Espere ocho meses para escribir esto, lo que tengo que decir de está funeraria es poco con lo que quisiera expresar, hace 8 meses mi madre falleció y contratamos los servicios de esta funeraria, fue la peor decisión, personas sin humanidad, ventajosas y sin ética. El servicio que se requirió fue trasladar el cuerpo a Mexico vía aérea y que la llevarían a una funeraria en Mexico y de ahí trasladar al lugar de origen así fue el trato que se hizo, pero cuando ya se acercaba el día del velorio nos enteramos de que la iban a trasladar por tierra lo cual significa que nos mintieron además de que no llegó a una funeraria en Mexico si no, a una iglesia, el trato se hizo con la persona llamada Kathy y por Tel con el dueño Arteaga con ambos se habló de lo mismo, desde un principio se notó nada de profesionalismo y la prisa por firmar el contrato sin dar mucha información era obvio que les importaba firmar antes que dar información, se eligió un ataúd color blanco, el día del velorio estaba en uno color gris, ellos le pusieron el color que quisieron, se pidió que el ataúd estuviera cerrado completamente por que esa fue la voluntad de mi madre y lo encontramos destapado además de que se entregó una sábana para que se tapara el cuerpo y tampoco la tenía, el trato fue fue por $6000 dls y después cobraron $600 dls mas supuestamente por que tenia que hacer más trabajo con los químicos para prepararla todo fue una mentira y se tardaron varios días antes de darnos una fecha para el velorio, mi padre estaba tan mal que no se percató que en el contrato no decía nada sobre los puntos más importantes, sobre el traslado, sobre el costó en su totalidad, el servicio fue pésimo en su totalidad, claro al principio se portó muy amable tanto Kathy como Arteaga pero solo fue cuestión de que mi papá reclamara sobre puntos que estaban haciendo mal, fue suficiente para que ellos cambiar su actitud totalmente eran persona totalmente diferentes a las supuestas personas amables que demostraron ser, es solo una fachada, ha sido mi primer experiencia perdiendo a un ser querido y la peor con ese pésimo servicio, este tipo de negocios con este personas con tanta falta de humanidad que lo únic que les importa es el dinero. Si pudiera les pondría cero estrella no merecen ni una. Personas horribles de corazón

Where do I even begin. The service received from this funeral home was awful to say the least. It started with the difficulties of dealing with the owner during this time. Besides the ridiculous price gouging for pretty much nothing, the director was very unprofessional and unpleasant. Upon arrival she was on her phone at the table, then moved to the couch again on her phone, no one even knew she was the director everyone thought she was a guest. It wasn't till the comment was made that did anyone work there that she overheard and finally acknowledged with an attitude that if we needed something. She seemed annoyed that she actually had to get off her phone to attend to anyone. She was dressed very unprofessional in a short dress and tennis shoes, didn't know how to set up the TV for the memorial video and directed the family to figure it out. She then stood at the podium again on her phone laughing at her text messages or whatever was on her phone. Then we waited 30 minutes longer for the owner who was in shorts to finish with his outside workers before he could tend to anyone and the director said she needed the pallbearers to get the arrangements carried out to speed things up because we were running late. We used Juan Arteaga for my father's funeral a year and a half ago at another funeral home and got great service for half the price and more options. Here we paid a ridiculous amount of money for pretty much nothing and almost double the price. I guess poking people's eyes during a difficult time is the way to make money these days. It's sad how we were taken advantage of and price gouged all to make a buck. I DO NOT RECOMMEND! Do your research there's way better and cheaper than this place. Notice how after each bad review there's a good one? Don't fall for it. We will never use this funeral home again or recommend to anyone. They clearly lacked dignity, quality compassion and professionalism.

He provided me with updates, documentation, explanations, and I really appreciated it. He has the ability to handle logistical matters with efficiency and professionalism was truly commendable. He coordinated with other points of contact and ensured that everything ran smoothly. His organizational skills alleviated much of the burden during this challenging time, allowing us to focus on honoring and remembering our loved one. His kind words, patience, and understanding truly made a difference in helping us navigate the emotional rollercoaster of grief. I recommend Juan to anyone seeking compassionate and professional funeral services. His dedicated team exceeded our expectations, and he was meant to lead a funeral home. Gracias Juan por todo!

I do not know where to begin. My best friend recently lost her brother and funeral arrangements were made at this funeral home. I have to say this was a very unprofessional and disrespectful service I have ever attended. From the moment the service began the girl that "was to be directing the service" was on her phone from beginning to the end. She was not prepared AT ALL, and I mean in her appearance to her assisting the family during this time of their loss. The family was waiting to pay their final respects to their family member and this girl was standing at the podium just scrolling on her phone, I even took pictures. When attending a viewing I have never seen from the employees to the owner dressed in shorts and sport shoes, and the girl was in sport shoes a long trench coat and her hair up with a elastic. When we finally got to pay our final respects and we were about to leave, she then tells the pall bearers that to speed up the process she needed help loading the flowers, I witnessed these men mourning their loss, not "helping" but actually loading all the flowers. For the amount of money that was paid for this funeral one would expect a professional appearance of all staff, for the staff that is employed to perform their duties accordingly. and to make sure that there is enough staff to completely do the service they are being paid for! I WOULD NOT recommend this funeral home to ANYONE!! The family suffered a loss of their loved one and paid a very hefty price to trust that the services will be completely be taken in professional and respectful manner, not having the family having to perform services that were paid for!!!

Arteaga Funeral Home is an amazing business overall. Since the day I contacted them in regards to my husband's passing, Mr. Arteaga (the actual owner) has been very compassionate and understanding to all that we had going on. He showed me and my family so much support, understanding, care, and help that no one else in this type of business would. Trust me, we contacted several places & they all were the same: rude, quick to get off the phone, cold, etc. Those other places just acted like many funeral homes, "just another dead body" for them. No, not with Arteaga Funeral Home, it was the total opposite. We truly felt the sincerity in Mr. Juan Arteaga's whole demeanor. He was very understanding in all our needs and made it so easy for us throughout the whole process and then some. This man went above and beyond for our family. My love's service was beautiful and not any less. His daughter Kathy, was extremely helpful that day too. All of their attitudes and help were heartwarming, caring, and very supportive. It is also a very affordable place & even then, he will work with you in any way possible. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone. I am beyond satisfied for the overall service given to us. ARTEAGA FUNERAL HOME The Funeral Director and the Pallbearers just put my son's (Ramon) body in the Hearse after Funeral service. I was wondering if there was a chance he could still be alive. But no God had already taken away the pain. When I say service, I truly mean excellence. I am picky and I ask alot of questions I read the reviews online about Arteaga Funeral Home and i thought, all these families, in their grief could not be making this up, i am going to call him. I was greeted by the most pleasant voice i was wondering if he sells ice cream onstead. Juan Arteaga is so cheerful, I know he has been placed in his calling From the first conversation to the last moment he shut the door of the Hearst, was never short of dignified service. In my grief. I was able to recognize that he was not just giving a service but he was doing the work of a true servant. Not one moment did i have to worry how to get anything done. I can Honestly say, with Arteaga Funeral Director, Juan Arteaga, my family was satisfied that our loved one was in good hands, and got great service. Thank you. God bless you Juan Arteaga

I'm a welding contractor that helped Juan get the place open...I did a bunch of work for him for an agreed price including putting in light poles welding light fixtures to the poles fabricating cover plates for the parking lot replacing his gate wheels installing all the underground conduit before the concrete was poured cleaning out a drain removing and replacing the gate track and installed a sign and sign pole...he didn't pay anything up front I covered all the materials and I was helping this guy out casue he was just opening up and he cancelled payment on the check and then finally gives me another check for a $1000 which doesn't even cover the cost of materials...he is dishonest and his word means nothing so imagine the shortcuts hes taking when it comes to your deceased loved ones? Steer clear of this guy he ripped me off knowing full well he wouldn't have gotten open without me. Contractors definitely beware and get paid up front because your gonna be left losing money when it's all said and done. Everything I've said is true and have documentation to back everything up.

I was very pleased with the level of service I got here. From the very beginning Juan was made this difficult process as easy as possible. After calling so many funeral homes and feeling like they were trying to take advantage of the situation by charging an arm and a leg, Juan and his family really made this easy. Katherine did the makeup and listened to everything I asked for and made my sister look beautiful. I also had a few other requests and they always made sure that they did everything they possibly could to make the requests happen. This is a family run business, and they actually take turns being there for the services. They always made sure that they provided a respectable amount of space where I didn't feel overwhelmed by their presence, but always in eyes distance for when something was needed. I appreciated the entire experience they provided during this very difficult time. If you're looking for a business that actually cares about you and the situation that you are in, and isn't thinking of you as a number, then look no further. Thank you guys for everything!

The most unprofessional service I have ever been to. Family arriving was wondering who was in charge as she was just sitting and relaxing on the couch as if she were a guest attending services The! The girl who somewhat works here expects family to and I quote 'run the show' her words. She will be outside and let family do what they want. That's what she does.. If anybody needs anything the can go get her.. No compassion no professionalism at all whatsoever. She was clueless as how to work the TV to watch video tribute. An hour later we finally got to watch it. She gives family orders and gives the the TV control remote.. If I could give 0 stars for her service and professionalism I would but the building is new and nice from the inside. The family is grieving and shouldn't be doing her job for her. Very sad to say but she definitely needs to dress more professional as well wearing sneakers. And this is only the beginning of the service. She needs more training on how to talk with compassion and not be so dead when talking.

Juan Arteaga made sure my family & I were taken care of when my brother passed away. He gave us a really good price & overall he really made this devastating experience we went through smooth. He made sure my brother looked presentable & the funeral home felt homey. It didn’t feel like it was a funeral home. I have gone to other funeral homes & they look really nice but they feel cold & creepy. This place truly felt welcoming. He’s a very caring & compassionate person & I know my brother was in really good hands. He’s very attentive to detail, for example we told him a little background of my brother & he asked if we wanted to bring his car to the funeral home, kinda like a celebration of his life. He had a little set up for him so the first thing people would see when they walked up to the funeral home was his car. A car that meant a lot to him.I am grateful for everything Juan & his staff did for my brother & family.I highly recommend this place. Thank you Juan!

I highly recommend this place. Juan Arteaga took care of us & gave us a good price. Friendly welcoming & easy to communicate with staff! The funeral home was very clean & welcoming.He made sure everyone was ok without feeling like they were just watching you at every moment. We also had a day that we took my brother home for his last time & he made sure his ride home was safe & he set him up nicely. At the time of pick up, he mentioned that my brother seemed more relaxed & that really gave us a sense of comfort. The entire process was very hard for the family & Juan was there every step of the way. We had presidential service on our way to the cemetery & that also went very smooth. I want to first say that I was in dire help and needing a Funeral home ASAP and I didn't even know where to start, I was overwhelmed when the father of my son passed away. I was not prepared for this shock or heartbreak that I couldn't make go away. When I sat down and I spoke to Juan the Director of the funeral home he changed everything from his kindness and understanding and patience in my situation, not only did he do the best he could to accommodate me in my needs financially but he listened and cared. Arteaga Funeral Home it’s a good place at a very reasonable prices compared to other places that I had checked out. They are really nice and really helpful with what we needed for the whole funeral process and cremation. They really helped out a lot more than what we expected and they where willing to work with us just to make the process go smooth and easy for us. They were really professional and we love that a lot. They even followed up with my mom after the funeral to make sure she was doing well and even to see if there anything else they can help us with. This is a good place and they are willing to work with you knowing the difficult time our family family was going through and I believe they will do that for yours as well.

First of all I never thought I would be writing a review for a funeral home however I lost my mother very sudden. Juan handled everything for me and my family. He and the staff are the reason why they are named best funeral home. They blended in with our guest and you could tell they genuinely care and want to help make everything seamless. When my husband passed, I did not know where to start. I called Arteaga Funeral Home and from the moment Mr. Arteaga answered, he was very kind and helpful. He gave me wise words of comfort that I needed so much. He and Lorena were great help and support throughout the process. They really understand and feel for their clients. I never put reviews but Juan and his staff helped us every step of the way we had many questions since this was the first time going thru a funeral with our family and he made us feel so comfortable I highly recommended this funeral home we went to three other funeral homes which were more expensive but the attention set them apart from Juan and he gave a a way better price call this funeral home and ask for Juan

Mr. Arteaga gave us a very good price, worked w our budget and made sure to answer all of our questions, he was very nice and understanding. His family was very atentive and comforting during our hard time of losing our loved one, they made sure we didnt have to worry about a thing, it was a very nice funeral service, him and his daughter were with us every step of the way making sure everything ran smooth.

I definitely have to give this family 5 stars they made it alot easier for me and my family to say our goodbyes to our loved one being we weren't for Houston and on limited time.
