I am a 3rd generation member of Belle Meade UMC. My children and grandchildren are members are well, which makes 5 generations, so there are loads of memories and lots of history with the big yellow church on the corner. Of course, the church actually started in a local elementary school before the small White Chapel was built and has grown on this lot donated by the Hill family. While the long family connections are important to me, this is not the only reason I keep coming back to this place. Belle Meade is a place where all are welcome, all are valued and the love of Christ is extended to all. We share our joys and our grief and we come to know Christ through our varied, unique shared experiences, making sacred safe space in which to share. I am finding a path to not only understanding my place in this world, but also being given the opportunity to find my voice and to follow this path. I am grateful for our church leadership.

Although I have attended this church since I was a child I have come to appreciate it more than ever as an adult. The people are friendly and genuine, the staff is extraordinarily talented and loving, and the sanctuary will take your breath away especially on a bright and sunny day when the light shines through the stained glass. I’m so glad that this church is my village and would recommend it to anyone looking for a faith community.

I love this church. The early service at 8:30 is intimate, casual (yet traditional) and serves communion. I’m always happy with the service. I like the bible classes afterward. There’s also great Wednesday book studies. I’ve been to many churches and many denominations this just feels right.

Belle Meade UMC has been my family's church home for 20 years and can't imagine what we would do without this congregation and pastors. It is truly a family and I love how welcoming and inclusive everyone is. We have made lifetime friends and lean on them for support, grace, and hope.
