I really wanted to like this place. I decided to treat myself because it’s been a hard couple of weeks so I booked a pedicure at what I thought was a real spa to get ample relaxation. All the great reviews are what made me choose this place. I’m really disappointed and I have no plans to return. The girl who did my pedicure was incredibly nice and sweet, but she was brand new. Sounded like she was in her first 2 weeks. This 90 minute service turned into 2 hours but there was nothing relaxing about it. No foot massage, no lotion, it was literally just trimming my toe nails, cleaning the cuticles (not done very well), and taking 90 minutes to apply the gel polish. I booked the deluxe gel with nail art. Because I wanted French tip. This service said it had everything included in the regular deluxe pedicure service which also included a “Epicuren hydrating mineral mask, followed by a foot massage with your choice of Blooming Moon Lotion blend to relieve tension” none of this was included. The majority of the service required me to hold my foot in unrelaxing positions to allow the gel to dry under the lamp. About 90 minutes worth. The gel came out uneven and chunky, the polish flooded the cuticles, and the lines for my French tip were uneven. I felt really bad because I had already corrected her twice, and I didn’t want to ask her to fix more things and seem demanding. The service was also taking much longer than I had anticipated so I didn’t have time for her to correct those things. For the entirety of the service, I was sitting right next to the window and even being fully clothed in jeans and a long sleeved shirt I was shivering. The seat was a wooden bench with way too many pillows stacked to the edge of the seat. In order To sit, I had to move about 3 or 4 pillows to find a seat and there was no where to put them (my girls with anxiety know why this is a complaint). My feet were cold the entire time. I had to put on my winter coat in the middle of the service because it was unbearable. I was really hoping to leave the spa feeling better than when I had walked in, but instead I felt like I wasted my time and money. I would have had a much more relaxing experience at a regular nail salon.

Pro: the space/ambiance is lovely and fit what I was looking for (a pedicure more focused on relaxation than making your nails fancy). I like that the pedicure area is cozy (not utilitarian) and only accommodates two clients at a time, for more privacy. Con: I booked using a discount BM had advertised, but they did not apply the discount at checkout (understandable, mistakes happen). They acknowledged this was their error but initially said that my "refund" for the overcharged amount would be issued in store credit, and I had to (respectfully) insist a lot in order to ultimately get a real refund issued for the overcharged amount. Money-wise this appears to be resolved, but vibe-wise it left a bad taste in my mouth that whether I had a right to get overcharged money back (not in store credit) was ever a question/debate in the first place. Being told "sure thing, we just need a few days to process that" would have been just fine. Couple smaller concerns: my nail polish application isn't super professional looking (although this wasn't my priority in the first place), and they have a sign at the front incentivizing customer reviews with a 10% discount, which does introduce some bias to the reviews on here and appears to be prohibited by Google if not also the FTC. (Pseudonym for privacy)

We rented out their backyard space for part of a Bachelorette we threw, and it really exceeded our expectations! The backyard was very thoughtfully laid out. It had two separate seating areas, one with a fire pit and the other area which was tucked a little further behind with a hot tub, covered table with seats, and a studio that included a full bathroom (steam shower, sink, toilet), refrigerator, couch/seats, and a kitchenette. They had even stocked the fridge with a variety of waters and bubbly, and provided tea and snacks! Each of the girls in our party had booked at least one service, and were pleased with the level of care each person received. I got the Lemon + Lavendar Summer Pedicure and enjoyed 60 minutes of pampering and polish. From planning and communication, to preparing everything we needed to make it a special Spa Day, Ginny (the owner/esthetician) and Sam (spa manager) went above and beyond! All the staff were very friendly and kind too! Would definitely recommend Blooming Moon Wellness Spa for your next private Spa event.

This place is wonderful! Such a cozy and welcoming vibe when you walk in, and everyone is so friendly. I went in a couple days ago for a facial (the first one I've had in about 10 years) and my skin feels the best that it has in a long time. I usually have sensitive skin, but right away felt like I was in good hands with Erica. They were absolutely amazing throughout the whole session: super knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and overall great at what they do. I ended up getting the membership and genuinely can't wait to go back again. I originally found Blooming Moon through a friend who arranged a party in their outdoor space over the summer. Highly recommend that experience for a special occasion as well! The manicure I got at that time was the gentlest one I've ever had (no knicks or cuts or irritations to my skin, which I feel usually happens to me at other places). If you're looking to treat yourself at all, this is the place to go.

Blooming Moon Wellness Spa creates such a calming energy the moment that you walk through the doors. Such amazing and friendly service from everyone that I have interacted with. Huge shout out to Kelly Spillane who has provided me with the most amazing facials that I have ever had in my life. Kelly is so kind, caring, and creates such a calming experience anytime that I schedule a service with her. She is so knowledgable in what she does and I feel that I am learning a ton about the current state of my skin without it feeling overwhelming. I also feel that I walk away from my session with some great tools to continue skin care even after my visit. My skin has improved drastically in giving it the hydration that it needs and I feel so much more in tune with what my skin needs after learning from Kelly. If you are looking for an above and beyond treatment, Kelly is your gal!

I recently had the best facial of my life with Katie. I had a bad allergic reaction about a month before my appointment and my skin was still in rough shape. Katie really listened to my skincare concerns and asked a lot of questions before diving in to the facial, she was really knowledgeable about products and ingredients, and I felt well cared for during the entire experience. The facial was so great, when I checked out afterwards I signed up for the monthly membership so I can get one every month. Not only was the facial an incredible experience, but when I woke up the next morning, there was a significant improvement in the inflammation caused by the allergic reaction. My skin is both looking and feeling better than it has in over a month and I couldn't be happier.

A couple of months ago I went into Blooming Moon for the first time, just before a friends wedding, for a manicure and pedicure. The spa is really beautiful, a revamped craftsman home, filled with beautiful items and it smelled so, so good. My pedicure was conducted by Hayleigh and she was very sweet. We had a genuine conversation and she was very kind to me on a stressful day. She also did an excellent job on the pedicure, the best I've ever had! I would highly recommend both Hayleigh and Blooming Moon Wellness Spa. I hope to go back again soon!

I got a 90min massage from Amanda where she worked on some very entrenched shoulder pain. Within a few seconds I knew I was in extremely skilled hands & was able to relax and trust her. Thanks to her innovative deep techniques and incredible control, she was able to release many layers of trigger points and scar tissue. She also gave me some followup stretches to maintain the openness. My previous visit to Blooming Moon was equally therapeutic. I highly recommend this place especially if you're dealing with persistent muscle pain.

This spa is awesome, they have everything figured out! From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave you will be emerged in their line of custom products. I end up going with a body polish Dead Sea exfoliation and it was amazing. My massage therapist Rachael was very skillful and professional. After your body treatments you get to take a rinse off in their sauna shower. What a genius way to end a spa treatment. I will definitely be returning soon, and I know if you try this spa out, you will too!

Such a beautiful and welcoming space. I had an amazing soak and steam here that was just what I needed after a very long week working on the computer. I also had a facial with Amelia that was incredible! She is so kind and knowledgeable. She helped me understand how to build a routine that’s right for my specific needs and definitely went above and beyond from start to finish. My skin looks soooooo much better!! Just had a fantastic pedicure with Rachel! I came here because I wanted non-toxic polish and am so glad I did. The salon is lovely and Rachel was super friendly and gave an incredible massage. I’ve been having a lot of pain with my feet recently and this is the most relieved I’ve felt in a long time. Plus, my toes look great! Felt like I had an actual foot treatment and that’s not always the case with other salons. Can’t wait to come back and try other services!

I had a wonderful time visiting Blooming Moon for the first time this weekend. Booked the Coffee scrub body treatment with Rachel and had a killer scalp massage! My skin is now so soft & supple, and the scalp massage took away my tension headache from all this heat. The spa is nice, clean, and smells heavenly. The steam/shower room was well-kept. And the staff respect all COVID-19 guidelines. I look forward to booking other services at Blooming Moon!

I love this place! The atmosphere is very calm and relaxing. They have water for you while you wait and after your service. I had a facial with Kelly and i loved it. We talked about my skin concerns before hand and then she inspected to see what it needed most. From there it was a customized facial based on my own skins' needs. It was very relaxing and she gave me tips for fixing my skin issues. Would recommend and can't wait to their other services.

This place is incredible. All of the massage therapists are so good at their jobs and so kind (I’ve worked with Amanda, Kayla, and Bex). I leave there every time feeling light and relaxed. I visited Blooming Moon for a massage, first one ever. The front desk, Samantha and Emily, were very: accommodating, professional, and friendly. The waiting area was pretty comfy and smelled great! Leslie was the LMT and she was awesome! After the massage, it felt like I was on cloud 9. Will definitely be going back and visiting her and the rest of this great crew here.

What an incredible eco-friendly and environmentally conscious spa in Portland! We went here for my friends Bacherlorette Party in August with a group from all over the world. Pedicures, bubbles, and a fabulous ambiance cultivated by the talented staff make Blooming Moon a premier destination in Portland. I’m a local and so happy they’re offering sugaring services now!

Rowan was absolutely AMAZING I’ve never had someone actually alleviate my shoulder pain, he was very receptive to my specifications and even offered some helpful stretches! Going to see a new massage therapist can be a little daunting but Rowan went above and beyond to make everything very comfortable and relaxing! 10/10 definitely the best massage I’ve ever had!

Love this little oasis! I get to leave any stress outside the door and just step into calm and pampering. Pedicures with a friend are a perfect way to catch up and I finally treated myself to a Blooming Moon Signature Facial which was absolute heaven. Kelly left my skin glowing and I felt as regenerated as my face.

Hands down the best place to get a massage! They made me feel so relaxed and the place was like being at home. I did the couples massage and the signature facial with scalp massage.
