Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre (BPATC) is a training institute for the public sector. It was founded in 1984, and is situated in Savar, Dhaka District. It has teaching facilities, quarters for the officers, a big mosque and a lake. It is adjacent to the Savar urban area and not very far from the Savar market. Government's concern for more intensified and integrated training for the public servants is reflected in the setting up of the Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre (BPATC), Savar, Dhaka by merging former Bangladesh Administrative Staff College (BASC), National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA), Civil Officers' Training Academy (COTA) and the Staff Training Institute (STI). Foundation stone of the centre was laid in December 1981 and the centre began functioning from April 28, 1984, as an autonomous body with a Rector as its Head who is a senior Secretary to the Government. The Centre consists of 6 divisions viz. (i) Programs and Studies, (ii) Management and Public Administration, (iii) Development and Economics, (iv) Research and Consultancy, (v) Development Projects and (vi) Management & Development. Each division is headed by a Member, Directing Staff, who is an officer with the status of a Joint Secretary and Additional Secretary to the Government. Each division consists of a number of departments, which are headed by Directors holding the rank of Deputy Secretary to the Government. Under them there are deputy directors, senior research officers, research officers, assistant directors and evaluation officers.

A centre committed to excellence and a premier regional hub dedicated to provide effective, inclusive and self-mandated and bespoke training for civil servants, the Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre (BPATC), is the apex public sector training institute in Bangladesh-meeting the challenges of the 21st century. The centre offers innovative training courses across subjects, from public administration and governance to leadership training, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), office management, gender and development, financial management, project management, conflict management and negotiation, e-government management, Total Quality Management (TQM), training of trainers (TOT) and personal development. It also arranges of seminars and workshops on various issues of national and global concerns. All courses can be customized to fit specific training needs. A leader in the field of administration and development is not always an inborn talent but that can be taught, cultivated and practiced. The aim of the centre is to equip future leaders and policy makers with the background necessary for a broad understanding of varied social, economic, political, environmental, scientific and organizational aspects involved in the planning of national policies and strategies. In addition to focusing 3Es-efficiency, economy and effectiveness, the centre concentrates on embracing equity, responsiveness, inclusiveness, accountability, innovation and collaboration.

During our six-month Foundation Training Programme at BPATC, we forged unforgettable memories that will be cherished forever. From the very first day, we embarked on a journey of learning and camaraderie. Our mornings started with the soothing sounds of nature, surrounded by the lush greenery of the BPATC campus. The bond we formed with our fellow trainees grew stronger with each passing day, as we navigated through various modules and workshops together. The cafeteria became our daily hub, where we shared hearty laughter and conversations over cups of tea and delicious meals. Our late-night study sessions were filled with determination and mutual support, as we prepared for exams and presentations. Field trips and outdoor activities brought excitement and a welcome break from our rigorous schedules. Whether it was the team-building exercises or the cultural evenings, each event added a layer of richness to our experience. As we graduated from the programme, we left not only with newfound knowledge and skills but also with a network of friends who had become like family. Bangaldesh Public Administration Training Centre is located in the Savar Union, beside Dhaka Aricha Highway, close to Jahangirnagar University. It's one the best training institutes in Bangaldesh. It provides various training facilities to a BCS cadre as well as government officials. It has school, college facilities for its employees' family. The environment of this institute is charming and the services are quite satisfactory. It has several ponds, lake, a international auditorium and several class rooms.

BPATC is a training center for public sector with great facilities and it has a great natural environment which is also an opportunity for a trainee to enjoy that.
