Blaze Pizza at Coronado has always been one of my favorite food spots in the city. Though there is another location up north on Paseo; this one for whatever reason always seems to have a bit more of a pulse. Things looked to be running smoothly during my most recent visit last week. As always, I choose the build-your-own 2 top pizza option (about $8 after-tax), which is always fun as you get to pick out all of your favorite toppings. One of the things I appreciate about Blaze is their willingness to openly display the calorie count for each topping item. It allows customers (like me) to make more conscious choices while constructing their pie so that don't walk away with a near stopping pizza. When finished choosing my toppings, I proceeded to the cash register and grabbed myself a side drink. The house-made refreshments are usually pretty good and something I recommend trying instead of a quintessential fountain drink. After a short wait (which is typical), my pizza was ready and sizzling hot to the touch. This Blaze is usually good about not leaving their pizzas in the fire for too long, as blackened spots and burned edges are a rare sight at this restaurant. In closing, Blaze on Menaul is a hip pizza joint that can appeal to every demographic. Its greatest quality: granting its patrons a degree of creative freedom that is rare to experience anywhere else. Plus, employees are always restocking ingredients so that your favorite toppings are never unavailable when looking to build your own pie. Definitely a place I hope to see still operating at the same standard for many years to come.

THE BAR HAS BEEN RAISED!! The whole experience was top notch, was our first time eating here. My wife suggested for us to try out a new pizza place to eat so we went to this Blaze Pizza which located on the outside of Coronado Mall. I told the employee that it was our first time being at the place. She was awesome at explaining to us how to order. You can do it in two ways 1- you can choose from 8 signature pizza's that are totally customizable. 2- you can build your own pizza from scratch. I opted in for option 2. -You can choose from 5 different kinds of dough original dough * high-rise dough * cauliflower crust * Keto crust . -Then you can choose from 4 different sauces which you can have more than one on the same pizza they can split the sauces in half. The sauces are classic red sauce * spicy red sauce * white cream sauce * garlic pesto sauce. -Get to choose what kind of cheese you like on your pizza and again you can mix and match the cheeses. The cheeses are feta * goat * gorgonzola * ovalini mozzarella * parmesan * ricotta * shredded mozzarella * vegan cheese -Get to choose your meats, meats are applewood bacon * grilled chicken * italian meatballs * italian sausage * pepperoni * salame * smoked ham * spicy chorizo (vegan) Once you are done getting what you choosing all your topping they literally goes on the fire oven in front of you, 180 seconds later they call your name when eats ready. It is such an incredible concept, I loved the whole experience my NO#1 stop for pizza from now on..

We ordered a bbq pizza on the night of 8/14, and did not want blue cheese on it. We got home and realized there was blue cheese on it, called them but no answer. We went in person on 8/15, showed them that we did not eat the pizza and we asked if we could get a gift card or something to put toward a future order. The guy at the register seemed as if he hated his job pretty much. He didn’t say anything, but turned around to a woman working the oven and was whispering to her. She seemed to not be happy with our request and rolled her eyes. The guy then turned around and said “I will just make a new one” as we waited, the atmosphere in there seemed tense. Everyone working there did not seem happy. The woman working the oven put her headphones in and seemed like she was avoiding conversations with fellow employees. When they finished the pizza, they cut it so ugly. (This doesn’t seem to matter, BUT it seemed intentional since it was the guy at the register that cut ours instead of the guy that had been cutting pizza the whole time.) then guy handed it to us, and I said “thank you” he didn’t say anything. He turned around and I assume he didn’t want to make it obvious that he rolled his eyes, but we saw. The staff was so unfriendly. The pizza is good, but probably will not be back due to the staff that was there when we were there at 4:30 on 8/15.

Delicious thin crust pizzas with a variety of quality toppings and an allergen friendly menu. The staff were very nice and accommodating. My husband got a spicy pizza called the Hot Link and loved it. I got the White Top pizza which was somewhat flavorful but it was dry due to not enough sauce or seasoning. So next time I’ll just ask for extra sauce. My mom got a vegan pizza the way she wanted it and said it was the best pizza she’d eaten. Often, places will say their ingredients are vegan but she’ll have an allergic reaction soon after. But this was not the case with Blaze. Not only did she enjoy the taste, she still felt good the next day. Thank you Blaze for being a place our whole family can eat.

Another visit and another masterful pizza! I love getting exactly what I want on my pizza! It always looks like a salad when I am done! I like the gluten free option for the crust. It is a nice touch that the staff welcomes you on arrival & thanks you when you leave. This place is Awesome! It is my first time here. I get to pick exactly what I want on my pie! Talk about meeting my special needs diet...perfect! The staff was so friendly, helpful, and patient while I chose my toppings. Wade cooked my pizza to perfection and finished it beautifully with Arugula and pesto sauce. I love a thin crust pizza, and another benefit is that the dough is made fresh every day! Only down side is that I didn't like the Caesar dressing on my husband's salad, but I'm not a dressing fan anyway. Besides, I had spinach, basil, and arugula on my pizza, so who needs a salad? We will be back, as my day is always better when my husband eats pizza! Good job staff, keep it up!

The pizza was mediocre. We ordered a mega mushroom and a green stripe. It seemed like the mushrooms weren’t baked with the rest of the pizza and just dumped on afterward. The arugula on the green strip was lacking and what was there was rotten. Visibly decaying. The restaurant itself is dirty and lack luster. The floor was extremely dirty with used napkins wedged under the table. The seats were dirty with crumbs and it was oblivious that the tables hadn’t been wiped in a while. Short staffed too. I observed the pizza oven attendant also working the front counter/ cash register. She was taking dirty money then tending to the pizzas without washing her hands. Needless to say, I won’t be eating here again.

Went in to order a couple pizzas. There was a large family who ordered a bunch. Frazzled the employees who responded by just sitting there like deers in headlights. Ordered two build your owns. One on gluten free crust and some cheese bread with vegan cheese. They took my order before the couple that was standing ahead of me annoying them. And they took forever to get the orders out. I waited almost an hour and I just wanted to get out of there. And I should have checked when I left, my fault on that, none of the pizza were what I ordered. And the cheese bread had normal cheese on there. Used to be a favorite. Never going back. Waste of money for food no one in my family can eat due to dietary issues

Well I don't know what the food tastes... Because I walked in... The floors were filthy, like a school bus of elementary kids just ate in there! But there was only 5 people in the whole place. I saw workers behind the counter but nobody greeted me... Nobody Offered to help me with anything... So I went next door to a taco place (which was very clean and very yummy!) I was in the restaurant business for over 30 years and if I ran my stores like this I would be ashamed of myself. I hope the pizza is really good cause that would be the only reason I would even order Togo from there. In my eyes... If the front of the house looks this bad I imagine how the back of the house is looking while your making our food.

Great pizza, good price, disappointing service, and poorly maintained facility. I’m not really sure what happened to this place. We used to come here years ago and it was great. Now the staff is weirdly surly. They seem to really hate their jobs and the people they serve. None of them would verbally respond to anything said to them by a customer. Their unfriendliness and the state of the facility (out of order women’s restroom, juice bar, and soda fountain), makes me think the place is being mismanaged. Hopefully whatever it is changes. We really like the pizza and price. BTW, if you want a really flavorful pizza, try getting the spicy red sauce mixed with the basil pesto.

First time here and a very enjoyable experience. The service was lacking in just interaction. Staff just seemed uninterested and distracted. This being my first time here I was asking questions and was just referred to the menu. Aside frome that, the food was good and overall the experience was a pleasant one. The food was tasty and fresh and the location was clean. Will be back. Was worth the trip.

First time at any Blaze location, and was pleasantly surprised! :) Ingredients were top notch, food was super fresh and hot, flavorful and made perfect! We both opted for the “TAKE TWO” which was half an 11” pizza and cheesy bread for $9.45, to try out multiple things at once. We were happy as this was a great portion size! Super unexpected for a “fast food” type pizza place, but we honestly loved it! Will be back 100%.

I ate here on a Friday night with my boyfriend and it was pleasantly not too crowded. Indoor and outdoor seating make the space feel bigger and the atmosphere was nice. The best way I can describe it is a subway for pizza, they offer unlimited toppings INCLUDING meat and cheese, and cook it fresh on the spot. Everything was very fresh and tasty. My only complaint however is that when I requested truly unlimited toppings (I like a hearty pizza) the woman making my pizza seemed annoyed and began to get frustrated with my (albeit extensive) topping selections.

The place is dirty!! This one employee dangles around her lose hair over your food without wearing a net, or restraining her hair. She is so rude, I think her name is Rae, but I am not sure, as they do not wear nametags. Any way, this lady does not bother asking what you want, she just moves ahead and builds YOUR pizza however she wants, and if you ask for something, she acts as if you are offending her. She should be food service certified, and such as, wear something to restrain her hair from flying into your food. By the way, pizza was burned!!

First time going today, honestly is now on my top horrible experiences for restaurants. I did an order pickup that gave me a time frame, showed up 10 minutes after. I still ended up waiting for 30 minutes without any initial interaction from the staff. Most of them had air pods in and were not friendly! They messed up the pizza by missing a few Ingredients and they burnt the pizza that was for the customer in front of me and didn’t acknowledge that. Really poor service and the food was mid.

This place is amazing. I've been going here to get pizza since they've opened (Colorado) and now here in Albuquerque, NM. Locations are quite consistent which is really nice. They're always open to do what you want. I get a B.Y.O. (build your own) with white cream sauce, goat & mozzarella cheeses, grilled chicken, artichoke hearts and roasted garlic. After it comes out of the oven I ask for fresh caesar salad to be added to the top. They accommodate and enjoy conversing, sharing stories, etc. Always delicious food. Highly recommend!!

It's like the subway of pizza, with fair prices and unlimited possibilities. The staff are young but enthusiastic, the ingredients are passable but not amazing quality. For the price that was expected and everything tasted great, I would recommend to anybody having lunch at the mall, as its leaps and bounds ahead of anything at the food court, at a more fair price. I prefer their pizza to pizza hut by a large margin, and it's better than Sauce, a similar concept eatery that opened in win rock vicinity. Give them a chance.

Came with some of the family. We had meat eater pizzas, well they did. I had to be different just to try out their build your own. It got a little hectic as it was right at dinner time and the poor staff seemed a bit overwhelmed with the number of people that came in. They pulled it off though and the pizzas were great. It was even fairly quick to get our orders once it was all sorted out. They all did a great job and never lost their cool. I was impressed with their teamwork and cooperation to get it all done.

This visit was not like other visits. The whole restaurant was dirty. Used napkins and other trash all over the floor. Limited of toppings available. Ladies' bathrooms needed a lot of attention. No ice for beverages, no lemonade or blood orange lemonade. Had to ask for a table to be cleaned down to sit and eat.

I was so disappointed! This pizza was worse than Little Cesar's. I've actually had frozen pizza better than this. It had zero taste. There was a few sliced grape tomatoes and a few pieces of cheese and the sauce was dried into the crust. I saw one they had just got out of the oven and it looked really good. What the heck happened? Their prices are good but the pizza was terrible!

I just started Keto so the options for pizza here was very promising. the pizza was pretty average, the sauce was very bland. The employees are not it. They make the best Vegan Pizza (original crust is vegan) with so many toppings, including vegan cheese and vegan chorizo.

This is a really bad place to eat. Pizza was cold and the beer was warm and foamy (sent it back). Did not order it to go, came in a box. The music was so loud you could not hear the person yelling out the persons name for their pizza. Why would you be blasting music, and really bad music at that. Eat anywhere else.

Had a bad experience. The last time I was here, they asked me how I wanted my pizza made. This time, they went straight off of the description for the green stripe. They remade it and when I get it, the edges are burnt on both pizzas. I felt like this was in retaliation for making them make the pizza over, so I didn't bother with talking to a manager.

Used to love Blaze and their gluten free pizza. However, they got rid of their regular gluten free crust and added a keto crust and a cauliflower crust. The keto crust is a $4 upcharge and the cauliflower crust is a $3 upcharge. The cauliflower crust is meh. Apparently they got rid of the regular gluten free crust to make room for their large pizza that you can only order online. I'm really disappointed with this change.

Super friendly staff when you enter and while you build your pizza. The pizza options are fantastic, you can pretty much build anything you want and it’s so cheap! You missy also have the knots, they are sooooooo good! The seating kinda sucks, it feels like there should be more. And the parking sucks, because it’s in a busy area at the end of the mall. But the pizza is delicious, definitely go here!

Good pizza n salad. Workers need to b happy to wrk not with a frown face. They make customers feel depressed too. Floor needs a very good cleaning. There is pizza on the floor napkins looks like it's been there for days. It is unsanitary.

I really like Blaze Pizza. They have slightly raised their prices since opening, but for $8.75 you can get a "personal" pizza designed anyway you like it and it's ready in minutes. Try coming before the lunch rush for a more laid back experience. Minus one star because my pie was just a bit blackened on the crust which is not really up my alley. Mystie was awesome at the front end taking orders.

I got this pizza from my work, and I have to say for an order that was over 150, I am severely disappointed. The pizza was burned to a crisp, black curled edges. The toppings were very uneven, I had green chili and mushrooms and several slices that did not even have green chile on them and I had to chew and really try to get through the crust. I will definitely not be back to this restaurant.

Pablo helped us out! He was very helpful as it was our first time there. He Suggested a great deal for us as well as prepared it for us! Other staff there was also welcoming! Thank you all at blaze pizza!!

This place is pretty good if you want some yummy pizza. They are kind of like the Chipotle of pizza places, you pick which crust you want, then the sauce, then the toppings. Then they cook your pizza in a brick oven very quickly. It is a great place to hang out and they have some interesting drink choices as well. All in all a good place to get pizza if you are hungry in ABQ!

Great food. Nice patio. Excellent service from all staff members! A high five for sure! Crust is vegan. I'm not vegan, but it's good the original is nice & thin but not too thin. They have a thicker option for those that prefer. They also have 2 other healthy crust options that also sounded amazing. This was my first time & a definite must try

Went for the first time on Pi Day and I have to say the pizza was beyond yummy. It was clearly the busiest day out of the year and the workers handled the crazy amount of people with poise. Those workers definitely deserve a raise! Will be coming back for sure.

Great location with fast and friendly service. Tons of great options for crust, including gluten free keto crust and gluten free cauliflower crust. Tons of great toppings for pizza and the build your own pizza includes them all. Beer and wines available along with traditional and some unique soft drink and lemonade options.

Only been a couple times but keep getting attitude from the people taking orders. From forgetting to finish my pizza, missing ingredients and then just forgetting to take it out of the oven. been to other blaze locations in another state and was honestly disappointed

Customer service was poor. Pizza was poorly made. Crew team definitely needs some proper training, same with the crew leader. Very disappointing and disrespectful. "Ceasar" needs to coach and manager his team properly. Register girl gave us attitude as if doing her job was a hassle for her. Not coming back!!!

Pretty good pizza! They didn't have anything on tap unfortunately but the did have a nice selection of canned beers. You could easily share 2 or 3 pizzas among a party of 4. I got the white sauce alfredo bacon pizza and it was full of flavor. I would consider coming here again to try their other pizzas. More

Blaze Pizza....more like Burnt Pizza. Hard to taste the flavor of the toppings, because all we could taste was the chard crust. Hopefully it was just an off night for them.

I have a 5:15 pick-up but when I got there at a little past 5:15 they haven’t cooked the pizza yet, so I waited another 15 mins to get my order done. 3-4 staff working behind the counter didn’t seem to be in a hurry to do what they needed to do. Pizza was ok, but customer service sucks.

Someone accidentally took my order from the pickup station. Isaiah let me know right away and asked how to best serve me. His customer service and remedy of the situation was professional and thoughtful. Kudos to Isaiah and the team!

Came here for a keto pizza while passing by Albuquerque. Pizza can be built picking from the toppings available or selected from their menu. Keto crust is thin and 10” only, but the final product is good.

Make your own pizza - lots of toppings, lots of options. You choose the toppings, they do the baking. There’s also a preset menu if you’re not creative. Gluten free crust available as well as salads. Beer and the best blood orange lemonade on the planet.

I visited at 3 pm on a Saturday and the place was very busy. I had to wait about 20 minutes for my food. It wouldn't have been a big issue but they separated my "take 2" order so my half pizza arrived before my half order of cheesy bread.

We placed an order online via Postmates and I was impressed at how easy it was! Our vegan pizza was made perfectly, right down to the balsamic glaze (!!!) — absolutely delicious!! We will order again! Thank you Blaze Pizza! …

Me and my family came in for dinner and was hoping to have a pleasant meal. Well the staff had other things in mind. My self and my family were greeted with smaking gum and bad attitude. We stood around for 15min before they even started

There was no soap in the bathroom and when I asked employees how they wash their hands they said they have no extra soap looked at each other and laughed I didn't want to risk unsanitary conditions so left without ordering

Wow! It was amazing! We never been to a place like that . It was like subway style but hand made and baked pizzas instead of toasted subs. Great salad choices too, and deserts looked yummy. We skipped the deserts though.
