I am a huge cake addict and I would not eat a bite if it's not worth it, because let's be honest, there are too many good cakes out there to eat bad cakes. A passionate baker myself Almond Bakery cakes are the ONLY cakes I would order when I have no time to bake myself. So there we are, the Napoleon with Pistachio and raspberries is a dream. If I could - I would eat it every day. Caramel Oreshki are perfection with the perfect amount of filling. It's everyone's favourite, Slavic origin or not. Kartoshka is great. The honey cake is delicious. Nothing is too buttery (I hate when cakes are filled with thick buttercream). The service is another story, I have always been able to get cakes delivered for "suddenly occuring" birthdays (it's every year but yet somehow it's always a surprise). The team was always super helpful and made every last minute request happen. The driver who delivers cakes is super polite and very nice. This is a top notch female founded and led business worth supporting if not just for the sake of more cakes in our Amsterdam lives.

Спробували горішки, трубочки, профітролі з чорницею, пельмені та вареники з картоплею та грибами. На жаль, начинка в пельменях була без солі, тож навіть досолювання води в процесі варки не зробило їх не прісними. Вареники більше нагадали пєрогі з польського магазину за виключенням того, що у варениках тісто краще. Профітролі були більше сметанковими та через це кислими, ніж чорничними, хоча виглядають звісно дуже мило. Трубочки хороші, але тіста забагато, як на мене. А от горішки — найсмачніші, що я куштувала за все життя, це просто рай! Мені загалом радили саме горішки в цьому закладі, але вирішила спробувати ще багато чого, на жаль, нічого не вразило, окрім тих самих горішків, тому буду брати надалі лише їх, мабуть

Owner acts very hypocritical, as far as I have seen. They promote the bakery as “Ukrainian owned”, but I've only seen the other party there. And she does so much to appeal to that auditory. Very disgraceful. And to do this in the Netherlands, at that. Workers looked overworked and underpayed. Which, I wouldn't be surprised if it were true. Will never come here again, and I highly suggest you don't, too. One time I came, Medovik tasted in one way, the other time — absolutely differently. So much for “developed” recipes. Jesus, I'd get better Slavic pastry from actual Ukrainian bakeries

I am familiar with Almond Bakery for a few years now and I can say with certainty that it is one of the BEST places with desserts you can find in Amsterdam. It's inspired by Eastern European culture - you can find some of the most classic Eastern European cakes and sweets here. At the same time, it constantly develops and adds some novelty to its products. The quality is top-notch, throughout all these years. The staff is kind. Overall, it is a delicious, friendly, and warm place. Definitely recommend!

Ну что сказать! Я ни разу не попробовала самые вкусные орешки с варенной сгущенкой, ни разу не пробовала наполеона или еще какой всячины известной в этой чудной пекарни…но знаю точно одно. Человек, который проложил такой путь к тому, что сейчас имеет не можете не получить 5 звезд!!! Это только одно удовольствие читать их историю, и следить за их развитием! Очень советую! А как только получиться, я обязательно загляну и наконец попробую самый вкусные орешки в Амстердаме ❤️

The owner is Ukrainian and she started baking in her home. Now almond bakery is open to visit in the Jordaan. Cakes and cookies are a must try. Not too sweet, but definitely a treat! High quality ingredients and freshness are keywords. So at the end of the day you may find many items sold out. Follow almond bakery on Instagram and reserve your cake of choice. Special decorations can be pre-ordered. Coffee is good and if you want to try a milk coffee go for Raf-lavender.

Always a pleasant surprise! I don’t know much about the traditional cuisine nor the names of everything, but I’m in love with every cake, eclair and other desserts you can find there! I really recommend it! Only downside is the small space.

Honey Cake, Pistachio Pavlova Cake en Napoleon Cakes

Desperately in love with these desserts!!! My super strong recommendation is Nutties-Oreshki (confusingly it does not contain nuts), syrki and choc-cherry cake. They also do fantastic cakes for events and celebrations. The only downside is that you might gain some weight but trust me it totally worth it!! Weight you can lose by going to TrainMore but memories about these amazing desserts will stay with you forever!

Very disappointing and overpriced napoleon with chocolate and cherry. The layers are soggy and not crispy at all. Not fresh if you ask me. I ended up picking the cake apart to just eat the chocolate layers and cherries. The taste of chocolate was mediocre too. I felt like eating a dessert from a supermarket. I wouldn’t be so mad if this cake costs less than 4 euros, but it costs 7 euro. It’s just not worth it.

Absolutely wonderful staff! As a delivery bike rider I made a delivery at the bakery on a hot day, as I walked in I was welcomed by the enchanting smell of the baked goods. I asked if I could buy something to share with my coworkers and they offered me a full bag of delicious pastries free of charge!! They tasted amazing too, I highly recommend you visit the almond bakery and it’s kind staff.

Hidden gem in Amsterdam! Super delicious and beautiful cakes, eclairs and other pastries! I always go there to pick something up when we go to visit friends or family and it’s always a success! Everyone, kids and adults, absolutely love it! I specifically recommend the Honey cake, eclairs and caramel filled nuts! Super friendly stuff too!

July 2022 This small bakery has some real fine pastry. I tried the honey cake. It's quite a piece you get. But it's also define. You taste the honey but it ain't to sweet. Will try the rest soon. They also serve coffee. And with the roads closed for certain traffic they probably get a lot new customers;-)

A tiny cute shop baking desserts and cakes of almond, as it states in the name. One of the best desserts I have ever had. There is no seating available. They also make coffee. You can grab their cookies and some coffee, and happily eat them while you are walking around the canals.

Kyiv cake wasn’t tasty and was nothing like an original one. Maybe other cakes taste better though. I guess this place is popular not because of quality/taste of their cakes, but because there is no competition in Amsterdam for this style of Eastern European cakes.

That’s the best bakery ever! Every piece of cake is just a masterpiece. But the best thing there is “oreshki”. I seriously have my doubts about how legal it is to sell them because they are extremely addictive )) Long story short: try it, you won’t be disappointed

I send messages 3 time to ask if you can make me a birthday cake , could not get any response, I send messages on different time en days to make sure they receive it but still no response, total unprofessional way , not customer friendly at all

I ordered some custom cakes from Australia for my fiancé's birthday party in Amsterdam. Hanna was so helpful and the cakes were delivered right on time as promised. They also looked and tasted beautiful (from what I am told) :-)

My friend gifted me a box of nutties for my birthday, and oh boy, they taste absolutely divine! I've been on the hunt for the finest bakery in Amsterdam, and I believe I've finally discovered the perfect spot to visit.

Cake (~6e/slice) is pretty good, not too sweet and many layers of texture. My friend and I come back for them all the time. It’s a small space with a single bench outside. Have to be careful I don’t visit too often…!

I haven’t been to the bakery yet, but I used to order the cakes with home delivery. Every time everything was perfect! Napoleon, medovnik and nut shaped cookies. It made our celebrations spectacular.
