Absolute garbage service! Been there a few times in the last month and my experience was as described! Two examples being when I called asking if the store can build a pc for me. The person on the phone said that they can, if I provide the parts needed, which I did. This stores Geek Squad kept making up excuses not to help like "Best Buy doesn't cover parts not bought by them." Which is the reason why I bought Total Tech, so it CAN be covered! And recently I went in to buy a mic that one of the coworkers said they had, but gave me an excuse that their back room is a mess (like their disorganization skills are MY issue.) And instead suggested to order it online because it would be "faster" since someone would then have to get the item. Not only was that worker too lazy to do their job but it seems like he needs a reminder of what "fast" means, because waiting TWO AND A HALF HOURS is NOT fast! And when I asked for the order to be transferred to another store, another lazy coworker said that I had to do so on the app, which wasn't giving me the option. So, instead of helping out and completing the transfer from the register (which IS possible because other Best Buys had done so!) He then told me that I would have to cancel it, because he didn't want to press a few keys on his keyboard. It's bad enough that this location is short staffed, but it's worse when the few that are there are too lazy to do their jobs properly, and will put more effort into making up excuses to continue being lazy. Go to any other Best Buy for help, because this one is a lost cause and deserves to be closed down!

Avoid Best Buy by all means ! My 1st n last time .. They have wasted my time & peace for a whole day going through their customer service over the phone for more than 1 call to just change my order .. they cancelled then placed a new one , took my CC and found it canceled while I was going to pick it up .. their open box stuff are NOT ON INVENTORY! Means you can see it available online and go to pick it up to find it’s not available at all„they can’t ship it either“ and might be missing essential pieces too .. went to 2 branches Flushing & Bronx .. one had a missing essential power cord for the computer the other has nothing while their useless website showing „don’t trust their website , it’s misleading & never updated to reality“.. not to mention the attitude of the guy behind the screen in the Bronx .. the latency and waiting for long to get helped .. they seem they don’t care .. also they just have 14 days for returns .. Also very interesting fact about how chaotic this business is running now ! Their phone customer service seems helping another planet „looks like outsourced agents from abroad“ , they can’t contact branches here! Same issue when I went in person and asked first employee to contact the other branch in the same city to check availability, as their website is trash .. they CANT JUST CALL each other ! You have to spend your entire day going on Best Buy freakin trips to find out ! How ridiculous !! I ended up purchasing from the original brand ..easy .. cheaper & free shipping & 30 days to return plus professional support !

How do I even begin? I try NOT to give any negative feedback but this one is well deserved. Ok so, I purchased a few items, first issue was me purchasing the wrong Dual Sense controller. I tried to exchange it, basically no exchange when the wrong item was on the receipt, their error not mine. Ok, I saw the store manager at the lobby, I approach him, he thought he was funny by telling me that he's not the manager, that the manager on the wall is his twin brother. I swear to GOD! Comedian over here. Ok, so he wasn't interested in helping me. I gave up on exchanging the item. After that fiasco, I went in there and purchased a microwave. Not problem there, swipe my card, get my money, everyone is good for that. I see the microwave is cheaper a few days later, I bring in the receipt and they won't price match it. The same store that sold me that item. After another denial, I go upstairs and purchased Beats headphones, swipe my card, no problem there. So basically, take my money, the hell with your concerns and NOT once was I rude. I didn't want to do this review, but again, sometimes you just have to state the obvious, this location is horrible! Not to mention when I tried to price match it, I was left at the security desk, just standing there looking stupid. I will be getting involved in sharing these experiences on YouTube and Instagram, stay tuned.

They never have any staff around to help with issues. NEVER. Last time I went in there was an employee sitting in the t.v. section with his phone in his hand and he didn't even seem to want to help me at all. He just pointed to where certain t.v.s were and didn't care I was in the wrong area. He didn't care to show me or answer my questions. And he was talking me like I was dumb for not knowing what t.v. to get rather than try to help me. He didn't seem.in the mood to help.me at all. This wasn't the only time I encountered rude staff. Last time I had to get a manager. But I'm don't being nice and not writing a review about how crazy this place is. They don't have absolutely anyone to help you. There was another girl on her cell phone too. The only members on the floor to help are helping customers on the customer line. Two members were downstairs doing nothing but talking. And always the security is more active than them all. Why is there a guy by the door to greet people? He's more needed upstairs. I don't need someone to say hi and buy to me. Smh...i needed help buying a t.v. but no one could help...bestbuy has to do better for our community. It's like they don't want to pay staff to help us out. And this is how they treat us because we're not in an areas where there's mostly white people I presume, Because it's very unprofessional.

The sales representative on this day I went to purchase headphones was helpful and friendly and I'm satisfied with my purchase. The last visit the individual who I looked to help me with an item was preoccupied with something on her phone. When I asked her two questions she only slightly looked up at the merchandise and gave me an answer as if I was annoying her. I didn't want to ask her anything else and bought the item. Unfortunately, I returned the merchandise 4 days later because I found that it was not the item that I wanted. Many workers need an awakening. They need to understand that your at WORK, Its your JOB and if it's retail that you do. Remember that it's merchandise that the company sell that's pays you a salary. Do not get annoyed when a customer ask for help. The customer just wants to make an informative purchase and If your not on your personal break you should help them. When you act with an attitude toward helping them what your really doing is wasting their time. They don't want to be treated that way. The time your working belongs to the company and YOU should be doing what your getting paid for. Look, the bottom line is this. You should follow the golden rule all the time. Read what Jesus had to say about it at Matthew 7:12.

This place was terrible I had to make an exchange of an item and when I went the everyone seemed like they didn’t want to be there. After I was taken care of they didn’t have my product in stock so they shipped it to me but the person taking care of me put in the wrong address and even after me correcting them they sent it out to a whole other address which lead to my package not being shipped and being returned to them. When I come back to the store asking for compensation or a quicker refund they tell me that it’s a 10-15 business day refund time then they tell me they can’t do anything they don’t even try to look anything up just terrible. Apart from this I had to contact Best Buy customer service a numerous amounts of times about changing the address before it was shipped they also didn’t help me. Lastly when I was calling Best Buy customer service to ask for my refund I was transferred to many lines.eventually I talked to this guy who helped me and shipped out a replacement and also gave a 10% compensation.

I'm usually a big fan of best buy, I get all my tech from best buy and always recommend it. Now when it comes to home delivery that's another problem. I had one order that they almost delivered to the wrong address (The sales rep put the wrong address) there was a lot of back and forth to get that resolved. I figure let's give this another try. I ordered a TV which arrived damaged. I called and they told me I had to wait 24 hours before they can do anything. The rep I talked to was rude. I never yelled or cursed. I was just trying to ask questions about what could be done to get this fix. I felt like now that they had my money they didn't need to be nice. Now let me solve that 24-hour waiting period for best buy. Add in the option to mark your order as received on the app. Easy Anyway, best buy is good if you are not doing home delivery otherwise yeah

I went to this store to buy an open box laptop listed in excellent condition. Upon arriving there I was told that they did have it in stock, but the price was $40 higher than listed on the website, I would have to go order it online if I wanted that price. I asked if they could check to see if they infact have it because I don't want to wait around if they don't. Well and they did in fact have the laptop. The problem was open box excellent, which they describe as being like like new, no major blemishes or defects, and including all original packaging manuals and accessories, was actually a scratched up laptop in a random blue box missing everything. Long story short, hour wasted this location sucks. I live 5 minutes away, but will drive to either mt.vernon or Yonkers because they quality of customer service is so far superior...

The worst best buy I've ever been to. I was told to wait on line in order for someone to even help me. I was 3rd in line and I stood there for 25min. They only had 1/2 items that I was looking for. The rep told me the item I wanted was close to stairs and it was a hot spot for theft. Although the website stated it was in stock. I spoke to a manager about some kind of discount because they had a more expensive version of what I wanted. He said only if I'm able to price match with Amazon. I couldn't find one and had to go to a different store. I wasted an hour in this store. I should be able to walk in purchase what I need and leave. Especially if I check the website before I leave my home. Horrible service. I will never shop there again.

The most horrible costumer service ever.I was there to go and pick up a Chromebook and I already called them,they told me that they have it available to just go and pay on the spot.Tell me why I spent 20 minutes driving+1 hr waiting for him to check out a phone to just tell me that they “don’t have at the moment”I went to computer section,the guy that was responsible for checking people out used to take at least 45-minutes to finish something that should not take less than 5 minutes .I don’t really write down a bad review but that person needs to be re-trained,or not take tasks that he can’t finish completely.I couldn’t catch his name but first thing I am gonna do is call the store and talk to the manager. Never shopping there again!

I recently had a fantastic experience at Best Buy thanks to the exceptional customer service from Maria, the customer service manager from Geek Squad. I purchased a laptop with some customer service issues and she quickly resolved them, making me a very satisfied customer. Sadly, two weeks later, I broke my laptop and took it back to Best Buy for repairs that normally costs around $400. I was pleasantly surprised when they repaired it at no cost and had it back to me within two weeks. Maria truly went above and beyond as a customer service manager, making my experience at Best Buy a memorable one. Thank you, Maria!

HORRIBLE!!!!! I went to buy Beats and the sales associates are just chatting it up and I had to AWKWARDLY interrupt the conversation to ask for help. Of course the one that looks up doesn't have the key. He proceeds to go find it and I'm waiting, minutes go by and he doesn't come back, I look for him and he's like wait over there "over there" is nowhere near the beats display. He's telling me this as he decides to help someone else, Instead of saying to the gentleman, give me a moment I will be right with you. Needless to say I did NOT buy anything and I will NOT be back

Came into the store to buy SIM cards for me and my daughter's new phones. Was also looking to replace two previously canceled phones. Had less variety than the Fi app, and at a greater cost, esp with the current deal being offered. Decided to buy phones from Fi. Got the two SIM cards after waiting about 20 minutes to be serviced by the one agent working. I prefer buying online, and will continue to do so, however I am glad that I had the option to immediately purchase the SIM cards.

This is the store with the best customer service. I just left Best Buy. Thank you to the gentleman and the lady who helped me at the pick up line for o line orders. I was having an issue with my sim card on my phone and could not order my uber after picking up merchandise. I needed to remove and reinsert cim card but I did not have the tool to do it. The associates helped me and went out of their way to make sure I could order my uber and get safely home. Once again thank you.

A good location. I often get my stuff in store or I order them for pickup online. I’ve traded stuff in at the Best Buy all the time. Workers are usual nice and they even let me price match items like iPads and laptops from their competitors. One of the few Best Buy that has things in stock like the switch when it first came out and iPads that are often out of stock online. They seem to be a decent dependable store. Most of my tech is from Best Buy and I have no problems.

Best Buy recycles electronics. Tip: bring in one at a time for max credits. I believe Best Buy gives a $5 credit for each recycled item, but you claim this later, not immediately. This store on Broadway in Uptown was small, but had a fairly wide selection of everything for the home office. I also was able to buy a compact umbrella made from recycled materials for $14. I hope Best Buy will keep as many stores open as possible.

Another horrible experience with GeekSquad. Had and showed up on time for a 340pm appointment. The manager needed to clock out and told me the person for the next shift was running late. I wait until 430pm before I can see anyone. Then the rep comes by and says he can't help me because I have a microsoft surface and he doesn't have the credential. Even though their website says otherwise. Drove from NJ to waste my time here.

Best Buy Fordham has to be the worse Best Buy I have ever shopped at. Only one person working the customer service line. Walked away multiple times to talk to other employees and help others instead of the link they had. This is on June 1, 2023 at 1:09 pm. Never asked for help from any of the other employees to help with the growing line. As a recent Best Buy employee this is embarrassing and unacceptable.

Worst experience ever. I ordered online. On the website it said it’s gonna be ready in 1 hour. After 2 hour I went to the store. And they said they don’t have that product anymore because they already sold it to another customer. I said I bought it online it should be reserved for me. One of the main reasons a business can lose a lot of customer is because of poor customer service and lack of them. I was there at that location, and nobody paid attention to me, and I saw other customers looking for customer service, and they were walking with straight faces or pocket faces. No one looked interested in asking if i needed help at all! When i did find someone they all started speaking Spanish and said only blue shirts can help. The guard upstairs followed me like i was going to put a tv in my backpack, so guessing they have serious problems with theft. Was made ver uncomfortable. And won't ve going there again. Workers are overwhelmed and the customer service on the floor suffers as far finding someone to help. On 3 out of 4 occasions I had to wait in line to get someone to help which 3x ran longer than 15 minutes bc they were helping a customer set up something so yeah the customer service on the floor is not the best they just doing the best they can

Employees just stand around doing nothing cus they can't help without the key holder. Only ever 2 people with the key and they stick them on register? What kind of logic is that?

It's convenient to my location. It has excellent deals if you happen to have a Best Buy credit card. Even if you don't, you'll find good bargains there. It's located in the Fordham section of the Bronx, so there are plenty of places to dine and shop in the area.

Honestly one of the worst Best buys I've been in. Good luck finding anyone to help you unless you're buying a television or computer. Displays are all beat up and the store usually looks empty. It's really not a pleasant or comfortable store to shop at.
