Appointment today 2-40 with a female Dr. Knew that I was about to encounter problems with this Dr. The same Dr who over a year ago would not chase up an urgent referral which my previous Dr had put in place even though I was informed by the Dr's surgery I was leaving that I should receive the same on going level of care and services. Was recently informed that from an old scan which I was told on numourous occasions that this scan was normal was not in fact normal but had abnormalities which needed further investigations. After today's consultation I doubt that any Dr's at this surgery are going to request that I urgently need to be seen as urgent. After around 8 minutes this Dr could not handle my opinion on the NHS backlog I was met with a volley of abuse and aggression towards me and I was agressivelly told to leave the room. This Dr was discriminatory towards me had biased bigoted opinions and had the audacity to hint that I didn't have capacity to form any opinions. She became aggressive when I mentioned the backlog of the NHS and when she acted like a tyrant I informed her that she was being recorded. This recording is going on the internet when I find out the legality and implications for me. This Dr expected a violent response from me for one reason, she never got one all the patients in the waiting area would have been under the impression that I was the abuser I played no part in this Dr's actions

Mostly a good experience. My two doctors are great. Plus the others I've seen on emergency appointments. Their booking policy and system are absolutely abysmal and frustrating to use (I've received texts to get an injection, called, booked in,arrived and been told I can't have it for two weeks, great imuse of all of pur time!) but the doctors are great. Sometimes the reception staff don't listen properly but most of the time they're ok. Nurses are great too. Appointments are usually around 15-20 mins behind but I put that down to the patients not the doctors. It's life. Very handy walk in service available from 8.30-10.30. Love this feature **UPDATE** It's only taken them 15 months but they've noticed I don't live "in the catchment area" I moved to west didsbury over a year ago. I told them because I changed my address. They've now sent me a snotty discharge letter saying I can no longer be seen there because I live too far away. Duh! I'm the one travelling, not them. Also, I discussed this with the doctor and he agreed there was no issue as they don't do house calls anyway so it makes no difference. I also explained I do not wish to keep changing doctors. It's bad for your health as they don't know your history. They haven't even bothered talking to me about this, just sent a letter

When lockdown started, Benchill Medical Practice was oneof the best, if not, the best practice in Wythenshawe (in my opinion) it was one of the only practices who still had face to face appointments for emergencies. Since then, it has become one of the worst for getting appointments. I rang a couple of weeks ago and was 24th in line on the phones. I waited one hour and thirty five minutes, for them to tell me they would send me a link to fill in a form which would be reviewed by a triage doctor and I would be contacted in two working days. That was on the Monday, they gave me an appointment for the Friday. Same happened today. Sent the form saying I had an allergic reaction to a new medication, they sent me an appointment for this Friday. I am still waiting for them to ring me with an appointment sooner because I rang saying I couldn't wait that long. What on earth has happened to this surgery? It has gone from being able to queue in a morning and seeing a doctor there and then, to having to wait four days to see a doctor Sometimes you can't even choose the doctor you want. Would no longer recommend BMP to anyone. System needs changing to get better reviews (in my opinion)

Clearly shows this is the truth when you see most of the reviews writing the same thing. The doctors at this dermatology unit are absolutely disgraceful. Mr Mohammed whom the dermatology is absolutely uninterested in helping people who work hard and pay their taxes. I have had my non cancerous mole removed incorrectly leaving it oddly sticking out and constantly bleeding. He told me to go private. This was caused by your negligence and now refuses to fix it. The ladies that initially removed it were lovely and reassured me if it didn't heal properly or something wasn't removed fully to come back and that they would sort it. I am not sure why I was forwarded to this joke of a doctor who doesn't want to move his finger. Disgusting attitude and disgusting approach to their own negligence. Mr Mohammed doesn't deserve to be a doctor I usually do not leave negative reviews but never met someone this incompetent in my life. Stay away from this lunatic.

I had to wait in a queue of 24 for 51 minutes only to be told I needed more information before a referral for a nurses visit could be processed. Got back to the surgery waited another 30+ minutes in a queue of 8 got to number 2 when the call was picked up and the receiver put down on me ! Called again another 15+ minutes to be told the referal had gone through to the dr . So what was the point of me having to get back to them ? All this really stressed me out . How can this be caring for patients ? This is unacceptable. Why not have a 'Ask the Doctor' service on the surgery site, as they have in other surgeries in Manchester, Bury area, this would take some of the stress off the phone lines which can be used by those who have more urgent calls or can not use other methods.

I have only just joined practice and they think it’s funny to leave me without mental health medication that I have been on for years and I spoke with a doctor about it and she was very rude and said that she was not going to give it me so I will just end my life because that’s how she has made me feel and it was doctor rushdi she should be struck off for winding up a mental health patient but then doctor Norris sorted my mental health medication out for me and prescribed me some medication straight away so I don’t understand why doctor rushdi couldn’t just do that instead of arguing about it with me because mental health medicine is not to be messed with doctor Norris is a top doctor thank you for sorting out my medication for me

  • kazz dgs

this is a disgusting medical practice the receptionist treat the patients like dirt and speak down to them I witness a receptionist making cups of tea while the que was streaming to the door there was a very old lady on 2 sticks in the que the prescription clerk is rude as hell also I would not recommend this place to anyone and will be formally complaining about the disgusting manner of the whole front staff reception area they don't do prescriptions properly then belittle the patient in front of everyone for mistakes they themselves made

Worst doctors ever come across receptions staff never pick the dam phone up you can never get an appointment my daughter had a baby and has low iron and she blacked out and needed her tablets she ran out dint give a script midwife said she can't be without tablets and I'm still trying to get get hold off them to get tablets not bloody good when have new born baby and your fainting . But yet again theses lot never think it's important it's a shame because the doctors are so nice

  • Louise

Surgery was good when I first moved across a few years back, now you're lucky if you get to see someone, filled in a triage form this morning was told an online doctor will video call me so not even one from surgery had to download an app and given a code to put in to confirm appointment, nowhere in app to put in the code which expired within about ten minutes of me getting it, no wonder so many people take their own lives or self harm if this is the help you get or rather not get!

  • dpl852

Always loosing or miss labeling tests up had to repeat numerous amounts of times and now to top it off Dr told my partner she may have cancer with no evidence also made her emergency blood appointment at another sergury on a Saturday and they were closed the country is in a mess and action needs to be taken nearly 3 years they have been testing now with no end result its like they don't care at all they don't deserve the pay they get for the kind of service provided it's a shambles

  • Su P

I feel, the quality of service has improved. They have started integrating technology ex: using online forms or self- checkin. I don’t talk to single person for booking any appointments which is cool. They have created a good network with other practitioners in and around M22 to clear backlogs. I am pretty happy with Benchill services. I see the staff working hard.Obviously, they can improve ex: booking a blood test could be back and forth of messages which can be more efficient

Doctors are nice but the telephone system is horrendous. We can't book for a time that suits us. I was called when I was on the train for a telephone consultation, I hardly want to talk about my problems when I am on the train with a carriage filled with people. On top of that, when you call into the practice, the American voice "your call is in the line.....thank you for your patience" is the world's most annoying thing ever! If the practice sees this, please change it.

  • kerryleigh crookston

Reception are useless with bad attitudes and no effort is put into trying to help the patient. I have recently moved home made an application for a new doctors and was completely removed from there system not long before I was due my repeat prescription. I am not fully registered with my new GP yet and think this is beyond a joke that the receptions answer to this problem is sorry your not with us anymore! How about some advice on what to do to solve the problem!

  • Ct Farrington

Take your kids out of this place! On 2 occasions I have been given wrong and too high doses of anti biotics for my baby! This is disgusting! My child has been poorly for 4 weeks and for the 4 weeks I have been into the surgery I have been told different things. I honestly don't know how this place is still open. The doctors clearly have no idea what they are doing and the receptionists are all rude and stuck up!!! This place needs boycotting!

  • susan bartley

awful attitudes to people bad receptionist dont greet anyone you have to speak first then they look down on everyone for being there my opinion worst doctors services i have ever seen in my life so happy i am not there , have a sick sister who has to deal with this regular dont try calling them they hang up on you too , yes i felt depressed just being in there no one needs that to deal with attitudes and no manners for sick people

  • Lee McCaffrey

Always have problems with the prescriptions clerk she clearly doesn't take well to being told how utterly useless she is at her job!! Pharmacy requests a repeat prescription on a Monday (48hr turn around on repeat prescription) still not done until Thursday Hmmmmm! Every month she does the exact same thing and when complaint lodged with th G.P. I get a snotty letter about my attitude what do they expect!? Hahaha jokers

  • Alison Dempsey

I’ve always had a positive experience with this practice. The doctors are so helpful and supportive. This I feel is top quality care that is hard to find elsewhere. The gp I see really takes the time to listen to your concerns and will always go above and beyond, she’s truly amazing!!! Definitely highly recommended. I’m proud to call myself a patient at Benchill medical practice!

  • Catherine Wallace

Dr Smerneu has provided outstanding care of my 92 year old mother. She has always gone above and beyond and has shown outstanding professionalism and competency. No three week wait for a appointment which i know is the case elsewhere. Yesterday we met a young doctor who was attentive and so thorough and helpful with my mother. Reception staff just lovely. Many thanks.

  • Iago Fernández

Great clinic. Never had to wait too much and never had any problem with them. Today I fainted after a blood test and the service given by the staff was excellent, they were extremely kind and patient even though they had a waiting room full of people. Really appreciated. * Only con with this clinic is that reception often doesn't take calls, nothing major though.

  • Christine Lambert

There is no point in this medical practice having telephones as they never answer, no matter what time of day. Last time they didn't answer I walked to the practice to speak to someone in person. When I did I was helpfully told "You do know you could have telephoned to ask about this?" Guess I'll be walking there again tomorrow after 3 days of attempted calls.

  • shannan smullen

Been a patient here since I was a baby, but I especially have to mention Dr Gaskell’s amazing care and skill. He is always so thorough, kind and compassionate and always listens. This year, he detected my cancer and referred me to specialists. I will be forever grateful to him for this as it led to an early diagnosis and saved me from so much Thank you xx

  • Antoaneta Delcheva

COMPLETELY USELESS MEDICAL PRACTICE. The doctors are very good but it's just impossible to get in touch. Especially after the covid pandemic started. I'm trying to get advice about a heart problem. No way. Not by phone, not online. No chance to speak to the receptionist because the lines are full time busy and eventually "you are on the line #16"

  • Elizabeth Bailey

Telephone system is horrendous . i was caller number 20 so put the phone on loud speak. took over an hour to get to next in line which i was in for over ten minutes then it got cut off! have tried booking online but says no appointments available . Have now redialled and am now " caller number 16 , waiting to speak to a representative ...

  • SID LEE

The doctors are exalent . But some of the reception staff are rude, not helpful ,when asking some of the reception for details they look at you like they just stepped in something. One reception staff even tuted and dident even look up,Blonde. Please monater your reception. Its such a shame that only a few spoil a good team. …

  • midi mcr

Receptionist are RUDE, so slow doing there job, go in there sat in there arses doing there nails no wonder other nurses say it's a bad practise. Embarrassed to be with them so I will be changing do not use this practise, they need a lesson on how to do there jobs the absolute jobs worth.

  • Kate

I’m very pleased with the doctor I had an appointment with the way they treated me and explained me everything but the receptionist at this place is a complete different story. Absolutely do not recommend. Good they did online registration for appointments otherwise absolute nightmare.

  • Stuart F

Terrible they make most patients feel suicidal and love seeing people suffer and they agree to patients commiting suicide . As I was told by abercromby. And they love calling patients names with no proof or help. They have messed my life up and offered no help. Well I'm not finished

  • Nicola Rees

This Dr's are a joke they put the phone down on you and constantly refuse children appointments. The receptionist are rude and unhelpful and hardly ever answer the phones to you. And when they do you get told no appointments or get the phone put down on you..

  • Reuben Mathew

Went in this morning to take my bloods. Even though I was slightly late, I could see the medical professional within 5 minutes of walking in on a busy morning. When I went in, the job was done quickly and professionally. Thank you very much.

  • Lluvia OE

Receptionists are very rude and hang up the phone on you. Was unable to book appointments, apparently you can only book 48 hrs in advance or use the walk-in service (but if you do, be prepared to miss half a day of work)

  • Jhanté Bennett

Awful doctor’s surgery worst mistake moving surgery’s! Completely negligent and unreliable. Staff are lazy. Receptionist are rude and the doctors believe it or not are just as incompetent.

  • B B

The receptionist absolutely clueless and unhelpful and should.not be working in a surgery ..refused to give me her name absolutely shocking ...they are just there for a social meet up

  • Scott Yates

Doctors are good but the reception staff all need sacking ! the booking system is a joke get told to ring at 8.30am only to be told there fully booked and ring back at 8.30am again !!

  • Sonia John

I feel well looked after and cared for by the doctors and nurses of Benchill Medical Practice. They are efficient, kind and helpful. The medical practice is clean and spacious.

  • You Have Mail

I've not had any bad experience here. Yes sometimes the wait is long to been seen however NHS as a whole is under staffed. The receptionist and Doctors have all been pleasent.

  • ابو لؤلؤة Alnaial Abdulla

  • Tracey ONeill

impossible to get an appointment, forced to use the triage system, which is supposedly for emergency appointments only . 8 weeks still waiting for results.

  • Shreeji Academy

Very worst service.dont register here just select another .staff members don't know how to talk to patients abt appointment.again I am saying don't go

  • Nicola Brierley

They deregistered me in 2018 without my knowledge and as a result, I keep getting Error 9907 whenever I try to book my Covid vaccine.

  • Katrina Zhao

Avoid! It's very hard to make a face to face appointment even already booked still need to wait there for hours to see the doctor

  • Sandra Bassett

Can never get an appointment . Been waiting since March for doctor to get in with me touch to discuss blood test results.

  • _staceventura

Been trying to get through for nearly 2 hours...everytime I try calling it's difficult to get through to someone.

  • Reuben Mathew

Difficult to get on the phone, but staff and doctors are friendly while at the centre.

  • Dean Mcloughlin

The doctors are incompetent. And couldn't diagnose a cold if it wasn't for Google.

  • Ashley Smith

Never answer the phone even when you're first inline. Communication is very poor.
