This dealership is a fraud. My wife went to get a Peugeot 208 from them and they told her she was covered by a 6 month waranty. A day later after she left the dealership with the purchase of a 208 the car went off on the road and they claim this was a battery problem which we would have seen as a red flag as batteries do not have issues after a first day of purchase. 2 months later, we are stuck with a car that has an exhaust/engine problem and consumes a huge amount of oil and they would not accept responsibility by actually providing the 6 months mechanical cover they offered from when we purchased the car and instead tried to blame my wife for negligence. We are currently taking legal action and i hope this helps every potential customer out there to avoid them Mr Umoru seems to have replied my comment trying to justify his actions and claiming negligence. The real Negligence is when you purchase a car and barely a month after purchase the car starts consuming a huge amount of oil. We approached peugeout to get an expert opinion/diagnosis of this car and it happens to be from their expert opinion that the car was badly used by previous owner and both the exhaust and engine had been damaged. You cannot buy a car from a dealership and be putting oil into the car just a month after purchase or even three months after purchase. I am sure your potential customers do not expect to have a car they would need to put oil in after 3 months purchase. You claim that the car has been used for 5000 miles and as a car dealer if you have any education at all. A car does not burn oil and completely dry out, it however loses elasticity and changes colour which is when you will need an actual oil change and not be stuck with an engine with no sign of oil in it. Every consumer has rights and trust me, after this particular incident you would wish you never attempted to defraud people by selling a bad car to them. I will happily see you in court and to everyone out there, be very careful with this dealership and from his last comment you can see they do not even bother to have their cars serviced and in good condition before sale to customer. There are reasons this is a civilised society and we do have actual trading standards. This delearship remains a fraud and one must be very careful. His claim of offering 50 percent of repairs as a good will gesture is also a big lie as he had refused this after we received the peugeout expert opinion on the car and tried to blaim my wife for negligence. PS: Everyone can clarely see from previous comments/reviews on here that they have failed to provide any warranty to another customer who complained plus other bad reviews also seen below

From start to finish, and even beyond the sale of my car I’ve had a fantastic experience with Ancoats car sales. I spoke to Peter throughout the deal and he made me feel totally at ease throughout the whole process. He reassured me that the car was everything it is advertised at, that the car was in incredible condition and it was a very good choice I was making. I had to take a leap of faith as the car was in Manchester and I am in warwickshire, and I had no way of getting to the car sales office to view the car. Everything I asked for I was granted, I asked for photos of the inside of the car, and they were sent straight away, I had contact via the business phone which was answered by Peter at all times, nothing went un-noticed and I feel like I was treated with the utmost respect. I had to get the car delivered at a price but for me it was worth it. I was told everything about the car by Peter and he even told me there was one flaw which he wasn’t happy about which was the alloy logo which had came off, so Peter went above and beyond and had some new ones ordered and had them sent to my address. When the car arrived via delivery my jaw dropped, I almost cried. I have never seen such a beautiful specimen of a 2014 VW Tiguan, the car is incredible! I feel so blessed and I cannot thank Peter at Ancoats enough for his professional but friendly approach to his car sales, and for blessing me with such an amazing car! Which is now my pride and joy. I’ve literally forgotten about my previous car which I even cried over, what previous car!? haha. And my gosh even the number plates have Ancoats name on them so they definitely take pride in what they do. I still have contact with Peter and he said anything I want or need, or if I need to ask anything about the car etc in the future, that I’m to contact them straight away and they will alaways be there to help. Honestly the best car sales I have ever experienced. May my car treat me well and give me many years of joy! Thanks Ancoats, legends!!!

Professional looking website but this is not the case when you arrive and definitely not worth travelling. Research them first. My car was supposed to be freshly MOT'd. Hand brake didn't work, had x2 large cracks on windscreen, Wipers blades needed replaced, brake pads and discs went within 500miles after purchase. It looked like it had been driving around the deserts on collection day, needed a full vallet. Certainly not a prestige garage. Alarm bells were ringing when when I collected the car, but I had travelled a long way and already paid £500 deposit. A £500 was deduction was agreed for the cracked windscreen but they expected me to just make a fraudulent insurance claim instead. Omar was getting quiet confrontational, I was struggling to keep my cool with him and it was a very stressful purchase. The service light came on a day after purchase, they were ment to email me the service record they claimed it had on purchase but could not provide me with any evidence that it had been serviced. I took it to a local garage for a service at my expense and they showed me filters they changed and they were Mercedes Dealership filters from 2 years ago absolutely pitted. There was no way the car was Serviced before I purchased it. You'll also not that all the cars come with red brake calibres, black gloss alloys and tinted windows to jazz them up. The brake pads are seized into the calibres clogged up with red paint, the black gloss on the alloys chips off in pieces and the window tints aren't just illegal but they're covered in bubbled and peal off when you wind your window down. Honestly avoid this garage at all costs!! Utter cowboys out to make a quick quid! Wish I'd never bought the thing. I spent over £1000 in the first 6 months putting the car right.

One star is to much. The worst experience ever. This twice before you buy anything from them. Customer service is getting worse and worse. They won’t care about you after you buy a car from them. They put false details in their advert so you can buy the car. The car was in really big mess first day i collect it . Even they have made me drive around to find open post office to I can get the logbook for the car I was buying from them .and seller promised me that I can come in two days to fixed it. They gave me the car with duck tape and ripped matt inside . It’s embarrassing for them to do that . I been to the place nearly every day. I had many issues with the car I bought Golf. After weeks and weeks chasing them , they took my car to fix the issue and they only fixed two parts of the car ( I am assuming that they don’t want to be to fix it ) . They took the car for more than two weeks and give me the car with part fixed only not finished the job. Made a big mess with buffing my car . Made more sctracehs then before . They expect you to do their work . I have been treated like trash from this company. They hide from you so they don’t talk to you. They won’t show you any respect. The staff are rude and blaming each other. I put a review last month but then had a deal with the owner to fix the issues and I can delete the review.clearly the owner didn’t bother to check my cat. You need to buy a very expensive car from them so you maybe have a good treatment . This leads me to lose my friendship with the owner. I can write a book with the way they treated me. Good luck for to you if you buying a car from them

Purchased a 2 year old top spec VW Tiguan from Ancoats back in November, and must admit that the service we received from them was excellent. We looked at several other 4WD options (Q5, GLC, X3 and 5, f-pace), but kept coming back to this car every time. It ticked all of our boxes and was very well presented by Ancoats. Far more so than a number of more expensive options on display at some main dealers. The sales team were very helpful. Brett, the 4WD branch manager was very accommodating, I was offered a fair price for my trade in and the whole sales process was very easy. We purchased this car as it was in mint condition inside and out, but we were staggered when we collected the car as it was valeted to new showroom condition. Brett then completed much of the formal paperwork online in the office (road tax, DVLC transfer, insurance) and then ran through a number of the cars operations for us before we drove away. An excellent buying experience and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ancoats. I will certainly check their website out when it's time to change my wife's car. Regarding the Tiguan, we've had it 4 months now and done many journeys, a couple of them 4 hours + drives to London and back. It's excellent, the more I drive it, the better it gets, and I've had many decent cars over the years, my previous car being a Jaguar 3.0Xf. I think it's actually a better ride than that.

Worst experience ever! Would not recommend anyone buying from here. Bought a car in July from them 2 days after buying the suspension messed up which was covered by the warranty and they said they would sort it, which I was happy with was told by Mike that the part is ready drop the car off and same day you can have the car. No problem dropped the car off and part hasn’t arrived which isn’t ancoats fault that’s fine I waited for the part. When it did come, instead of same day getting my car back it took 2 weeks and everyday I would call and get told by Mike definitely today to the point where he would get other members of the team to answer. Also when I bought the car he give me the wrong second key for another car on the lot which I returned and was told I would get another 4 months later speaking to about 5 different team members still waiting and then I got a call from a 3rd part company saying ancoats give us your number for the second key but you need to pay £300 before I can get the key. Lastly today I was driving on the motorway and the bottom lip of the car fell off and it nearly caused an accident as I went to inform ancoats car I was told this is not their responsibility and they wouldn’t do anything. Honestly was service ever and I have given them plenty of time to resolve the matters before writing a review.

Well I don't know where everyone is giving their good reviews here but it has now been 5 weeks that I have been waiting for this company to get back to me. .I put through finance for an Audi TT for 11500k and was sent to my finance company for 14500 and when I whatsapp'd and asked for explanations I was ignored. I called a week ago and spoke to a Mark who pretended to know nothing about this deal,stating he had sold the Audi TT ( funny how that's possible when docs were sent to my finance company) but I was assured that Peter would call me to EXPLAIN everything and to date nothing. Now I don't know why car dealers of late are making it so difficult to buy a car or make the experience so unpleasant but this is now the second company that does this and many others don't even bother getting back to you. I mean seriously...........then they complain they don't sell cars. Thank goodness their are companies out there that actually give good service and make buying a vehicle pleasurable....... BUT I WILL CONTINUE posting bad service and good service to help many others out there, to avoid this happening to someone else. Ancoats ....I am STILL waiting for a responce as to why you added 3 k to my deal and WHY you are trying to get out of calling me back !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bought a 330e from these guys, £15k paid in cash - after getting the car home, we started to spot the problems; broken interior door panel in rear, SOS system broken, tyre pressure sensor broken, window spray jets broken, and a 3" slice out of rear door handle. These are not huge issues, we can resolve them. The 1 star comes from informing Ancote Car Sales about these, and them just going dark. They do not want to know, they simply do not care. So, a warning to anyone considering buying a used vehicle from these cowboys, get it checked by a professional body before handing over any money at all - save yourself the disappointment and perhaps shop elsewhere altogether. A secondary warning - this vehicle had undergone a fresh MOT on the morning we drove through to view it, how it passed with the broken washers I do not know, and will be getting the vehicle reviewed professionally to see if anything else more concerning has been just ticked off to get the MOT passed.

Do Not touch this dealer with a barge pole! We spent almost £10000 on a VW Sharan six months ago. Timing belt was due for replacement, and they very reluctantly agreed to replace it before purchase. Only a couple of months later, we found a strange knocking noise coming from car. Our local garage discovered that the engine mounts had not been refitted correctly, warning lights kept flashing up, and the new timing belt has now had to be replaced, costing us £500. Ancoats have refused to accept any liability or offered to pay for any repairs. No apologies either - just a lawyer's letter saying the car must have been damaged by 'third party' interference. What third party?! And why would would we pay to get the car fixed (and be without it) if there wasn't a problem. You have been warned. They will sell you a car, but then it's your problem. Appalling customer service.

Bought my new car last week from Ancoats car sales and can genuinely and honestly say that it was an absolute pleasure to deal with these guys. Mark who I dealt with was a no pressure no rush guy, I also met Amoru with was also a great guy. Mark is certainly an asset to Ancoats car sales. He even arranged to pick me up from Piccadilly station the day I came to collect my car, that extra above and beyond service really went a long way to making me feel important and was much appreciated. The car was accurately described and was not tatty and mis worded like so many other examples that other dealers often describe. I was not disappointed with the car and can genuinely say that I am absolutely delighted with it. I would have no hesitation what so ever in returning in the future. Great job guys. You get a 100% from me. Thanks for the great buying experience.

I had a terrible after sale experience with the above dealership! Bought a car for export( when the car arrived it was missing lock book) and when questioned about it he said he had an extra one to send us which payed DHL to send us!once car arrived in my Country we had to place a deposit(25% value EU NEW LAW) for the car to be checked. Customs found that the invoice he gave as he did not sign and he did not specify how we paid(which was cash). When we phoned him to please update the correct information on invoice or we risked loosening our deposit for a whole week he messed us around and that he would phone us back which he never did. At the end he told us very arrogantly that he refused to do it. We have since found out that he should not had accepted a payment of £37.000 in cash(illegal). Informed him and he still says no.

All seemed well at first. Drove the car home and on the way back the engine light came on which bought up numerous faults. The code reader I had told me the codes were deleted, which happened to be when they were in possession of the car. Took it to a garage for a look over, the car would not pass an MOT with all its faults, and yet they MOT’d it. I rang them and they denied that, even though I had proof. Every phone call I made they were trying to fob me off, made numerous excuses. Still haven’t had the decency to pay for the work. Stupidly I bought the car without a v5 several months down the line I still haven’t received it. I rang them up to sort it “we will get it sorted for you” also another lie as I’m still waiting for it. No point asking them to do anything as it’ll be too difficult for them.

Purchased an Audi from here, everything seemed great. MOT had recently been done, however in under 3 weeks it had done 3500! Something which I missed when purchasing the car! They had also carried out the MOT themselves - and it took me 10 mins from driving away from the showroom for the car to break down on me! Returned the car back the same day and was unable to get my deposit back! Queried this the following day, for them to have new excuses. Went back to them 2 weeks later, for the owner to walk out on me as I came to query about my deposit! Very rude and ignorant! No customer care given! The overall experience was awful, as it took them a month to return my deposit; every employee had a different reason! Wouldn’t recommend these guys!!

Great service up front, terrible after sales service. Car was delivered with a new MOT, yet had an illegal tyre on the back and a stone chip in the drivers side view area, the front off side wheel had been badly kerbed by the delivery driver and paint peeled off the other side front wheel on the first home wash. 6 weeks later I am still waiting for a resolution. They are happy for me to drive 400 miles to get the work done with them but won't pay fuel, they won't pay the local rate for wheel refurb. Are only offering £65 on a tyre I cannot buy for less than £171. Do not come back tonyou when they say they will, keep asking for repeat information. I am extremely frustrated right now.

I approached Ancoats on a whim as I was planning a trip to Manchester and decided to pop in after seeing a very nice M240i for sale. Pete and Omar did a great job accommodating us and our needs and we managed to strike a deal. Even after a few hiccups on my side Pete was very assuring and was the opposite of a pressuring salesman. The car itself was clean in and out with an impressive spec for a great price so once again thank you, this was my first time purchasing a more premium car and it’s already put so many smiles on our faces no thanks to Ancoats! Great service from these guys, in particular John who handled the sale of a BMW 3 Series Tourer to me. I reserved the car online Sunday Evening and after a MOT & Full Service I collected it on Wednesday!! I live in the South East and therefore was unable to pre-view the car, I had to rely on Johns description of the car to commit to the Journey to Manchester however as he said it was "Spot On" a few age related marks / scratches that were reflected in the price! Service is casual and friendly and not a hint of pressurised sales tactics, the whole experience was straightforward and quick. no hesitation in recommending them

Awful customer service from the managers + ceo! My nephews bought the new Audi Q7 from the showroom, drove 10 mins and the car broke down. Went back to return the car and they refused to give the deposit back. Customer service was awful as they didn't communicate properly especially after spending over 40k for a new car. They held the deposit for almost a month for no valid reason and said it was under the T&C of the contract when the car they sold was at fault and put myself and my nephews through mental stress. Wouldn't recommend purchasing a car from this company at all.

Bought my BMW from Ancoats about 2 months ago. The whole process was quick and easy and at no point did I feel pressured or rushed. I was given plenty of time to look around and took the car on a long test drive. We were offered drinks and snacks, also for the kids! Nothing was too much trouble and the staff there are friendly and very helpful. I was even offered a video chat after I got the car home to talk me through the car's IDrive system! Would highly recommend and will definitely buy from Ancoats Car Sales again!

Brought an Audi A4 Avant Quattro yesterday. Brilliant service from the guys. Swiftly moved all of the other vehicles out the way of the car so I could have a proper look and made a special effort to get the car out for a test drive despite all of the builders vans in the way. Also, I told them I wanted to take the car away the same day so they got the car serviced straight away for me. All of the cars on sale at the dealer are of a very quality and they have some lovely examples! Thanks again guy's!!!!

Agreed to buy a white Audi from these guys rang my finance company got it all set up received a text message that they had sold the car to a walk in. When I rang up they said but u didn't leave a diposit ! I was never asked and I was on the phone when the finance company called them for the details of the car they agreed to sell me the car if they had of asked for a deposit I would of paid one no issues. Absolutely disgraceful treatment I would not ever buy a car from this garage now

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Absolutely shocking customer service. Not upholding to their warranty. Refusing to repair car still within warranty period. Despite calling everyday the “only person” who can help us is never available, doesn’t return calls or emails. Been without our car for a week now, after having it transported (out of our pocket) to a garage of their choosing. After only having it 7 weeks. Salesman Mark is very unprofessional and rude. Avoid at all costs.

Customer service is ridiculous here, not worth the visit. Owner lacks manners and is prejudice against those of colour. He was more interested in informing us that he has two million pounds worth of stock and was ‘doing well for himself’ than in selling his stock. You should wear a face mask if you’re worried about the pandemic and stand two metres away. Booking a test drive for a car that someone could have potentially bought should be the least of your worries.

Brought a car from them with 7 months MOT on it, when it came time for the MOT it transpired that the DPF had had its insides ripped out and was producing an illegally high amount of emissions. The vehicles ECU had also been altered to accept this fault. Nearly £1000 later rectifying this and the company refuse to acknowledge all my messages and the fact they sold me an unroadworthy vehicle with an illegal modification on it.

Spoke to Brett and travelled down to finally see the car, rang rover evoque 2 door grey and I knew it was for me, they kept me in the loop with the other buyer down ther, and they were most helpful over the phone and sent me pics on WhatsApp photos of everything beforehand before doing the deal. I usually not gave someone bad review but I had viewed and test drive a Mercedes car recently from openshaw showroom of ancoats car sales . I don't like that Mercedes and I requested staff can I please have a test drive on jaguar and a staff rudely says do u really want to buy this which I find really offensive .and I left the premises and got my jaguar from else where more polite and respectful doesn't cost much

My journey started with finding a stunning Jaguar I-Pace on Autotrader. i dealt with Mike from my first call who was very helpfull and attentive. he was open and honest from the outset and i was reassured knowing that the car had been healthchecked and had repair work done by a Jaguar main dealer before i was able to test drive the car. by that stage it was a no brainer. the car was going to be mine!

I’m don’t usually leave reviews but the service I received was really good.I bought a car from Ancoats Car Sales 5 months ago and it had a few minor issues. I contacted them and they were more than happy to help and told me to bring my car in. Within three days I had my car fixed and returned back to me. I would highly recommend as they really look after their customers.

DO NOT waste your time, cars they sell having nothing but issues, staff DO NOT care and once they have your money they ignore all calls and emails. You have to go down in person to get their attention, and even then, all the staff just fob you off to the next staff member. Terrible company, do not bother.
