I placed what I thought was a simple order, a single purple flower to wear in my hair for a wedding. The order was not ready at the pick up time. The employee was friendly enough and quickly created something, but the flower was dried and was of poor quality. She tried twice, but both flowers looked wilted. I paid almost $30. It was poor value and poor quality. Go to Trader Joe's around the corner for better flowers at a better price.

Diane can truly sculpture a masterpiece whether its the centerpiece for a special event, or just to show that special someone how much you really care. I asked for an arrangement with daisies and no roses and was charged a pretty penny for 4 single daisies. I want to support local business, but at that price, I’m better off walking to the Trader Joe’s down the street and getting a full arrangement for my money instead of having to piece together a bouquet, simply because I didn’t want roses in the arrangement.

I agree they have beautiful flowers and if you are there on the weekends to stroll through Eastern Market, they are great. However, they don’t answer the phone, including the one they post in the booth to contact if they are “out on a delivery” and they aren’t reliably open during the week. I have never been able to get anyone to answer, ever.

Their flowers are beautiful, and our arrangements usually last quite a while. But NO ONE will ever pick up the phone! I've tried to call on multiple occasions and have never been successful. My husband, who can just drop by easily, will probably continue to get a bouquet from here every now and then, but I give up.

I loved everything about my experience with Blue Iris. Diane treated me like their most important client, even though I placed just a small order. Then the staff went above and beyond during snow to ensure my flowers got to to my friend. He loved the arrangement, sent me a pic - It was lovely. Thank you Blue Iris

We ordered an orchid to be delivered on Thursday. On Friday, when we found out it hadn’t been delivered so we called. They assured us it would be delivered that afternoon. It wasn’t. Seems like a scam. Don’t use Blue Orchid. There are other florists on Capitol Hill.

Very beautiful flowers delivered. Very happy with the service. Great customer service as flowers initially didn’t get to my daughter and they sent out another arrangement to her even though they said the initial order was delivered- not at fault of the florist.

WE ORDERED FLOWERS FOR MOTHERS DAY TO BE DELIVERED FRIDAY 5-10-19. AS OF TUESDAY 5-14-19 SHE STILL HAS NOT GOTTEN HER FLOWERS WE CALLED AND ASKED FOR INFO ON THE ORDER AND THEY SAID WE ARE BUSY CALL BACK LATER.

Not sure how these people in Maryland or DC make money because their professionalism is very very poor but now I see why they only have a review at three because their customer service is very poorly

Ordered Valentines flowers to ge delivered days before Valentine's Day..never delivered and on hold over 20 minutes on phone. No one ever picked up.

Arrived an hour after opening. It wasn't busy, but no one had time for me to buy a couple of red roses. I would have saved time driving elsewhere.
