Dr littlejohn is the best vet and only vet i have ever had. I have never thought about switching vets. He's so caring and the staff are just so amazing.. Recently i had to go have a surgery done on my dog. he explained the prodecure in full and the risks and the other options that i had so i would understand everything before coming to a decision. They may be alittle expensive for low income people like myself butim telling ya. its worth every penny. They truley care about your animals. My dad who helped me transport him after the surgery . he was absoulutly shocked that my clinic actually cares. He thought i was being ripped off at first till he actually met dr littlejon and the staff and he was just so suprised with this clinic .. Theres litterly.one bad thing and that is that there hours suck... I wish they were open more.

I love this practice as a whole and Dr Littlejohn is just great in so many ways- he’s straight up, detailed, attentive, explains things very clearly and without rushing, compassionate etc you can just tell this is truly his passion. He often will follow up at the end of the day or a few days later after you see him to see how your pet is doing which I just really think is so amazing. He makes efforts to be as reasonable as possible with costs and will tell you what is essential and what would be maybe not as essential. I moved around a lot with my last dog so have seen a variety of vets and dr Littlejohn is the best. My last dog I was at the clinic practically every 2-3 weeks her last few months and the care the whole clinic team gave to me and my dog was unparalleled. Very selfishly, I hope he never retires.

I am new to Edmonton. When I first brought my tiny Shih Poo puppy to them he was very shy and scared. It was especially tough oh my puppy and me as COVID was in full swing and I had to wait outside while my puppy got his first exam. The Doctor told me to bring him around about once a week before his next visit or he could end up with a life long fear of vet clinics. I really appreciate how the staff would take time out at lunch to stop and socialise with my little puppy, and on the next visit for booster shots the Doctor commented that I had done a wonderful job socializing my puppy. The clinic now cares for my 2 ageing Ragdoll cats as well as my Shih Poo who is just turning 1 year old next week. Great practice I am glad I found a good vet in my new city.

I took my cat to this hospital to see his diarrhea. Spent $450+ and it ended up the cat was recovered from the medication I used for myself. There is no diagnose from this hospital. What I received are option 1, option 2, option 3, option 4... They didn't recommend which option is the most effective. What they wanted is you try and pay all options and other unnecessary check. During the check the vet found there was a swelling on my cat's back. And he asked about $800 to get rid of it. I went to another clinic for a second opinion, at there the vet suggested leave it until my cat feels very uncomfortable with it. It became smaller and smaller and gone now. I will never go to Blue Cross once again.

Excellent. Great staffs and Dr. David Littlejohn is awesome. Our feline Savannah had her first visit, her vaccine to bloodwork’s until her spay operation, and Dr. Littlejohn was very patient, helpful, very good and very knowledgeable. Savannah’s operation is perfect, never had any problems even if Savannah runs around the house and very confused when we got home, her wound was stable and perfect. Dr. Littlejohn and his staffs continued to monitor our Savannah every day making sure that everything is ok. It’s been one and a half months now since the spay and our Savannah is perfectly healed and as healthy as happy as she can be. Thank you all.

We've been bringing our dog to Dr. Little John for the last four years. He has always received prompt and thorough care and the vet always seems to try to understand our pets unique needs. Staff is friendly, and the location is handy though parking is limited to a few stalls. I've noticed other people mention that it can take over a week to get an appointment. It's been our experience that they can usually get us in over the next few days but pets needing emergency care should visit the Edmonton Veterinarians' Emergency Clinic. It's pricier but almost always available.

Took my kitten in for the first time and the staff was super friendly and responded immediately. The vet spoke to me in detail about what he would be doing with my kitten and asked all the necessary questions, he also left me with lots of information to best take care of him. Even with the covid drop off system I was acknowledged through the windows by the vet and the other staff. They made my little guy and I very comfortable. Very satisfied! There is also a good amount of parking which was good to know!

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Littlejohn and his staff. I had inadvertently adopted a very difficult dog, and they worked tirelessly with me (and him) to get the help we needed. Hamish left us far too early and even in that Dr. Littlejohn and his staff went above and beyond. From an after hours phone call to extend their condolences, to a card in the mail that was filled with personal and heart felt messages. You could not find a more caring group of people.

Dr. Littlejohn is the best of the best. He cares so much about his patients and their owners! I had to bring my family dog in a couple months ago to be put down. The staff were so incredible to me and my family. Giving us as much time as we needed and so much comfort. Dr. Littlejohn has a passion for animals and it shows in his work. I have taken all my animals to see him and I will absolutely continue too. Would recommend again and again.

One of the best vet I have ever been to. We unfortunately had to put our 17 year old dog down during covid and the staff was extremely accommodating and compassionate during the process. Dr. Little always cared about our little fur babies and after visiting many veterinarians. This will always be my favorite and highly recommended place because of the exceptional service from all the staffs and the knowledge from dr. Little

Just really good caring practice that cares the most about your pets upmost optimum health. Not enough great things to say about the wonderful people who work here. Salt of the earth. I won't sparey pets health at any costs. The vet managed to catch my aging cats ailments in time so I can give him the best treatment in years to come. Thank you Dr. Littlejohn and his awesome team.

Dr. Littlejohn and team are amazing. Friendly, professional and treat our pups with such gentle care. Dr. Littlejohn explains every treatment in easy to understand language and genuinely cares for your pets like their one of his own. His technicians are equally considerate and our dogs have no issues or fear of the vet. I wouldn't take my four-legged family anywhere else!

Our first visit to Blue Cross was, unfortunately, to have our elderly kitty put down. The staff were professional and tremendously kind, and made every effort to explain every step of the process, while reassuring us that our pet was not in pain. They made a very difficult time bearable. When we're ready to adopt our next pet, we'll definitely bring it here.

I have been coming here for over 10 years, great doctor & staff. I highly recommend this pet hospital as i have had terrible experiences at other places. Its never good when you have to bring your fur baby in to see the vet but when i have to i have a piece of mind coming here knowing the team are friendly, caring & super knowledgeable so thanks blue cross!!

Dr. Littlejohn and staff have always been extremely thorough, professional and deeply compassionate for my two cats. To the point where he has called me on his own time (weekends) for follow up discussions. It is obvious of this man's love for his work and animals in general - especially their well being. No one better in Edmonton. Highly recommend!

In my opinion the Blue Cross animal hospital cares more about the money than the animals the doctor over there took over $1,000 of my money I made the mistake of telling him I had a thousand and he made sure he took all plus and my cat was worse off if I was a pet owner I would think twice about going to this vet clinic. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We were first time guests at the Blue Cross Animal Hospital and the entire process from booking to the actual examination of our new puppy was nothing but fantastic. Dr. S is incredibly knowledgeable, kind and caring and the tech team was incredibly friendly. We highly recommend this practice!

Just moved to a new facility which is well appointed. Polite and efficient reception and great vets! On my last visit I met a vet filling in for my regular vet (Dr. Littlejon), and she did an excellent exam of my black lab. Knowledgeable, great communication with me, clearly very competent.

Always a caring response, with good suggestions (pros and cons) on any procedures. Have been going there for decades and Littlejohns have continued keeping the business as professional and welcoming as ever. For routine or emergency events, Blue Cross has done an outstanding job.

Upon finding out I needed to euthanize my ginger hellion, Gus Gus, I decided to look for a new vet (I was not happy with my previous one). The Littlejohn's are amazing people. Their staff are wonderful. They made this painful experience a little more easy to bare.
