Probably the worst banking experience I’ve had. Only two tellers working, spent over 30 minutes in line. Spoke with a teller then realized there was an error with request. The line up was out the door. Would have had to wait probably another 45 minutes to talk to a teller because the line up was out the door. I called BMO and they issued a cancellation of my banking request within 10 minutes of talking to the teller. BMO tried calling them, they wouldn’t pick up the phone, they then sent through a cancellation request. They obviously never responded for a few days, so the cancellation never happened. Now the bank is trying to collect fees off me for not canceling the request. It’s not my fault you never respond to requests from bmo. And now you want to profit off me for not doing your job. I called BMO with 10 minutes and canceled it. Their phone line says it’s down, after you call a few times you can get through. Also good luck ever talking to anyone, you leave a voicemail and they state you will get a call back by the end of the day. Which they don’t. I finally received a voicemail stating they didn’t cancel it within time so there are fees. This really is not my problem. If this issues is not resolved I will take all of my banking elsewhere and never bank with you in the future. I have been baking with you for ever and this has been honestly the worst experience. Charging clients for your miscommunications is not my problem.

Absolutely HORRIBLE experience. Had an ongoing issue and was told over the phone to go to a branch in person. Any branch would do. Went after work to this location where they told me they could not help. Called back and was told that they could in fact help me at that location. Tried again on my lunch break the next day (the whole reason I am going to this location, super close to my work) and was told off by the manager that my issue was taking 'too much time' and they couldn't help me. I was overwhelmed and really needed the issue solved to help with some timely situations I was having. I began to cry a little (I get teary-eyed when I'm stressed alright shutup). They then told me that I could try and come back at another time when they weren't so busy (only two other people in the branch with me) or just call the customer support line (who I obviously already called and was told to come there). Super long story, but end of the day the Market Mall location was able to help me in about 15 minutes and made me feel great. Bank of Montreal is not the problem, it's this god awful location.

Khushdeep Dhaliwal, is so unprofessional and does not know how to do her job, everytime I called her she had an excuse that she can't talk and she wouldn't call me back. She was working on getting me a mortgage for over 2 months, she said I got a  pre-approval for $425k, so I went house hunting, I found a house I liked and I called her to get my mortgage going, she worked on it for a while, and in the end she comes back and tells me I'm not approved, I had a co signer who was more then enough to get me approved, what she did wrong I have no idea, and I'm also not the only person she has done this too. I called Royal Bank and they were able to get my mortgage done in a week, Iam so glad it didn't work out with you guys, and I will never ever recommend BMO to anyone I know, as matter of fact my mom banks with BMO but she won't be anymore. If only they had the option for giving 0 stars because thats what they deserve.......

Khushdeep Dhaliwal Mortgage specialist is Horrible person extremely unprofessional and untrustworthy. Wasted our time. Keeps your paperwork and won't reply back for weeks. We almost lost our house deal cause of her. She apparently doesn't close your file either after you decided you don't want to deal with her. Just found out 2 years later she still has our file open. I even filed a police report against her and have been intouch with the managers and vp. She won't even meet ppl at her bank location told us we have to go a different route while whispering... ummm no thanx. Im not getting into anything illegal. Completely shady human being. Giving bad name to the bank. Tells ppl that other mortgage specialist work under her. Hahaha yeah right...you wish I can't believe we gave our personal information to her. That's why I filed police report. She is capable of anything.

Due to circumstances, my wife and I were unable to take care of our RRSP's early in the month. With the deadline approaching rapidly, we took a chance to see if they could help us out, as our usual bank was closed on Saturday. Not only did they help us get our contributions in time, the lovely lady Rukhshanda Khan was exceedingly helpful and sweet! I cannot recommend her any more highly than this! Thank you! Just a quick update as of February 19, 2022 - although it has been nearly a year, Mrs. Khan took the time to contact my wife and I late last month about our contributions for 2021. As before, she was extremely helpful, showed us all the options that were available, and even came in on her day off to make sure that we were taken care of. Excellent service, and we are VERY happy!

I would give them zero stars from online banking to branch nobody knew how to reverse a auto deposit etrans i know mistakes have been made by other people but thry cant seem to tell me how or when my 1230.00 mistake would be rectified if at all.The branch manager doesnt even know how to get it rectified how do you get a branch manager role without knowing how to help customers fix there mistake melanie is a piece of work and obviously been rude to other customers as well.Stay far away from this bank 2 tellers on and a line up to the door.Ill certainly say if there family member made a 1200.00 mistake they would see there money.SHAME ON YOU BAD KARMA WILL ALWAYS WIN .Lets just hope i see my money i will update on this review to see if they are crooks or not

I don’t usually post reviews on banks - I can reveal names but let me just say for now - I had an appointment with an advisor - worst respect for people I’ve received. Westwinds people usually are good in the past but not this month. I will reach out to the manager - basic customer service etiquette: say hello and introduce yourself , ask customers how they are doing not to pre-judge, perhaps this young man did not learn from school nor from real work world . I had to ask his name- I build young entrepreneurs and I’m sure this employees can learn. I must say most respect and beat services so far was from Marlborough mall location. Staff work hard to maintain and provide service -it’s not the best location environment to work in. I still like BMO.

The “Caucasian Manager” Does not know how to communicate professionally? We pay for the service and get charged for transactions. The Caucasian “Manager” does not understand if their employee accepted a cash change transaction she does not have a right to yell at a customer without getting a full details from her employee. The teller should have denied the transaction at the beginning. The line ups at the bank are crazing due to being understaffed. I hope i don't have to deal with her every time i visit for business transactions. Please stay away from this branch as they do not even provide the service they charge for “Business Account”. Would be looking at moving accounts to other better service providers.

I went to the bank just to ask if I could exchange the damaged currency. I was expecting to hear 'yes' or 'no' rather than exchanging money as I have no account in BMO. I went there because I was standing in front of the bank at that time so thought to confirm. A Punjabi girl went to ask a White old lady (a senior staff) about my question. The white lady replied very rudely saying, " what is she doing here when does not have an account." The tone of her voice was very racist, she ruined my evening. It was the worst experience I had ever in a bank. I would never recommend anybody to go to BMO Westwinds Drive ever, especially that lady.

Most understaffed and under trained branch in YYC. If you planning to visit make sure you have a full day off!! 1. 1 hour line wait doesn’t matter if you have only 5 people in front of you. 2. Cashier walking around as they don’t care about next person and doing things personal stuff. 3. Security guard talking on phone loudly and having household conversations. 4. I have banking background, but I can’t understand what they are doing by leaving counter and asking for advice back and forth. 5. Instead of waiting for next cashier to take over, she decided to go home. WORST BANK AND SUPER WORST BRANCH. -5 ⭐️ if that can an option!!

Worst bank iv'e ever dealt with. They don't answer their phones either so don't bother calling. Iv'e called over and over and it only rings a few times I would rather not drive to talk to the bozo's If i don't have to. The worst service iv'e ever dealt with I will cancel my account asap! I would like to take a baseball bat to their telephone it's doing nothing sitting there. Seems their to useless to pick it up. or are deaf as a doorknob. do yourself a favor and never darken their door. So frustrating the manager promised to call me back after i went down there and lied with a fake smile on her face. What complete incompetence.

Do yourself a favour and choose any other bank but BMO. Specially if you are a business. All banks are competitive and they all have similar rules and regulations, however, it's the staff and service that makes or breaks your business. Having your best interest is the last thing they would care about, and BMO and their staff are good at doing the bare minimum they are required to do, so typically, it would take several attempts to get your issue resolved. This assessment is based on a two year experience with them and soon enough I will take my business some where else.

Today i got to know why this particular branch having very bad reviews as i go through the service today as my personal experience is very bad because of Veena Singh The Personal Banker which was very sweet before opening the new Bussiness account. But after a day its like who are you? My job is done ✔️ Talk to customer care i cant help you and cant meet without appointment and blah blah blah.. Before going to this branch think before you go. Very very very bad experience. People who stopped me before taking their services but bad on my part. So frustrating

I would give 0 star if i can!! I stepped in branch today to verify my identification regards to my account!! After a long wait bank teller had me and she was supposed to call customer service for cross verification so i can contact telephone banking for futher issues!! She claimed she did everything on her side but nothing was done!! When i called customer service she said same thing that i have to stepped in branch for authentication purposes and also teller left no notes for my visit as well!! Such a time waste, this bmo branch sucks

Absolutely the worst customer service imaginable. THE WORST. I spent an hour there for an appointment and everything I said was ignored. I called and NO RESPONSE. I sent an email and NO RESPONSE. I receive a letter in the mail saying my RRSP was renewed with none of the input from me. They just did what they wanted like I had never even been there. I had another bad experience at this branch about 5 years ago that lead me to transfer almost everything out of BMO and thought I would give them another chance. BIG MISTAKE

I really do not say name but this time I will, It was worse customer service by Abhi. Really really disappointed. Laziest service i ever seen. He do not want to make call to verify my DD. Plus asking other bank phone number from me so he can verify my DD. They have all bank’s details and phone number but NO. Working super super slow and put my DD on hold for 2 days. I am with BMO for more than 3 years plus I have one mortgage and one business loan with BMO although customer service is Zero.

DO NOT USE THE DRIVE THRU BANK MACHINE TO DO DEPOSITS!!! EVER!!!!!! THE MACHINE KEEPS YOUR CASH DEPOSITS WITHOUT PUTTING IT IN YOUR ACCOUNT. IT TAKES WEEKS FOR THEM TO FIX THE ISSUE, PASSING THE BLAME ON TO ANYONE BUT FAULTY MACHINES. SHAME ON ME FOR DOING IT TWICE IN 2 YEARS. Very poor customer service. I needed to send wire transfer. I kept receiving the message online my online banking stating I need to visit the branch to process the wire. I went to this branch as it is my home branch and the response I received was “we don’t know why it’s not working, maybe the system is down”. They didn’t offer any alternative options. Beyond frustrated with their service. Will close all my services with them

They have no clue at all what they are doing. Can not process even simple transactions. They even don’t acknowledge that they don’t know the answer and we will get back to you with an answer that’s the least they can do. Best answer I got from them is you can go to another branch. They probably forget there are 7 different banks in between which will appreciate my business. Thanks for nothing.

It’s been 40 days I submit the cheque , and I went today to the bank and they said its still not cleared out and is on hold . 40 days to get the cheque cleared .i waited one hour for an answer but still no exact answer.i beleieve they are not well trained or don’t take customers in a serious way . Worst customer service at this location.Bmo needs to change their employees at this location .

Terrible mortgage service at this branch. When I went in to renew my mortgage, I knew more than the mortgage specialist. I also had to come in numerous times to sign various documents because the staff member I was dealing with was not organized. It's also quite difficult to get through to the person you need to speak to through the main phone line, as it always goes to voicemail.

I’ve found that every time I call this branch, they never pick up. I’m not sure if it’s maybe the time I am calling at or something else. Overall, the customer service is okay. There are a few employees who are a bit rude, but I’ve also found some really good staff that have answered all my questions. I think it’s mostly just hit or miss with the customer service.

Not sure why I feel like I am being interrogated every time I bring a cheque to this bank most locations I go to I feel like they think I am a criminal trying to pass fraudulent cheques.. I have been a client with bmo for over 20 years personal and 5 yrs business.. quit being so nosey take my money and put it in the account. Trust your loyal clients or lose them.

Worst banking experience I've ever had, long line ups tellers taking 5 to 10 min breaks between customers, branch manager when questioned for help denied helping. Wanted to have hold released on government cheque I deposited said I would have to contact branch or head office. Any other branch I've attended were always courteous and were able to help.

If I could give this - stars I would. By far the worst experience. There was 1 teller and the line kept growing. I was waiting in line for a credit card inquiry for over 45 minutes. When the staff chose to come out from the back and assist, again after 45 minutes I was simply told I would not be able to be helped. Complete trash DO NOT COME HERE

All these bad reviews are legit, I called 5 times from my house and no one picked up so I assumed they are busy. I went to the branch to see two tellers just talking to each other. So I called branch phone number while being at the bank. The phone was ringing and no one not even one person gave the phone an eye or to check. Complete absurd

This is a terrible branch. Waiting time is insane. Very slow tellers and almost 1 or 2 tellers max. With all the negative reviews from clients it seems bmo don’t care about their clients as no actions taken to improve service. Seriously I am thinking to close my account with bmo due to such terrible service.

Waiting time is always too long for simple transaction. Always have either 1 or 2 tellers whereas in other banks they have minimum 4 or 5 and service is too fast. I have no idea why management doesn’t increase staff or improve service since all reviews seems to complain of the same issue (understaffing).

Posts that they are open until 6pm close at 5pm? If you're going to run a bank post the right hours. Other bmo's are open till 6pm but for whatever reason you get the extra hour. Not even a holiday. Customer service is horrible very rude don't pay attention to what is asked of them. Hate this location.

Great Experience. The manager is very friendly and helps out when there is any questions. The tellers are quick. I know many people say there are lots of long lines but maybe because this is a very populated area and there isn't another BMO nearby. I moved my business accounts and it has been great

Stopped banking with BMO solely due to this branch. Customer service was consistently horrible and I packed up. When the rep over the phone contacted to ask for feedback, it felt like a formality without any hope for any action or remediation.

Didn't even bother checking my paperwork and told me that I can't make tax payments after standing in line for 8-10 mins. I called the alberta government and they confirmed that all banks can pay. Extremely poor service.
