Worst customer service ever. Expect phone calls for simple matters to last up to two hours. Expect, after dealing with their dumb machine and waiting to talk to a person, for said person to cut you off or put you on indefinite hold. Maybe it was because they hit the wrong button by accident, maybe on purpose, who knows? The computer voice says they have higher than anticipated call volume and long waits nearly every time I call which I presume is a lie (because no one can be that bad at estimating call volumes) and they are just unwilling to pay for better customer service. Their whole phone system is designed to make you loathe using it so much that you do what you can to avoid calling them. They have a glitchy website that has told me that I don’t have an account and that I don’t have any payments due when they are, in fact, due, and it has decided to deny me access multiple times for no fault of my own. To restore access I must call and hit zero a few times when it asks for my account number to get to a representative who will then let me pay and put me on another endless hold (to get online access restored) while listening to a rude computer advise me to log in (and not bother their two actual representatives they pay to work from their houses next to train tracks) or call later the whole time.

This is the only bank of the west location in the entire city. They recently changed their ATM hours to close at 9 PM, even though it’s behind a key card activated door. This means the only way to access your money after 9 PM is to pay ATM fees with another bank. I even recently overdrafted my account, because I don’t have the means to take time out of my day to travel across the city to go to the ONLY branch in the area to make deposits. Not to mention before this issue I just refused to use any service other than the atm. The office is a weird sit down desk set up, not a traditional bank counter. This has forced me on several occasions to have an awkward sit down, with a smart mouthed, eye rolling, pretentious, hair spray frat bro guy. He’s sarcastic and insufferable in every way, if he still works there you know exactly who I’m talking about. I will be switching to a real bank as soon as I have time to squeeze into their now STRICT business hours. Guess I’m the only one that needs to access their money after 9pm.

worst bank ever, i moved to US recently and bank of the west was first bank i opened my account in based on a reference from a third party and it has been a nightmare since then.. i had to visit the branch for debit card activation and then again for setting up zelle and then again for online transactions and then again for wire transfer set up and guess what even after these painful branch visits so many times they locked my account because they suspected that one of the transaction I was doing was fraud and now i cannot access any of my funds, i cannot withdraw it, i cannot transfer it and it's been more than 10 days since my account got locked. I'm new here and i need to pay rent and deposit for my new place, pay for taxes and stuff and all my funds that i transferred from overseas are locked now, this is such a nightmare. Even the bank employees are not helping and blaming upper management for the mess. Stay away from this bank at all cost.

Watch out! --they promise one thing, but do another. Not trustworthy at all!!! They set us up for "No monthly fee account" for life, but every month statement has service fees that requires the branch manager to reverse manually for 7 years. During the last seven years, the branch manager changed about seven times. The new branch manager told us this year that the upper management decided not to reverse the bank fees anymore, so they haven't reversed $595.00 in bank fees since 2021. Then the manager told us if we opt out on "treasury now" feature, then the bank charges will disappear on our monthly statements. We did that. Nothing changes, we are still charged with $50 bank fees. We have demanded that they refund us our money. We plan to close the account once they refund us our money. If they don't do so, we will pursue them legally.

So I went inside because I wanted a new card as my old one was being used by someone else. I went and asked the guy for a debit card. He “orders” it then starts going on about how I should get his credit card. This went on for a long time after saying no. I was unable to get my money off my account and spend. 3 weeks go by waiting for the card and for some reason I never get it. I end up talking to one of the managers of the bank and he says that they will mail the card in 1 day if I call him yet the guy at the bank said it takes weeks to even make the card. They really wanted me to get the credit card. I shut my bank down with them. Seems fishy. I don’t recommend this bank AT ALL.

Literally the worst BOTW branch I've ever been to. They were a mess and didn't know which way was up and said they don't do foreign currency exchange even though I just got an exchange there less than a year ago and after contacting support was told that ALL BOTW locations do a foreign currency exchange. It seemed like they knew they did them there but were too lazy to try and figure out how to do it. They acted like it was such a bother to try and help and do their actual job. I've never had a problem with BOTW until this location. Don't go here.

I would absolutely avoid this bank at all costs. I have had many other bank accounts and this is by far the worst bank I have ever experienced. I had a few fees as I forgot to have the required activity for a month. I talked to the branch, the regional manager and even the executive manager and they refused strongly to waive only about $20 in fees. I have had many other banks that would be much more customer friendly. I honestly cannot stress enough how much I would encourage everyone to avoid this bank.

Worst bank in America hands down. I’m currently here dealing with an endless list of things just to file a fraud report for someone stealing my card info and buying stuff. They are doing everything possible to avoid giving my money back. Thanks for being the worst Bank of the West. Especially since I’ve been a customer for 5 years or so. P.s when I saw the charges initially I asked them to stop the transaction as it was fraud, they basically refused and said call back in a week..

I can't speak on this branch specifically, but I got stuck banking with BMO after Bank Of The West (which I really liked) sold. BMO as a financial institution isn't even a thing I would recommend to someone I disliked. At this stage, I'm not entirely convinced it's actually a bank, but rather just a small room, a bare lightbulb, and like, three random little moths flying around... On second thought, maybe including three moths into the visual is generous. Steer clear.

The worst bank i have never had ! Coming from the private branch of BNP France with a very good history, a very good situation and very good salary ! They don't know how to fill forms, they don't have ink to print a Check ! (it's just crazy). When you ask for something, you need to call all the time to refresh their memory If you try to exchange by email, you are just loosing your time, call them ... Happy to leave this bank !

A terrible, terrible bank... Please read / believe the reviews and don't open an account here. I thought it can't be that bad and I gave them a try - big mistake... So I opened a credit card with them after invitation, only to get my account closed right before getting my welcome bonus. Nobody can give me a reason why, nobody knows anything... This is their only branch in the whole state by the way.

-criminally understaffed -their system is so busted that it automatically adds fees to our money market and checking accounts although they said these fees did not exist -no one person is ever able to help you through a problem (on their end) you always have to hold their hand and keep calling back in order for them to fix any of their mistakes Pick literally any other bank or credit union

Why does this place even exist with such rude employees. It's like they want to be laid off so please BMO, improve efficiency and save expenses by shutting down this useless location.

  • Jason pratt

Bill at bmo is assuming and understands the essences of customer service. Bmoas a bank doesn’t seem all that good but bill is genuinely helpful.

  • Kali Cowman

They were super helpful! I would definitely come here again.

  • Zoey Conklin

They couldn't give me change for a dollar.

  • Alyce Romash

Great staff! Always helpful.
