By far the best experience I have had with martial arts. There is a welcoming friendly atmosphere. The instructors are knowledgable, flexible and extremely supportive. Their teaching style fosters a cooperative and fun attitude in the students. I have been going to this school for several years and can't recommend it enough!

Started almost three years ago and it was an introduction into a great lifestyle and community that I am going to pursue for as long as I can. Coach Tim runs a great beginners class and my other instructors Proffesor Jon and Professor Neil make learning fun and challenging with their different styles and technique.

I've attended classes with almost every instructor here and they are all deeply knowledgeable, great communicators with a sense of humour, and, most importantly, are friendly and welcoming to everyone who steps on the mats. It's easy to tell their leadership has influenced their students to carry the same traits.

Was looking for a place to start training BJJ after my last gym has closed. After checking out Arashi-Do I was really impressed by the atmosphere and just how overwhelming welcoming everyone is. Professor Mike is great at really breaking everything down so that it is both easy to learn and very safe.

The most welcoming atmosphere you could hope for, along with truly top notch instruction. I have trained here for ten months and have no intention on stopping. I recommend this school unreservedly, to anybody interested in fitness, self defence, martial arts, exercise, and fun!

My son really enjoys the Jr. Karate classes. They are challenging and rewarding. Each class runs 45 minutes and begins with warm-up exercises such as jogging, jumping jacks, situps etc. The class incorporates techniques for punching, kicking, sparing, and kata.

This place is truly amazing! my son joined the Maui thai class a little over a year ago and he loves it! It has been such a positive experience for him. The staff is wonderful and everyone is very welcoming and kind! I highly recommend Arashi-Do!

My daughter has been a student here for over 5 years, the class teaches so much more than a healthy lifestyle, it teaches patience, discipline, sportsmanship, self defence and so much more....and she just thinks it's fun. I highly recommend

Some other martial arts gyms don't really teach you legit techniques that would work in actual sport competition/self defense. They may even try to make you a black belt in 1 year. Those places are called McDojos and are total scams because

I've been training for around four years now at Arashi-Do North and I must say the atmosphere created here is very welcoming for beginners. The instruction is world class and they offer a wide range of classes for all ages and skill levels.

Professor Mike is not only professional, but also a thoughtful and empathetic teacher. Time after time he has shown genuine concern and eagerness to help and develop the skills of all his students. It is clear that he legitimately loves it

I just want to say that the ENTIRE CREW at Arashi-do on St Albert trail are truly amazing people!! The way the professors and staff train these children and young adults is second to none as far as I'm concerned!! My son goes to this place

Attended a "drop in" jiu jitsu class. Everyone was in full gi attire and I was told they were most of the way through a belt progression. Instructor was friendly and the other students were welcoming, but it was very offputting that their

I trained here for two years and it really is an awesome place. The community is welcoming and full of great people. Ego doesn't seem to play a role when it comes to sparring. Those with more experience are eager to share their knowledge.

I started coming here about a month ago using the one month free trial. I have never done Jiu Jitsu before. I was placed in the beginner class that Tim was teaching. Tim is a great teacher and made me feel welcome right away. The classes

Absolutely rude. Absolutely arrogant. Absolutely unprofessional. I called them to get information about the different programs but they kept insisting that I come to their institution. After that the so called owner came on the phone and

I've been lucky enough to know the Arashi Do family for the past four years. My husband, Tyson, has been training with Professor Mike for ten years now and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu has been a major aspect of his life. I don't train in martial

Terrific place with talented and friendly instructors. Muay Thai classes cater to beginners as well as more advanced students. Very welcoming and non-intimidating environment. It is clear that the staff are not just in it for the money;

I've been a part of numerous martial arts schools across Western Canada for the better part of 30 years. This being said, Arashi-Do has impressed me on so many levels it's difficult to recount them all.

I have been training in this location for over a month now, after a long hiatus. The environment is welcoming and friendly. I have only good things to say about the BJJ classes I have been attending.

Best place to learn a martial arts, the instructor is very detail in what he is teaching, and it is a very welcoming atmosphere. Really great with children and you can watch their confidence grow.

Phenomenal gym with tremendous instructors. Lots of different types of classes available during different times (evening or lunch) so you can make your way to the gym one way or another.
