This 24 hour facility is not open for 24 hours.. I'm local live close to this location it's currently 3:50 in the morning. This is an estimated 50th time that I've been by this location at this time of night, It's only to find a sign on the door that says I'll be back in 10 minutes.. Every time that I've been here at this time of night with that sign on the door I've had to wait up to 45 minutes. The young lady Anna that works in there with her face pierced up and no idea what customer service is, She make sure to go out of her way to call any customer that complains a Karen tells them to shut up. I get the impression a family member owns this franchise , This thereby entitles her to treat anyone the way she likes. Not to place you wanna go if you wanna be treated with at least a shred of decency. I've been waiting now for 27 minutes when I go in I'll report back with the treatment that I received tonight. Finally, the ARCO reopened, I went in conducted my business. This was the first time I said anything to the young woman about the endless waits. I politely asked if she would put up a return time that she might be back so I don't need to wait 20 minutes or more for her to come back from her 10 minute break. She said OK. We'll let you know how that turns out.................... want to make any bets?

The cashier is very disrespectful and acts like he owns the gas station. I witness the cashier who works in the morning, harass a woman for not putting in her card correctly, to the point to call her names. I couldn't stand there and not say anything, so when I address him on why he felt he needs to speak to a woman or anyone in that manner he got even more hostile, telling me we should know how to use the card machine. I was in line while there were 4 other customers waiting, and he was going off on me for sticking up for the young lady who he was harassing. Please find another gas station unless you like to be yelled at or treated with disrespect.

I've been going here since 1999. My $20 bill had a small tear and the rude cashier wouldnt take it. I educated him that as long as 3/4 of the bill is intact it can be used. He called me a liar so I again attempted to educate him. This was 1/19/21 at approx. 645pm. Get rid of this cashier or educate him how the exchange of currency works. 3/4 of the bill and it can be taken...educate your employees on the law. I'm filing a complaint with bbb and corporate as well.

I don't usually visit Arco locations because I hate paying the 35¢ transaction fee for using my debit card. I was impressed with the selection of snack offerings being fully stocked and the clerks cheerfulness and helpfulness even having to come into the store several times to finish my visit, which was all my fault and could have been annoying to the clerk but I never felt that vibe!

After being a paying customer, I went back out to my car but then needed to use the restroom. I asked him nicely,"Can I get the restroom key"...at that point he claimed I was rude and started to chew me out. After i finally got to use the key when I returned. He then threatened me yet again. I filed a report with Corperate and the BBB about their behavior.

I like the staff they have working there. They are very friendly and make a person feel comfortable. They do have a restroom that they will give you a key to use if you ask. However, this is a VERY pricy gas station. Just about everything they offer is going to be more expensive than most other places. If it wasn't for that, I would have rated 5 stars.

CLOSED?! I was ready to spend at least $40 in gas with Cash at this specific Arco gas station, but Nobody would take my CASH when reading this sign on the front door! The hand written sign states that they are closed and will return at 21:50. I arrived at 21:25. You just lost my business ARCO!!

It would have been easier to build my own refinery than try and fuel here. Credit cards not accepted, debit card wouldn’t work outside, because I used it outside I couldn’t use it inside, had to pay cash, huge line to get change… I’d gladly pay more to get in & out at another station

*AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS* There are skimmers on the pump card readers. My bank account was completely wiped. On a Saturday. No access to my account for 4 days when my new card arrives. I tried calling this location to make them aware of it and they didn't answer.

Apparently not 24hrs, Arrived to location @ 0225 employee outside smoking and was advised we closed, I'm on my break. Since when does a store close for you take a smoke break, when you've been breaking all night. I see why this location has the rating it does...

Convenient location for filling up a rental car before returning it. Can pay by debit card at pump. Seemed fairly clean. Lot is pretty small so larger vehicles might struggle to negotiate. Re-entering roadway could be a challenge during heavy traffic.

These folks need to "...do the tighten up" as Archie Bell & the Drells sang so many years ago. Their checkout computer system crashed so many of us not only had to wait in line for what seemed like forever, but no one could pump gas either.

They don't take credit cards, but the guy at the register was nice and held our stuff while we went back to our hotel for a debit card. They have a decent amount of stuff for decent prices. It was very convenient to have this near the hotel.

They don’t take credit cards, even at the pumps. On top of that debacle, they charge you a 35 cent “debit fee”. The only reason I filled up here was because I needed gas then and it was 30 cents more per gallon across the street at Shell.

Terrible business. Only accepts debit cards but is not clearly displayed on the price of the gas that is displayed on the price. Someone should complain to a government entity. Complete waste of time to pull in, just to have to leave.

They don't credit cards inside or at the pump then charge you a fee to use your own debit card. This place is a scam and basically don't want to pay the cost of owning a business so they pass their operating costs on to the consumer.

Very nice staff. I stopped there when I got lost trying to find my way back home on my first day here. The young gentleman was very kind and GPSed it for me...I was right around the corner! Oy! LOL But I appreciate his kindness!!!

Reasonable gas station prices which is not too far from Pacific Beach. And surrounding well-known beach stores of all kinds. Vons,Trader Joe's, Sprouts,surf shops, Tourmaline beach,lots of places to go and see. Love it there !

Find another gas station when returning your rental car. They don't accept credit cards, and when you try to use a debit they add a fee on. Seriously who wants to use a DEBIT card on pumps that can easily have a skimmer?

I Can't Say They Have Any Food. Yeah Just Snacks, Chips & Cold Drinks. Yeah But I Like This Location Because It's Easy Access Off 5HWY. Yup Pump's Always Up & Running. I Totally Recommend This Place. Yeah Open 24 Hrs.

Quick and easy access, get off and right back on the freeway no hassle trying to navigate your way back or find it when you exit. And of coarse prices are amongst the best in town even if it is right near the airport.

Half the pumps don't work and the staff wanted me to leave my debit card with them while I pumped the gas... And tell them the PIN. No thanks! No wonder the Shell right across the street is way more expensive.

I wouldn't typically write a gas station but this is worth the effort. They had cash only, or a fee for debit card transactions at the pump. No credit card at the pump. No receipt would print. Extra fees.

be very carful here they stole my debit card number and they bought over $400.00 online with it as soon i left . I call arco corp and was told it was not the first time they was report it for doing this .

Got gas here this morning and used my debit card which I never use. Then my debit card info was compromised immediately after and fraudulent charges appeared.

Easiest, safest on/off from the 5 to get gas, Old Town exit. much lower prices than the closer exits to the airport.

The onbase gas is slightly cheaper, but the building is not yet open for purchase of things like drinks or snacks.
