After having checked the opening times on the internet (Saturday 9am-4pm), I went the to post office on Smithdown Road to post a parcel. I arrived there at 3:45pm and two staff were at the post office, but they refused to serve me. The female staff member said that they stopped working at 3:30pm so that they could be out of the post office by 4pm. (The sign on the door says it is open until 4:30pm) While I was there, another 5 people tried to get served - without any success. Could you please clarify why the post office is officially open until 4pm (internet) or 4:30pm (sign on the door), but staff refuses to serve people after 3:30pm.

Pretty disappointing experience. The lady who served my was blatantly (and unnecessarily) rude to the customer before me, and pretty short with me. It seemed as though she really couldn't be bothered to do her job, and I found myself leading the transaction/conversation. I'd say that around 20% of the shelves were actually stocked, and the rest of the shop looked quite tatty. Won't be coming here again - the post office down the road is a lot better.

Every time I have been here the staff have been rude and unhelpful, and it’s not just one particular member of staff, it’s a few of them. Noticed some staff members were patronising to other customers. Once I went and there was no hello, thank-you or goodbye, they were just chatting to their friends the whole time I was being served. Generally they all have a can’t-do attitude and it’s overall an unenjoyable experience :(

"Shell"describes it well, there's literally nothing in here apart from the desks and an ID photo machine. It's got a weirdly abandoned feel. But I found the staff there perfectly nice and friendly so it doesn't matter what it looks like really. Also it's definitely not open 24 hours, it opens at 9 on weekdays and I'm not sure when it closes.

Okay for sending letters or getting money out. I wouldn’t bother for car tax or anything more complex though. The staff don’t have the basic training or stock the correct forms. If it’s anything other than a completely straight forward transaction they just send you to the main office because they don’t understand what to do. Waste of time.

Firstly, I don't know how this is classed as a post office. Its the worst customer service, I've ever seen. The staffs displayed remarkable ineptitude. the insolence behaviour shown by the staffs is shambolic. The official complaints have been sent to the headquarters.

False advertising, made me waste my time and money to travel over there. This post office is NOT open 24h hours and the store hasn't even bothered to update their opening times. So let me help, they're closed, hopefully for good.

Entrance to narrow door, sharp via to right up ramp, metal unit been placed in front leaving very little room for person get past. I have no chance as lam in wheelchair!!

A shell of a post office. A few greeting cards on the wall, nothing special or exciting here. An unenthusiastic place with an unenthusiastic staff.

Post office that you can park next to, which is handy. Friendly staff. Always pretty busy, though the queue moved quickly.

Always having a good experience. Don’t understand why some people complain. Be patient and friendly with others that’s it.

i hate this post office but its the closest one, 1 staff most days now, que is huge, staff take ages serving.

It is now 15:48 and the post office is already closed. For days now they open and close as they wish.

Once went there and the female staff couldn't even do simple maths, and sometimes they can be rude

Twice I have been here now based on their opening hours and both times they have been closed.

Bad customer service, i get no help, lose my 8 pounds and never come back here again
