This hotel is a good option if you want a hip and convenient accommodation outside of downtown. Overall our experience was enjoyable. However, I do have some feedback that might be helpful. The hotel is designed to appeal to a younger or more modern-minded patron. The decor is a mix of urban chic and environmentally friendly features, with references to Austin music and technology. This result is cool decorative touches, wide open hard surfaces, and minimalism. As a result, the room itself isn’t quite as “warm”. The laminate floors create echoes in the room for every little sound. Add to that the energy-saving mini-split AC unit (that cycles to a complete stop instead of running the fan - and thereby offering some white noise at night), the sleeping experience leaves a lot to be desired. We heard constant noise inside and outside of the room all night long. The lobby and bar are very cool and a great spot for hanging out. There is a pool table and plenty of games and music for entertainment. The bartender and drinks were top notch. But again, the design kills the mood slightly. There are bright overhead LED lights everywhere, which (again) kills the warmth you might prefer in a lounge experience. You kind of feel like you’re under a spotlight the entire time. The lighting issue even crosses over into the rooms. The wall lights (3 of them) in our room didn’t work. We were left to the bedside lamp, which is literally a bright LED light bulb with a black metal shroud that didn’t diffuse the light at all. We either had to use it, the bright overhead bathroom light, or the TV. Not very warm or sexy, if you catch my drift. The room kind of felt like a hostel or a slightly cozier extended-stay hospital room. The Re:Fuel cafe downstairs was a little misleading. All of the menu items were not available when we were there. Neither was breakfast, which was pretty underwhelming. Instead, there was a variety of packaged foods (“healthy” chips and granola bars, etc) available for snacking. Probably want to call ahead if you plan on relying on food at the hotel. The in room coffee setup had a lot of teas, two caffeinated coffee pods, and one decaf. Suggestion to the staff: more coffee, less tea. One cup of coffee per person was a bit of an eye rolling moment for us. Thankfully the “cafe” had fresh coffee for us to ferry up to our room. I’ll wrap up by stating once again that we did enjoy our stay, but our likelihood of staying here again is pretty low. Even if we do, we’ll come prepared to deal with noise, the bright lights, and the lack of food and coffee.

Brand new, huge, gorgeous! Plenty of well lit parking. The staff is GREAT! Checking in was a breeze. Wonderful experience so far with 2 more nights to go. I will update after checking out. I hated to leave this place so I ended up extending my reservation through the Christmas holiday. Everything was pretty much as good as it gets at an Aloft Hotel. One complaint that I see echoed throughout the reviews is about the excessive noise stemming from garbage pickup and I must say they are correct. It's very loud, very noisy, and at very late hours of the night. Another thing, the parking garage next to the hotel is not really accessible without walking way way out of your way. It is super clean and that also adds to the noise complaints. They were being cleaned super late one night by big vacuum trucks that could have woken the dead. Hopefully they get this under control very soon!

Biggest room I have ever had at an Aloft Hotel! Wonderful layout, beautiful artistic touches and your typical super long hallways, stand-up shower with the signature barndoor for the bathroom.

What a disappointment. We took our kids to Austin for a short summer vacation this past weekend and I purposely selected this hotel for the gorgeous swimming pool I saw in the photos. Unfortunately when we looked down at the pool from our room (after the kids already got into their swim gear) we saw that the pool was disgustingly dirty and green (compared to the hot tub). I had to tell them to change out of the swim wear and had to find some other activity in Austin for them to do which obviously made them extremely upset. I really wish hotels would disclose this information when you call to make a reservation so you could decide if that will cause you to sway your decision to stay or not. I hate that I had to spend extra money I didn’t plan on spending to entertain the kids all weekend because they couldn’t swim. We were all really looking forward to a fun filled weekend full of swim time at the hotel.

I live at the apartment across the street. I live across from ALoft’s dumpsters. For the past 5 weeks, 2-3x/week the trash gets picked up between 2:00 - 4:00 AM and it’s the most LOUD, DISTURBING AND DISRUPTING sound. It feels and sounds like an earthquake going off all while aggressive beeping occurs. IT WILL MOST CERTAINLY DISRUPT THE HOTEL GUEST’s SLEEP as well. I’ve kindly went and talked to the staff at the hotel and the apartment complex several times and there have been no results. DON’T STAY AT THIS HOTEL IF YOU VALUE YOUR SLEEP Because, I sure haven’t been able to get any lately. I talked to the city and they said it has to do with the hotel’s contract with the company that picks up the trash. Therefore someone chose to make this inconsiderate decision of having this occur in the middle of the night in a residential area. Legal action will be taken if results don’t occur ASAP

I stayed at this hotel for company meetings which included catered breakfast and lunch - really good food and service. The hotel is newish with unique touches including local legendary musicians artwork in the elevators. I had a few issues with my room including the fact that there's no clock. This is not okay when I have to be on time for early morning meetings. Having to check my phone interrupts and interferes with a good night's sleep! There's not an iron or board in the room so if you have wrinkled clothes your screwed (there's a steamer but it's worthless). There's a coffee maker (kuerig) however I only had tea and decaf - someone neglected to provide actual coffee (the first morning was rough). Hello? Housekeeping (knock, knock, knock)? Other than that, the staff was kind and friendly.

My daughter and I ended up being relocated here to the aloft after the other hotel we were staying had an emergency plumbing issue and boy were we in for a treat. Upon arrival we were greeted by Kaleea who went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of. Checking in was swift, our view was stellar, everything was impeccably clean and the amenities were plentiful. This place has it all, games, a pool table, bar, mini shopping area, everything's easily handicap accessable and the location is near enough to a pharmacy and shops.

First, I'd love to shout out the young woman at the front desk, Chelsea! She is nice, friendly, and a quick problem solver. If she didn't know the answer to an issue/question, she was prompt to figure it out. Easily one of the best check-in experiences for me. Next, I'd love to say how cute this property is! The rooms are absolutely charming and SO clean. Also, the location is very ideal for an introvert like me. It's close to plenty of food and major roads/highways to get you to your destination quickly. Yet it's still tucked away and quiet. This is a hidden gem, and I'll definitely be back for my future visits!

The Aloft Southwest Austin is very clean, modern and the staff is amazing. The staff is friendly, helpful and genuine. The bar was fun and the atmosphere is cool and modern. The food choices were yummy and paired well with my bourbon. The live music made it feel Very Austin.

Beautiful hotel, it must be new. It's in a queit location right near some apartments and a few businesses, so it's not near much in terms of shopping or restaurants in the immediate area, which can be both positive and negative. Nice gym. A few cute outdoor areas to sit, including a nice little pool but it wasn't open yet. There's a free parking garage, which is not attached. the spots seem to fill up fast during work hours, but it's nearly empty during the evening.

Fantastic hotel. Stayed here for work (wanting a spot that was easy to get to downtown from BUT, out of the way a bit from the hustle and bustle of SoCo and 6th) Couldn’t be happier! Staff is very friendly and the night desk clerk, Katy, was even kind enough to make sure I got my HydroFlask water bottle I forgot at the front desk at check-in! Couldn’t be happier with my stay!

This hotel is always a welcoming stay away from home. This was our second stay at Aloft and it never disappoints. The rooms are spacious and trendy. The lobby has a great variety of board games and activities for the whole family. We definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Austin! We appreciate all of the service that we received during our stay, especially from Anne and her team.

Unfortunately this hotel has not considered their guest’s sleep! Around 2:30-3AM I was abruptly woken up by extremely loud beeping and then violent banging. It seem they have contracted the garbage men to come at this hour?! Why?? It happened 3 x in 4 day period, two of which was on a week day impacting my work and then other on a Saturday when I was praying to catch up on this lost sleep. My mental health feels like it’s been negatively impacted by this experience. If sleeping is important to you. Do NOT stay at this hotel!!

We recently reserved a hotel block at Aloft Austin Southwest for our wedding weekend, and our experience was superb! The staff, particularly Stephen and Angeline, were so accommodating and easy to work with, and so many of our guests commenting on how comfortable and spacious the rooms were, as well as the overall modern feel of the place. We'd highly recommend this hotel both for events or just a weekend stay!

Great hotel, I really appreciated the inclusive vibe and rainbow flags that were given out. Nice to have an LGBT+ welcoming hotel in conservative Texas : ) Regarding the AC system, it works fine, anyone could set the fan ‘on’ if they want white noise and for it to not cycle on and off. More shade options around pool would be nice. Loved the modern decor and color. And I loved the hardwood floors instead of yuck carpets! Thanks Aloft!

I use to live Nextdoor at River stone ranch and would frequent this location due to its aesthetics, friendly and amazing staff, cleanliness and reliable internet. I stayed here only one night before moving to NJ and I plan in staying here when I come back to visit Austin. Thank you all for always being so great to me and my pups when we would visit. Until we meet again ❤️❤️

This location was hands down my best hotel experience ever. Extremely professional team and the front desk ladies were amazing. I didn’t get all the names of the ladies who helped me at the front desk but 1 of the 3 was Anne from France. The workers treat you like like family and make sure you feel at home! I’ll be staying here every trip to Austin no questions!

Multiple times per week this property has trash pickup occur in the middle of the night (1am, 3am, etc.). As a result, we were subjected to 5-10 minutes of extremely loud banging / metallic noises as multiple dumpsters were emptied right next to the property, waking us up each time. If you value a good nights rest, we’d recommend staying elsewhere given this frequent overnight interruption.

Hotel is lovely but mattresses are not. We were in our first room and very soft mattress seemed to cave in big time when you lay down. Could not sleep. Changed rooms and next room’s mattress did not cave in, but very very soft. Location good for our needs. Free morning coffee in lobby excellent, which is good, since we couldn’t sleep.

Loved this hotel. It is vibrant and fun with a young vibe that did not preclude someone my age (retired) from feeling welcome. The bartender was friendly and attentive even though I was by myself. And the bar food was fresh and appetizing. I loved the room as well. All in all a great place to stay.
