Lovely time spent here pleasant hang out, over looking the ocean in fact on the ocean clean,neart,tidy,friendly want to go back atmosphere, drinks price very reasonable and the lady kept cleaning up our table loved my visit there please do stop in have a seat and a drink well worth it!

This is a great place to hang out with friends or have a work meeting. Their COVID-19 protocols are in place and they have competitive prices. Great view at the beach. Pity they don't serve small meals, but luckily they're next to Steers. So it's a win-win …

Visited briefly on 6 August during our stay at Strand Pavilion. In spite of sanitizing at entrance door, no social distancing in place, no masks, and the place stinks of cigarette smoke (numerous patrons) in spite of “No Smoking” sign above bar counter. Not again!!

My favourite place to hang out for 30 years! Always good vibe, nice bar men. Came from overseas on holiday in strand for 15 years, was at Bart's every day! Now in strand permanently and still luving it! Just miss the live music in these times!!!

We loved it. There were no judgement and everybody there are so friendly and the service was fast and efficient. It became our favorite choice of bar to visit. The view of the ocean is just perfect from the whole establishment. Well done. …

We just love to visit this unpretentious tavern for a sun downer! Nearer to the sea, you can not get. They don't serve food here, but simply take your Stears burger or Oceana fish and chips, and down it with a beer. They do not mind it at all.

Best View from inside a the bar in the Helderberg area. Very friendly service. Fantastic and affordable prices and specials ons drinks. Spend many late night in Barts since 1999. Will always be one off my favorite bars to visit when in strand.

The whole bar faces the sunset perfectly. Great setting, reasonable prices and mediocre interior. Not for the pretentious nor the glamorous, but ideal if you're looking for an everyone-and-everything-is-welcome post-work drink.

This bar is very nice right on the ocean with waves breaking right there and splashing the windows. Good staff except for the "so called door guard" who informed me I cannot take a video of the place with the waves breaking

Chris and Shane were amazingly friendly and helpful. They had no kitchen or menu but offered us the table to have a beer and finish our Steers from next door. Awesome views and will definitely go back!

The most beautiful view in Strand. Have a sundowner and peer out the window at the old peer, while enjoying a draft beer or Brandy and Coke special. They also have interesting live music on weekends.

Great if you enjoy a few beers.... beach front.... and they've got some machines in the side for those who like to try their luck.... Nice place to go to..... enjoyed the atmosphere...

Its hard to find a genuine old school pub hidden on the beach promenade....but its an oasis for thirsty travellers and seaman docking anchor!

Always selling flat beer and now ONLY in a mug! Lekker pub just a pity the manager doesn’t bother to give patrons what they want.

One of the best location there can ever be...sitting literally right over the incoming tide. Nice local pub atmosphere.

Cozy place, kind bartenders and good WiFi which is important for me. Not so busy currently but its still a nice vibe!

Have not tried the food, was there for sundowners. Great spot for that as it is right on the water.
