.

  • Rick Gavras

New place; well organized, great helpful staff! Most products are awesome and many items from Europe! Steaks, meat etc are pretty darn good! A real gem, thanks

  • Kathy Utley

Great location and underground heated parking which is important in Minneapolis in the winter. Nice friendly staff. Great affordable place for organic food.

  • Glen Stevens

I love Aldi... great options, great produce, quick shopping experience. What's not to like... *Bring some re-usable bags, or buy as you are checking out.

  • Roberto Russo

It seems that all a great place to save on your food budget. They have very good prices on lots of the essentials. Most people wish better variety food.

  • B_Whussisname

I'm there all the time. Sort of low key on lyndale. It's never packed in there when shopping. My favorite Aldi in Hennepin county. Nice group of people.

  • Anthony Urban

It alright.... Better than the location that's in the hood on e Franklin , but they could have put something waaay cooler in this space if you ask me.

  • J UV

Lately, my customer service experience has been excellent. Employees have helped us locating items without complaint. One of the best ALDIs out there.

  • Steven Smith

A nice Aldi with underground parking. Newer store, went in for 2 different items, so I cannot really give more details. The cashier was very friendly.

  • Geeno Wade

the underground parking is a nice touch. the staff is very friendly and everyone seems to mind there own business and shop. my new favortite location

  • Anita Chavez

This newer location is wonderful !! The store is kept clean and orderly, always get help if needed. Prices are GREAT !!! One of my favorite stops !!!

  • Rik Olsen

Clean, well stocked and AMAZING. Super nice and helpful employees. The prices are fantastic and the food is superb. What a great addition to uptown.

  • Floyd Walker

Great prices. Though the time I went the fruits, we’re not in the best shape. I recommend getting fruits elsewhere, but everything else …

  • Meredith Shimek

Love this Aldi! Go almost every week. Parking ramp is convenient, the store is always well stocked, and the staff are friendly and efficient. :)

  • John Bergman

One of our favorite places in the neighborhood to shop. Stop here first. Fresh produce, helpful workers and great management at this location!

  • Tristen Sponsler

Bought almond milk got home and someone had already opened it and drank some and I guess put it back in the fridge with the other milks there.

  • D Hampton

Super clean aldi convenient parking underground cleaning wipes for your protection and always a good on some of your favorite food and snacks

  • Fatima Ahmed

If I could give a 0, I would. With both hiring and shopping felt profild as a black women. I'd rather go to east saintpaul than shop here.

  • George Effrem

Now they have Baklava for the holidays! A perfect holiday treat. When you go to Aldi you can almost forget about the other grocery stores.

  • Michael Splendore

nice Aldi but not well staffed and parking is kind of a nightmare. update: also the line is bonkers, just a huge time sink to shop here

  • Anthony Cherek

Great place to get cheap groceries. The selection isn't huge, but you can find most staple foods here. Employees are friendly and kind!

  • JASON JEWEL

Love the new location. Friendly, clean, and the underground FREE parking is the best! Makes for a quick convenient shopping experience.

  • Molly Cabrera

My first time at an Aldi's Grocery and I like it! The store was rather picked over on various items but I went in the late afternoon.

  • Bill Starzynski

Super clean! Produced looked good! Stressful not sure why they never have parsley? Anti-parsley produce puts ping on profits! …

  • Caleb Murphree

Great service, and amazing space. Larger aisles and much brighter than other ALDIs I've been to. Has a great selection of items!

  • Charles Meyer

Like most other Aldi's around and nothing to surprising. Clean store as well as shelves mostly full of items I was looking for.

  • Food Love

Great store. With good parking, an underground garage. They have great customer service. And the produce is good quality.
