We came into the Philips Hwy shop late on Sunday, on a whim to try to purchase new inner tubes for my bike (it had been hanging in the garage for 8+ years and only ever ridden twice!) and got to the shop 20 minutes before they were set to close. We felt horrible walking in so late and only expected to purchase the tubes and leave, then try to change them at home on our own. We were greeted by Mark, who carefully walked my bike to the back repair shop. We quickly discussed options for tubes and I was happy to know he had what we needed in stock. Then, completely unexpected, Mark went to work on my bike and replaced/filled the tires! Then while we were talking with Andre about an additional new bike purchase, Mark also went the extra mile by putting oil on my chain and my back breaks (to combat a stickiness issue), as it was totally bone dry due to the lack of use. After everything was set, a very helpful Hank rang me up and we were all good to go. I was in awe at the lengths Mark went to (especially with such short notice and the proximity to closing time)to help get my bike in working order before my upcoming trip. It was great chatting with Andre and Mark about the various brands and specialty components of some of the models we were looking at while waiting. We are also going back today to purchase a new bike as well! We are both excited to be getting back to riding and are very grateful to find a home base/store for all of our future bike purchases, parts, and repairs. 10/10 would recommend to anyone needing their bike repaired, needing a new bike or accessories..especially go see the "Sunday Crew", they were all awesome!

After visiting a few bicycle shops and a sporting goods store looking at bikes for my son I decided to shop here because they have a good selection of all styles of bikes. I Brought my son in to look around and got great help from Chris in fitting a mountain bike to my son that he absolutely loves. Super knowledgeable and helpful in explaining the differences in similar bikes such as the ride difference between different wheel sizes. They also provided a one month follow up check as part of the purchase to make sure everything still looked good, no loose cables due to stretching, etc. Fast forward about a month and we are looking to do some trail riding and went back to look at helmets that would be suitable for where we plan to ride. Just getting into trail riding Chris was again super helpful in picking out a helmet for my son. Chris explained all the features of the different helmets that aided our decision making. I wasn’t sure if I was going to buy a helmet here or go and check out the department store helmets but after explaining the why and how of the different helmets and spending a while trying different ones on, I did end up getting a helmet as well. While discussing the helmets we were also discussing trails around N FL that would be suitable for entry level trail riding and got tons if useful info and stories about some of them. Definitely not something you’ll get at a sporting goods store. During our visits we also received similar help from the other employees and even had good conversations with other customers. They have all sorts of accessories, clothes, tools, etc. Definitely recommend checking them out.

I highly recommend Bicycles Etc. to anyone shopping for a bike. The staff are very knowledgeable and passionate about their job which makes them eager to assist their customers in finding the right bicycle to meet their needs. I had been to other shops and came out empty handed after being ignored despite my hovering and waiting for someone to assist me. When I walked into Bicycles Etc. Chris immediately made himself available to me and spent much time educating me & making sure to show me all my options. I really felt like he cared that I walked out of that store with the perfect bike to meet my needs. He made it so easy to choose and I was able to make the investment. When I went in the next day to pick it up, I had the same positive experience. Chris and other members of the staff were equally as eager to make sure I was taken care of. Chris spent more time with me that day making sure I knew everything regarding the accessories, lights, etc. Needless to say, I will be recommending this shop to anyone I know looking for a bicycle and I will be doing all my bike shopping needs at Bicycles Etc. I've never purchased a bike from a local shop before so I was a bit nervous, but as soon as I got there Alex was warm and welcoming. He brought me over to the large selection and made sure to recommend a bike to meet my needs along with right size! He was really knowledgeable, and was patient with me, showed me how to use features of the bike and I was able to test the bike at the shop as well which was great, there was absolutely no pressure. He answered all my questions, was friendly, and very attentive during the whole process. I felt really assured and am really excited about my new purchase! Fantastic store, excellent (maintenance) customer service! Hunter was fantastic setting my bike up for an upcoming race - very professional with a high degree of attention to detail! I had to go back and Joey spent time fixing a minor issue - both Hunter and Joey were fantastic and made the whole experience pleasant. In a time when the bike industry is seeing supply chain issues and increased workload (maintenance wise) MY NUMBER ONE consideration is customer service - how am I being treated, communicated with? In my experience with Bicycles Etc. this past week - I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely go back (this shop is not the closest bike shop for me - but I'll make the trip to get quality service!)

The bicycles etc staff have a unique blend of comedic flare , cycling expertise and professional decorum bundled together. I recently had my isospeed services on my Madone because my seat was swaying back and forth like many with Isosoeed have dreaded in the past. My isospeed was expertly disassembled, root cause identified, corrective action made, tested am I’m back to feeling comfortable in the saddle. I watched the staff skillfully interact with challenging patrons, experienced cyclists of different disciplines and children with complete care and tasteful zeal. I’m proud to call it my local bike shop.

The staff is professional, knowledgeable and friendly. No matter how many questions I have for them, they take the time to answer them and make their own recommendations along the way and I don't get the feeling that they're just trying to make a sell. I can appreciate that. I've had very minor repairs done, but they have been done quickly and professionally and I have always been satisfied. And I love that they have a pick-up service, I ride a tricycle and not easy to lug around. I will continue to return to them as thus far I've been nothing but satisfied. And yes, I do highly recommend them.

Love the bikes we bought! Mason was helpful and not pushy. I feel he guided us along the process well and listened to our needs. He tempered our expectations with the reality of what is available and what they could provide, which is quite a lot. Super happy with the bikes and the prices were, I guess you could say, reasonable. The service and support seem to be where they really shine, though. After you buy a good quality bike, you want to know the shop will stand behind it, and Bicycles Etc. does.

Excellent establishment with the best customer service. Chris spent so much time talking with me and explaining everything to me. I am a newbie and knew nothing, and Chris was very patient and answered all my questions. The customer service was wonderful from every employee (especially Mat) from the moment we stepped through the door the first time, and when we came back a few minutes later after deciding to purchase. First time for me and my fiance, and I have to say that Owen was very helpful, knowledgeable, approachable. He answered all of our questions. I was looking for the project one Trek Madone radioactive yellow, I didn't want any other color and after going around town, thanks to him we were able to purchase this beauty here at Bicycles Etc. Great bike shop. We purchased our bikes several years ago from the Philips hwy. store. Recently I needed a repair and tune up and took the bike into the shop on a Saturday. Bicycles Etc. has been our go to shop for over 30 years. Started with the old Beach Blvd store. Stellar service. Stellar bike intelligence. Always friends. Always educating the consumer to get the most from their bike. Never trying to sell you a bike you don't need/want. An important part of the Jacksonville community.

Chris was very helpful when picking out some new MTB gloves. I just rode with them and I love my new Fox Defend gloves. I expected the price to be higher than online but it was the same as Amazon. Better yet I was able to try them on, didn’t have to wait for delivery, and was able to support a local small business.

Matt was very courteous and professional. He took the time to explain the features on the two hitch bike racks on which I was trying to decide. After I made the purchase, he quickly installed the rack and patiently explained to me how to operate it. Matt made the shopping and installation process very pleasant!

I don't generally write reviews, but this place's service shop is fantastic. They spotted a counterfeit Shimano chain that I was going to use to replace my 11 speed chain with. I'm really thankful. This just shows that they are paying attention to detail when it comes to their work.

I ended up buying a new Marlin 7 here and it was a much better experience than the other Trek store who rubbed me the wrong way. Bike was set up correctly and VERY quickly, and they didn't try to upsell me kickstands and Power Bars like bike stores love to do.
