Me and my wife picked up our car from Brisbane airport without difficulties. The car we picked while booking online was a Hyundai Elantra and this is what they provided. The car had some use with just over 100,000km and showed it’s rental use. The touch screen had been burnt out by the sun because of poor design by the car maker. It didn’t have car play or gps because of its age but we didn’t pay extra for it so it was not expected. There were no car mats except for the drivers side which was obviously not approved by this make because shortly in my drive it easily slid up and over the brake and gas pedal causing a serious driving hazard. I quickly threw that in the trunk and didn’t look back. Car had a funny smell that showed when it had been sitting in the sun for awhile but easily aired out. It drove nicely and I was overall happy with my rental especially at the price we paid for 2 weeks which was about $250usd with after hours drop off and one way travel. We used this car to drive from Brisbane to Cairns over 2 weeks and it treated us well for its purpose and no more. The late drop off process could be improved and I believe the driver could benefit from some basic customer service classes and etiquette. If you do rent from Apex, keep your confirmation email because that’s the only time you’ll ever have access to it again. You will not be able to see your reservation online or check it any other way. Being that I booked this rental a month or more prior to arrival and then spent almost a month in Australia it was hard to locate this email to find my drop off instructions. The instructions provided upon pickup of the car only provide the location and a number that has no use if it’s after business hours. I scheduled to drop off the car at 3am for our early morning flight out of Cairns and just hoped that when I arrived at the rental place there would be some instructions there to drop off your rental after hours. Around 7 hours before my drop off time I received an email from apex to confirm my drop off time and how many passengers I would have. I responded at 10pm with this information along with a question on how to contact the shuttle, I never received a response back. The email did include a tip that the shuttle leaves every 15 minutes for the airport, it did not provide any information as to where the pickup was located. Upon arrival at Apex a few minutes after 3am, it was dark, the gates were locked, lights were out and there were no instructions on how to drop a car off after hours. I began calling multiple numbers hoping I would get ahold of someone or hear a recording with drop off information, all ended with no response. I then took a chance by calling what looked like a number in the email address by apex which happened to be the shuttle drivers number. She responded and was quite sassy immediately. I asked if she was my shuttle driver and she said, “ did you read the email? It said the shuttle comes every 15minutes, I just drove by you and seen you arrive.” I did read my email, and just so you know, I’m not car watching at 3am while I’m attempting figure out your return process of the car. I the proceeded to ask her if she had any way to contact Apex since I do not have any return instructions for the car and no one seems to be answering. She quickly responded with, “if you were listening I’m going to accept your car and I am your shuttle that leaves every 15minutes to the airport.” Excuse me if I didn’t assume you were picking up car rentals and driving the airport shuttle. I had also parked in front of the gate when I arrived and the shuttle lady had a sass comment about, “next time don’t park in front of the gate because I Would’ve done this inside.” Which this was also not obvious since there wasn’t a soul in sight, the gate had a huge lock on in, and the area was poorly lit with no lights on at the apex rental area. I asked if she wanted me to move but was quickly responded with, “you don’t understand? To early and not awake? That’s okay throw your bags in and I’ll take you to the airport.”

Overall, disappointing. The booking process was simple, the staff member i dealt with was wonderful. However, when we called to advise we arrived at Brisbane airport, it went to a voicemail, i left a message with no call back, while we could see the van to take us to there site drive past (we were not quite down yet) After waiting 25 minutes with no call back, i rang again and got through to a simple "sorry about that we will pick you up now" This is where we signed the paperwork, staff was nice and a simple process. The car had a fowl smell, but we thought it could be a product used in it or anything. After driving the 2 hours to where we were staying, it was obvious there was a bubble in a tire and very rough on the highway, i thought i should ring them to advise, but again, no answer, i left a message. The paperwork showed the tire pressures were all 38psi (too high for a small car) but the fronts were 28 and the rear 38, i had to put it all to 32psi and it helped. The handbrake needed adjusting it was useless. After a couple more days driving from Noosa to the Gold Coast, it was obvious that someone had vomited or spilled something and the smell was horrendous, after the car was sitting there overnight we had to have windows down for the first 20 minutes of the trip. I attempted to ring about this as the theme parks we were visiting wasn't far from the rental place and was hoping for a swap or fix, but again, no answer, voicemail not left as it seemed pointless. Upon returning the car, we were served by the same lady, again lovely, but she noticed the breaks on moving it, but didn't say anything more to us as she was busy and on the phone when we were leaving. She is the only reason for the 2 star, not the one. The car drove fine, the procedure was fine, but getting through to them seemed impossible and very little follow up when i did ring. The car was also below standard with the clean, not bad enough to leave a bad review, but previous people obviously had a GPS on the windscreen and oily hands moving it, i had to clean that once at our accommodation. Overall, i wont use them again simply because these minor problems could have been easily resolved with a small follow up.

If I could rate 0 stars I would. Given a car with a flat tire, and no gps , we were unable to drive it back as it was flat we were told to change it ourselves to avoid a charge for RACQ there weren't any tools in the car to change it so they waved the fee. We were told on returning the car to bring it in at 7:15am before they open to sort out the tire situation before there shuttle left at 7:30am. We and another couple were waiting outside till the workers arrived and were all told that we had to wait till 7:30am and we should have paied for after hours return even after trying to explain what we had been told they didn't listen and locked us out, closer to 7:30 my partner knocked on the door to try get anyone to see us and we spoke to a nicer woman at the desk to told us she would ask someone to help us. Then the driver of the shuttle came and rudely told my wife she was hurrassing the staff and slamed the door on her. I went up and knocked he came out again very aggressively saying that I had been bulling the staff all morning and he slamed the door on me too, extremely surprised at the bulling comment as I'd not spoken to any of there employees at all that morning I'd said somthing a long the lines of what a %$@$ he reared around opened the door and with a raised voice told us all that's it your not getting a lift to the airport now. We waited till 7:30 the driver had clearly been spoken to or somthing we dropped off the car and they took us to the airport. We expressed our grievances with Apex car rentals and we got some generic sorry that you wernt satisfied with us email in response. Long story short I would never rent from here again and if I were you spend that little but extra and get a car from a place that's auctualy at the airport so u save yourself waiting for a shuttle bus and poor customer service.

Would’ve been a LOT cheaper across the road from us. I also left my wallet in the car. A nice wallet that was worth a lot to me with a lot of cash in it that I was using for my travels to void currency exchange fees. I called them with in a few days once I was 100% sure it was left in the car. I then funnily enough received a call from them a few weeks later to be notified they found my wallet. So I drove all the way back to them to pick it up only to be handed a black torn to bits wallet that was not my wallet and the cash had been emptied. Now you might be thinking… couldn’t it have just been the people that rented the car after me that found it and stole the cash? Well most probably not because if we couldn’t have found it when we went through the car before we handed it in and then the cleaner didn’t find it the first time after they thoroughly cleaned the car then why would have the next people to hire the car have been able to find it? If the people that hired the car did find it then they would’ve been the ones to hand it in. Not the cleaner! I raised this to there attention at the desk and they do not want to know anything about it. I will be filing this with the police and hopefully they will eventually get to the bottom of this. On top of this, a relative of mine has to hire cars all the time for her job and has had the exact same thing happen to her. There is a pattern and they don’t want to help get to the bottom of it because it will ruin their reputation.

Terrible service! I booked a car months ago! I asked a lot of questions with the online help, as I had reservations after reading some of the reviews. They put my mind at ease, I booked, and paid a deposit. We were supposed to arrive in Brisbane at 5.05pm local time. However our flight was delayed on the tarmac in our departure country and once we cleared customs (where it's an office to use your cell!) It was after 6pm. Which is their closing time! Now keep in mind, they had my flight number as it is necessary for a booking, and could see our flight was delayed. They closed. Leaving us stranded in Brisbane with 2 kids, and needing to be in the Gold Coast that night. We called for an hour and a half as there is an after hours number, bo one answered. We called through to a branch as this was an option, except their branches are in NZ! Which close at 9pm, and with the 3 hour time difference its now after 10pm NZ time. So we had to hire from the airport paying top dollar as it was in the airport and we didn't book in advance. Great flipping start to our holiday. Thankfully we didn't have to pay for the booking or subsequent cancellation, but we did lose our deposit and have to pay twice as much as we had budgeted. Their email response removed all their responsibility by saying you need to book an after hours pick up, which we did not do as we should have arrived in time, and put all responsibility on to us. Disappointing experience over all.

Arrived and called for shuttle service, got no answer the furst time....called again, lady answered the phone....asked how long the bus was going to be, her reply was...."I've got no idea"? Eventually the shuttle turned up but without enough seats for everyone waiting, so my son and I held back and waited for the next one....it was gone 40mins before the same shuttle and same driver returned. All in all the service was ok, Price was fare and the car itself was new so no issues there, it was well groomed and detailed. Upon arriving back at the depot to return the car a female employee started shouting "there's no key in here...there's no key in here"! And wouldn't make eye contact with us, she simply shouted and pointed at the car? A couple of times i replied we have them here!!! But nope, she ignored me until i shouted loud enough for her to have to turn round and acknowledge me. it was clear we had just got out of the car with our luggage and were on our way into the office to hand back the key. May I suggest that next time you need to address someone, especially a customer, you walk the 30 feet towards them instead of shouting and simply ask in a normal voice ....."could you please put the keys back in the vehicle"... I couldn't find anywhere on the paperwork either that the keys where to be left in the vehicle upon return....maybe adding that to your paperwork would assist you when vehicles are returned.

It was my first time hiring a car with Apex Brisbane branch. The booking online was easy. The confirmation of the booking via email was prompt. The instruction of where to wait for the shuttle bus at Brisbane airport were sent in advance. The payment for the rental was not taken until I collected the car. Check in was a bit slow but there were many people hiring cars that morning. The car I was given was in good condition, though the driver’s seat was badly stained. It did not look good. Also I have not received straight away an email with the photos of the car from the person who checked me in. I had to call 2 hours later and another person send me an email and I was able to attached my own photos of the car, which I have taken before leaving the yard. I also have not been explained well the toll payments in case I drover through the toll bridge in Brisbane. I had to make another call 2 days later and I was able to clarify everything. Every time I called the office the phone was answered promptly and my questions were answered. I recommend to inspect a car well and take the photos of any scratches and damages before you leave the yard . The upload of the photos via the link they email you is very easy. I also purchased a full cover with Apex. I will hire a car with Apex again in the future.

I absolutely DO NOT recommend this company or branch. QLD locals have to provide 2 proofs of address upon vehicle pick up, which is not stated clearly anywhere or in the confirmation email. The employee who served me at pickup was very cold and acted as if this were common knowledge. The bond is also very expensive for locals. I used the vehicle for camping so naturally there was some dirt and debris after 5 days of use. When I returned the car, the employee said it was in an unacceptably dirty state and because of COVID it needed to be professionally cleaned by them for an extra $150. This has never happened to me when returning a hire car after camping. When I disagreed, the employee became defensive. After driving around to find a place to clean it myself, I gave the car a 5-min vacuum and a wipe down. A different employee processed me when I returned and nothing more was said. So obviously a professional clean was not necessary, and the fact that they tried to use the pandemic as a way to squeeze an extra $150 out of me is exploitative. The only redeeming thing about this company, and reason why I chose them, is their cancellation policy. But due to the terrible customer service I experienced, I will definitely not rent from this company or branch again.

Phoned them as I collected my bag as per emailed instructions and was told the shuttle was at the domestic terminal and would be there soon. Half an hour later there was no sign of the shuttle. After awhile another family who were waiting phoned the office and were told the shuttle is at the domestic terminal and will be there in 12 minutes. 12 minutes later it arrived (an hour since I’d phoned). We asked the driver what the reason for the delay was and she said she didn’t know what we were on about as she was at the international collection point 15 minutes ago. When challenged she just clammed up and appeared annoyed. The car was ok, cheap and cheerful but did the job. There were extra optional charges which would’ve pretty much doubled the quoted price if we’d taken them but I wouldn’t use them again because the customer service was disgraceful. The woman who served us once we finally got to the depot was obviously overwhelmed and kept breaking off from sorting our car out to answer the phone. We had to redirect her at one point when it looked like she might actually wander off and start serving someone else while we waited. The big thing though was the blatant lies. Lying to your customers is a sure fire way to lose them.

I hired a car from Apex Brisbane Airport, and could not fault the company, the car or the friendly service. We called the office from the airport, the shuttle arrived and it was a modern van, unlike some other companies I have used in the past. The office staff were friendly, they took photos of the car which they sent to my email account. I was also able to take my own photos and add them to the account. We spent 3 weeks driving to Cairns. The car was a Kia Cerato, and was just over year old. It was a great car with plenty of room for luggage. In Cairns, we had to extend our hire three times due to lockdowns in Melbourne, and the hire was extended at the same rate. The Cairns staff were also very friendly and helpful. We have used Apex in Adelaide and Launceston in recent times, and have always been impressed with the service and value for money. Apex was a NZ company which is now owned by Avis. They do provide a great service for an off airport company, and are far cheaper than the big airport companies. I cannot recommend them enough.

We chose Apex car rentals for their affordable prices. We booked a simple five seater with zero excess, and were provided with a reliable car which made the 36 hour plus journey from Brisbane to Port Douglas and back, very comfortable. The shuttle service was very reliable in picking us up and dropping us to the airport. Shirley was a great staff member who was very polite and provided all the pieces of information required for the car. We had paid for and received a car that was slightly old and the air conditioning was perfect for the city but was not supportive of the drive through the dry areas of Queensland. So, for anyone looking to drive longer distances, we would recommend chipping more money for a newer car, otherwise, we had no qualms with our car model. The staff were also very helpful in returning things we had forgotten in the car, which is beyond excellent. Would recommend renting a car with Apex to all those traveling with a budget and would ourselves rent from Apex again. :)

We started with a positive shuttle pick up experience with only a 2 minute wait which was great. Fortunately others before us had already set This in motion. On arriving there were plenty of staff available to process our pick ups. Despite having completed all of the online paperwork, it then seems their process is to complete all the details again on paper. The process took over 45 minutes with lots of photo copying, printing and general nonsense. I was told I'd have to take insurance. I didn't but I did have to pay $2750 bond which they put on my credit card. That was my choice. On returning the car, the same person served us and didn't return the bond. I had to follow up and ask for the money to be returned to my card. It's possible this review is only reflective of the individual incompetence of the person who served me. I will let you decide. What I can say is on our next trip we hired through someone else, our check in and car collection took 7 minutes and a $100 bond was held.

We had a mixed experience with Apex. It got off to a very bad start. When we arrived at Brisbane Airport I followed instructions and phoned them as soon as I got out of Customs. However they didn’t answer the phone. We then found the shuttle meeting place outside, however there were a number of unhappy customers waiting. They didn’t have space on the shuttle that did turn up so we got left behind. In total we waited about 40 minutes for a shuttle with space. We thought our problems would be over then, however when we got the Apex premises there was a long queue to do the paperwork and collect the car. In total the time between my original phone call and driving away in a car was 1.5 hours. The good things are the hire cost was good, the staff were very nice and we got a free vehicle upgrade. In addition the drop-off at the end of our trip went very smoothly.

We were left waiting at Brisbane airport for over an hour along with 4 groups (all independent) who had arrived on the same flight from NZ, eventually we hitched a ride with Ace Rentals as no-one at Apex was answering the phone, and shuttle didn't turn up. The manager lady basically would not believe that we had all been ringing the apex number given in their online documentation, became stroppy and aggressive, before realising that they were the problem and not her clients. In her defence, she finally came to the party, and credited us with one days rental. There is a big problem if this company cannot redflag a bunch of arrivals who have not arrived to pick up their vehicles and your defence is to attack. This is a kiwi founded company, look at yourselves. We are forever grateful to the man from Ace Rentals who delivered us to your door at no charge.

This was the first time I rented a car from Apex. I rented a car as always threw Kayak, a searching app to locate a nearby car rental in a reasonable price. I always prefer to use car rentals with branches so I can have the option to drop off the car in a deferent location but this time, I was informed that because I made the booking with a third party as I usually apparently do, I must return the car to Brisbane and not to Sydney's branch... I called to Apex branches and send mails and to the third party but no one seem to care enough to assist... Now I need to drive all the way back from Sydney to Brisbane (10 hour drive) just to drop off the car... This is the first and last time I am using Apex car rental services and thats a promise...

I can not recommend this company enough. The shuttle service from the airport was so convenient and they were very helpful when seeking location of pick up. On arrival to APEX we were greeted by a friendly and very professional staff member who explained everything in simple, easy to understand terms. Please remember to bring your actual licence, a photo of your licence won't be enough and this is completely understandable. They explained tolls and how they would work. It was seamless and so helpful. On returning the vehicle we received the same amazing service and then a stress free shuttle ride back to the airport. Excellent service, great staff with a great attitude. A wonderful beginning to our Queensland trip. Thank you

Ive always used the big name hire companies that are based at the airport on all my holidays but this time I took a risk and went with the apex because the price wasn't just a little bit cheaper but alot cheaper. I was also worried about how much stuff around it would be not being at based brisbane airport. After a quick call after landing we found the shuttle bus was waiting for us and it was a short drive down the road. The hire car was basically new with only 20000ks on the clock and it ran well all week. The staff is what made me realize that I had made the right choice, everyone I dealt with was so friendly, helpful and efficient.This company is easily the best hire company I have ever dealt with.

Thanks Apex. I had the best experience renting a car. Easy to book and pick up. They have a shuttle bus which picked us up from the airport and we were taken straight to their depot.Everything was explained clearly, no hidden costs. I had an accident and when reporting to Apex they were so understanding, they were more worried about myself and my passenger, that we were ok than the car. Returning the car was easy and they had most of the paperwork ready to fill out, I spent little time completing the paperwork and we were on our way to the airport. All the staff from booking to being shuttled to and from the airport were so great. I will definitely be booking our next and future cars through Apex.

Overall good service, but there are a few points which it would be good to improve to be more competitive in the market: 1. There is a need to more transparent with customer. When you are delaying the shuttle bus for more than 15 minutes, be honest with the customer and tell them the actual waiting time. 2. Do not inform the customer's that you got a hybrid car for them to appear it is a petrol. I booked a normal car, so you did not have to tell me something which appeared to be incorrect. 3. Car need to be maintained to be appropriate to hold the company reputation. Check out the attached photos for some images about the condition of the car I hired. Other than that, I think the service was ok.

UNWARRANTED call into this office to handover credit card details and licence copies in order to confirm our vehicles ordered in Christchurch as it turned out the air New Zealand changed our flights and therefore car has to be collected after hours. The lovely staff never looked after us extremely well but the office in New Zealand stuffed up, when she forwarded our information to Christchurch. Car was not booked for after hours and created much stress for us at international airport when we got a call saying otherwise. Absolute mayhem ensued for us as our Brisbane office wasn’t open to fix this issue. Cheers guys. Christchurch that is. Cheers big ears. Never again sorry

One of the best car rental services that I have ever experienced within Australia and overseas. Staffs were friendly and nice. Services and car rental process were super quick and easy, no stress or worries. Price was reasonable too even for full coverage, no excess. Free to add extra drivers. No bond needed if you are from interstate but if you are locals, from Brisbane, bond is required. Ensure you have your hard copy licence too if you are the drivers. They gave us the newest 2022 car model which was so great on petrol efficiency. They also offer airport transportation if needed. Overall, great experience with Apex car rental brisbane airport. Highly recommended!

During 2023 I have started using Apex Car Rentals after 30 years with the major rental car firms. Apex are approx. half the cost of the major operators and the only real difference is taking their shuttle service outside of the respective airports. Brisbane branch has very good and friendly staff and Mel is one of their shuttle bus operators who went out of her way yesterday to take the shuttle passengers to the domestic terminal due to flight departure times become urgent. Mel was able to read the play and adjust her schedules so that everyone had a win. Its that kind of customer service that will keep Apex winning more business from the major players.

I had a great experience with Apex in Brisbane. I followed their instructions for pickup when I arrived and their shuttle arrived promptly to pick us up. Their staff were friendly and courteous, offering us maps for our return with petrol stations that were close by listed. After our rental was done and we were at the airport about to board our flight, my wife realized that she lost a precious, hand made craft that she was working on for a Christmas present. The last place she saw it was in the Apex shuttle van. So after a quick phone call, the staff located it in the van and arranged to post it home to us. That is service over and above expectations

I do not recommend this company at all if you live in Brisbane and want to hire a car which I do. I booked a car for family from the UK staying with me. When I paid for the booking via phone I was not told me about the bond I would have to pay because I am local of $2700. I found out about this when called by the Brisbane office. Then when my friend called to find out about the bond he was informed it is charged because "locals have stolen our cars" as the excuse for the bond charge. I now have to wait up to 10 days for a refund for a car my brother was supposed to collect tonight because of misinformation provided to me.

I hired 2 cars from the Gold Coast to transport my family around. The driver picked us up from the Airport and drove us to collect our cars which was a two minute drive away. He was very friendly, and so helpful. We took out the Works Package on both cars, and found Apex to be much cheaper. We could have as many drivers as we wanted and a GPS was included as well, all with no extra charge.Having nil excess was a godsend, as I put a dent in the front bumper. When I took the car back I just had to fill out a form, and that was all. I will definitely use them again. I cannot fault them. Cheers Jenny from Sydney

Significantly cheaper price INCLUDING full insurance, no excess + roadside assistance. It cost us only $40 in petrol for our travels staying in Brisbane and travelling to/from both Australia Zoo and Sea World/Surfers Paradise. An absolute steal pricewise and necessity. We will never travel without a car again. The whole team on both arrival and departure were so kind. I've used apex in both Adelaide and Brisbane' and would use them again. Shuttle to and from airport doesn't take long. We were lucky and jumped straight on at the airport and only had a short wait to get back to the airport.

We called in to the city centre office on a Sunday and spoke with Ryan. He was extremely professional and courteous and explained all the charges and how the toll roads work. We picked the car up the next day and it was in good condition and clean inside. We returned the vehicle to the airport and Sherilla took us to the terminal in the shuttle bus. She was so friendly and professional and also a very good driver, taking evasive action when someone pulled in front of us with no warning! There were no hidden charges with Apex and they were very easy to deal with. Would recommend.

very disappointing experience. Waited 35 minutes for shuttle bus from Brisbane airport - first one arrived, filled up immediately . Driver was very offhand, no apology and wouldnt advise when next shuttle would arrive. Finally got collected, and got advised at depot that they didnt have a car allocated to us yet - had to wait ANOTHER half hour until care had been prepared for us. And I had booked months ago, they had our flight details, and ETA. Again, no apologies. Totally unacceptable, will not use these guys again. Positive note - the car was fine .. once we got it.

We were very pleased with our rental experience at Apex. They had the best price we could find anywhere else and we were able to secure a discount by booking through the AirNZ App. The car was new, comfortable and fuel efficient. The staff at this location are exceptional and we must give a special shout out to Shiralee who is just a magnificent human with a pure soul. She was so thoughtful and caring and ensured we had a shuttle to the airport location that was a bit closer The shuttle driver was fantastic as well - friendly and efficient. Great experience overall!

Terrible service. We had to wait half an hour for our first pick up from the airport. When we came to drop the car off and head back to the airport, the "courtesy" bus was full and they said they would be back in 20 minutes. 45 minutes later they returned and we got into the bus. We were told that they had to drop people off at the international airport before us. We informed them that there was a high chance of us missing our flight but it was pretty much "too bad". So be prepared to wait a lot with this company. You need more than one courtesy bus clearly.

Never rented a car before always been scared too re stories of damage n huge bills. How ever have rented cars with apex in Brisbane and one in Melbourne. There's no fear with apex only $23 to avoid that risk. Fast easy booking no km limited. Just return full. Cars are neat inside. A little scratched up on the outside but we'll maintained n reliability. Cheep on fuel to run. $15in fuel took me over 300km. Was late back easy to deal with just called n they fixed it. The staff at both Melbourne and Brisbane airports were grate easy to deal with true Aussies.

Great car rental experience. Sufficient to make another booking with the same company in Christchurch, NZ later in the year. Although it is located off site from the Airport, there is an easy coach pick up and then a no fuss documentation and you are on your way. Kia mid range sedan clocked over 100K during the rental and did not miss a beat. Perhaps a tad slower than the ones over the road from the terminal, but for the price we paid and the service we were given, Apex Car Rentals will be our car rental firm of choice in Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

I have used Apex on many occasions throughout Australia and find their service quite good, although making us wait at the airport for 45 minutes to be picked up could be considered poor customer service. That said, the process to collect the vehicle is quite slick whilst the material condition of the car is always good. Cost wise; they out price competitors by a wide margin and I recommend the comprehensive insurance option when renting thereby reducing the excess to $0. Recommended as a preferred car hire vendor.

Apex was good in opinion. The pickup drivers were fantastic in engaging in conservations, both arrival and departure. The office guys were of great assistance. The vehicle we had was clean and looked very good for what was advertised, actually. Compared to most of their competitors, apex rental price was much better and cheaper. The only demerit is, we were not told of the fuel type to get. We needed to call and clarify that. Aside that, i believe Apex is really good, particularly for prices.

Great prices, have a great reputation in NZ, booked in Brisbane, Unfortunately caught someone on a bad day, called for shuttle for a 730am booking, after a long flight with my 7yr old, no voicemail, just a rather abrupt lady saying “we don’t open until 730am call back” then hung up on.. Service generally top class this time round pretty disappointed - feedback would be even a simple vm would help & maybe not charge until 8am ? If not getting picked up until after 730am ?

This place is ok. Fairly cheap for size of car but lacks the service that comes with the big companies. Didnt get the car I ordered and got the standard free upgrade however the car was in pretty bad shape.. hail damage and over 100,000kms with rough interior. Only kept because I had to arrange to come back to pick up the car I ordered which was inconvenient. The shuttle service to and from airport is a hassle also. Waited over 15mins both times even when calling ahead.

Absolutely A1 service from this team. Couldn't fault it. I had a car hire booked with 2 kids car seats and the whole process of shuttle pick up from airport to their premises, the admin and then getting into the car was seamless - as was our return journey. What lovely, considerate and genuine folk. We had to return our car early even due to the lockdown in Brisbane and it was no worries, and refunded the days we missed. Will definitely use Apex Brisbane Airport again.

As always I found the staff super friendly (even if they all have a Kiwi accent) Nothing personal 'Bro. The check-in and check-out systems work very well. The SUV was almost new and a pleasure to drive. The shuttle service between the airports and the vehicle depot is very efficient and quicker than using an onsite rental firm. Have been using Apex for a couple of years at different airports and service is consistently very good 5 and a half start out of 5. Thanks.

Honestly with the weather the last few days heavy rain and certain spots flooding... they worked with me returning the hire car, they went above and beyond for me, as I'm pregnant and was in distress about what to do with the heavy rains and the car, I decided to just drop it off and they worked with my mind changing a couple off times and making things easier on me lol...i will hire a car through them again any time. A really good experience. Great price for the car – really check to check-in with everything walked through – brilliant car! – very quick drop-off – easy to drop back and shuttle to the airport! Finding the petrol station (Ampol) to fill up the car before dropping off was a touch challenging. Perhaps some more clarity around where to find this. However, Google Maps found it easy - but this may help other customers. Overall though - thanks again!

Great Price. Speedy Shuttle to and from Airport. The Office Staff were very friendly and efficient & we were away without fuss. Hired a Mitsubishi Outlander - the vehicle was late model and did the job beautifully. Returned with a full tank, filling at one of the petrol stations marked on the map by the staff. I would highly recommend them and have rebooked the same vehicle from their Gold Coast Office for another trip in a few weeks. Sep 2016.

When we arrived at Brisbane Airport we were told to phone their office. Unfortunately, there was no reply. Went to the pick-up area, and eventually, our shuttle van turned up. Once at the office, the service was slow (lunchtime!!) but staff friendly. Price was reasonable, but bear in mind if you want a zero excess, it will cost another $22.75 / day. Very quick service when returning car and shuttle ride to airport. Will use them again.

We have used apex I think 8 x before,we always had a hyundai i30 or similar,this time we booked , no hyundai's at all ,so I picked a suzuki baleno,what a piece of rubbish,there is nothing good about it ,scary at 100 kmh and worse if wind around ,I checked tyre pressures,and set them to manual specs no differant,also radio hopeless ,and fuel economy hopeless,when I returned it ,I spoke to them ,they agreed the baleno is rubbish to drive

Hired a 12 seater van for a week and got an amazing rate. The booking process was a breeze and you could see how much it would cost upfront. Great company to hire from. Easy online rental process. Quick to answer their phones and the whole process is stress free,exactly what you want for your holidays. The SUV we hired was modern,safe and spacious. We were collected and dropped off from Brisbanes Airport in their shuttle. Plenty of room for all our luggage and even fitted a carseat for our infant. That was the highlight of their service. Highly reccomend.

Not really a lot good to say. Long wait for pickup in the heat at the International terminal. Driver was abrupt and made us feel like a nuisance. Issues with USB connection which we relied on for navigation. Didn't exactly get what we expected but the equivalent vehicle provided was gutless and auto had issues shifting. Handover on return was a far better experience and the shuttle to airport guy was much friendlier.

Hired a car for about 2 weeks in Brisbane. To tell you the truth, I was a little bit worried about hiring a car from this company especially after reading the negative reviews but... I am so glad I chose Apex. All the ladies in the office were polite, friendly and helpful. The service was quick and just great! Extremely expensive. Our flight was at a time that we couldn't top of the fuel so we returned the car with a half full tank, they then charged us an extra $71 for 20L of fuel. On top of that we had booked a couple weeks before and requested a larger vehical and when we got there they had us in a small car. Very disappointed in the company and will not be coming back here for our next rental.

I usually go with Budget but Apex was half the price with full insurance, so decided to try them out. The shuttle from the airport was quick and easy. No waiting, we got our car within 10mins and were off on holiday. They also upgraded our car to a hybrid which saved us $$$. I'm so happy with the whole process. Also the staff were so lovely and helpful. Can't rate them high enough.

Have used Apex rental in Brisbane over 15 times. Never a problem, always good service. Always get the full cover deal, still way ahead of the others....I am in Avis preferred for 20 years and only use for business as the private rate is double of Apex...no hidden costs with Apex. So glad when Avis bought Apex they retained the Apex philosophy on reasonable rental prices.

Very good service at counter and the shuttle. Staff is honest and show the existing scratch on the car for record. Best in price i would say in term of rental, including child seat per hire instead of per day for other rental company. Besides this, the insurance coverage include free 2nd driver and lower charge for better coverage were very attractive compare to other.

Three staff at counter, three customers including us, we waited over half an jour to be served, staff were unknowlegable, Then found out they dont take cash. Then refused my Qld drivers licence, i was asked to leave after stating abruptly what kind of business they are running. I strongly advise using a different car rental. Very unprofessional. I reserved two cars and picked up two medium dirt ones. We and another couple had to wait plus that 40 minutes to their shuttle service have us to the pickup point. All their delays aren’t counted when we asked about the drop off time. They have a huge agreement term, but when we dropped off the car they even gave any receive that all was indeed fine with the car.

First time using a shuttle service after booking through an online booking site, so a little confusing about which van to enter when I arrived at the airport pick up bay. When I asked the Apex driver if I had chosen the right place, she rudely said I should check the outside of the truck for the name, where it says Apex. At least I know who not to use next time.

Have used Apex at Brisbane Airport many times over years. Shuttle service is good, staff excellent and very friendly to deal with and hire rates very acceptable. Latest hire a few weeks ago, they didn't have vehicle booked so was upgraded to higher spec vehicle with no extra charge. Will continue to use in the future, highly recommend them.

You have to call on arrival at the airport for the shuttle. The driver was a pure joy, happy, friendly and helpful. Short ride to the rental center. The staff inside is friendly and efficient. They walk you out to the car, and you get an email with the pics of the state of the car at pickup. So far so good with them. Would use them again.

When ever I need rental cars I prefer apex car rentals. Sometimes pick up locations are outside of airports but its not a problem at all. Bargain rates and good cars are complement. This time from Brisbane I was given a brand new (15km on the clock) i30 to drive. No issues with booking process and airport pick up and drop offs.

Arrived at 1350 on a Saturday to return my vehicle and was denied the shuttle service because they were closing in 3 mins, when I showed them the time I was told that last shuttle leaves at 1330 and is at the airport, (the shuttle was sitting in the carpark)and I would have to get a uber. Wont be using this service again.

Apex car rentals were fantastic all the way through our holiday. Covid made us make many changes and they accommodated us at every turn. SE Qld locked down 4 days before we were due to return and Apex had absolutely no issues refunding us the difference. I would highly recommend them and will certainly use them again.

Absolute chaos. Showed up at my pickup time just to wait for an hour in line before seeing someone. Service was poor and they were also clearly frustrated by the large number of the cars booked. If you are dropping off make sure to give yourself plenty of time or you will miss your flight.

i struggle to understand the logic behind a 2:30pm close time on a weekend? customer facing staff were great both on pick up and drop off - the management that clearly don’t do weekends need to probably shut down excel for a few reporting periods and do a few weekends.

Completely misleading is not based at the airport, is a bus ride away & you cannot leave the car until 7.30am so incredibly inconvenient if you’re flying out around that time. Would Not recommend
