Tampa Union station is interesting with historical significance. I traveled with my bicycle recently to DeLand Florida in order to ride the Florida coast 2 Coast trail system. As a first-time Rider I did not know what to expect. Not bad overall however Amtrak representative Herman Applegate was very insistent that when you reached your destination the train would not stop you needed to get your checked luggage or bicycle quickly as they would not wait. Kind of stressful for me at that point. When I got off the train five employees were standing on the platform helping 2 people. I asked if I could get my bicycle and I was told to calm down and wait over there.I did not until I got my bicycle. Just as they handed down my bicycle the train departed quickly. The moral to this story is the ride was sufficient getting your checked luggage and or bicycle in this matter was difficult to say the least. So get your belongings quickly or they will leave, thanks see you on the trail!

Me gustó mucho la experiencia de tomar un tren. Desde que compré el boleto en la App, me resultó bastante fácil y con la información necesaria para el pasajero. Hay wifi tanto en la estación de Miami, como en el tren. Llegué temprano, antes de las 8:30 am, por lo que me tocó esperar fuera un rato, pero no era la única. Si tienes peso extra, pagas una caja en 5 $ y ahí colocas las cosas que hacen peso extra en tu equipaje. El tren es grande. Los asientos son espaciosos y limpios. El baño, un poco sucio, pero ya eso va dependiendo de los pasajeros que no colaboran. Yo fui de Miami a Tampa y se retrasó 2 horas 30 min., llegando a Tampa, ya que quedó parado por ese tiempo a aproximadamente 1 hora rodando del destino. Cuentan con un cafetín y un área con mesas para comer o estar más cómodo con la laptop.

Great transportation, I love the train ride. However, it need improvement for the tourists people especially for the majority of senior that travel from Miami and does no speak English. It could be a ease fix with the train menu for the rooms passengers. The menu could be translated in different languages. The train station does not have people that announced the train in Spanish like at the airport. This is a transportation way like an airport or cruise and should have options for seniors that does not speak the lenguaje

Gosh, where do I begin, I went there to pick up my pal from Savannah the trade with of course over four hours late. I went into the beautiful historic building and asked three guys that were just sitting back in chairs. We have a counter if I can go out back first time there, I wasn’t sure, I was told in an unprofessional matter that yeah I go back there. They announce with extremely poor language. disappointed at best

I've been to 2 Amtrak Stations, Kissimmee and Tampa. Kissimmee station looks like an abandoned haunting house. Tampa is decent but needs many repairs in the rest rooms. Most train staff was loud and "pushy" as if the train was gonna take off while people are boarding and exiting the train. They WERE helpful when it came to the elderly and those with that needed additional assistance so I cant take that from them.

Traveling on Amtrak is a whole lot of fun! I have to say that the employees are very kind and accommodating. They make your adventure exciting and satisfying. I give a shout out to all of them. When considering a vacation, consider Amtrak, because it will be memorable and enjoyable. A1A hands down.

Their website for booking is antiquated. I couldn’t book on my iPhone. I was gonna take the train home from NC as something different but their booking page kept locking up and or not scrolling. I was able to get my Delta plane ticket though on my iPhone. Maybe next time Amtrak.

Trip was interrupted by a tree on the rails...We were told we could get off the train. I wanted to leave but they decided not to give my luggage, so I got stuck in the place with them for more three hours! They not only did not give me my luggage, they were extremely rude!

Train is always late leaving from Tampa Usually on time coming from West Palm Beach to Tampa. Just don't plan on driving home pleasantly unless it's a Saturday Sunday or a holiday. It takes about 2 hours to go 20 miles

Used the train a number of times to go from West Coast of Florida to it's east Coast. cost is good and the time travel is reasonable. generally the train is coming in here about 15 to 30 minutes late in general

I loved sitting and seeing the entire train station! I went to the station in Tampa, Florida and I loved it and the very friendly staff, I spent the afternoon looking at everything, I felt very calm!

Bring plenty of warm clothes bc it's freezing. So many people are stuck in here for hours that are shivering. Plenty of leg room. Wall outlets. Hot food, drinks, and booze in the cafe.

They give you the incorrect information for the motor coach pick up location, call back is 30 min. How can you get information when needed. Very bad customer experience!

I would give them more stars if they were more accommodating. I don't feel I should be locked out at 8 pm. The station should be open 24 hours a day.

Please post entrance signs!! The turn is so close to the on ramp for the Brandon expressway. So as a NEW train station goer this was VERY confusing.

Nice old train station. Staff very helpful and friendly. Checked our bags 7 hours early. Left one carry on in baggage hold for reasonable fee.

Our first time on AMTRAK in many years. Not a speedy trip but no driving and no flying made travel by train an enjoyable experience.

They were helpful and considerate. Conductor Lopez was a huge help when I couldn’t find my wallet. It was in bottom of my bag lol

Needs remodeling. States it was remodeled in 1990 but needs an update. Counter men were nice. Train ride to Orlando was great.
