Adorable little bookstore and the owner and other employee were both lovely and helpful with good recommendations. I’d been looking for an English bookstore for awhile and was so lucky to find this place. The store is small but the selection is still good, and they have a nice selection of stationary as well. The owner is nice to chat with and it’s nice to be surrounded by people speaking English after traveling for awhile. I mentioned I was going to Belize soon and she gave me a Belizean $2 bill that someone else had left behind which was a sweet gesture. Very happy with the books I purchased and would for sure go back if I’m in Merida again.

This store is not just a store, its a statement. Aside from a cozy and tastefully designed interior with plenty of books and items to browse through, it is imbued by its owners inspirational personality and her courage to follow her dreams. In a time of big box-stores and digital media, this store sets an impulse in reminding us of what communities are (or used to be) made of. It is the perfect fit for this city and well worth visiting to maybe acquire something to read that will remind you how turning from page to page feels like. ......mind you I had to purchase the glasses first to be able to read that page, yes you can do that here too.

Fantastic little shop, owned and run by a lovely, helpful woman - could have hung around all day & chatted. Be sure to stop by, sells all manner of stationary & cards in addition to books. More expensive than new books in England, but she explains the multiple import & delivery fees she’s saddled with as a small business owner. Fully recommend stopping in!

Lovely staff and a nice selection of some real classics and newer rising authors. All books are in English, which is perfect for travellers from abroad. Accept both cash and credit cards. Don't forget to bring your old books to donate (they happily take in books to find new owners) if you don't want to carry them during your travels.

A beautiful bookstore with high-quality selection of items. Juanita was very friendly to me and my friends. She gave us recommendations and general pointers to life in Mexico/Merida. I bought a bunch of beautiful postcards here as well as a new novel from a famous Mexican author. Will be back here again :)

More than a book store for sure! Hand made crafted items. Owner operated, and of course that’s important to me. Found a new author I’m going to look into. Bought a small hand painted sketchbook for my trip. And the most adorable cat tarot deck. Tourist friendly, fluent English, knowledgeable.
