What an Austin gem! Antonelli’s Date Night is such a great way to spend an evening with your date. It is byob or you can preorder wine or champagne when you register. If you forget, you can also pick up a bottle accross the street at the cheese shop. Before you arrive think about your favorite cheese as the Date Night starts with short introductions and you’ll be asked to share your spirit cheese. It’s a cute way to set the stage for a fun night. You and your date get a big cheese plate and a charcuterie board to share. Don’t be afraid to ask for more bread. Be careful not to woof down the cheese or meats too quickly- enjoy the experience and save some before moving to the next paring. Fortunately, the staff at Antonelli’s guides you through each pairing while still leaving enough time for you talk with your date or the couple next to you. Depending on how the tables are arranged, I’d recommend sitting at the tables that are spaced a bit further apart, as the ones right when you walk in are a bit snug when you are sitting back to back with the person behind you. The staff are super knowledgeable and accommodating. The other fun aspect is everyone there is in a good mood from start to finish- even if you get a cheese that you don’t finish or wouldn’t buy for yourself- it is such a unique and special way to spend a date night surrounded by other happy couples tasting delicious cheeses, meats, and more. Thank you Antonelli’s!

Their monthly cheese club is world class. My sister and I joined 2 separate cheese clubs; we did lots of research to find the best cheese clubs in the country. (And then every month we get together and see whose club is ACTUALLY best.) Eventually I thought I would try Antonelli's, mainly because they're local... but I wasn't expecting them to be AS good as my previous club. Oh my gosh, I was so impressed! Antonelli's level of customer service and attention to detail and personal availability is SOOOO much better than what I've experienced elsewhere. Their cheese selection is often the winner (in the "cheese competition" I have with my sis). AND... it's super easy to get a hold of them to re-order hit cheeses in the future... which is practically impossible with the national club. This sounds minor but I have to point it out. Every cheese club comes with an overview sheet of some kind, describing the provenance of the cheeses. Antontelli's presentation is so thoughtful and appealing and friendly. They're sharing a fun vibe. I compare this with my previous national company, who merely sent us a black & white piece of paper. (It wasn't even folded.) It's little things like this that communicate where a company is coming from. This has been a completely great experience.

My husband and I are visiting from Atlanta, and decided to have a date night in to avoid the cold wet weather Austin is experiencing right now. We’d seen Antonelli’s while we were at Quack’s our first day in town, so I told my husband to go back to our Airbnb and I’d pick out some meats and cheeses for dinner. I wish I could remember the name of the guy who helped me. He was patient and kind and *so* informative. My husband and I can have some differing opinions on cheese, so the clerk had a challenge. He nailed it though. I wound up settling on the goat tomme, the verano, and the challerhocker. Meat wise I got the capocollo di dorman, the bresaola, and the soppressata. I finished everything off with the dried figs, cornichon, and some of the waterwheel crackers. We had the best time cuddled up, watching Netflix and enjoying all the fantastic treats, and I can’t thank the rep enough for his help and guidance. Date night was a full on success thanks to him :-)

Like many other people, I have seen the commercials over the years, but I had no idea that they are located in Austin. I needed some cheese for wine night and wanted to chat with a professional so I stopped by and was assisted by Henry who was fabulous! I brought a specialty jam that recommended 3 types of cheeses and Henry perfectly paired delicious selections. We left with flory's truckle, kunik, and bay blue cheese that is mild on the blue and tastes of blueberry which delighted my friend who normally does not like blue cheese. I had never heard of duck prosciutto and after a sample, I was hooked! Their prosciutto di parma was also excellent. I thought the shop would be a bit larger with a various different cracker selections and wine/champagne. Although we did not find crackers to our liking, we did however find a nice bottle of Rosso All'Antica, a red brut that was a perfect pairing.

We were sent a very expensive gift bag filled with cheeses and crackers and jam which would have been lovely, but it arrived HOT and melted. We had to throw it out. We live in Florida, so they really need to factor in location when shopping out packages. They even have a card in the bag stating that the ice packs will be melted but that the cheese should be fine, but not when the entire bag is hot and the cheese is melted. I called to tell the shop and no one ever called me back. We notified the person who sent it because she also sent several other employees gift bags and we wanted her to be aware of the condition they may be receiving their gifts. Turns out the people in Texas received their cheeses hot as well. I would NOT recommend using this company to send people cheese.

This place is always amazing. The quality, selection, and service are always on point. Natalie helped us yesterday and she was phenomenal. My friend l, also a long time Austinite who had never been before, was beyond impressed by how knowledgeable, professional, and caring this cheese monger was. Natalie is why I love Antonelli’s so much. Her care. Her attention to her customer, her product, and her team. She was taking care of her customers and training two new people all while giving true service and care to all. Give this lady a raise. Great food. Great people. It’s is not just a shop. It becomes an experience.

I was so pumped to order our cheese/meat board and bread/cracker tray to take to my daughter-in-law’s parent’s home for Christmas Day. However, the cheese/meat tray was disgusting and the bread/cracker tray was stale. To say the least I was embarrassed and disappointed, especially after spending over $120 and driving from Waco to Austin to pickup. I am a huge cheese lover of all types, but I was definitely not impressed by the cheeses on my board. The owner and his daughter were the ones passing out the trays on Christmas Eve and they were very nice…just wish the trays had been.

What fun! Antonelli's Cheese Shop introduced me to some delicious cheeses from around the world, and I learned to pair them with jams, jellies, breads, figs... I brought home some dynamite dishes that my family really enjoyed as an exploratory journey. Additionally, I had the pleasure of working directly with the owners, John and Kendall, for a documentary video project by ARISE Video Studio. They are delightful people, so full of appreciation for each other and this exciting business they've created together. They're a real Austin entrepreneur success story.

I've been enjoying this place for a decade and waited in a line flowing out the door on December 23. We almost left or got a gift card instead, but I'm so glad we stayed and got our selections. It was soooo worth it. Everyone at Christmas loved the cheeses as much as we did. And the line became social after a while. Always listen to what the people ahead of you in line are getting excited about when they taste, this is another way to find a great cheese without tasting the whole case. Thanks to the gentleman in front of us I found one of my new favorites.

  • Nathan Kandus

I don't even know where to begin to adequately describe how amazing this place is. The staff is insanely knowledgeable about their cheeses, and even with a general idea of what you want they will find you a variety of options that could fit the bill. They guide you through the tasting notes of each, and let you sample each of the cheeses you were thinking about. The variety of styles and options they squeeze into their small cabinet is truly impressive. Their meats are amazing. It's an wonderfully curated selection, and worth every single penny.

  • Staci CooperHoffmann

Yesterday our cheese monger was Ms. Natalie. Not only was she extremely knowledgeable about the cheeses, but she was extra helpful and held the door while my hubby git me and my wheelchair out the door. Can't wait to have our picnic, with your products at Sunset Park in Las Vegas later this week! Thanks for exceeding our expectations. And I'm so glad your shop was on that banking commercial, or I would have never known you were here. Y'all are the reason we stopped in Austin on our way to celebrate our 20th anniversary in Vegas.

  • Sarah P

Some of the most delicious cheeses you'll ever eat are in this shop. They're a little pricey but it's a local business and they're all worth your dollars. The charcuterie boards are actually a complete bargain based on how much you get if you compare them to the price and volume of food you would get from other places like Easy Tiger. All the cheese mongers are highly friendly and very knowledgeable, so if you don't know anything about cheese, don't worry they'll get you sent home with something you'll enjoy.

  • Whitney Spence

This place is by far my favorite cheese shop. They let you taste a little bit before committing to a cheese. They even had one of the best and only blue cheeses I've ever liked. I'm like a kid going to Disneyland when I come here. They also can ship cheese and other goodies to different states! I sent my sister-in-law some cheese for her birthday and she said she normally doesn't like goat cheese but the one they sent was amazing! Definitely come here if you love cheese!

  • Erika Benitez

Super cute shop. Love the style and vibe. They have an exciting assortment of cheeses to try in store. They also sell wine, cold meats, fresh east tiger bread and crackers, cool merch t shirts, spreads, and more! The staff is super knowledgeable about everything they have in store and are more than eager to share that knowledge and help you create the best charcuterie board at home or whatever your cheese needs may be. Super cute menus and info on the wall about cheese.

  • Farzana Sedillo

Fantastic selection of cheeses of very high quality. I’ve tried comparable styles at Central Market and still prefer Antonelli’s. The people who work here are great and knowledgable about new cheeses to try. Being able to try before you buy is also an advantage. My new favorite of late is Truffle Tremors. Also good for charcuterie and pates, as well as a variety of condiments, wine and supplies. Always fun to browse as you never know what new thing you may come across!

  • George Sidener

Limited parking. There is a walk-up pickup window. Not as large as I excepted it to be. There is a nice selection of cheese though. They also have Spanish Jamon Serrano which was a real nice suprise. I did buy a nice selection of cheese. The prices are fair also. The staff was very nice and friendly. Ask for a sample! It's not an Italian or Swiss shop but it comes very close. It's a bit of a trek to find the place but well worth it. Go buy some cheese and be happy!!

We used Antonelli’s catering for a celebration of life. We ordered two of the READY TO SERVE GRAZING TABLE (S) Serves 30+. They were beautiful in presentation and there was plenty of food for the 50 guests we had, and leftovers. Ordering online was super easy and quick . All the food was fresh and flavorful. All of it! The delivery was on time and smooth. We would highly recommend Antonellis for catering your next event and we would use them again in a heartbeat!

  • Jeffrey Barnes

I have put off going to this place for too long! Stocked up on fresh bread, wines, chocolates, and tons of cheese! Just finished tasting, scoring, and cataloging our haul. I'm a huge nerd when it comes to great cheese, but these are all so much better than you could find at an grocer! Cant wait to go back when these are done and see what new stuff they have in stock. Employees were also very kind, patient, helpful, and tremendously informative!

  • Katherine Cain

Can't believe it is my first time in here but it was. Very friendly, knowledgable and helpful employees- they were patient and had excellent advice. I had no idea that the cheeses are from all over- I always thought they made it! My friend was going and I went along with her and so glad I did- got lots of cheese and will be back. They also have meats and jellies and wine- everything you need for a charcuterie board and even have the boards!

  • Jeffrey Cohan

The bus tour is an entertaining and delicious way to spend a day! Set aside the educational aspects of the tour focusing on the artisans and their cheeses, cocktails, wines, and chocolates...the Antonellis and their team are Austin treasures, and make sure it is a lively time. I wasn't sure what we were in for when my wife signed us up, but very pleased that she did! I want to go again.

  • M G

A nonprofit organization that I am involved in hosted a cheese and chocolate tasting event here. We were able to bring our own wine and enjoy it with the cheese and chocolate from all over. The host did a phenomenal job at explaining what each cheese is and how it is best paired. I would highly recommend visiting this place and then taking a look at their store just across the street

  • Sebastian

This place is the utopia of cheeses. If you're looking for specialty cheeses of any category (i.e. hard, soft cheeses) this is the place to go to. I purchased the best tasting gouda I've ever had here and it was expensive but worth every dime. Workers are knowledgeable and will lead you in the right direction. I'd definitely check this place out if you're a cheese connoisseur.

  • Sarah Wu

Loved it! I'm not a real cheese person, but all the cheese there is sooo good! I highly recommend Teahive, June's Joy (very pleasant goat cheese, we bought 3 containers after the tasting) and Caldera Espana (literally tastes like meat! savory and delicious). I bought a bunch of cheese from Texas so I can visit my friends and give them this as a gift. They absolutely loved it!

  • Kristen Warren

I have attended a few classes and tastings here which have been informative and entertaining. The shop itself had a world class stock of favorites but always surprises me with new cheeses as well. Plus an array of wines, cured meats, jams and condiments. Note of warning: you should probably be under the care of a cardiologist if you visit more than once a month.

  • Leah Baker

I have ordered cheese trays for pick up on several occasions and they never disappoint. The cheese are always fantastic, and the presentation is beautiful. It's also a treat to visit for a couple cheeses. The mongers are very knowledgeable and let you taste everything before purchasing. Such a great experience and I'm so happy I have this in the neighborhood.

  • Michael Sierra-Arévalo

Austin gem and Hyde Park institution. Have gotten boards here for birthdays and dinner parties, and bring visitors here regularly. The selection of cheese is paralleled only by the expertise of all the store’s employees. Wine, cider, cured meat, bread, crackers, preserves, etc. also on site for you to pick up. A truly outstanding cheese shop.

  • Cheyenne Spears

We tried more than a half dozen cheeses and felt like the customer service experience we had was beyond amazing! We ended up buying 4 cheeses (which included a cheese I thought I hated) This is easily the best cheese shop I've ever been to. Thank you again to the person that helped us (Sorry we we forgot their name) EDIT: THANK YOU GINA

  • Payton P

I’ve followed Antonelli’s on Instagram for over a year and love their cheese and chocolate nights and wine and cheese pairings. Tonight, was the first night to actually have it and it was amazing! We got charcuterie boxes for an event and loved them! Their blue cheese was some of the best I’ve ever had and loved the olives! So good!

  • John Machonis

Quaint little shop offering any cheese you would want from around the world. Start here for your charcuterie board. The best part is they assign you a very knowledgeable person behind the counter to answer questions and give you samples. We left with 6 different cheeses in perfect proportions to what we needed. That’s how you do it.

  • Jessica Wyatt

From the people to the classes to the variety of cheeses and foods, Antonelli’s brings back the small town excellence to Austin. Had the pleasure of the bus tour recently and to visit Pure Luck Goat Farm and taste the cheese at the source is amazing. Thank you Kendall, John and team for sharing your experience and love of cheese!

  • Talj

The virtual cheese tasting was excellent! We did a chocolate a cheese tasting virtual event over Zoom, and had a lot of fun. The hosts were great and the event was very laid back -- just enjoy that cheese! It was a great experience overall and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for something new to do from home.

  • Rachel Rothschild

We've always loved Antonelli's - but the Raclette night at home was next level fun! The cheese & accoutrements were all delicious and the raclette machine made dinner an interactive experience for everyone. Easy set-up, easy clean-up, and just a really fun time. Thanks, Antonelli's for this great experience!

  • S. Q.

This spot is good. Finally went one day after years of meaning to. It was busy (small location, long line). They talk to you about their selection, what you might be looking for, have tasting spoons, etc. I got some really good brie. The guy was friendly. Overall good experience despite the waiting time.

  • Elizabeth Coleman

Wonderful cheese knowledge, and I highly recommend the tasting classes. Went to the grilled cheese class, it was fascinating and the hostesses were very knowledgeable. As many grilled cheeses as you can eat! They encourage experimentation. I'll definitely be coming back for another course.

  • Michelle Minvielle

My daughter introduced me to Antonelli's during a visit for a cheese and wine paring. It was so wonderful I sent her and her husband a cheese and meat tray for the holidays! The owners are friendly and helpful, coming from a family owned business I really appreciate the great service.

  • Janell Duncan

So so many cheeses to chose from!! They just reopened their store front so now you can go in and try some of their cheeses before you buy them. Everyone behind the counter were excited to share their knowledge of the cheeses. So much so we came home with quite a few different cheeses.

  • Nicole C.

The customer service at Antonelli’s is top notch! Cathy and her team went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience. The guests at our event loved the trays. Everything was so fresh and delicious. We will definitely be ordering from them in the future!

  • Leanne Schlosser

Antonelli’s is cheese heaven. Their staff will guide you to the perfect picks (with free tastings on the way). You can never go wrong with an aged gouda and triple crème Brie. They also sell Easy Tiger baguettes, various accoutrements, wine, and artisan chocolate.
