I had worst experience ever, sent daughter to pick of one of my favorites which is cinnamon rolls I love them because remind me of Mckenzie's Bakery cinnamon rolls. When she returned with the cinnamon rolls when I first looked at the pack I knew they were old. They were flat, icing was stuck to plastic bag, and did not have and expiration date on it. So I tried giving it the benefit of the doubt and opened the pack at the touch I knew the were stale, I broke one in half and it was hard in the middle. So I called and spoke to very friendly young woman and told her what I experienced she immediately spoke to owner and he said he would call me back, I okay and thanked her for her help this was at 11:45 am . So I waited until 12:45 and hour then went to get a refund when I walked in i saw the owner he walked right pass me with bag in y hand and was heading for the door. Never said good afternoon may I help with something, he tried to bypass me and thought I was gonna go to the young lady I spoke to on the phone, there was no need because she was unable to help me on the phone and he was supposed to be calling me back. So I said excuse me the twice the second time he turned around and I asked are you the owner (which I knew he was) he said yes , I said iI called and hour a go regarding purchased and was waiting for a call back from you. He said he was looking for me in the lobby, (no I was never there he was suppose to call me back). Lied to my face and then told me fresh cinnamon roll were baking and to come back in twenty minutes (then in the same breath he changed to 2pm which would have been a hour. So I said okay but he left out door the same time I did but figured he had workers in back taking care of everything (evidently not) when I returned at 2:12 the young lady said that he hadn't made it back and there was no rolls baking in back, I was livid I said are you sure maybe you can check she said no ma'am there's nothing there. So I said may I have a refund and she said sure. I try to patronize all of our black businesses there was no need for that business owner to lie to my face, he just should have offered me a refund. Sorry won't be returning to Adrian's ever again and I would advise anyone else to be sure there's and expiration date on all products before purchasing.

My cousin recommended Adrian's Bakery to me. My wife and I ordered a custom 2 layered cake for my mother's 79th birthday party. I informed the owner that I needed a cake that could accommodate at least 50 people. I also furnished a picture with a clear image of the type of style that I wanted. Well, she wrote the ticket for a 2 layered cake withe the top portion measurement of 6" and the bottom base at 10". I was assured that this would accommodate over 50 people. The total cost was 337.37. My scheduled time and date was Aprill 30th at noon the date of the party. I arrived at approximately 10 am since the cake was ordered 2 weeks in advance. When the young lady put the cake on the counter I notice a dent on the side of the cake which was not the biggest problem. The other issues were that the cake appeared very small and it didn't have my mother's name anywhere around the base of the cake . I informed the young lady about my concerns and she took my number and said that someone would contact me. After a little while the store manager contacted me and I told her about my issues with the cake. She informed me that the cake size would accommodate 50 people and that the owner didn't say that she was going to put a name anywhere around the cake even though my mother's name is clearly in the print description section of the ticket. So I went back in the shop and purchased a sheet cake to add to make up the difference from the original cake being so small spending another $67. The manager said to come back after hours and the issues would be resolved. When I returned the dent on the original cake was smoothed over. And the young lady said that the owner said that I didn't pay for a name placement and she was not going to put one on there. I'm truly out done. We spent a total of $400 at this Bakery! This was horrible! If it was not the day of the event I would have left that cake there but they had us over a barrel! I will never ever set foot in that business again and I will spread the word about my experience! Ooh and they spelled my mother's name wrong on the sheet cake!!

I would not recommend Adrian‘s bakery to my worse enemy. They messed up not one but two of my cakes. The first time it was my specialty grooms cake that was suppose to be ready for 1pm. I arrived a little before 4pm and my cake was not ready. They was still working on getting the design together and stated that it would be 15 more minutes. 15 minutes turn into 45 and I was offered a measly $15 dollars to compensate. Needless to say I was late to my own wedding because of this. Even after this I gave them a second chance. Should have known from the get go something was going to be wrong as the worker who took my cake order didn’t know how to fill out the sheet. My cake was suppose to be ready for 12pm. I get there at 1:30pm to picked up my cake and the worker looked at me like she didn’t know what I was taking about and ask for my receipt. The baker in the back was looking around while laughing with coworkers trying to find the order request. I stand there for 5 minutes of this to be finally told that it would be 30 more minutes. No I’m sorry for the inconvenience no explanation of why my cake was not ready at the promise time. All I got was “for future orders try to order it about 2 hours in advance just so it can be ready at the time you need it for.” Why do I need to go through all that when it should be ready at the time you promised it for. Needless to say I ask what was my options were. It was either get a refund or wait 30 minutes. They offered me some old looking donuts after I ask for something for my inconvenience. I didn’t want that so I was offered 4 small cupcakes which ended up being stale. Finally got my cake an hour later. Cake didn’t have all wording that I ask to be placed on the cake. Unless you want to waste your day sitting around in Adrian’s for a cake take my advice and go somewhere else. Wish I took that advice from someone else who had the same thing happened to them.

My cousin had an unfortunate experience in his life. He lost 3 of his closes relatives in his life. His mom, dad and grandpa were all killed in a car accident. I wanted to cheer them up by ordering a king cake from New Orleans and have it sent to them. I ordered the king cake on February 22 nd to have it shipped to El Paso Texas where the funeral was held. and here it is March 3 rd. And still no king can was delivered. I payed for the order that same day as I ordered it. I called Adrain’s Bakery in New Orleans like 12 times. They was trying to track down my tracking number. But to no avail. They told me 3 days ago the king cake was shipped and my cousins should be receiving it that day. Well they kept waiting and checked for the package to come in and it has not arrived. Before people order from Adrain’s Bakery in New Orleans you should always get your tracking number before you end the call. Somehow my order was never never done and was missed placed. I would not recommend this bakery to anyone. They never did call me back with the tracking number like the lady explained she would. Although they took my payment and did not refund me back my money. I sure wish this mess would be cleared up. Well my cousins are headed back to Broken Arrow Oklahoma from El Paso Texas. The funeral is over and the have to get back to their lives in Oklahoma. Wow never thought by ordering from this said company would case so much stress. So any way Mr. Adrain would you please return my call. Or owner/Management.

Very unprofessional and ghetto experience. I placed an order on a Tuesday for two day shipping of two king cakes. My order was not processed but my card was charged $63.98 then. I never got an order confirmation so I called back Wednesday and was told I would get a returned call. I never did. I called back again Thursday and got a confirmation text and no more. Fast forward to Saturday, I get ANOTHER charge for $90 in addition to the $63.98 for two king cakes which was never authorized! How do you authorize a charge on someone’s account without their permission?? When I called to inquire, the person who answered the phone LIED and said the “fed ex man came today and picked it up” I asked to speak to a manager because I wasn’t getting a straight answer only for the OWNER to get on the phone with the nastiest attitude ever who didn’t try to rectify the issue, she just kept cutting me off being ghetto af and told me that she wasn’t going back and forth and she was cancelling my orders; mind you ppl have been expecting these king cakes since Thursday during a cancelled Mardi Gras season. Furious is an understatement. (I’ve never written a review ever but I’m tired of unprofessional services from these people) This is after years of shopping with them and giving several chances after similar unprofessional overpriced experiences. 1 star. Very ghetto. Would not recommend.

So, I'm going to give this place a five star, because it gives me what I want. I do think that they could do better with their customer facing staff. Sometimes we give young people control of the front of house, but we don't train them or supervise them. Probably, because we don't have a standard ourselves. For example, they need to be trained as to the ingredients in the cake. We're in a place where people have allergies and those that don't have allergies are not eating certain things. Your staff should know what's in your food. And because they are sales people your staff should be able to make recommendations, know pricing and be able to upsell products like beverages. We should monitor their conversations and interactions between employees. Not discussing family business with a customer standing there. Or any business for that matter that doesn't deal with the customer right in front of them. I called on the phone and there should be a standard greeting with happiness in the voice. With that said I like the fact you have 10,000 choices available. I like that you're open very early. I like that you're in a place that's easy to park. That praline donut though is like buttery. Never tasted a buttery donut. And it's not too sweet either. I like being able to buy cake by the slice. I give it 5 stars, because of the product. But you could use some staff training.

I pre-ordered a cake for my son's christening the weekend prior to the event, however when I went to pick it up it was unfinished and not like the picture we discussed previously. There were two hours for them to make it right, which was such a headache. I was first asked if I could pick it up, which I replied no becuase I would be at the christening. They then offered to deliver for 2pm. 2pm came and went and no cake was to be found, nor any phone call made to inform me of such. I called multiple times as my party guests were waiting for the cake that wasn't delivered. After phone call six, I was told the cake has been delivered, however I informed them it wasn't to me . They then had to go find my cake that wasn't delivered to me but the kc hall, and finally deliver it about an hour and a half into the party. I was so upset at this point, but happy to at least have our cake. I calmed down, and went to take a picture of the expensive cake that I was once ok paying for, only to find out they didn't even finish the wording on the cake. Now not only was I furious again, but embarrassed! The cake was supposed to say, " God bless baby James" but only said, " God bless baby J". The way it was aligned you could clearly see the J was the start of unfinished word. Moral of the story: be cautious of ordering from them for an important event.

I stop in every few days to grab me a snack and the young lady who works the afternoons is always smiling, quick but courteous with every person and truly goes above and beyond. The atmosphere when you cross the threshold is one of community, love and happiness. We have an angel living amongst us and she makes the best donuts I've truly ever had. When the need for a cake or something in that realm, they will be the first I call, and I highly suggest you do the same!

My daughter and I went into this bakery in advance and ordered a cake for my wife's upcoming birthday celebration. We picked a cake that they had displayed on their Instagram page that was topped with macaroons with metallic color and with strawberry filling and done with yellow cake. The day of the event we arrived to pick the cake up and there were no macaroons on the cake and the person at the counter acted as if somehow it was our fault even though it was clearly marked on the receipt exactly what was paid for. Never mind the fact that they charged us twice what the cake normally cost for us to get the cake the way we wanted it. When we had the cake cut at the venue there was no strawberry filling and it was made of white cake instead of yellow cake. This is the worst bakery in the city of New Orleans, hands down. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy !!!

  • Ang ela

I ordered a character cake and when I picked it up, no characters on the cake. The cashier wanted to pretend she didn’t no where the order book was,so I could see what all was missing from the cake. I was given a stuffed animal to put on my son cake, instead of a partial or some type of refund. Why would I want to put some stuffed animal on a edible cake. Don’t pay more than a small deposit on your order! I had defective balloons that didn’t last past a couple of hours. I have been to this place many times to buy donuts and pastries, but I have to say they really disappointed me with there lack of concern for this, almost like this is common for them.Complaining people who just want something for nothing right? No wrong I paid for a character cake, and that’s not what I got.

First off I never really leave reviews but I needed say something about my experience here. Went in to buy a king cake on the recommendation of a friend. The young lady working there did not even speak when I came in which I found odd since I was the only one in the store. They did not have the King Cake flavor I wanted. However, I still wanted to support the business so I purchased a piece carrot cake. I had to ask her 3 times if she could assist since she was so busy on her phone. When I went to eat it I was not even able to bite it since it was that stale! Not a great first impression from a potential customer that could have generated this business a lot of revenue in sales.

First time experience with Andria’s Bakery was not so good. The only reason I went to this bakery is because I was out doing errands and my kids were hungry. I asked the cashier how much are 6 donuts? It seems she had to take a wild guest to give me a price and there are no menu or prices listed in the bakery. I ended up purchasing 7 donuts and a drink and I feel the price for 7 donuts were overpriced. I also ask for napkins. The cashier forgot that quick about napkins and come to find out they don’t have any for their customers. I received a few rolls of hand paper towels. This bakery needs to improve on professionalism and customer service. Will not be going back.

  • Mechall Brown

Not quite ready for next level cake decorating. Extremely over priced for what is promised and what was delivered. If you want something quick that you can get anywhere this is the place. Shop around for your fancier cake purchases. To make matters worse, my cake was supposed to be ready at 8:00 am. My daughter arrives at 9:00 and was told to come back in 30 minutes. Someone else goes to pick up my cake and it still wasn't ready. The cake was delivered to my function 1.5 hours after it started. So disappointed!! Customer service was good and some money was refunded but still was overpriced for what I received. This used to be my favorite bakery. Sorry Adrian.

  • Stacye McBride

This was my very first time using Adrian's and I was not disappointed. They worked with me to narrow my selections, and gave me the best price. I had orders to pick up on two different days, and they were ready for pick up when I arrived. I want to compliment the extremely patient staff since I wasn't really clear in my direction, but they worked with me. I ordered am almond white cake and 80 Mardi Gras cupcakes. They were loved by all of my guests. On a sidenote: I bought three red velvet cupcakes, and they were the TRUTH !!! Without hesitation, I offer my sincerest recommendation. I will use them again for all of the events I plan in the NOLA area.

We traveled from Houston to visit New Orleans. This bakery was listed on the New Orleans website as a good spot to get king cake. We ordered two cakes 2 days before pick up and they insisted we pay before we pick up the order over the phone. when we came to pick it up they had no idea about the whereabouts of our order. We waited 45 minutes while the attended made various calls and at the end she said they may have given our cakes away to another customer with a different order. Very unprofessional and unreliable service. I would not recommend going there to buy a cake if you need it by a certain date.

If a “3” is middle of the road (not bad, not great) this place is a 1 or 2. Donuts are good but not fresh. I went at 6:30 am and they were firm/cold. Service is just ok. I’ve been 3times and each time, an employee vehicle was parked in the fire lane, blocking the entrance. The place is filthy. Floors, especially in Corners and along walls are disgusting. I couldn’t get a good pic but it was pretty unbelievable how filthy this place was. Walls need painting. It feels like they don’t care about cleanliness. Krispy Kreme delivers via app so that will be my go to until Adrian’s gets better.

  • Debra Renee Dorseau

We drove all the way from Slidell La just to try their desert only to see them close the doors as we were walking up 10 minutes prior to 2:00 which is the time listed on google. I knocked on the door explained how far we driven the guy at the door replied that he didn’t care. What he didn’t know is I was considering placing a big order for several hundred people on the 4th of July and wanted to try a few of their items, I wanted to support a minority owned business but not this one. Horrible customer service. I’ll give my thousands to someone who gives better service.

  • nesha carter

We ordered a custom cake from Adrian's its pretty on the outside bt the inside was DRY AF. Couldnt taste the almond flavor. The inside wasnt even white like we ordered it thats how we know it was gonna be terrible. It taste like a stale store bought cake it didnt even have that fresh cake smell like you get when you buy from Antoine's.. This was a waste of $120 when we coulda got this cake from Antoine's for $90. We NEVER buying from yall again. This our first and last time here. Yall didnt even deserve 1 star. They must pay people for good reviews cause I dnt see it.

  • Kay J

This was my first visit to the bakery since pre Katrina. They were out of regular glazed, so I purchased one jelly and two buttermilk drops. I wasn't greeted when I walked in or by the owner as he walked out and only one customer was making a purchase in the store. Unfortunately, the donuts were not good and the jelly inside tasted funny and has a weird texture. The buttermilk drops tasted more like vanilla cake batter and was white and not the buttermilk flavor. Giving 2 stars because I was hoping for the nostalgia of pre katrina or better.

  • Keva “Hope”

I brought 3 packs of these cinnamon rolls to take back to Texas, I wish I would have gotten more. They were amazing, they melt in your mouth. They remind me of my childhood going to Mckenzie bakery with my Grandma. I will be going back. Oh the jelly filled donuts oh my goodness. The customer service was good, both the young man and lady that was working in there was very kind, even when I called to inquire about the time they close and if they had cinnamon rolls, the young man was very respectful and I appreciate that.

  • Gina Williams

I've been getting King Cakes from here for the past 3 years. Their cakes are amazing, but their service isn't very good. Every year I've ordered a King cake days before I needed it. I get there and no one can ever find the order, then i have to wait for them to either A. wait an hour for them to bake the cake or B. wait for them to pull something off of the shelf that s houldve already been waiting for me to pickup. I can't continue to support them if I can't get basic customer service.

  • Cortez Jonas

My favorite bakery in New Orleans. Whenever I come back home this the only bakery I go to in the city. I mainly go for the cinnamon rolls cause they are so good & for Mardi Gras the King Cakes are really good too. Every time I’ve been whatever I bought it was good no complaints but the only thing I would be cautious about is ordering online & having it delivered to your house cause sometimes it may get smushed or the icing may smear depending on what you order.

  • Peppa Pig

Just Recently I Ordered A Custom Minnie Mouse Cake For My Three Year Old Baby. Need I Say The Cake Was Horrible. It Seemed Like It Was A Old Cake Decorated With Minnie Mouse On The Outside. The Cake Cost Was $128.31. This Bakery Should Be Shut Down. I Will Never Ever Go To Adrian's Bakery Again In Life. That Was My First & Last Time Going To That Place.

  • Lakyia Lewis

Whatever you do, do not order from this bakery! Horrible customer services and untimely delivery on there product. You try and support our people businesses and then they in turn do stuff like not have things ready. They are a horrible excuse for a bakery. You let your customer service our shine you talent for your craft! Y’all have to go better!

  • Brittni Bynum

So grateful for this place. We were out of towners in desperate need of two king cakes with every store closed! First, the nice gentleman answered the phone and he wasn't open. He told us we could stop by anyway, and was super nice. We look forward to trying our cake. Thank you so much!!!! Keep up the kindness, it made for a great day.

  • Taisha Law

I will never order from them again I ordered a cake from them May 12, 2017 it was fresh and good then I ordered a cake from them for May 28, 2017 the cake was pretty but did not taste how it looked the cake was not fresh at all it was like a 2 day old cake so I lost out on $65 dollars they got to do better then that

  • Norman Viljoen

This place normally has delicious little treats to have with your coffee. Today we stopped, the offerings in the cake display looked rather sad. We asked if the carrot was fresh, and were assured it was. What a disappoint as this carrot cake was old and stodgy. Why spoil our coffee time and just be honest.

  • Ted Gould III

Hadn’t had a donut in over a year. Really wanted a donut. The Lady behind the counter was curt and barley spoke. Then someone else came in, it was a white lady, the lady behind the counter perked up, wide smile… Just disappointed. Oh well, I guess it’ll be another couple of years before I get a donut.

  • Sundairose

Order 12 donuts through door dash only got 11. Missing my 3 glazed donuts. Received 4 unknown donuts instead of the 4 twisted I ordered. Jelly donuts where originally glazed but powdered over to look like powdered donuts only received 1 twisted. If you didn’t have it you should have canceled my order

  • Resa B

The pastries are good, but the donuts are always cold. And the prices are ridiculously way higher now. I hate the fact they never have prices on their products, so it's like they make up prices for you on the fly. I've been twice in one week and paid two different prices on the same cinnamon rolls.

  • B Johnson

Purchased a praline cake to celebrated my father's birthday. The store was quite unappealing. Trash was scattered on floor and I do believe there was mold on inside of display case. My sister still wanted to patronize the place so we purchased the cake. The cake was tasty, hope we don't get sick!

  • Michelle Mcdaniel (Real is Rare)

Extremely disappointed is beyond words I paid $37.00 on DoorDash to receive 2 dozen glazed donuts and strawberry shortcake cup which I received no complaints on that part but I ordered 2 dozen and only received just 2 glazed donuts not 2 dozen as I ordered, I won’t be ordering from them again.

  • Gina Dore

We were in New Orleans for the weekend, by chance found this bakery!! Well everything was sooo very good. The freshness, taste, quality, even price. I come from a family of bakers, Duet's Bakery in Golden Meadow Louisiana. A big shout out to Adrians Bakery--Thank You will be back.

  • artemis jackson

My baby shower was perfect, and the cake was a large part of that! Each person my mom and I talked to were so sweet, and the cake was absolutely delicious! I just wished I could include a picture here. My son's first birthday is coming up, and I'll be buying from them again!

  • anshunti ambrose

I went into the bakery to try the mini sweet potato Pie. It was not fresh tasted as if it had been sitting in the fridge or freezer for a long time. How can you go wrong with a mini sweet potato pie. I have not returned since that experience. And I will not return.

  • Angela Boyd

Adrian's usually has a good selection of cakes and pastries. Glazed donuts are fresh and hot in the mornings. Love the strawberry shortcake. They also sell fresh king cakes with all sorts of fillings. The praline cupcakes are also great.

  • Arikdefrasia

I've had a few different king cakes since living here; Rouse's, Nonna Randazzo, Dong Phuong and now Adrian's. Adrian's was by far the best. Edit: I guess it was a fluke, because the next two king cakes weren't that great.

  • Murlena Williams

Family Ordered a cake and was so excited about it, just for them to rush the icing because they were mad they didn’t have it ready on time. Horrible work, looks sloppy!

Stale/dry cupcakes on Friday, September 30, 2022. My first bad experience with Adrian’s. I usually get king cakes from here and I’ve always had great experiences. Very disappointed and probably won’t return.

  • Anita DeGrave

I was surprised with a praline pound cake. It is the best pound cake I have ever tasted. The cake is moist and not too sweet. The praline glaze has a real praline flavor. It doesn't just taste like "sweet"

  • Cedric W.

I had the best experience in this bodega. The pastries was so amazing I gotten a little of everything cake ,lemon pie, cookies Etc . It was all good. I’m having a blueberry muffin ordered for breakfast.

I ordered this cake on a Friday & received it on the following Wednesday after it being shipped on Monday. I was so excited for this since being out of state due to the storm. It was PERFECT!

  • Dandrea Taylor

The cake was very poorly put together and was hard as a brick...If you want freshly baked and good quality work..this is not the bakery to go too...you will be very disappointed trust me...

  • Zippy Scott

Next hands down no complaints..... I've been dealing with them for years and never a mess up maybe an order not ready on time but they always delivered it to my destination when it was done

  • R. W. Adams

IMHO Adrian's has the best king cake in the city. I came in from Honduras and this was one of my first stops. I only get king cakes from there. Miss the Westbank location being open.

  • Freddie Young

Very unprofessional and the customer service is horrible and their attitudes need to be much better towards the customers. Remember without us there is no Adrian's Bakery.

  • Victor Ilarraza

Visited this place during a field trip. The staff was very friendly and everyone was very oriented on what they were doing as well as taking care of the customers.

  • Accounting Velocity

When the owner of a business doesn't address the complaints of their customers, which is evident by his lack of commenting on this blog, I wouldn't waste my time.

  • Bettie Antonio

Used to love the place. Attitude of the people (owners) so nasty there is nothing they could sell or taste so good that would make go there over two years now

  • Mike Elliott

Y’all stuffed a half of dozen mixed donuts in one bag instead of putting them in a box , that’s horrible!.. besides that’s the doughnuts we’re good …

  • Dina's Domain

I do not know why this place is still open. Poor service and there was mold in the center of my cake. They didn't make it right, just plenty of attitude.

  • Lu T. Williams

I ordered 100 cupcakes for the teachers and staff at the Bricolage Academy. They were delivered as ordered. Give a shout out to April! Thank you, April.

  • Nat Beebee (Sunshine)

I love this bakery! The pastries are the best that I’ve had in some years. The cashiers are never rude. I’m hooked on the strawberry short cakes here.

  • LaTanya Valdery

Hubby and I visit here ever weekend. The owner and his wife are really nice people. Pastries are good, customer service is awesome. We love it here

  • Penny Johnson

I love their white cakes with chocolate icing. They are so fresh and moist and their praline cakes are great. Anyone that hasn't tried one should
