Very disappointed as we went for brekkie boards and the menu has completely changed even though it looks the same as before, seasoning and attention to detail has changed. They now add dukkah which completely ruins the flavour. On top of that this meant to come with 'freshly squeezed orange juice' but instead we were given just juice out of a carton. The waitress took a while to bring over the drinks, and she just shamelessly left these not so fresh OJs on our table like we wouldn't notice. I wanted to say something to her but she just completely ignored me. The granola yoghurt has also completely changed as last time we had Greek yoghurt with honey and coconut shavings and some fruit on top/chia seeds etc. This was just very runny yoghurt that didn't taste nice at all - had a try and left it all as it was. Overall we couldn't eat most of our meal as it was nasty. The staff could clearly see our plates were full and that we weren't happy so they avoided to come and check if everything was okay. We decided to go and pay at the till as they weren't even coming to bring the bill over to our table, and again they didn't even bother to engage in conversation. Very poor customer service from start to finish and staff didn't seem to care to provide the bare minimum of customer service in general. It's a shame as the first time I visited this place was very pleased with the meal but not anymore - won't be coming back! I definitely wouldn't recommend this.

Cleanliness isn’t a concern for staff, unfortunately. The owners need to address this. We saw a customer come in with a dog (not a guide dog) which jumped on one table and then sat on the seating. The dog did a body shake on the chair and we saw its hair and other particles from it floating in the air. One of the staff came over and stroked and patted the dog before going back to preparing drinks without washing her hands. There were empty seats outside which the dog owner should have used. Furthermore, dogs should not be allowed to sit on seats or tables. Finally, baristas should wash their hands after touching dogs before preparing drinks. Basic hygiene. Another customer was sat at the bar coughing all over the empty cups that are used for preparation. I informed one of the workers about it and he didn’t seem concerned and didn’t wash the cups. These are major issues not to be taken lightly for a place that serves food and drink. I hope the owners address these issues and train their staff on cleanliness principles.

Like so many of us that weren't aware of this hidden little gem on the border of Manchester and Salford on Chapel Street, we started to read the reviews of legend, that this place had perhaps the best breakfast you would ever taste. The atmosphere is a gentle chilled vibe, hanging on the hipster side of things, all beech and food on boards. I've been a couple of times, once on a busy weekend and once at a quieter time and both time the atmosphere remained chilled and easy going. The food, having had the brekkie board consisting of fresh sour dough bread, beetroot hummus and guacamole with feta cheese and a bowl of their infamous granola is a great way to get a day (or even an evening) started. It is served all day long. The granola in particular is out of this world. A fine combo of nuts, granola, mixed berries, coconut filings and Greek yoghurt, the mix is just right and you might be going back for that second bowl. Get the guys and girls together; this is a great place to start your weekend, whatever you're doing. M

I'm not usually one to review things on Google but I was a bit dismayed with the customer service received this morning (my sister used to run a coffee shop so have a fair idea of what is and what isn't good enough). I walked in this morning, there was plenty of staff around (at least 4) didn't even get as much of an acknowledgement when I arrived let alone a hello or a good morning. I then stood there waiting and no communication was forthcoming, no "I'll take your order in a minute", it wasn't even that busy and it wasn't clear who my order was to be made to until I piped up with "is anyone taking orders" to which the member of staff responded with abruptly without an apology for my wait (it wasn't necessarily a bad response but wasn't good enough). I received my coffee and it was a really nice flat white so it's a shame I'm having to write this review, I appreciate people are finding things challenging at the moment but that should not come as an excuse for shoddy customer service to a potential customer.

The food is good, I like the avocado toast and the poached eggs are always perfect. coffee is good quality and of course they have non-dairy milk options. however, the açaí bowl is not really authentic; it is mixed with too much banana and arrives to the table already soft, as an açaí smoothie/cold soup. A real açaí bowl usually has the consistency of sorbet when mixed with the right amount of bananas or whatever fruit is being used to make it cheaper (as açaí itself is expensive and the places that sell it pure are scarce outside of Brazil). Anyways, will go back, but probably will never order the açaí again and will wait until I go to London where they have “açai berry” which is authentic.

I came in on Friday 14th July 2023. Service was slow, tables to close together. And also found a hair in my food. This made me feel physically sick. Spoke to a member of staff who I believe was the manager. Who quite abruptly stated all kitchen staff wear hair nets . Not really sure why this was mentioned when a hair has been foundso clearly somebody wasnt wearing a hairnet that day or was already in the bread before ut go tobthe restaurant. I have made several attempts to contact via email and socials to discuss privately to no avail. I would never go back into this restaurant and it has made me very uncomfortable eating out as per the incident and lack of response from you.

First time I came, left because of a 20-minute wait due to the crowd. Today, no waiting, got a seat easy. Had two types of French toast - sweet mushroom toast was super fresh, cinnamon one with berries wasn't overly sweet. I prefer the mushroom toast. Toast itself had a perfect soft-crunchy combo. Hot chocolate was great too. Cool brunch spot to check out!

Came for brunch. A good amount of choice. Had the French Toast but was disappointed - thick slices of brioche were exciting but they had been only very briefly dipped before being fried, so were quite bland. It was more like eating slices of slightly dry brioche with compote, and some odd dry sugary crumble over everything. I couldn't distinguish the maple syrup. Coffee was very good, service was fantastic and friendly, and I appreciated being served with a bottle of tap water immediately on seating, though the music is a bit too loud for easy conversation. Dog friendly - allowed inside.

I spent the morning with my laptop getting some work done. The coffee is excellent and the smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel was excellent too. There are plenty of seats but it does get pretty busy so best to arrive early. They will take your name and number if you would rather not wait outside the shop. The staff are friendly and service is quick too.

Parking up to one hour on the main road in front and a few side roads that have free on street parking.

They are all very happy to help with children. Plenty of child seats too.

A tale of 2 halves really. The drinks are nice and the staff are friendly and make good cocktails. This bar CAN be a cool place to hang out, plus the brunch is really good and seasonal, not just your average eggs and bacon fare. BUT... sometimes these 2 regulars come in get black out drunk and harass the rest of the customers in the bar and the staff do nothing to stop them (this harassment includes shouting, swearing, and physically touching you). If you're unlucky and they're there (trust me, you'll know right away), just walk straight out again it's not worth it.

So I’ve not been for a long time and previously used to come once a month. Waited 20 mins for someone to serve us - my husband had to turn around very obviously and make eye contact to actually get someone to take our order. Three members of staff, one busy making coffees, the other lost in her phone (picking her nose) and the other just all over the place. Waited a further 35 mins for our food and my eggs were cold. I was too hungry to complain so I just ate it - food was a good standard and hubby really enjoyed his Turkish eggs. We heard the table next to us ask for their coffee twice because they were taking ages.

  • Vivian Carrer Elias

After reading the reviews I was surprised I didn't have a good experience there. Although the restaurant wasn't busy nobody came to our table for ages, and when we went to the counter to order some food we were told off by the staff. One of the meals we ordered included a drink but it didn't come with it, and we couldn't ask for it because (again) nobody came to our table or made eye contact with us. In the end, our "quick chilled lunch" took forever, was stressful and we spent the whole time trying to get someone to take our orders. The food was good though (nothing groundbreaking) but it wasn't worth going at all.

Another Heart to Feed is the heart of West Didsbury. The food, service and coffee is par excellence. Rarely do you find a place that gets it right across all areas; food, beverage, service, ambience and exceeds expectations consistently. There is passion at the heart of the kitchen which proliferates into the cafe at every table. Even on a weekday morning the queues start for the essential morning coffee to kickstart the day. Come back for lunch and be delighted by the soulful food that arouses the taste buds and satiates your stomach and warms the heart. Another heart to feed is not just another coffee shop!

  • David Smith

I stumbled across this little gem while on a visit to Manchester and I'm so glad I did! The owners told me their story about how they lived in Melbourne for a few years and wanted to bring a piece of the famous Melbourne cafe scene back to England. Well they certainly achieved that in spades! The menu is a real treat with all kinds of amazing things on there, you won't know where to start! (A great reason to visit again and again). The quality of the food and the great value for money stands out. Lovely atmosphere and wonderful owners. Good luck guys, you won't need it!

West village/Another heart to feed. We were in pursuit of Another heart to feed, but landed in West village. Visited with friends on a Saturday evening for a much needed caffeine kick. Unfortunately the place does not sell coffee after 4pm-ish. Had to make do with beer and lemonade which was not too bad. Quaint interiors and pleasant interiors, seemed like a good place for solace & conversation on the ever busy Burton road in Didsbury.

I've been to 'Another Heart To Feed' a few times recently and have been pleasently surprised. I've only eaten there once (I had poached eggs on sourdough) but the food was excellent, although perhaps a little more than I'd usually pay for a quick breakfast. The coffee is superb and I'd recommend the flat white, OR if you're after some decent takeout filter they currently offer a cup for £1 between 8am and 10am. The location is just outside the city centre by Trinity Church, which is a nice place to pass some time or sit outside and watch the world go by.

  • Darren Semple

We only came across this place after the cafes we'd normally eat at were full, so not normally a place we'd have chosen. We were pleasantly surprised. The staff were all friendly and didn't have to wait long to take food or drink orders. There's free tap water for the tables as well. I ordered the banana bread which was absolutely delicious and very filling. My fiancé and her friend both had avacado on toast and also commented on how nice it was. Prices for the quality and style of the food is fantastic. Can certainly say we'll be returning again.

  • Gary Sides

We called in before an appointment at Christie's as we were early. We both had the salmon and egg bagel which was great and even better was the latte.....wow ....wish we lived closer as this blows the socks off the commercial coffee houses. Well done ....it'll be a place we call into during my diagnosis and treatment in the future. Something to look forward to.

They have no idea what French toast is. Literally had a picture waiting for the staff. It is not cornbread and alamod for a start. It is two large skinny triangle sides of dough bred dripped with either honey or berry. If you are in Manchester City C. they have one near Market st and it was bloody awful. Cups were queen cups. Staff were rude too. Staring into my soul lol.

Not great, had the avo on toast - only one egg and hard, ended up ordering extra bacon which was undercooked and felt like it been cooked in a microwave.. yuck!. By the time you’ve paid for the extras to get a decent meal it’s added up to a very expensive breakfast. Also waited too long to be served, no atmosphere. You can find much better in the northern quarter.

Discovered this place today as we was walking by, firstly greeted by a friendly guy (who I think is the owner) was nice and welcoming. The coffee at this place is 10/10 best coffee I've had in Manchester, the food is delicious and definitely fresh, I had the smoked salmon with cream cheese and spinach on rye bread!! Was not disappointed good price and great service! Worth a try if you like a relaxed and friendly environment.

  • Alexandra Philiastides

We used to be regulars here. We won't be coming back. Blunt, terrible acai bowl, £12 with huge lumps of ice floating in it Waitress tried to justify it by saying that they use frozen berries, guess what? All other brunch places do but they also use a blender too! Also, a tiny cup of coffee costs £6 on this place

Staff are young and so so friendly, the 2 people that stood out the most was a young girl with curly hair and a young man, they both where super friendly and really made us feel welcome, he dident even get annoyed at me when I was being abit difecault and couldn't decide what drink or food I wanted, truly outstanding service from them and made it totally worth the visit, deffonatly going to return. Service 6* Food 4*

High chair was falling apart and unsafe, table was super wobbly and spilt our drinks every time someone walked past.. tea is not enough to fill the small teacup it comes in, have visited numerous times but didn't feel very looked after unfortunately. Also food takes around 45mins to come and is decent at best. Also bill took ages to come which I see from the reviews is a common issue, I won't be returning sad to say

  • Michael McCarter

Great brunch spot offering tasty, good portioned and well presented food at affordable prices. Excellent coffee as well! Whilst there are no explicitly vegan items, around half of the dishes can be made vegan. I had the mushrooms and pesto on wholemeal sourdough toast with a side of homemade baked beans which was well seasoned and delicious. Would definitely come back again!

  • Jack Woodcock

First time here and really impressed. Great bar anyway, but this was a great brunch experience. Amazing coffee, top service and delicious food. I'm usually a bit more of an English breakfast type of man, but the egg, feta, avocado with beetroot hummus served on sour dough was... delicious. Albeit very Didsbury! But hey, nothing wrong with that when it tastes so good.

  • Adrian Monaghan

Sunday brunch. Friendly welcome. Downhill from there unfortunately - had to share a table with strangers, waited for 40 minutes for some toast and for an hour for some pumpkin on toast. We gave up waiting for the bill to arrive after asking for it so we got up, paid at the counter and went somewhere else nearby for a fantastic lunch as we were starving. Won't return.

I'm originally from Melbourne and stumbled across this little gem when traveling through Manchester. The coffee was the best I've had on my travels and definitely made me feel like I was back home in Melbourne. I had the acai bowl and tried my friends smashed avocado on toast - both were delicious! Definitely worth checking out!

  • Anna S

Absolutely delicious! Tried turkish eggs with halloumi and sourdough bread, was ver nice, bread was very soft and eggs were so tender, perfect brunch. Coffee is very nice as well. My husband ordered falafel toast - it was very nice as well as very fullfilling. Though the service was a bit long but I guessit was just a busy day.

  • Saskia Locke

One of the best brunches in Manchester, but it's such a shame there are no vegan options! Most dishes are veganisable but only by taking off dairy/meat ingredients but no alternatives are offered. This leaves vegans ripped off, paying full price for a dish that costs a fraction of the price without the cheese/eggs/meat.

  • Jonny Finch

Got orders wrong, food took ages to arrive was cold. Waitress repeatedly leaned over our table to grab things off the shelves, and left the back door open so the cold air could come in and gave us full view of the bins. Better places for lunch on Burton Rd

Such a creative, flavour-meld of a brunch menu. The food is absolutely epic! Their only downfall is the sole option of Allpress coffee - a generic, "tastes like coffee" roast. Shane when there are so so many better roasters in Manchester and the UK. At least offer a 'guest' coffee option...

  • Christos Konstantinou

the staff were very friendly and helpful. the menu has many delicious choices catering for everyone. though surfaces were cleaned often i think tables could be spaced out more in covid-19 times (sat outside). also charging 1.50 for extra spinach i would expect more than literally 4 leaves

  • Amanda Chinery

Super tasty food. Highly recommend the sweetcorn fritters with halloumi and avocado. Soooo good! Great selection of foods. Hot cappuccinos, juicy juices. Can’t fault the place. Staff are helpful, friendly and efficient. Been twice now and I’m sure this will become a regular haunt for me!

Incredibly oat milk lattes and breakfasts are so delicious. They have lots of adaptions they can make for vegans which is clearly displayed on their menu so it’s not trouble to ask. Staff are always really friendly and make you feel welcome when you come in.
