Achimota Transport Terminal was inaugurated in December, 2009, with the aim of reducing congestion on the Accra -Nsawam road. The terminal can accommodate 800 vehicles and includes other facilities such as a police station and a clinic. It was started by President Kufour but was inaugurated by the Mills administration.

One of the few neatest transport terminals in Accra. The availability of bus to almost any location within Accra is highly commendable. The terminal will be much complete if the individual routes are well labeled on each parking lot. It'll make navigation much easier.

Very neat terminal. The only terminal in the Ghanaian capital where Hawking is disallowed. Spacious terminal with enough waiting places, hospital, police station and restaurants.
