I love this shop. It's a little off the beaten path in terms of popular stores that may be similar in the area, but that's what's great about it because it's not overly crowded. The staff is nice, and they have some cool offerings from books to clothing. **updated October 2023** I recently popped in with my teenager kiddo to see what new offerings they had, and she found some really pretty liquid lipsticks and picked out a color she wanted. However, when we got home and I opened the lipstick, I realized she had the wrong color. I called the store and let them know what happened and asked if I could exchange it for the same brand but in a different color the following morning. The person I spoke with over the phone was polite and stated they'd let the morning person know. The following morning, we went in, and sure enough, the morning person knew to expect us and took care of us. The exchange was very easy and simple. We don't make it into this store very often despite living in the city, but for those that are into what store has to offer, I highly recommend it. Also, if you're into supporting local businesses, this store carries items that are created by local people, including the cosmetics and jewelry. Thank you, Boutique Du Vampyre!

(Visited Jan 13/17, Jan 15/17, and Jan 17/17 - Various Times) Visiting the Boutique Du Vampyre was probably one of the highlights of my trip. I'd done a little research prior to actually going. This one of my FAVOURITE SHOPS in the French Quarter. Handcrafted items from Vampires Diaries, The Originals, True Blood, and Twilight, this quaint little shop has something for every vampire enthusiast. Mortals and Vampires Welcome! Marita, was absolutely welcoming, warm, friendly, everything you could want in a shop host/owner. I NEVER FELT PRESSURED to buy anything. She gave my friends and I information about all the products in the store, told us about the Secret Vampire Bar called "Potions", and was very helpful showing us some of the secret and hidden gems of the French Quarter using her own handmade tourist map. I also had my Tarot read - first time, on Friday the 13th, under a Full Moon, and WOW! What an experience. My friends and I were thoroughly impressed by the hospitality of her and other employees. I highly recommend a visit to this shop for a Tarot Reading, Charm Candle, and information on any Vampire/Dark History Tours. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

I had gone to this store in 2015 my last trip to Nola, the owner had been working and the items in the store were fantastic! Books signed by the authors and tons of interesting products to look at I spent a lot. Going back this time everything was cheap, the two young women working were basic goth high schoolers who were rude and made everyone in the store uncomfortable. Nothing worth purchasing as shown on their site was in the store. They had no signed books and were just as bad as the kitschy tourist stores. So sad this place has lost all its magic.

This store is really cool. The prices where not Gouging. And very unique one-of-a-kind pieces we bought a few things that were super excited about. But most importantly we drove all the way back down here from Florida to come get a custom fang smithing appointment from a private party they offer. I believe his name was Melvin and he was great. Such high quality. The four stars are for the lack of customer service and bitterness from the female employee. ( not the man) overall I will come here Every time I’m in New Orleans

Love love love this shop, it’s for both mortals and vampires. The whole town gives off this spooky yet amazing vibe. It’s filled with unique and interesting things like this. Being obsessed with vampires, I have to go in and visit. It’s located in the French Quarter, it’s a small shop but they have all the vampire essentials haha. Lots of cool stuff. I believe it’s one of the first vampire-themed boutiques in the world. Recommend this place, you won’t be disappointed.

You hear about a lot of places being voodoo like and you hear all the stories about how voodoo is tgis and voodoo is that....and all I gotta say is...You better believe voodoo is REAL!! Anyway this store is full of all type of cool and interesting pieces of all the stuff you heard about! So if you're ever in the area and wanna learn more about what you thought you knew... stop by and aee for yourself! The staff is very kind and informative about all of thee above.

Wow .. as you walk through the door you are hit with a sweet but deep in sense smell that made you want to hug(or bite) everyone, Frances and Irin on top of the sweet aroma greeted you with a most peaceful greeting , not onle where Irin and Frances very knowledgeable about the entire shop (as they should) but where extremely knowledgeable about Nola, next time in Nola I am definitely coming back

One of my favorite shops in French Quarter. I love the medley of Gothic and vampire inspired items sold here. The store keeper also had such a friendly persona which I found as a pleasant surprise considering this is a goth store. She greets everyone who comes in with a smile and a little introduction about the shop, how everything is made by local artists. A must visit shop when in NOLA.

I enjoyed this shop, loved the vampire aesthetic. I was expecting a bigger store but it's pretty small. Had a lot of items for sale and prices weren't too bad but certain items seemed over priced. I bought a cute lipstick that was in the shape of a wine bottle for $22. They had a lot of colors to choose from, all with themed names. The employees were nice.

The best spot in town for all your vamp needs! I came here to get my teeth and I love them sooo much I never took them off ( besides eating) the whole time in New Orleans. I got compliments on how good they look when I got home. I also got to cool items out the shop as well love this place and will visit when in town always!

If you are vampire fan i would highly recommend visiting this place. I am a Vampire Diaries and The Originals fan. The woman in the store told me that the producers come in there a lot to buy the journals they have whenever there is a scene of someone writing in a journal and they support local artists. Very cool place.

  • Gustavo Martinez

The woman who ran the shop was extremely knowledgeable and it was refreshing to see how much she really loved her shop and what she did. I purchased this cool bag of blood and this special type of candle that Wards off bad Omens and spirits. I would definitely return to New Orleans just to visit the shop again.

  • Miakoda And Epsom the Salty Possum

Always the best to visit, dark, nostalgic, beautiful, will always visit when in NOLA. Sad they don't carry blood bags in stock anymore but they opened their own Vampire Cafe next door and made adult beverages called Blood Bags so that's new and fun! Always will recommend this amazing shop.

This place was amazing! The food is on the pricey side but you get what you pay for. By far one of the best restaurants I've been to in my life. Stake amazing and the desert was fluffy and delicious. The staff is funny and anwserd all questions I had. Would 100% recommend going!

Cute store with vampire themed items! I bought a beautiful black and white print of a spider web. The staff was very friendly and took the time to share other sites that we may have wanted to see on our trip! There is even a coffin to stand in for photos!

What a wonderful little gem of a store. Curiosities of all types abound here. Thanks for the nice intro into New Orleans culture. Loved the bottles to capture Vampires and the cute little Vampire Wine Cape.

  • Thingsinowknow

One of the highlights of our NOLA trip. Loved everything there. Spend more money than we planned, but with no regrets. Would do it again. Also- it provided us with the key to another unique adventure.

We were so incredibly happy that we happened upon this place! Every establishment affiliated with the Vampire, Café, etc. is phenomenal. We couldn’t have been happier or had a better experience!
