I had a real bad experience with a singles group called SAWK. I only attended an activity in February 2016. I was also suppose to attend an activity in June. I truly dont care to attend anymore!! In February 2016 I cried all the way home a two hour drive. Because a member in the car was gossiping about someone I know, and it upset me! In June I was suppose to go to an activity. There was a meeting a week before. There was so much gossip about me this time! The leader just sat there, and did nothing!! A ride was arranged for me, and because of the gossip all night long he did not want to take me!! I paid my way, and was not even offered a refund!! A member gave me my refund out of his own pocket! It should have been the leader Colette who made sure I got my refund! Also before you go to an activity you have to be a member which I dont agree with! You should be allowed to attend an activity without being a member!! Since when is church, or church activities suppose to be a gossip session!! This should not be allowed, and is a bad example!! Please! Please! Think twice before attending this gossip group!! I dont want to see anyone hurt the way I was!! Iam in the midst of reporting what happened!!

Best church I’ve been to so far in Ottawa! Joyful, empowering. Focused on you experiencing God ‘Poppa’ your way through his manifestation in you. Loved it! There is a band of joyful singers, and also a cafe with pastries (croissants, Cinnamon buns etc) and coffee. I literally came here after trying out the Mets Christian church that same morning and I had left there feeling disappointed, disempowered from their sermon focused on women submitting to men and obeying their husbands. How archaic! Then I drove a few km down to Bethel Pentecostal and felt reenergized with their empowering message about positivity and the the unique expression of God through you. Loved how they encourage people to speak out (vocalize in tongues etc) during the meditation. Give it a try if you are looking to find a welcoming fun, joyful church that focuses on happiness and manifesting versus shame and sinning. I promise you won’t regret it!

So we purchased 2 VIP tickets to see Leeland band last night which started off really great with the opportunity to meet the group. Awesome band. The concert started off with a bang until a young man got up on stage trying to get people to sponsor children from other countries. Really great cause but 45 min. In trying to make those not participating feel guilty as we were there for a concert. Not a child sponsorship. As VIP ticket holders we were sat up front to enjoy the show until the same asked everyone in the audience to come up front standing room only to find myself like a sardine behind a 7 foot man where I couldn't see anything smelling everyone around me. It didn't enjoy my evening and would strongly suggest people by the chep tickets sit in the back. You'll have a better time. Thank you Bethel Church for this. Experience.

This was my first and last time attending and I will not be going back. I went with my husband and I’m not sure if sexism had a part in it but I was ignored by ushers who only spoke to my husband, a female usher warmly greeted him and shook his hand and when I extended my hand for a handshake I was met with a cold look and handed a pamphlet then she walked away. A male usher came and spoke addressing only my husband and taking his details. At the end of this I must have appeared perturbed because he acknowledged he was being rude and said welcome to me. None the less as this was my first time attempting to attend church in years I did not feel the sense of warm welcoming I expected joining a church instead I was left feeling out of place and disappointed that this was my experience.

This is one of the best churches in the Ottawa Ontario area. Great fellowship and a wonderful church service. The staff are very friendly and the members of the church were welcoming as well. I usually attend on my own but it has a great family atmosphere as well. If you are in the Ottawa area and looking for a church check out Bethel. This is a child friendly place and children really enjoy being here. Many people choose to celebrate their special events here. The parking here is free and it is excellent. When it's really busy the place gets really full but there is always enough parking. Since the pandemic there have been some minor changes but overall the church services are back to normal. I really enjoy this church I hope you enjoy it too.

When someone has to change the name, and go under a new name it means they are hiding something! SAWK singles group was filled with gossip so what did they do. They went, and started the same a singles group, but under a new name called OASIS! When someone has to go under a new name it means they are trying to cover up something! The gossip was exposed on social media, and by word of mouth. So now what they did is changed the name! This is just to cover up their guilt, and because they were exposed! My advice is to stay away from this singles group unless you want to be associated, and part of gossip!

LOVE this church! So exciting what God is doing at Bethel! The people at Bethel are so welcoming & accepting, the music is contemporary & Christ centered, the messages are encouraging & challenging, & it's so easy to fit right in to this church family! The Pastors at this church demonstrate that they know what is really important: God and People! If you've never been to Bethel, you should definitely pay it a visit, & if you have been to Bethel before, you should pay it a visit all the same: its undeniable that the Holy Spirit is moving here! This church is ALIVE!!!

Having recently emigrated to Ottawa from the Netherlands I've now come to embrace Bethel as my home church. This is a vibrant church where young and old are equally as passionate to pursue the Lord. You can really taste that Bethel's pastors and staff all have the same desire: to see its members become radical Christ-followers, and to see the city impacted by God's love. Highly recommend, please come visit if you're in Ottawa!

Accessible, ample parking and accessibility parking as well. An abundance of activities and services. Sunday service starts at 10:30 goes till noon. Amazing worship and sermon. Very beautiful church! I visited twice and was impressed with the warm welcome and the cleanliness of the building (the nursery, JK/SK room, washrooms, etc.). Lastly, the doctrines and teachings coming from the pulipit are sound and based on the Word of God! I will visit this church over and over again!

I am probably biased, but since returning to Ottawa with my wife a year ago, we 'came home'.... Although there are so many new faces, we have been made to feel welcome each time that we attend. Definitely there is something exciting going on here in the realm of the Holy Spirit!

I like the spirit of things and they do a lot of faithful service and outreach. After looking up the Pentecostal idea of focusing on the spirit the fruit of that is a service with a lot of banal platitudes. If you're looking for some theology that's not really the idea here.

This place really loves Jesus, and spreads his message. Also Bethel does a lot to help feed/take care of the people of Ottawa. Which is how you know it’s a church with good intentions. My only complaint is that the music is too beautiful, makes me wanna cry every time.

I love this church. I've been attending for 15 years and THESE DAYS are the best ever! There is a community and family attitude and it's wrapped in love. Great church that serves anyone and provides anyone with the opportunity to serve!

Had the opportunity to attend the 2023 Change Conference here with my kids and youth church group. The event was fun, insightful and inspiring. The church premises and atmosphere are amazing.
