Bettersea Park is a magnificent park located in the heart of London, and it's definitely one of the city's must-visit attractions. Spread over 200 acres, this vast park offers a wide range of activities and sights for visitors of all ages. One of the highlights of the park is its beautiful lake, which is home to a variety of birds and other wildlife. Visitors can take a boat ride on the lake or simply sit by the shore and enjoy the scenery. There are also several playgrounds scattered throughout the park, making it an excellent destination for families with children. Bettersea Park also boasts some impressive gardens, including the subtropical garden, the winter garden, and the Mediterranean garden. These lush, vibrant gardens are a feast for the eyes and a great place to relax and unwind. For those who enjoy sports and fitness activities, the park has several facilities, including tennis courts, a running track, and a skate park. There's even a free outdoor gym where visitors can work out while enjoying the fresh air. Battersea Park and was impressed by its beautiful landscapes and diverse range of activities. This historic park is located in the heart of London and offers a tranquil retreat from the city's hustle and bustle. The park is well-maintained and features a range of gardens, fountains, and lakes that make for a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. I enjoyed strolling through the Rose Garden and the Subtropical Garden, admiring the beautiful flowers and plants. In addition to its natural beauty, Battersea Park offers a range of recreational activities for visitors of all ages. I particularly enjoyed the boating lake, where I rented a rowing boat and enjoyed the scenic views of the park from the water. The park also features a range of sports facilities, including tennis courts, a cricket pitch, and a running track. And for families with children, there's a playground, a zoo, and even a miniature golf course. Overall, I highly recommend a visit to Battersea Park. While we left our dog to have an operation at Battersea dogs and cats home as a day patient, we decided to walk around the park and the boating lake. What impressed us most, was the lack of traffic noise and seeing very little rubbish. It was so peaceful and very pretty with the leaves starting to change into their autumnal colours. We used the cafe for a quick cuppa, and then headed back to Battersea. If in this direction with time to spare go take a walk we didnt see all of it, but what we did experience was very calming and relaxing
Dog-friendliness
Lots of dogs running around, everyone keeping their distance, most if not all were off lead, dogs were ment to be on leads near the water, no trouble, just dogs being dogs.
Picnic area
The cafe was busy, more people inside that outside as the sun kept going behind the clouds, a beaitiful grey heron landed 2 tables away from us, what children were around were in keen to get closer, parents kept a close eye on their kids and took photos.

Battersea Park is a beautiful and historic park in London, located on the south bank of the River Thames. It has something for everyone, whether you want to enjoy nature, culture, sports or family fun. You can stroll along the riverside promenade, admire the many notable trees and ecological areas, visit the children’s zoo or the Pump House gallery, or have a picnic on the grass. The park also has a variety of sports facilities, including an all-weather sports ground, a millennium arena and a bandstand. The park is well-maintained and has a friendly atmosphere. It is easily accessible by public transport or by car, and there are plenty of parking spaces available. I would highly recommend visiting Battersea Park if you are looking for a relaxing and enjoyable day out in London

One of my favourite parks, has lots of open space for playing, sitting down for a picnic or even a gathering. The playground has different areas for different age groups making it suitable for all. There is also Go Ape you can pay to take part in as well as mini golf in the Putt in park area. Which also has an accessible restaurant for dining with food and drinks. We went for a nice walk, with lots of playing then had a spot of lunch. A nice park to visit and has lots to do in and around it. There is also Battersea park zoo on site. We visited the funfair that is there for a limited time afterwards.

Wonderful park. Lots of light during the later hours, there is plenty of places for children to hang out and play, there is an area for exercise, lots of lakes and lots of animals.
Playground
There’s a massive area including; a jungle gym, a massive half boat in the ground, there are swings and much more.
Restrooms
There is a restroom in the restaurant/cafe in the park near the playground.
Dog-friendliness
A lot of pet owners about, from big to small dogs. All that’s asked is to pick up after them!
Picnic area
Many many areas to have picnics, a lot of open places with flat ground areas, plenty of privacy. You have some areas ‘with booths’, including benches with tables that have a roof over it. There are also single benches spread out everywhere.

One of the most beautiful parks in London. Always underestimated and overlooked. Following the expansion in nine elms and the construction of the battersea power station complex, the area has been made into a fancy haven - surpassing areas such as Chelsea and Fulham. The park is extensive- mini lake, cafes, small petting zoo, tennis courts, football grounds and little mini parks with water features and water fountains. A great location to learn to run/ roller skate or to use the scooter. It is children friendly and disabled friendly. The autumn colours has made the whole park look spectacular. Well hidden away from traffic, one side facing enclosed by the river Thames. The park holds its own historical monuments and towers. The pictures do not do it justice.

Went for the second time with my 2 daughters and grandchildren. It's a large beautiful park with something for everyone. There is a long walk along the walk, acres of grassy areas to sit and picnic in and plenty of tree lined walkways. It has a nice Buddhist Peace center also. It has activity centre's for small children. We had a nice walk followed by a picnic. Spent about 5 hours there. I would recommend Battersea Park to everyone.
Playground
There are a few available for children
Restrooms
Available but one has to walk. The one I went to was not very clean and none of the 3 hand sanitizer stations worked
Picnic area
It so large and grassy and tree lined that there are a zillion places where one can picnic

  • Dr Oliver Sacks

I'll come clean, I didn't go in (though I'd have liked to just to see if it's true that the Swatch shop staff are rude to customers asking about the Omega moonwatches) but that's because I was walking 26.2 miles for charity with about 10,000 other people for cancer research on a Saturday night in Central London and this was literally the first mile in! It looked amazing though especially with its light show (love the way the old brickwork is picked out by the ground level uplighting). I sent the picture I uploaded here to my colleagues at work and one of them asked "where's that?" which I guess proves those chimneys are not quite as iconic as I thought they were.

We visited the "put in the park" mini golf course here and had a lovely meal afterwards of very nice pizzas. The mini golf putting course has 12 challenging holes to play with an average par of around 3. It was such an enjoyable experience, and got very competitive very quickly. The pizzas were also very tasty and a good size for the price. The rest rooms, however, were a bit of a mess, and toilets ran out of paper. Overall, it's a great place to have fun with the family.
Playground
Playground was there for the kids and had soft mats on the floors.
Restrooms
A bit messy
Picnic area
Lots of space here eating.

  • angela lambert

Exotic garden is filled with the aroma of ripe fig fruits. So many different social groups enjoying different activities.
Playground
Very adult friendly for adult groups especially young / young minded groups( maybe a little Rowdy). Not teaming with stuff for kids at all
Restrooms
Didn't see any rest rooms, unfortunately.
Dog-friendliness
Lots of small dogs. Only saw one black lab. And they were all happy
Picnic area
Tables for picnic use every where . Didn't see specifically designated picnic tables. Maybe outdoor barbecuing is banned? Tranquil park benches to stop and rest at

Haven't been to this park for years, and was pleasantly surprised to see all the improvements. The apple blossom is amazing. Great out door space to socialise with friends and family, young and old. Good paths for wheelchairs, and push chairs, plenty of places to get something to eat, although probably best to take a picnic as food places were all very busy. There are nice walks by the river, plenty of seating to rest a while, a boating lake, play park as well as adventure park, for the more adventurous. Park is well kept. Thoroughly recommend a visit, if only just to sit under beautiful apple blossom.

  • may chaw Win

I particularly liked the view of the Albert bridge from the park as I strolled down the river bank in the evening.Additionally, when it is not busy after sunset, the peace pagoda location is incredibly tranquil and heals my souls.Additionally, you can go to Battersea Power Station to shop and eat out. The drawback is that recently, I've noticed some people using the bike lane at high speeds, which is dangerous for pedestrians.Additionally, I observed several individuals riding motorbikes in races in some areas of the park, which at times really irritated me.

  • T Lad

What an amazing park. Lots of things to do. There is kids play area for all ages groups. If you want to BBQ in the park or just have a picnic, there is ample space. Parking can be a bit tricky and expensive but it’s all worth it. Go ape adventures, a company specialising in rope adventure is a big add on. I have been visiting this park with my family and friends for over 14 years and we all just love to be there.
Playground
Amazing play area for all age groups
Picnic area
A very big park to enjoy your picnic and to play ball.

  • Helen Tannor

Attended a wedding at Pump House Gallery in the park.. amazing venue though the space in the building itself isn't big.. but the ambience makes up for that . We sat outside, there was a barbecue, music etc it was great.. it will definitely be one of my top picks for an intimate event in summer/autumn.. the buggy service was also very helpful - picking and dropping of guests to and from various points in the park. I highly recommend..4.5 stars taking half star for the limited floor space in the building otherwise perfect

  • Prathap Kota

I have been here for a Corporate Run and the park is very beautiful and huge and is also a haven for active individuals and sports enthusiasts. It has well-maintained sports fields, provide ample space for football, cricket, and other recreational activities. The park's running paths cater to joggers and walkers, encouraging a healthy and active lifestyle while being immersed in a serene environment. Additionally, the park's many cafes and kiosks offer a variety of refreshments and snacks. Love to visit it again.

  • Chloe Boulos

Visited the park for their annual Firework display on the 5th of November and it was fantastic. Very well organised making your way through the park to the location, the queue went down quick and the firework display was great, perfectly timed with music. It was extremely busy but plenty of space to watch the fireworks and there wasn’t any pushing in the crowd we were in. It was a pretty wet day so the ground was quite muddy and there was a lot of people struggling with a pushchair which I wouldn’t recommend.

  • Maddie Thompson

Lovely, clean, large, dog-friendly, child friendly park. There’s a variety of things to do here, from Go Ape to The Zoo, Pedal Boats to a River Walk, and so much more. Had a great time just having a picnic with food from a Cafe, Visiting the zoo and having a walk around! Looking forward to going again!
Playground
Large child’s play area. All ages using it. Good variety of apparatus.
Dog-friendliness
Very busy with dogs; I love it, but people who dislike dogs will most likely stuggle

With its stunning gardens, picturesque lake, and abundance of wildlife, it's the perfect place to relax and unwind. The park also offers a range of activities, including boating, cycling, and tennis, making it ideal for families and outdoor enthusiasts. Whether you're looking for a peaceful stroll or a fun-filled day out, Battersea Park has something for everyone. Highly recommended!

  • Patryk Koziara

Pretty places, gardens from the 1800s and even older spaces. A nice and old treasure from London that has things that come from different times. New and shiny things mixed with traditional and old things. There are small bodies of water, paths to walk on, small boats to ride, birds to watch, bikes to ride, and yummy cold treats to eat! And, there is also a special area for kids to see and interact with animals! The big old trees are amazing and you can get lost in the park.

  • Julen Alfonso

This park is absolutely beautiful! It's a fantastic place to go for a walk, especially on a sunny day. Additionally, its close proximity to the Battersea Power Station makes it even more appealing. The park is highly accessible, and I found it easy to reach. Moreover, it is well-maintained and impeccably clean, creating a pleasant environment for visitors. Great open space, great for training and walking. Clean and well maintained. There tend to be a lot of dogs, and the owners aren't always considerate, we had our picnic stolen by a dog once, and the owner apologised, but our food was still gone. Toilets are good, and the 2 coffee huts are good too. Cute squirrels and parrots, if you're into that too.
Restrooms
2 toilets that I know of. Clean enough for park toilets, sometimes closed though

  • Tee SeaSea

London's Battersea Park is by far the most beautiful green space. In Battersea Park, you'll always find something to do and see on a perfect Summer's day amidst friends and family, enjoying yourself and exploring the park. Walking along the river is a nice experience, and the area is also quite large. It's great for picnics and early morning running. There are several outdoor sports facilities as well as a children's zoo, a lake, and a bandstand.

  • London Double Trouble

I came here for the fireworks this year and it was such a great shout, I've been to quite a few in London and this was in the top three for sure. The display was brilliant and the size and space of the park I can imagine is lovely to visit and walk around in. Worth a visit if you want to visit a London park. First time from me and not far from the Battersea Power Station which is also recommended to go check out and see. Solid A***** LDT x

  • Fibi Joseph

A very calm and quiet place to take a stroll and connect with the nature. It has some good walking trails where one can meet and greet some squirrels too! A great place with one good café and a adventure activity area also. Although, the restrooms were not in a great condition.
Restrooms
Restrooms were not in a great condition and it lacked hygiene too. And men’s washroom was out of service when we visited last friday.

  • G. Snowdon

Was there to watch the JP Morgan race. Park is well maintained and provides various facilities to guests & locals. From event venue, beautiful gardens, zoo, shaded spaces for picnic and playing, loos… it’s a very versatile and accessible space.

Great, lively area to spend an evening. Went there for a walk around the park. There’s a general store on the way while walking from the underground station where you can buy some picnic snacks and drinks. Just grab some and head towards the park. Plenty of space to just relax and enjoy the view of Thames. Lots of people walking their dogs and doing big group picnics. Highly recommend the place.

The park is peaceful retreat in one of the busiest cities in the world. Flanking the Thames there are lovely views across the river to Chelsea. The park is busy but it doesn’t feel crowded, the exact opposite. The wife and I strolled the perimeter and it took us about an hour. On a sunny day there is plenty of shade as well so the park is great even on really hot days.

  • Moni C.

Amazing park. It is out of the touristic areas which means it is full of locals. Perfect for all types of people: families, pets, to do sports or just for a walk. It has everything: Pear tree café, tennis courts, great play area for children, an exercise area with equipment, river views and the most amazing trees I have ever seen. My favourite London park by far.

  • Amanda sweetpea

I had the best experience with parakeets in Battersea park. They were super inquisitive and friendly, they flew right down close to me in the branches of a tree. The closest I've ever been to them in the wild. They are usually very elusive. Just wish I had some snacks for them. Also the Egyptian Geese were very friendly.... I felt like the bird whisperer

  • László Attila Aszalós

An amazing, huge park, fit for a wide range of activities. You can have a stroll by the Thames, marvel at the London Peace Pagoda, chill out in the English Garden or by the fountains, do all sorts of sport activities, have a lot of fun at the Go Ape or Putt in the park, pedal on the lake, or have a bite or a drink at the Pear Tree Cafe. Perfect for everyone.

  • Albalone - Family Photographer

Battersea Park is a lovely location for Family Photos. I went there with one of my families last Autumn and we had so much fun. This park offers beautiful lake, tree lined paths to the band stand and even a buddhist temple. The colours were stunning. It's also super handy as there is a gorgeous cafe, perfect to warm up around a cup of tea after the session.

  • Laura Litam

Such a lovely park and it's massive. We didn't get to walk around the whole park as we went here specifically for the Go Ape. We willd efinitely go back and I hope the boat ride would be open. From what I see there are lots of things to do in this park. We went here May 8 and luckily there was few trees still with Cherry Blossoms. Nice playgrounds as well.

  • Marc C

I just recently marched for Men's Prostrate Cancer 23/07/2023 at Battersea Park. It is a extensive area. Thoroughly enjoyed walking around the park. Lots of open area to look around sit or relax. • Nelly Petri

Beautiful place. The cafe is amazing. Live music from 6-9pm every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from the end of April. Dog friendly. They even sell dog treats. The chorizo pizza was amazing. The view is gorgeous. Very friendly staff. The outside is very-very busy so get there on time if you want to sit outside (perhaps before the live music starts)

  • Paul Cass

Really impressed with how this area has been transformed. Excellent for shopping ,restaurants and lift 109 Surrounding areas have also been revamped so a nice area to visit for a good few hours. There are some boarded off areas which is still under construction but don't let that phase you. Battersea Park is a great area and highly recommend.

I loved this park. It's very extensive and has lots to do ad see. The Peace Pagoda is amazing and it's as beautiful as the ones I saw in east Asia. The park was gorgeous, but was disappointed to see the amount of rubbish at 4pm on Monday ( from the weekend ) and some parts were very unkempt.

  • Katy Baldwin

We visited for the Coronation “Big Lunch” and the concert on a big screen. Everything was set up really nicely and I would definitely consider Battersea Park for any other outdoor events in the future! There were portaloos, a bar, food vendors and market type stalls with toys for children.

  • Dave Cameron

Park that is about 1000 feet by 2000 feet. It faces the Thames on one side, and good neighborhoods surrounding it. They have an herb garden, a playground, a cafe, a peace pagoda, a Go Ape, a lake for boating, a bandstand, and a children's zoo. Plenty of places to relax and unwind.

A good place is a theater of acceptance, where diversity takes center stage, and the audience of humanity applauds the uniqueness of each individual. It's a destination that embraces differences, recognizing that the beauty of the world lies in its varied perspectives.

One of London’s best inner city parks. The small section overlooking the Chelsea Bridge is great for enjoying a cool breeze off the river on a super hot summer day. The seating area near the Pagoda is where you can get some sun on a cool morning.

  • Pavuluru Yashwanth

Best time to visit is in Summer (April). You will have a walking line with full of cherry blossoms trees on either sides. Batter sea shopping centre is 10 minute walk and one of the historic industrial places as well. Dont forget to visit that.

Great park to walk through with plenty to see and do. The Peace Pagoda, boating lake, fountains, playgrounds and exercise parks to name a few. Very popular with dog walkers, child minders and families, it can get very busy during good weather.

  • Tatyana Koniaeva

This park is good for relaxing time. Very clean, with beautiful birds singing across the whole park. Good trails to walk by yourself or if your baby is sleeping. They also have a zoo but we didn’t visit it this time. Enjoyed the full day here.

London Parks are an absolute delight for locals and tourists alike. This one, south of the river, is as good as it gets. Pretty much has it all. Easy access. Great for families, relaxing, picnics and fun. Beautiful trees, shrubs, and colours.

  • Marc Benier

Really good park. Lots of sports facilities even if there is an unhealthy amount of lycra on weekend mornings. Nice walk by the river, bandstand, food facilities, just watch out for the loony cyclists intent on running pedestrians over!

  • John Taptas Rivaz

Most underrated park in London. Great pub right in the centre for outdoor drinking in the summer and lots of areas for sport, cycling and walking. You can also walk along the Thames on the north side and end up at the Power Station.

  • Rayhaan Hussain

Went for the family night fireworks, parking was atrocious and took ages to get in. Food was sub par and over priced. £13 for 3 chicken strips and chips, ridiculous. Fireworks were great though and the park is always awesome

A must to go to when in the area with great pieces of art, selection of kids parks, beautiful flowers, ponds and being next to her Thames. Wonderful bridge over towards Chelsea is a must to see, especially in the evening.

  • Sahan Casassa

An absolutely amazing place to walk. Lots of scenery and beautiful plants. Each side of the park is unlike the other. There is a peace pagoda, the river Thames, the Battersea Power Station, a tropical garden, and more.

  • Sajjad Rasool

By far the best park in London. I'd say it is perfect for families, but I cannot think of whom it is not perfect for. Cafes, mini golf, playgrounds, zoo, workout spaces, picnic areas... and all by a beautiful nature.

  • Renske Hostyn

Really fun park to have a relaxed day or a fun walk. We specifically went there for the blossoms. They have this really cute lane with a lot of trees that are blossoming right now. It was a really nice experience.

"Such a beautiful park! It's very big and spacious, with tall trees lining the area. It's incredibly peaceful." There is a lovely small English garden that really transported you to somewhere else… so romantic ♥️

Saw the fireworks here recently on our trip to London. Quite frankly, the best fireworks show I have seen in my life. The music, the amount of fireworks and the atmosphere were amazing.

One of the best parks I've ever been in London. It has a really nice walk alongside the river and is also quite spacious. Really nice to go there for picnics and an evening run.

Only visited the playground so will have to go back and explore some more. The playground caters to various ages with plenty to keep the kids busy. Definitely worth the visit.
