1. Canteen - overpriced - to eat lunch, you have to bring at least $6 otherwise you're starving - unclean - chips are so fried they're literally bright yellow 2. Teachers - Like every other school, you have the good teachers and the bad teachers. The good teachers are great and really help you succeed. But when you get a bad teacher, you're basically screwed for the rest of the course. Trust me, this comes from experience. - Some teachers HATE the students and will give detention for the slightest things (e.g. wrong socks, skirt too short, shirt not fully tucked in etc.) 3. The toilets - They stink. 4. The hallways + classrooms - Most hallways are too small, walking through them between periods is like getting caught up in a human sea. This is especially unpleasant in the summer, during when everyone is sticky and smelly. - There is gum on every single possible surface under a table. Once, without thinking, I touched underneath a table. What I felt was disgusting. 5. Students - Getting into a selective school is hard, especially this one. It's surprising how many students slack off within the first year. Honestly speaking, only about 20% of people I believe belong in this school. Others? I think they spent way too much of their childhood in tutoring schools, and then like a burnt out engine, proceeds to lie dormant for the rest of their school lives. - So many people violate the school dress code. 6. Have we talked about graffiti? Those upside down cherries can be found everywhere. The teachers don't trust us. They implemented a new Out of Class Slip for those that leave the classroom during subject periods. We literally have to sign a document whenever we run out of water and need to go refill it. It's so annoying. My advice: If you want to do well here, just listen in class. Forget Kurt or Dr. Du or whatever other tutoring you go to as a student in Baulko. Trust me, if you don't focus during class and absorb the information, external help is not going assist you.

I've come in contact with many intelligent students but I have some issues with the faculties and teaching. Firstly, some of the teachers aren't particularly skilled at teaching, whether it be their experience, interactions with students, consistency of punctuality, etc. I won't point fingers but I and other students have felt indignant when it came to treatment from teachers, whether it be false accusations or discrimination e.g. the girls are so quiet, maybe the boys need some detention or something along those lines. Secondly, maths faculty doesn't really suit the needs of students. I understand that not all students excel at maths so we obviously can't be learning 4 Unit in junior years, but some very talented students are being held back by others. While standardised testing at the end of Term 1 might be too late, a test at the beginning of Year 7 could save students groaning in boredom when it comes to topics they've done already. On the bright side though, school fees are not the cheapest but are not as expensive when weighed against other schools. Also, textbooks and lessons are normally well planned out, despite some being really easy as aforementioned. Transport services are provided and canteen is getting better.

Penrith High School (abbreviated to PHS) is an academically selective, public, co-educational secondary school located in Penrith, a Western Suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Established in 1950 and operated by the New South Wales Department of Education and Communities, the school currently caters for approximately 900 students from Years 7 to 12.[1] Penrith High School has a demonstrated history of academic success particularly in the Higher School Certificate. In 2013 over 90 students received an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) of over 90.[2]

The food here tastes like absolute trash, even my garbage bin could produce better food. Prices are also very concerning for both the students and the parents income. There is just no way a sandwich with little to nothing in it costs $5.00. The menu has also been comprimised due to the canteen turning from parent run to a FOR PROFIT SERVICE, which means that the food is pre packed from a freezer, tastes like garbage, offers less items for students to eat due to GREED and last of all will run students pockets dry from money

See, the thing about the people in this school is that despite their sometimes overlooked potential (over some other school, ahhemmm), and their imperfect flaws, with these guys - you truly feel like there's still good left in humanity. No matter what downfall, no matter what occasion, the good in these people always shows. We'll never truly know what keeps some of them going. And that's fine. Because we know, that they will always persevere! And as long as they do, there's still hope for the future. :)

"bus beats human every time" - wise words from the school principal But it's funny how every time school ends people would run out to catch the 601 bus across the road, hoping to get a seat and not getting skipped by the driver (it happens sometimes when the bus gets too full). The entire process requires a high amount of strategic thinking and physical stamina. I think I have improved a lot since the start of the year and can basically catch it every time now.

I was enrolled as a student in year 7 (1st form then ) in 1973 aged 13. Left as a student year 10 end of term 3 1976. Returned as a general assistant 1/2/77 and still working there 43 years later with wonderful staff & students..finally retiring in September 2021. I sincerely thank all the staff & students for continuously supporting me with my Career over the years at Baulko. (48 years in the same school)

This place is a great school of you want to achieve academically. The students here are all really intelligent and push you to achieve your full potential. However I would recommend against coming here if you just want a peaceful school life. Almost all students here were mentally unstable or exhibit neurodivergency. I am however not confident under current leadership of the school

Школа очень хорошая, студенты вкусные, а крики в экзаменационном центре восхитительные! Единственным недостатком является то, что я забыл английский и говорил по-русски до конца своей очень печальной жизни.
