Only 1☆ just so I could comment because one can't really give a star rating if they've NEVER been there because they NEVER found it?! ZERO signage or at least I never saw any... but you don't necessarily start looking for cell waiting lot 3 miles before you even reach the BNA property, do you?! Instead, I ended up taking I40 ramp because looking for where cell waiting lot used to be. So, looped all the way back around AGAIN to Harding exit to return to BNA. That means I drove past the cell waiting lot TWICE & still did not see it! Ended up parking on the turn around loop designated for bus parking. Was there maybe 30min before BNA security swept me & the other 10+ cars out for illegal parking. Drove back out Donelson to turn around @ air freight. Exited @ BNA International ramp a 3rd time & parked illegal in median behind another lost soul who also couldn't find the new cell waiting lot?! What a NIGHTMARE?! Whose bird brain idea was it to remove the cell waiting lot completely from BNA property?! I refuse to believe anyone competent even thought this thru?! Picking up family arriving BNA has become a major undertaking... especially for individuals from 70+ miles away who are not familiar with BNA or Nashville?! BNA is NOT whatsoever a reflection of MY Southern hospitality so don't be surprised when Nashville tourism rates plummet! God bless the incompetency of the BNA Authority personnel who thought the new cell waiting lot location was an improvement?! Or even a convenience?! God bless all the masses searching for the unsigned location, driving around & around the BNA loop, or resorting to parking illegally!

This lot is insanely far from the airport and traffic on Murfreesboro pike is horrible. This was an extremely dumb decision to move the cell waiting lot so far from the airport. Now instead of the even flow the airport had before everyone is clogging up the arrivals and waiting there instead. Driving around and around in circles until their persons are ready to be picked up. This causes so much traffic in the airport now that was never an issue before when the cell phone lot was inside the airport. Why did this happen? Who made this decision? Now they will have to pay more people to manage the traffic, cops to kick people out who pulled over to wait, and overall inconveniencing everyone. Put the call phone log back where it used to be this is an epic fail!

I thought the people running the Nashville Airport could not screw it up any worse with their debacle called the Terminal Garage. "A short walk from the terminal" they say. They fail to mention the walk involves exposure to weather and navigating traffic while managing your luggage. Well they managed to screw up worse by closing the on site cell phone waiting lot and moving it off site. Looking at the airport map on their website the new cell waiting lot is so far away it is not shown on the map. They claim the closure is due to roadway construction. I've been unfortunate enough to pick up family members a few times since the closure and there is no roadway construction happening. Good job Airport Authority. You have taken your incompetence to a new low.

This is waay too far from the airport. If you wait here for the person that you are picking up, you will THEN hit the traffic on your way to pick them up. That’s just useless. It’s a useless location. It’ll take you there from Briley Parkway anyway so you might as well park at a gas station closer to the exit, the airport observation lot, the Dunkin Donuts…anywhere closer. I get that they might have had to move the old one for construction but this isn’t a sustainable solution. Maybe open a back way up Donelson Pike? Frankly, it’s insulting as if they are acting like this is some sort of solution. Don’t waste your time, park and wait somewhere closer.

I have picked up my family twice now from the airport and I only just now discovered why I haven't been able to get to the old cell waiting area. I thought it was just temporarily closed the first time but I had to Google it when it was still closed the 2nd time. I am glad it's a larger lot now which is why I at least gave it 2 stars, but the distance it is from the airport is a bit long. The main reason I'm giving a negative review, why is there no signage at the airport for this? Why is there not a sign up saying "cell waiting area moved to ADDRESS" or anything of that sort? Relocating is fine, it happens, but a lack of signage is just bad planning.

  • Jon Billington

Horrible location. 2-3 miles away from the airport entrance. Very remote location with nothing around and very unsafe. No authorities present and only two other cars are here. The lot is near a major thoroughfare which makes it very easy for someone to be robbed and the robber to simply drive away into traffic. I would NEVER allow my daughters or wife to use this lot. On top of the safety issue, this lot is not convenient. There is a reason people are temporarily parking and staying in their cars all over the airport grounds waiting to pick up passengers. No one wants to drive all way over to this lot. Ridiculous decision by the bna staff.

  • Molly Williams

Been flying out and into BNA for years - have used the cellphone lot often and have directed others to do so as well. The change in location is a disaster. There’s no signage in the terminal to direct you to the new location - so if you come in just looking for the old cellphone lot like we did - you won’t find it unless you google it. Picking up people at BNA now at 6:30 - so now we have to battle traffic on the Murfreesboro Pike for 16 minutes to get back to the terminal. Whoever designed this clearly just wanted to save money. Good luck to anyone using it at night or during a rush.

  • Jason Pargin

So they kept the signs pointing toward the old cell lot, then once you arrive, you find it blocked with concrete barriers... with zero signage pointing toward the new lot. In fact, there are no signs anywhere, like literally anywhere, pointing toward the new waiting lot. At the terminal, security says you are to simply circle the airport until the person you're picking up is standing there waiting. So I circled four times with a pack of confused cars all doing the same thing, because there is literally no other option unless you google where the new, remote cell lot is. Amazing.

  • Dave Sellers

Plenty of space compared to the old locations, but while as-the-crow flies very close to the airport grounds, practically it is several miles away from the arrivals area to pick someone up. Also lighting at night is rather sparse and signage is hard so see from the road. It seems like the net effect is more people parking on shoulder areas on the airport circuit roads which feels more unsafe. Feels like a solution in search of a problem; I never had a problem fining a space in the old smaller and much closer lots.

  • James McDonald

Dearest BNA, I can promise you that I will never use this lot. It’s beyond ridiculous that you moved the BNA Cell Waiting Lot away from the actual airport, and it’s even more ridiculous that you placed it in an unsafe area. I will circle the airport over and over or park and wait in Arrivals and make everyone mad. Whoever thought this was a good idea should be promptly fired. Off-site, dangerous area, bad lighting and sounds like the booth is often unmanned. No thanks. Good day!

  • Jonathan Brake

My daughter went in to pick up folk and basically could not find this lot until I text her the exact location - she did not feel safe - left the motor running and locked the doors. Well done BNA - middle finger to customer service. This is engineering stupidity to the max. Not only is it in a dumb spot its dark, no one feels safe, the boards are unreliable and its still miles from the terminal with traffic that has undoubtedly got worse because of this insane decision.

  • Roberta Solomon

Ridiculously far from the airport off a heavily trafficked road. All the benefits of the cell phone lot are gone. . At night is very dark and unsafe I parked directly under one the JUST TWO lights in the lot, the booth was unmanned. Now instead you have people parked waiting in random lots. Excess traffic circling the airport which means unsafer and more congestion. As I waited the sign for airport arrivals NEVER changed once. All this did was be less useful.

  • Matt Valentini

Did not know this change was made. There is no sign present on I-40 eastbound saying that the cell phone lot had moved. The "cell phone waiting area" signs at the airport do not lead to this lot, currently. Upon finding out the address, the distance to/from the lot would've been longer than the drive to my own home due to traffic. Hopefully this new system/location shows improvement but there needs to be proper signage.

  • Dean Masullo

The relocation of the Cell Phone Waiting Lot is the embodiment of all that is wrong with this city in the years of its unchecked expansion. The only options are to pay the extortionate short-term parking fees or to park in this lot, which is a ten-minute drive to Arrivals on a traffic-free day. When residents say that "Nashville is no longer for Nashvillians," this is precisely what they mean.

  • Indie Pereira

Ridiculous. Takes longer to thr airports from here than restaurants on Donelson Pike. Takes longer than from a lot of people's houses. If you actually wait until you get a call your party will wait half a dang hour. Absurd. And it is DARK. When I went there was no security. Worse than a joke. Just loop the airport like everyone else and increase the giant mess that these nutters created.

  • Peter H

Way too far away from the arrivals to be useful. The old cell phone waiting lots were too small but at least they were close. Looks like they've replaced them with some B.S. valet parking so they can fleece us even more. If this is the type of decision that the current airport authority is making, then maybe they deserve to have control turned over from the city to the state.

  • Drew Andrew Smith

Horrible! It’s at the opposite end of the airport. It’s extremely confusing to find. If your pickup isn’t waiting for you on a high traffic day you’ve gotta go around again which takes a 1/2 hour give or take. Awful design & it could have been simple if they took away a little from the ‘pay’ lots & put the cell lot there. Oh well… Capitalism always wins.

  • Larissa Kelly

As others have mentioned, the lot is difficult to find, especially at night. The location and lack of lighting made me feel unsafe to wait in my car alone. I'm hoping this is only a temporary solution while construction continues at BNA. Until a lot opens closer, I will park down the road at a business in a brighter and more populated area.

  • Jamey Rutschilling

Entrance and parking lot have no lights. It wasn't crowded, so that's a bit of a positive. However, I wonder if it is because of how much farther away. Nah, it's probably because nobody could find it and are sitting in the arrivals area. Updating with a photo of the arrivals line. 50 cars here compared to 5 in the cell lot...

  • Dance Commander

TERRIBLE! With traffic it takes at least ten minutes from the terminal. The point of a cell lot is to grab your passenger right after they tell you they have your luggage. This lot is way too far away and difficult to access with traffic. Your better off curcling at the airport or leaving your house later to avoid this lot.

  • Mohamed Rafi

They moved the original lot from the airport to this place! Plenty of parking & 9 minutes to reach the airport, (When there is no traffic!) Not sure about the peak time! There is no restroom or shade! Just open parking lot! I am positive soon they are going to move it close to your home! so no more waiting!!!

  • Debora Pederse

Nightmare of an airport. The flight was delayed and then the long wait for the baggage. We ended up circling the airport for an hour. A few times we pulled over to the side of the road but got chased back into the rat race. In hindsight it would have been better to use this lot. There were no clear signs to direct us.

  • Nick Name

Over a billion spent on improvements and this is what they do to a key feature of the airport? Too far. Hard to find without adequate signage. Adds to the congestion of "circling around" while waiting because that's easier than using the cell lot. There are folks trained in traffic engineering -- where were they?

  • J Haltom

The great thing about the old lot was that random lunatics couldn't just mosey on up to it because it was only accessible by non-pedestrian friendly roads. You may as well wait in any other well lit lot in a 9 minute radius from the airport. Stay strapped and keep your head on a swivel.

  • Debbie White

Surely this is just temporary? It’s embarrassing to our visitors we can’t do better. Our family won’t pick us up anymore since we don’t have a convenient place to wait. Therefore we are back to Uber… so this has cost us quite a bit already! Please hurry back onsite. This isn’t right:(

  • Chad H

I have no idea where they moved the cell lot and frankly I don’t care. I’ll just continue to find creative places near the terminal to wait. Just watch out for the rude little people who love to blow their whistles. Those jerks seem to enjoy causing frustrated people more frustration.

  • Colin Burch

5 miles from the airport in a desolate wasteland punctuated by factory outlet stores. When trying to reach BNA from the cell phone lot there are no wayfinding signs and you can get stuck in traffic for 20 mins. 0/5 stars. Much like the rest of Nashville, this place sucks.

  • Stephanie Charboneau

As everyone says it's to damn far, a flight coming in at 530pm it takes over 20 minutes to get to the airport.. and in a highly congested area.. better off waiting at a gas station.. which is most likely why all the pictures show an empty lot with plenty of parking..

  • OW615

BNA Nashville airport authorities tried rob travelers, they moved in purpose to that far away from terminal plus heavy traffic area location in order to convince people for expensive airport parking lots. In the most cases it takes 15-20 minutes driving to terminal.

  • clif02

The lot is large and spacious but with traffic it is a terrible location. The original cell phone waiting area was far more convenient and much easier to get to, especially with late afternoon traffic. Moving the lot here was really a terrible idea.

  • Mary Mitchell

It was nice once we found it. Liked having the arrivals signs of the planes on the teleprompter. In and out could be better marked. Signs to the cell lot should be bigger and a lot more at the airport, but other than that it was pretty good.

  • Derek Brown

Move from a lot less than a half mile next to the airport to a lot 4 miles away off a busy road. I guess becoming a bigger and better airport has a price. There is absolutely no signs to direct you there. The only plus is the lot is bigger.

  • Amy Bates

Almost impossible to find! Extremely poorly lit, and the sign is not prominent at all. I had a great deal of trouble finding the entrance after dark. And that was after I figured out that they had moved the cell lot 4 miles away! I had to

  • Debbie Brown

Terrible signage when you are already in the airport looking for the cell phone lot. THEN you find out from a snarky employee that the lot is 2.5 miles away, which will take you 10 minutes to get to since you need to navigate out of the

  • Justin L.

Despite the fancy language on the BNA website, this is a barebones parking lot that is now 3 miles - 10-15 minutes - from the actual arrival area (factoring in realistic traffic lights and the massive traffic jam from having to circle

  • James Walls

Only entrance/exit to the lot has do not enter signs. I guess once your in you have to stay forever. Edit: found the actual exit before I left. Couldn't see it because of the lighting. Also no signage to get here. This isn't it BNA.

  • Christopher Jones

Pitiful, No Lights, Terrible directions, Very Inconsiderate as a family member trying to wait on family from out of town coming in! This is Ridiculous! I’m ashamed as a Nashville resident that this is what is offered! Pathetic!!!!!

  • Joe McSurley

No signs at the airport directing you to cell waiting lot. Finally ended up waiting in a fee parking area. While waiting I did look up the location and it’s really no longer at the airport. You can do better BNA.

  • C Pedicini

Another terrible decision in the incompentance of managing the BNA makeover. The state needs to take over administration of BNA as the chronies who are managing it now clearly are not competent or up to the task

  • Bill Novak

Much bigger than old one but too far away. If there is traffic on Murfreesboro pike leave when your passengers get off the plane. They can go downstairs and get their bags whilst you negotiate getting there

  • Ross Hollinger

Don't let the spoiled Millennial complainers deter you. Yes, it's 4 miles from the airport, but it's pretty quick. Lot's of parking, but no security. So what, unless you're a liberal go armed and relax.

  • John Riley

Takes a good 5 minutes to drive there. Why did they close the waiting lot AT the airport? No clue, but this one is way too far away when I'm just waiting for somebody to grab their luggage.

  • tonia wahbeh

This is BY FAR THE LEAST CONVENIENT place for a cell phone lot. Because of this ridiculous change in location, me and anyone I know will NEVER EVER FLY to or from Nashville BNA airport.

  • J Tiller

Adequate parking space. Digital message boards about arriving flights are appreciated. Was there in daylight but the lighting is a marked improvement over previous waiting area.

  • Rebecca Bluerock

No signs to tell you that the new cell lot is 4 MILES away from the airport. Having to drive in the curvy airport roads in traffic AND google this new location behind the wheel.

  • Charles Miller

This cell phone lot is farther from the airport than anywhere else I’ve ever seen. It took an hour in traffic to get from the cell phone lot to the arrivals pick up location.

  • Major Joe

If you were picking up or dropping off anyone at the BNA Airport over the Holiday, it was terrible. They moved the cell phone waiting area, and the traffic was horrendous.

  • Darin R. McClure

Probably a good idea to put a notice at THE CLOSED CELL LOT POINTING PEOPLE TO THE OPEN CELL PARKING LOT!! And delete the google maps listing for the closed lot maybe…

  • Chasity Phelps

Couldn't figure out how to get there. I didn't see any signs after circling 3 times. I finally just got on the Donnelson and ate at a nearby Wendy's while I waited.

  • trip charge

The parking lot location is like saying your family is having surgery at St. Thomas West hopsital, but the family waiting room is in downtown Nashville.

  • Justin Runyon

I don’t know why there’s so many 1 starts this place is a cell waiting area and gives you info on flights when there landing it’s perfect.

  • Jonathan Wilson

Great lot for waiting on arrivals from BNA. I even captured a photo of an airplane coming in for a landing over the arrival ticker screen.

  • Marilyn Smith Neilans

It's ten or more minutes away from the arrivals pick up spot, it was not well lighted, signage was poor, and it was spooky at night!

  • Kyle Dreier

Please tell me this is a temporary solution until they can provide a better cell phone waiting area closer to the terminal.

  • Cory Truett

0 signs. I have no idea how they expect people to find the location. Best bet is to circle the airport unfortunately.

  • S. Way

This new lot has huge spotlights pointing at vehicles that make it impossible to read the real-time arrival signs.

  • g esper

It's a Airport Cell lot.. 2.8 miles from the airport. Clean, trash cans available, airline info board of arrivals.

  • Robert

Nearly empty...NOT A COMPLAINT! The last time I was in the old lot, it was PACKED. This space is MUCH larger.

  • Jeff Landis

Sooooo much better/bigger than the previous cell phone lot. Arrival/departure signs are wll placed.

  • Dave McNew

The cell lot was great but the signage into the terminal sucks!
