For folks in Bengaluru, Albert Bakery is as legendary as it could get ! I have lived in this city for more than a decade now and I don’t know why or how I did not end up going here, but I finally did visit. The place opens at around 3 pm and people start trickling in as soon as they are open which is the reason why some of the items run out well before their closing time The bakery is in the Frazer Town Area and I arrived early evening to satisfy my post lunch pre-dinner cravings. Here is how it went – Chicken Seekh Kebab – This was served piping hot, yes they microwave before serving but this was a new batch when I ordered and came in fresh. Kebab was loaded with Chicken and every bite was meaty and fulfilling. This got me going for sure ! Mutton Samosa – Ask anyone what is a must have here and this will be top of the list. They have both regular and mini Samosa’s. I wanted more of it and went with the regular one but somehow it did not click with me. I got more onion’s than mutton and it was more oily than I expected. Maybe I got the wrong one that day ! Chicken Cutlet – One more non-veg item to try and this time it was Cutlet. Again very generous on the meat with shredded chicken stuffed to max. Very satisfied with this one as well. I was told the Khova Naan is another best seller here and considering it is not something that one person can hog on, ordered it for take-away along with some Aloo Bonda’s. Both did not disappoint and did live up to the hype! Service is quick.

This is my first time here, heard so much about it.....and luckily there timings have changed after Covid and are open till late. When it's so old and so much hyped, that one would expect perfection. But we just found it ok. The very famous Mutton samosa was not seasoned well and pretty oily. The mini puffs didn't have any filling just dry pastry covering. The Chicken cutlets where really nice and meaty. we picked up quite a bit to eat later which were packed in brown covers, by the time we reached home and opened it, there was heaps of oil soaked by the cover and the snacks had all become soggy. The people who were serving and packing where doing in there bare hands, found it very unhygienic . In these time little cleanliness should be maintained.

An heritage bakery in Bangalore. Very well known and famous in this part of the city. A small place but with great options. Whatever is made is made great and tastes great. Value for money as well. Currently due to Covid restrictions temperature check is being done and only few are allowed at a time. A good move when most of the others have started to relax a bit. Tried the mayo chicken sandwich and was great. Also tried the small mutton samosa’s and that too was lovely. Timings is 3PM to 7PM only. Need to go there again and try few more stuff. Parking is in front the of bakery but finding parking is a little difficult. Overall a good place and has to be tried to know what it really feel the taste and vibes of Albert Bakery.

At last.. Made it to the mosque street, Frazer town, one of the culinary heavens for non vegetarians.. Albert Bakery - a legendary hole in the wall joint famed mainly for its mutton samosas, Kheema naans and Khova naans.. Relished the first two and packed the third one for home, as they are vegetarians during the sacred month. Delivered fresh and warm. Believe me friends. The stuffings in these signature dishes were truly delicious and one of the best I had the privilege to taste. One star less because there is not adequate space to sit and eat. Otherwise the quality of the products certainly deserve 5 star rating. Its not very expensive too, taking into account the excellent quality of the items, and the portion sizes.

  • zumair

heard quite a lot about this place you'll get old and traditional vibes as you enter the bakery the interior is the same from when it was started i'm sure tasted the chicken puff , mutton samosa anf khova naan 1. chicken puff - really thin and crispy wafer outside , juicy stuffing within. 2. mutton samosa - they're not that typical type samosas they're one bite samosa which just won't fill your heart "a must try". 3. khova naan - served straight from the oven the khova is still soft buttery and hot the wafer is thin and crisp. "very oily and heavy on stomach but tastes really good" only reason i gave 4stars is because this place is a bit heavy on pocket. a "MUST VISIT" place

Albert Bakery is a popular destination for food lovers in Bangalore. Established in 1950, it is one of the oldest bakeries in the city and has a loyal customer base. Albert Bakery is famous for its mutton samosas, plum cakes, dilkush and other delicacies. The bakery is run by the third generation of the Albert family, who have maintained the quality and taste of their products over the years. The bakery attracts a large crowd of customers every evening, who queue up to buy their favorite items. Albert Bakery is not only a place to enjoy delicious food, but also a place to experience the history and culture of Bangalore.

PSA: DO NOT MAKE ANY ONLINE PAYMENTS TO THE NUMBER CLAIMING TO BE ALBERT BAKERY ON GOOGLE MAPS. IT IS A SCAM!! I am a long time fan and customer of the bakery, and even appreciate the fact that they only accept cash like the old days. Recently, I got scammed by somebody pretending to be the owner on Google Maps. The "Chat" button has been hijacked by a scammer who asks for online payments, saying that home delivery is available. Took 1.5k and disappeared. I hope the owners complain to Google Maps and provide the correct number. Until then, I hope nobody else falls for this.

My Wife took me here saying this place has been there since her childhood and that they sell some delicious food. I was impressed with her assessment. Truly delicious and very affordable. The service was super quick too. Only downside is there isn't any place to sit and eat as it's just one tiny outlet. Truly try this place.

I recently visited Albert Bakery and was thoroughly impressed by the authentic taste of their food items. The bakery's commitment to using fresh ingredients really shines through in every bite. From their delectable cakes to their mouthwatering snacks, each item had a distinct flavor that transported me back to the traditional bakeries of my childhood. The friendly staff and cozy ambiance only added to the wonderful experience. I can't wait to return and indulge in more of their delightful creations!

  • Tejas Rege

It's just fine. Nothing special. I've had far better Chicken Samosas almost everywhere. The filling has less chicken and more of the other stuff. Never felt like I was eating a chicken Samosa. Khova Naan is good but too sweet for my taste. But I'm willing to disagree on that. It is different from whatever I've had before. It's best had hot/warm. The packing is nice, the people are polite ( surprise surprise) for an old, iconic place. Nice experience as a one time thing. Would not recommend again.

  • Soubia Syed

I've been a constant customer and have loved their food but now they've ruined the quality of the products, prior to covid the taste was so good and the quality was maintained, but now they have just increased the prices with poor food quality, kova Naan has barely any kova in it and the mutton samosas just have onions and no minced mutton at all, the taste is so bad, everything on the menu is highly priced but not worth a penny, highly disappointing and would never recommend them.

  • Udit Bhatia

Visited the legendary outlet during the month of Ramadan. It was a struggle to even enter the place. People literally swarmed this tiny shop as it opened post lunch time. By the time I huffed and puffed my way to the counter, the chicken cutlet was out of stock. However, got my hands on the mutton samosas and chicken puffs. The puffs are heavenly, apparently the best I've tasted in a long time A visit here is like bumping into a history lesson

  • Roy Varghese

Edit - Their hygiene is pretty bad. The place is infested with roaches. I recommend avoiding the place for health reasons. It's ok. Their samosas and naans are good. As well as their buns and bread. The rest is just average. They aren't cheap, but my biggest gripe is that they're cash only. That's quite an achivement in today's circumstances, and I don't mean that in a good way.

The food had gone bad and was stale. On October 23, I placed an order for more than Rupees 2,000 worth of bakery food products, including mutton puffs, Keema samosas, veg samosas, and brain puffs, based on the ratings and youtube reviews. I'll never advise anyone to purchase anything from Albert Bakery. We kindly ask youtubers to refrain from endorsing such bakeries to the general audience.

  • dave roul

Very bad unbelievable service no one is asking or taking order even though only 2 or 3 customer are standing. I waited for 5 minutes and went. I don't know about the taste of their food. But I know they do bad service, taste and quality are secondary. They won't take and digital or card payments, they take only coins, currency.. Just to not show in accounts. For Taxes maybe.

  • KcanaraMan Koli

Albert Bakery in Bangalore is a must-visit for anyone who loves good and quality bakery items. This bakery is very old and famous. Once you enter you will get aroma of freshly baked foods which fills the air. They have samosas, chicken puffs, khova naan, aflatoon, brain and other items. I tried brain puff and khova naan. Both were good, khova naan was really delicious.

  • SHABZ KHAN

Khowa or mutton keema naan are good. Also tried there bakery duo cake slice, loved those slices. Fruity buns, nice to try it fresh. For people concerned with hygiene, alert they don't use any hand gloves or tong to pick and put the items. ONLY CASH, they don't except digital payment, neither cards. That was a negative point for a busy & iconic outlet in Bangalore.

  • Souvik Maiti

Albert bakery is in Fazer town, bangalore. Its a good place for snacks. Different non veg puffs are available here. Mostly famous for it's mutton brain puff and mutton samosa, also chicken puffs are very tasty. Apart from this you will find different kind of biscuits, cakes and sweets over here. Overall the taste is very good. And the price is very reasonable.

  • Rajiv Gopinath

Went in April during the Ramadan season. Clearly the bheja puffs are the top selling item. The bheja puffs are available at 3 pm. They get over first amongst all their items. So be there a bit early if you want the Bheja puffs specifically. I picked up a kilo of the mini chicken samosas. They don't take wallet or UPI payments, so make sure you have cash.

  • Bhavya

Legendary bakery in the town. Mutton samosa, chicken puffs and brain puff is mouthwatering. Been to this place from years and they have never compromised with taste. You can never go wrong with this place. Choose anything from their menu, you will never be dissatisfied. There is no sit out. You either have to grab a quick bite or just takeaway.

  • Kevin Alex

This place has stood there for more than a century and still adorns a retro name board, run by a Muslim family. I remember visiting since my school days. Special festive items are dished out during Ramzan , Easter, Christmas etc. On other days people throng there for their mutton cocktail samosas sold by the kilo or Khova Naan or Bheja puffs

  • Polite Paul

A historic place. It is known for special items like brain puffs, khoa naan and muyton samosas. It is a very small shop and usually crowded. The items you buy will be packed for you and the amount you have to pay is written and given in a bit of paper. You can redeem your purchase when you pay the money at the counter and show the paper.

  • sheik dawood

Visited Albert Bakery after too much of hype and expectations. But, disappointed with the quality of items. The mutton puff stuffing was not even worth, no mutton pieces at all, but priced ₹.30. The outer layer was not so cooked properly, maida effect was high.. Things were fancy in terms of name, but not worth the price or taste.

It was good but not up to the hype. Their kova naan was good but we can't eat it fully because of the sweetness. Their chicken cheese puffs were really good. Mutton Brian buff and mutton keema samosa were the best-selling here. I've seen people getting samosas in kgs. It's not that good but we can try it once.

  • Hari Vaishnav

A bakery you can try out for a variety of snacks like Chicken & Mutton Samosa, Chicken Swiss Roll and other sweets. The old is gold quote is true with taste being good with decent pricing. I would recommend this place to friends or family who want to try out some fancy snacks to relieve their hunger.

  • Hansel Themudo

A must visit place if you are in bangalore and a person who cant stop drooling over a khova naan. The chicken samosas and mutton samosa were scrumptious as well. That being said, I don't think a true foodie would mind hogging up all the items displayed at the counter.****Do Try the KHOVA NAAN****

  • SeIzaan

The products are amazing. I just love ❤ to have things from there, But i would request for an online payment method to be available.

Love the brain puffs here, they only make them during Ramzan. A big minus is the fact that they only accept cash payments, so it's impossible to get dunzo/genie to pick up an order from here. I had to drive to Frazer town only because of this, and parking in the area is not easy to find.

  • Hashim Ashi

Bought Mutton Samosa and Chicken Cutlet. Me personally find the mutton samosa to be just a standard one and not as expected. Maybe it's just todays one. The chicken cutlet was very tast, juicy, and flavors of curry leaves and light hint of pudheena i felt, overall that's a great cutlet.

  • Ayaz Sikendar

Payment Options: While the bakery excels in product quality, it’s worth suggesting that they consider offering card payment options. Many customers nowadays prefer using cards for convenience and safety, and it would be beneficial for the bakery to adapt to this modern payment method.

  • Sohini Sen

The brain/bheja puff is a must must try - so tasty & unique! So is the khova naan - what a dessert! You need to visit this place if you're in Bangalore - totally one of the must-dos. Note, their speciality items get over quickly in the afternoon/evening. So better to reach early.

  • Rehman B'lore

This bakery is the oldest one and it's almost around 120 years, which is been run by Muslim family 4th generation businessman. Bakery as range of delicious delicacies affordable with lip-smacking desserts and very famous for main items, especially khova naan, cocktail samosa.

  • Dr. Nivedita Ghosh

Albert bakery! Such an iconic place and well worth the hype. Their mutton samosas are super famous and their puffs! So we tried their mutton samosa, veg samosa, puffs and buns, all were so so good. Freshly made and very well priced! Must visit. Food: 5/5 Value for money: 5/5

  • Sahadev Chincholikar

Heard a lot about it so visited it last week. Their highlights are definitely the Mutton Samosas, but more than that, the Mutton Cutlets - They are ridiculously good. Also tried the Mutton Kheema Naan which was good, but super heavy on the tummy. Missed trying their Puffs.

  • whymozu

One of the oldest & the best bakeries in the city. The Egg Pudding is a must try. The food is on a bit expensive side, but it's worth it. There is no parking space, specially for 4 wheelers. 2 wheelers, you can adjust and park infront of the bakery, with other vehicles.

  • rajesh R

Slightly overrated. In the past there were very few bakeries providing quality items. Now we could find even better bakeries at a cheaper price. Here the puffs are small and the price is high.. However it is located in a prime locality and therefore could give a try.

  • Rahul Gupta

Not overhyped at all like what I see in other reviews! I tried the veg puff & the cake - Puffs are super crisp & absolutely love the flavour coming from north India, this is the best puff I've had in Bangalore. the cake was also super soft & nice! Highly recommend.

  • Kamlesh RC

Love the chicken samosa and Mutton. Also the khoya pratha is amazing. It is a sweet pratha that has some sweet milk in the middle that is so addictive. Recommended for the other dishes. This is a classic place that has survived years with a lot of delicious snacks.

  • Habeeba Abubaker

Their pastries are quite good. We get a selective variety of connections here. The staff is nice. The only downside to the way they run things here is - cash transactions. They only accept payments in cash and that can be an issue sometimes in this time and age.

  • Ranjith Reddy

Go here only if you want to indulge your tastebuds. Not for the calorie conscious one. Must try: Kova Naan, Keema Samosa. Everything comes with basic packing in paper. Only cash is accepted (perhaps the only shop I visited with such restriction in recent years).

  • shashank hegde

Had Mutton puffs/Samosa and Ande ki mithai(Egg pudding). The place literally stinks. Not sure if this is the case on all days but definitely not worth the hype. Came here watching a YouTube video, My trust on these so called food vloggers is waning day by day.

  • Radhakrishna P

Very limited items, tried veg samosa, chicken samosa. Their chicken samosa is the best. Naan piece has too much of sweetness. Only cash payment is a big drawback. UPI, card payment, come on guys. We are in 2022. Parking is available for 2 wheelers only.

  • Ms Cha

Worth the hype for its authentic taste at such reasonable prices. Its a tiny iconic place with big heart. Must visit for their mutton samosas and chicken puffs. They only accept cash no upi transactions and beware no parking space on this busy road

It is true that it is one of the oldest bakery in Bangalore with lot of fame. My opinion is if you do not care at all about hygiene and oil content (& oil quality). … I will say you can go have the stuff till you could fill your stomach

  • Seema Ramdasan

Recently when visited this, I felt the quality had deteriorated. I even saw small cocroaches running around and showed the person packing the items who kicked it off. Also they only take cash and is not mentioned anywhere in the shop

One Stop for those Samosa lovers. Their special is, "Khova Naan". Do not miss that, it's a must to taste. Non veg Samosa, rolls, cutlet, cakes, biscuits, cookies, etc are few of the other items. Location is at Mosque road. … ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು

I always visit this bakery during Ramadan. The most sold dish here is khoya naan, which is yummy. During Ramadan, you will find bheja fry, keema naam, keema samosa and chicken samosa. You need to visit it once to try khoya naan

  • Hemant G

Over hyped over price not as expected As soon as you get in they say only cash When you select one to eat they inform you the price you will be sell shocked, May be vintage.. one star worth! Ulsoor BP bakery is far better

  • Mathew D'sa

Went in once and won't buy anything again. Don't seem big on hygiene. I actually saw them hold a baking tray out and a customer touched the food and put it back. They then took the tray back inside while the customer left.

  • Yashwanth Sharma

There will be few places where we visit again and again. This is one of such very old traditional bakeries. Try Khova Naan, their signature dish and it's one of the best. The only problem is this bakery opens at 15:00.

  • Imran Sayyed

Mutton samosa had everything it seemed except mutton. Chicken roll was ok. Only cash place this is, It becomes inconvenience to customers. They ask take cash from ATM. So somewhere it felt that customer is not valued.

One of the oldest bakeries in Bangalore serving some super delicious baked stuff. I loved the sugar donuts , and the cake. The chocolate croissant was delicious and the chicken puff. Definitely a must try …

But costlier. But you should visit this place atleast once in your lifetime. I tasted Kheema Samosa which was delicious. To my surprise, this place accepts only cash... Digital India is miles away at this place.

One of the most iconic bakeries in Bangalore. Must try their keema somasa and puff. Too pocket friendly and the fresh bread you get here is yum. Do come early around 3-4 pm as the shop is sold out on stuff soon

  • Afrid Ahmed

A very old and relatively unknown place for new folks in Bangalore but a must visit. The puffs and the naans are to die for. A word of caution please take cash as they don't accept any other modes of payment

  • Nausheen M

The variety of items available is good and the quality of the food is excellent. The only downside is that the bakery is often crowded and there is no proper billing counter. Payments must be made in cash.

  • Mohammed Shabuddin

The best bakery in town with lip smacking delicacies. You will love to come back again and again to this bakery and will never mind spending some extra cash for tastiest and delicious sweets and savouries.
