We were intrigued by this bar on yelp because my husband and I are both italian. I saw a couple of drinks/ dishes that were appealing and both of us really like gastropubs, which is what it is listed as. We showed up with a friend of ours and sat down. It was extremely loud in there and we were at the table for almost 10 minutes before anyone even looked our way. It seemed very unorganized and even our food came out wrong. We ordered the meat and cheese tray and they had forgotten the meat entirely. No one came back to check on us after the food was delivered to tell them that it was wrong. It took a good 15-20 minutes or so to be able to get a new drink and the meat for the tray. The guy that was helping us seemed overwhelmed compared to the other 2 people behind the bar. They didn't seem like they were doing too much at all. I've been a bartender before and have worked in very populated/fast paced nightclubs. I have no clue what the others were doing at all because there were only about 5 people sitting at the bar and no one was ordering food. When the guy did come to check on us, he was really nice but he was scrambling to do everything outside/ behind the bar and no one was helping him. The guy that helped us was extremely nice and that is why I gave it two stars! Unless things change tremendously, we will not go back there sadly.

The bartenders were getting drunk at the bar while they where working . Didn’t like the vibes or energy from this place at all . I paid for drinks , then when I went outside I was asked did I pay for what I was drinking , told the bartender I was going outside and was told that someone would assist me . 20 mins later nothing . When I went inside to ask if a person could be sent I was told “ To go find a table “ as if I didn’t tell him I was going outside and the worst part , he could see me from the bar and the table I was sitting at . Servers and the bartender just drinking , the server was weird and drunk . The place lacked professionalism & bad attitudes !!!!!!!!!!!

I have never eaten hear but I have always had Skinny margaritas from different bartenders here and every time it has been a huge success. They have some outdoor seating which is nice to people watch. Staff is super accessible and friendly it is a good place to come with a small group of friends or by yourself. The place is small and sometimes does it get a little crowded. Will update this post once I decide to try their food.

Fantastic experience! All of the bar staff and the owner are so friendly, the service is impeccable, and the bar just emits a really fun vibe. My friends and I were here on New Year's Day and everyone really was having a grand old time! you get the feeling that everyone knows each other, but we didn't feel excluded at all. the drinks are good and the food was delicious. I highly recommend a stop in at this bar

Bar tenders were great, excellent service and great drinks. However, the shift manager Alicia... should be working graveyard at a Dennys in Tijuana. Trash person with absolutely no manners and an unacceptable attitude towards paying patrons. Ask if Alicia is working, if so.. leave, if not then enjoy yourself. Great establishment except for the poor choice in management.

Balen was awesome!! Made our day. She deserves a raise. We were skeptical of burgers in little Italy as it’s obviously not an Italian specialty… Turns out we were wrong. Food was wonderful, inexpensive too! The burger and garlic fries were bomb. Highly recommend and will be back. Nice atmosphere, good music and overall wonderful experience for our entire party.

Stopped in after a day on Mission beach for a drink and snack before heading to the hotel. Was not disappointed. Server had a fun energy, very upbeat and friendly. We had beer and wine and cheesy crack dip! Great way to end a great day. Little Italy never disappoints and Bar One is a great part of that! Highly recommend a table on the street.

Service was incredible. B was an amazing bartender. She was very attentive to our group and also was able to joke with us between serving and cleaning. We bought a hat from their merch and the only one left was on the wall so she went and got a ladder to get it down for us. Overall it was a wonderful experience.

Visiting friends in San Diego - LOVE BAR ONE!!! We have had Liz each time as our server and she is AWESOME!!! Such a sweet lady, attentive and personable. She made our visit to Bar One even better. The food was deelish! Love their breakfast burrito so much!!! And the bloody’s are sooooo good!!

Relaxed atmosphere, mostly outside so you can bring your dogs! I have only had breakfast here, but everything that we got was good. The breakfast bowl was so good! Nothing crazy, but a good easy spot to grab breakfast at. They also have bottomless mimosas for 15 which is pretty good.

Sat outside for 18 minutes and the waitresses past myself and my friend four times and never helped us. We went around the corner and ate somewhere else. Would never go here again! I’ll give one star for the nice outdoor seating!

Excellent sidewalk Cafe bar and grill. 1) Burger was done to perfection. 2) Buffalo Wings were wet and flavorful. 3) Side Caesar was almost a full Dinner salad size. 4) Service, off the charts... great time.

Fun selection of seltzers, it’s nice to get away from the usual white claws every once and awhile. Toasted ravioli was delicious! Service was good. But didn’t quite have that comfortable, friendly vibe I was looking for, so I had one and kept moving.

Came in for a football game and was not disappointed. Had meatballs, wings and poutine, all delicious. Beer selection is a bit limited (for a San Diego bar) but who cares what's on tap when you can drink the High Life and get a free coozie.

Stopped by for a quick drink. Waitress was nice and the patio area out front was nice. Menu looked decent so would come back to try it. Check it out if your walking around. Cool place and its in the shade on the patio!

Visiting from Indiana. Stopped in after the awesome lil Italy farmer’s market. Had the steak hash. So good! Service was great. Watched some football and chilled.

This place is solid in terms of having decent food and a responsive staff. I always am attracted to coming here. I have never had a bad experience despite coming here over 20 times.

The wife and I are bar hopping and came here for a few drinks and catch some basketball...Great service and what you would expect with bar food...I would definitely recommend!!!!

Considering it is in Little Italy you actually had choices added to d'lish hamburgers for a reasonable price and is very doggy friendly.
