I recently visited Atlanta Memorial Park and was blown away by its beauty. The park is situated in a picturesque location and offers a variety of amenities for visitors to enjoy. The walking trails are well-maintained and offer stunning views of the park's natural surroundings. The playground and picnic areas are also great for families with children. I especially appreciated the various monuments and memorials scattered throughout the park, which added a sense of history and solemnity. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they made sure that the park was clean and safe. Overall, I highly recommend a visit to Atlanta Memorial Park for anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable outdoor experience in the heart of Atlanta.

Nice path around the creek to walk, there is a small park area too but not well maintained. One of the previous reviews mentioned a parking area, but we couldn’t find any and had to park on the street. There were some people walking and there was a gathering in the park- the greenery as usual was calming and soothing. It was fun to see the ducks, geese and other birds playing in the creek. Given the number of parks in Atlanta and Buckhead, unless you stay next to it, you can give it a pass.

Another reviewer mentioned the raw sewage all over the park and especially the playground. This is true. It's a lovely natural area much of the time for quiet walks, but the steam is highly polluted and it floods almost every time there's a heavy rain. Stay away from the playground and leave your "park shoes" by the door when you get home. There is planned development which is going to cause the flooding, runoff, mud and sewage to get worse.

Great playground and greenspaces! But often we got horrible attitude and looks from neighborhood moms. Very snobbish. Felt racist and xenophobic, to be exact. Children were often rude, ill-mannered and rarely disabled. My 5 year old daughter and I went to visit this playground 6 times in 2 months. I finally gave up when I got too hot out. Oakdale Park on Atlanta Rd is more diverse and fun for all PLUS has clean restrooms!!!

Great park with a lot of different options for all ages. There are several types of swings for all abilities. There are two different playscapes, and one with a pretty tall ladder, so keep an eye on the smaller kids because they'll want to climb it. But the kids always have a blast here. And the size of the park is large enough and set back from the road to really let them roam and not worry about traffic.

Great place to walk, run, bike, or even enjoy sweeping views of the city, golf course, trees. Very well planned and well maintained wide concrete trail. Connects to proctor creek trail which will take you downtown or midtown. The trail is a 3 mile loop around the golf course with various connections to other trails either planned or existing. Lots of wide open spaces for kids to play as well.

Great park for trail walking. Dogs are allowed as long as they are on leash. Beautiful wooded trails with multiple loops/ routes for different distances. A lot of different wildlife can be seen, from deer to owls. Very popular for runners and walkers. Has a pond and streams. The pond can be fished. Great family spot.

A nice park. The playground is a good size. Although there is no shade giving it the trees around it give it some natural shade. No parking lot.
Playground
The Playground has two main setups. One is for little kids. The biggest one has where you can climb to a second story slide. Only one swing for big kids.

Getting here can be a little tricky due to construction on Northside, but it is worth it. A large park with a decent trail to walk coupled with new, large play structures for all ages make Memorial a great park to bring your kids, your dog, or your self.

I Love this park nestled in between a lovely community of homes. I love all of the constant renovations being done to transform the space but still keep it as natural as possible. Would be cute to add a small bridge to walk across the river stream …

  • Nicky Mann

The play structures for children are amazing and beyond the plain stuff you see at most parks. The "forest-y" feel really improves the quality of the park; lots of shade with how the many trees are randomly spaced about and fairly densely in many places.

Great playground equipment for kids. My kids love the slides and also going on “nature walks” along the river. FYI- no restrooms near this playground. There’s quite a bit of tree shade cover so it’s not too unbearable in the summer heat.

Great intown Park! The playground is modern and updated. Parts of this park remind me of a park in Rome, Italy. I gave a 4 star because sometimes in the summer, the smell of sewer lingers near the river due to the manholes. The AMPC had

Nice, comfy and clean to walk on thanks to the rubber mulch. Bring repellent, those pesky bugs hang around a wet spot on the grassed area that doesn’t drain well. These is some nice shade and the equipment is too notch.

Great place for playing tennis. The parking deck fills up quick on the weekends. Overflow parking is down to the right when you drive in. Bathrooms are down in the small building on the bottom floor.

The park was Great and had lots of space for activities, along with a trail. My kids enjoyed being able to practice sports and walking along the creek. Only thing missing was a basketball hoop …

The park opens at 6 am and closes at 11pm. There are always people out walking, jogging, and playing tennis and the neighborhood view is beautiful. I always feel safe at this location.

Beautiful park to take family for a walk, run, or picnic. We took family photos here with the nice trees in the background and the nice scenery to enjoy.

  • Brendon Mulholland

Beautiful park to run on. Went to the local ParkRun hosted here on Saturdays. It had light rain when we went but still a beautiful park to stroll in.

  • Eugen Gassmann

Great little park. Perfect round for jogging or a stroll with the dog. Sometimes flooded/ debris from previous flooding can spoil the experience.

  • Jordan Kasulas

This is one of my favorite playgrounds in the area. Tons of parking on the street. Only thing they're missing is a bathroom

An area for tots and a separate area for big kids. Lots of baby swings. Partially shaded. There was some trash surrounding the picnic tables.

  • Noelle

Great little park with a practice disc golf basket, but the water fountains are shut off, so be sure to bring plenty of your own water.

  • Natasha Esworthy

Absolutely love this place. Trails are shaded and stay cool even in hot summer days. Very well kept. Descent amount of walking too.
