So excited for this place to come to the neighborhood and offer something new and refreshing! I would absolutely return for drinks, but food leaves you wanting more. The staff is great, friendly, and generally knowledgeable of the menu items. The decor is amazing and kitschy and so fun. Each of the bathrooms has a different wallpaper that makes for a great selfie backdrop. I went opening weekend and ordered a salad with chicken and figured, "what the hell", I'll try the Talbott Street Fries too since it's a signature item. Both items looked great, but seemed to lack depth of flavor. The cheese sauce and white bbq on the fries were indistinguishable from each other and the pickled jalapeño seemed to be the only thing giving them flavor. The salad was a good size and pretty tasty. The chicken was seasoned well and I enjoyed the cornbread croutons. My friend ordered a smash burger and she reported that it was about a level above steak and shake burgers flavor wise, but a few levels above price point wise. With it being a smash burger and shoestring fries this is where our mind went! They have a great cocktail menu and my friend loved her spiked milkshake. I was really craving a classic margarita and noticed they had all the components. When I asked for one I was told they were unable to do this, which was kind of shocking. You just have to remove the orange juice from the Flazeda, but this was asking too much. This is a great spot for drinks and I did enjoy the Making Herstory on my second time there, but I feel like they can improve on the food. Hopefully will be back soon to try the fried chicken and give it another shot! The neighborhood could use another great spot!

As pretty much everyone has said, great atmosphere, food definitely overpriced. Me and my husband and baby racked up $80 way too easily for lunch. I had the veg burger but wasn't too into it. Didn't finish because the flavor was just kind of overwhelming. Broccoli slaw was very spicy and has tomato or some kind of reddish flavored thing added, also found it hard to finish (I don't recall them saying it was spicy and it was more than a little kick so I was not expecting it.) I thought the charging for all sides a la carte was a bit much considering the food wasn't that amazing. drinks are great tho - I got the one with "Jiggly" in its name and LOVED it. Our friend got the spiked chocolate pb shake and it was SO good. Service was generally good but the staff who came to bus / clean up our table didn't seem to be able to register that we were asking for a box for one dish. Also she cleared nearly everything from our table while we were still sitting there (like every napkin, etc) which I only realized as she was doing it is typically done AFTER one leaves. It was kind of awkward. Our friends had to order a second item for their daughter toward the end of the meal, which ended up taking a crazy long time to come out. Oh and they have great toys for kids on the table! And a nice play area. Not sure if I'd go back... Would rather go where my money will take me farther! Cute place tho.

I recently dined at baby's restaurant and had an overall mix experience . The ability of the place is charming with these high tables and chairs that add a unique touch to the décor. The cleanliness of the establishment was great, creating a pleasant environment for dining. However, my dining and experience was married by a few notable. Incidents, the cheese curds ,unfortunately, was a disappointment. They appeared charred and had an off-putting burnt taste. Despite this, the service was quite good , especially the waiter who served us water was helpful. On a more unexpected note, we had it incident where an unaccompanied child seated behind my husband stabbed him in the head with a fork. Fortunately, no one was harmed, and we assumed the child might be really hungry. Although it was an unexpected and somewhat uncomfortable occurrence, we understood it to be an accident in summary. Of aviance and cleanliness of baby's restaurant were appealing. The quality of some dishes like the cheesecurds left a bad taste.

Baby baby baby ohhhhh, True to form, I’ve been wanting to come here for a minute, first I read about this in the Indy Star, then I saw it crop up on Instagram and yelp and the colorful picture really had me curious. Today the food stars alined and I was able to pop over and check it out, and I’m sure glad that I did! Baby’s is located in the old Talbott Street night club, it’s been completely redone, it’s colorful, glittery, has funky lights and different wallpapers. I was surprised to learn that the same folks who own ball and biscuit own baby’s, thanks for another awesome concept! The food was amazing, I went with the strut burger which is smash style (hold the burger down until the edges get crispy) with bacon, gouda, dazzle sauce, and mango chutney, I indeed smashed the whole thing. There's a ton of options for drinks and boozy milkshakes naturally I had to have the fall seasonal. The Tart Carmel Apple with Apple whiskey, Apple brandy and hazelnut. All around great experience and I’d go back for more!

This place was AMAZING! Glad we got to stop while in town. My 3 year old would love the play area!! Such a chic place! The banana pop art was so cute! We were greeted as soon as we came in the door by a LOVELY personality who let us know how the restaurant works as we were sitting down. 10/5 stars!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We picked this place solely because it was on our way to our sleeping accommodation for the night. We were delighted with our choice. This is a cool place to hang with friends if you find yourself visiting the Indianapolis area. It's a very casual place. Anyone wearing shorts and flip flops would fit in just fine. We ordered burgers and onion rings from the menu. The food was brought to us hot and tasty, and it appears some care was taken when the burgers were put together. It was not slopped together. The onion rings were not greasy. It was crunchy. It was just ✅️ for me. The drinks are pre-made and served via tap. Not fancy. Presentable and tasty. The employees were all personable, friendly, and outgoing.

Chilly night but still sat outside. They do have heaters! My wife has to be gluten free and they do have a gluten free bun and their fries are fried in a separate fryer! Overall, the chicken tenders were fresh, house made, and delicious! The fries were awesome. I love buffalo sauce and the vegan fried mushrooms buffalo style were a great plus. Overall great experience and great service!

This was a great, family friendly stop for lunch while on a road trip. You seat yourself and order at the counter. Food is delivered to your seat by table number. The atmosphere is very colorful and the restaurant appears very clean, including the restrooms. The restrooms are large and single use and all have diaper changing tables. There is a little kids play area outside. It was great! The only thing which would make it easier for me, as I was traveling with kids by myself would be the ability to order from my phone at our table rather than standing in the long line, trying to keep track of two stubborn, nosy, curious little ones. Also, help with refills on water or napkins! Ha!

This place is pure joy! Fun atmosphere, like a retro diner. Got the Strut Burger which has fantastic mango chutney in it, and a key lime pie milkshake (seasonal) that had graham cracker crust at the bottom so its like drinking pie. Definitely need to try some of the other burgers sometime! The mac and cheese menu also looks exciting

Enjoyed the food all around here. Burgers are good (smash burgers). They have great gluten-free practices which allowed my niece to eat fries which are cooked in a separate fryer and is pretty hard to find. The seasonal shake flavor is mint like a shamrock shake only 100 times better. They had perfect kid-sized shakes too. We sat outside in a enclosed area which was nice and warm. They also have a patio area to eat outside when the weather is warmer. Cheese fries were also very good. Definitely recommend and really appreciate the gluten-free practices which made it enjoyable for us all!

Very welcoming staff and atmosphere. Absolutely adorable decor. I loved that they had so many vegan options! My impossible burger was outstanding. I ordered the mushrooms, which were cooked perfectly but bland. I will have to try some of the other sides next time. My husband's fries looked tasty. My tiki drink was not that flavorful either (it was like just like drinking a plain coconut water) and was on the small size. I'm going to try a shake next time instead. They have a great patio area and welcome kids and pups. I saw kids having a great time playing on the play area that they have on site. Everyone there seemed to be having a great time. We will absolutely be back again.

We had a really good experience. First we were told we had to order at the counter and then have a seat, but the bartender told us we could sit there at the bar and order which was much more comfortable. The food was really good. The fries are pretty basic I have to say and we had to ask for fresh fries because they werent too hot ,neither was my burger. The cheese wasnt even melted. BUT, they fixed it w out hesitation and it turned out great !! It wasnt cold just not to my liking which is piping hot..so, I cant really blame them too much although I think the cheese should have been melted..I ordered yellow American which they forgot the first time around and gouda..I def wanted the gouda melted. The milkshakes are really tasty.

Baby's has something special going on for the city of Indianapolis. Great vegan options, as in the best vegan chicken strips I have ever had. The shakes alone set baby's in a league of their own. You order your food at the counter and then find your seat and enjoy the vibes that is baby's.

LOVE the vegan options so much. This is an amazing place for a good old american burger and fries. They also have a vegan shake option, that has a different flavor of the month. Vegan tenders for kids. Love the sauce options too. If you're a sauce person like me, do yourself a favor and visit.

If Instagram opened a diner… this would be it! Cute decor and major vintage diner vibes! The food actually backs up the atmosphere. The milkshakes are a must-try. One of the best chocolate shakes I’ve ever had. The smash burgers are bigger and thicker than you’d expect from a traditional smash burger. Lots of topping options available to customize and build your own. The fries reminded me of a cross between McDonald's and Steak n Shake fries… which I really like! Prices are pretty spot on for what you get. They have a kids menu and a late-night menu available. I’m not sure about delivery options yet. This definitely feels like it will become a burger destination for Indianapolis.

We just returned for our first trip to Babys and we had a blast! The space is absolutely beautiful, both inside and out on the large patio. The staff is so attentive and sweet, as well. We attended the drag brunch, so the food we ate was not a part of their normal menu. We had chicken and waffles, loaded tots, and donut holes as a part of the brunches menu. It wasn't my favorite, but our mimosas and my delicious milkshake more than made up for the food. We truly enjoyed the show and left Baby's with huge grins on our faces. We will be back again! Next time we are bringing the kids!!

Food was good, just a tad pricy for no sides, but I can get over that if the food is exceptional and service is good. Unfortunately the service was miserable (not sure if she was having a bad day but the restaurant was slow). The server’s attitude did not match the bubbly decor. Spoke to the owner after the meal and she was very nice and receptive. PS, don’t order the Pork Sandwich because even though it’s on the menu and online the server said “we don’t serve that anymore”. On another note, kids portions were good.

My child and I were on the hunt for an amazing mushroom swiss burger after they had a tumor removed at IU Hospital. We aren't local so we were just flying blind and came across this place online. We both got the Swissy That Walk and fries. I have to say that was the best mushroom swiss burger I've ever had in my life, the fries were so good, and when I went in to pick it up, the whole place is so cute!! 10/10, we will be back in Indy next month and we aren't leaving without stopping by Baby's.

This place is cool. I could stop my review right here…. but I will continue. Let’s start with how awesome the location is at the corner of 22nd and Talbott. They have a very nice pet-friendly outdoor dining area. The burgers are really good. When I read smash burgers I thought they would be thinner so I ordered a double. This burger was huge. So much bigger than many other places. I believe most people would be perfectly content with a single and that leaves you room to share some mac and cheese or french fries. Pro tip: fries are really good but eat them while they are hot! I will be back. Probably will get a shake next time!

  • Bryce Bernard

Hit and miss. Last few times a miss. Expensive for portion sizes and also incorrect orders or missing items from orders. Most recently, missing an order of fries and the chicken tenders were anemic. Really want to love this place as it's in the neighborhood but it's making it hard when they don't meet expectations consistantly. It's also been 2 weeks and I'm still waiting for the promised refund for missing items in my order. Baby's failed to hold up to their commitment, the refund never came.

Baby’s Drag Brunch! Second Sunday’s of the month is my new place of worship! Grab up tickets when they come available ($5ea) and it gets you in! They offer a $25 prefixed menu that’s three courses (app, entree and dessert). We loved everything and the cocktails are so delicious! The show was amazing! Bring all your $1 bills and tip the amazing talented performers. They really know how to put on a show! Each month they offer something different so you could go every month! We had loaded fries as our app, chicken and waffles and a deliciously huge cookie for dessert. Picture of the chicken and waffles.

We went with a larger group with 4 kids 6 adults and had a great time. Music was playing in the outdoor space but the kids play section blocked the noise and made it awesome to converse. Food was amazing. I really liked the buffalo chicken sandwich. Only thing I could say is it would be nice if they had more than 2 beers on tap.

Haven't been here in a while and this place used to be a favorite. I'd heard the quality of food had changed and man tonight was a disappointment. First it was counter service only, so no servers. My smash burger was a burnt hockey puck and the bun was burnt. The cheese wasn't even melted on it. The biggest disappointment is they changed the onion rings! Ugh they used to be SO good, obviously hand dipped. What I got today looked like some standard heat up frozen item. Way too pricey if this is how the quality is going to continue to be. Honestly angry I spent that much on straight up bad food.

Took my kid out for a late lunch that wasn't a fast food chain. My mom found Baby's on line so we thought we'd give it a shot. So glad we did. The interior is super cute and relaxed. We were greeted warmly and took a seat. Lots of standard options and we both had a build your own burger, and decided to share chili cheese fries. OH My goodness was it good! Nothing fancy just really well done. We'll be back, and absolutely recommend people stop here to grab a bite. Next time I'm going to have to get a milkshake.

We came in for a late lunch today. Staff was very friendly and service was super quick even though we weren't in a rush. We ordered burgers and fries and I tried the key lime shake. Wonderful atmosphere and tasty options! The staff was nice enough to put vegan chicken tenders on a bun for a little chicken sandwich. It was so tasty I would recommend they put it on the menu- very crispy tenders and a generous serving of quite salty fries. The chocolate milkshake was amazing, and I would love to try a vegan milkshake when they have a flavor other than vanilla. Loved the live thursday music and outdoor seating.

Literally forgot my burger in a delivery order. I normally do not post reviews like this but it is infuriating to order a burger and fries for a lunch break and only receive fries and be unable to do anything about it (not even be properly refunded due to using a delivery app). This was absolutely not the delivery person's fault as the bag was stapled and the receipt did not indicate multiple bags

This is a really good place to go eat. Me and my husband went here last night for dinner and it was really good. I had the chicken tenders and fries and it was wonderful. My husband had the fish and fries and he said it was great . Me and my husband had to try the Buffalo fries for an appetizers and they where really good . Their milkshakes are off the chain. it's a very nice place to sit down and eat . I will be going back .

Absolutely awesome. Atmosphere is very vibrant with pictures of local scenery and bright colors. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food is great and there's a ton of toppings to customize your burger with. There's also a very large drink menu with creative names paying homage to drag and LGBTQ culture. Off one impression this may be one of my new favorite local restaurants in Indianapolis. Will be back again very soon!

Costs way too much for very simple slightly nicer fast food. Burgers don’t come with fries??? Regular shakes are smaller than kids size for 6 bucks??? And menu items too much for average tasting food. For a place that people recommended I was pretty disappointed.

Local neighborhood favorite. Burgers your way. Veggie and meal substitute as well. Try the broasted chicken sandwich. It’s fantastic. Good quality at a slightly higher price point. Good size portions. Indoor and outdoor seating. Service is quick and efficient. Large outdoor dining area with fireplace. Great place in the evening to relax and get a causal bite to eat.

Forced takeout due to dine in construction- not a huge deal because patio was open to sit at, but the service was RUDE and they weren’t serving any alcoholic beverages at all. Close at 8 but the doors locked at 7:45. Burger was bad- no sauce on it. Fries fine. Terrible end to a bad day.

Great atmosphere, trendy decor, clean and open. Ross was a fabulous server! Food was very good - served hot & just as ordered. Family friendly too. We had a custom smashburger, side of Mac n cheese, fish & chips... all good choices. Nice gem in Fall Creek area!

Really cute place to eat, they have in and outside tables which is awesome. Staff are amazing but the food ain’t it. My husband’s and brother’s burgers were burnt had no seasoning. I had a pork tenderloin and it was good but it had way to much breading. The fries, onion ring, lemonade, and shakes were really good though.

  • Becca Panyard

So amazing. Absolutely nothing bad to say about Babys. Our server, Austin, was superb. He went over the menu with us and gave us great recommendations (get the dazzle sauce on your burger & a boozy milkshake) the food came out very quickly and was hot, delicious, and affordable. We will be back again soon!

The service was excellent. The server was very friendly and prompt and the drag performers are great. However it did feel silly paying $25 for what was definitely an eggo toaster waffle . It's also not the best space for a performance because of how it's shaped. You can't see for 1/3 to 1/2 the show More

5/10 wouldn’t recommend.. onion rings was hard to chew.. barley received any onion rings, burgers were burnt and bland. Spent 35$ for nothing when me or my son really didn’t enjoy it. I will not be returning.

The fries and chicken were so dry and tasteless, some pieces of the chicken were not well cook inside. Such a shame, and also very expensive. The best part was the beer . Plus the new self-service was so confusing and the food runners were a bit rude. Not coming back. Decor is cute. …

Got there and walked in and was only able to order a strawberry milkshake because they closed their grill early that night. My first time ever there and it just didn't pan out so well for a brotha. I may give them another chance because the shake was very tasty

The burgers and fries are always great but on this trip, the pistachio shake won it for me. I like the change to ordering at the counter and then it gets brought to you. Please still tip because they are working hard.

Husband and I love this restaurant! He had the premade house burger and they had delicious vegan options for me! I had the seasonal pumpkin pie non dairy shake! Everything was delicious! Next time we come in town we will visit and bring our kids!

  • Shelby Fleener

Such an incredible place! The atmosphere that baby’s gives off makes everyone feel so welcomed. The food is to die for. If you get a chance to go to their drag brunch you will NOT be disappointed. The service is fast, friendly, and upbeat.

  • Kelly Holloway

Server at the counter was patient, knowledgeable about the products and was very careful to make sure our allergies were carefully noted. Loaded fries were a bit too salty with both the cheese sauce and the bacon, and the gluten free bun

  • Sara Dailey

I'll start with the positive. The staff was friendly, the shakes were good, the atmosphere was fun. But, we waited a really long time for our food, especially considering how you order and the style of food. Half of our burgers came out

  • Rhonda Hoeft

I really thought this place was adorable. The heated patio was a welcomed touch so close to spring. I had a lettuce burger and fries. Bonus: the fries are gluten free! So nice to feel like I could treat myself without getting sick.

  • Diane Russell

The waitress we had was excellent! She was very pleasant and patient. The food was delicious! Large portions so be prepared to share, especially the fries. Four of us could not finish them. The kids said the shakes were great.

Attempted to dine here around 630pm on a Saturday. We were greeted nicely but when we sat down we noticed nobody was dining? The floors were dirty, the menus were dirty. We opted to leave.
